The last time she had been to Lolo's had been almost eight weeks ago, it was the last night she had seen and heard from Finn. It had been the same night she and Finn had broken things up and splitted in a pretty harsh manner. Now she was there with a small group off colleagues, the eight of them were seated in a big table in the back of the restaurant, close to the kitchen and bar. The restaurant itself was relatively small, it held place for a maximum of fifty people. From where Meredith was sitting, she had perfect view over the table she had sit at last time when she was dining with Finn. It felt kind of strange to be back at the restaurant, normally she loved it here, most memories were good and fond ones, it was her most favourite restaurant after all. But this time she found it harder to enjoy herself, her thoughts went back to that faithful night, and Finn's words kept rewinding in her mind, which made it harder for her to keep up with the ongoing conversations at the table.
It hadn't been their first fight over Derek in the two and half years they were together, most fights had been about him. It was the same story over and over again, Finn felt neglected, subordinated or disappointed. And it had always been Meredith who inflected those feelings upon him. Their entire relationship had been hard work, it never was naturally. She wondered if Finn had felt the same way, like he always had to deliver more than he could. It never looked like he wanted to invest in her, but he demanded her to cross bridges which weren't made yet. It was subordinate to him that she was drowning while she was trying to make the bridge herself. She had heard from many people that relationships were hard work, and she believed that the moment she started dating Finn.
Of course, when they started dating it had been nice, good actually, he was the first guy who had really tried to pursue Meredith. He arranged cute dates, brought ice-cream and flowers, texted her throughout the day and was really interested in her. He was the first guy she dated whom she told about her family situation; he had listened and he seemed to completely understand the difficult depth of her relationship with her parents. But further into the relation she began to wonder, was he really listening to hear her problems or was he listening to reply and inject his opinion in to her. He always had some kind of judgement ready to spew, always had certain ideas on how to get things fixed and was always pushing her into the direction he had chosen to be best for her. He tried to convinced Meredith that Ellis had always wanted what was best for her, he told her that she couldn't deny that Meredith had always been a kind of difficult and time-consuming person.
At first, she had been kind of sceptical but the more he had repeated the same words over and over again the more convinced she had become about his rightness. The two people who claimed to love her were inflicting the same things in to her, they wouldn't do that if they didn't mean them. It wasn't to hurt her, they were simply stating facts, and even though it did in fact hurt it didn't mean they were lying. What she hadn't released back then, but became clearer now that they weren't dating anymore, was that he wasn't having her interests at heart. He had his own interest at heart, he was looking out for himself. And he wanted to turn her in to someone she had never been, he wanted to knead her in to the woman he had in mind.
It was a small tradition for some of the hospital staff to have a small Christmas celebration before the actual festive activities started, this year Callie had initiated the dinner. Meredith, Derek, Cristina, Mark, Izzie, Alex and Owen had decided to tag along, all had the night off and were in for conversation, good food and a couple of drinks. Their dessert had just been served when there suddenly was a laughter going around along the group, apparently Meredith had completely missed the joke since she was so lost in thoughts.
Suddenly she felt Derek's hand in her hand, giving it a light squeeze, he scooted a bit closer to her. Making sure the others were still deeply in conversation, when he whispered in her ear. 'Are you feeling, okay? You seem a bit distracted.'
'I don't know..' she tried to find the right words, but couldn't fantom them. She didn't want to disturb or scare him; she was just a bit low-spirited nothing to be worried about. She had been doing fine all day, it had just started when she came in to the restaurant. 'I just feel a little down or something, no biggie. I will be okay.'
She couldn't tell if she had convinced him, but it seemed to be working. His focus was momentarily back to the other people around the table before he faced her again. 'Let me distract you for a bit, later you can tell me what has gotten your mind in fuss.'
She barely gave him a nod before he removed his hand from hers and settled it on her leg, close to her knee.
'I have been trying to behave all evening, but it has been so damned hard, you look so incredibly gorgeous tonight, Mer.' he breathed in to her ear, giving the lobe a small kiss before he continued. 'I can't wait to get you alone for a minute. I have been dying to see that look of pure bliss on your face the moment you fall over the edge of total bliss. God, nothing beats watching you come undone under my touch. Tell me you want that too.'
Again, she gave a slight nod, not being able to form any coherence sentences. He moved his head back to the table, giving them some space, at the same time he started a sweet torture onto her body.
She was wearing a dark green knee length dress, black panty tights and high heels, she wasn't one to normally dress up but sometimes she did go all out. She had looked forward to tonight, she could flirt with Derek, get him al worked up for the weekend, even though she doubted that he needed any more encouragement. He had been eye-fucking her all week, and he made sure she was aware of it too, giving her hot and heavy looks. Before her thoughts had taken over, she had felt confident and strong, sexy even. And now that little spark was returning, he was igniting the flame again, like he always seemed to be able to do.
His hand wandered over her leg under the table, stroking it up and down, all the while he was engrossed in a light conversation with Owen. Every time he moved his hands a little closer to the insides of her thighs, slowly dragging the dress she was wearing a little bit more up each time moving his hand higher on to her leg. She could feel the desire starting building inside the pit of her stomach, he knew what he was doing, he was playing her like a freaking violin. She was concentrating on keeping an even breathing, not letting the others show how much he was affecting her.
'So, do you have any big plans coming up for Christmas?' Owen directed his question to Derek.
'We are going to my parents; they are hosting a small Christmas party for the family. Do you have any plans?' Derek responded, trying to keep as cool as possible, he could feel the trembling in Meredith's legs.
'We?' Cristina and Izzie chipped in at the exact same time.
He had to withhold a small snicker, so she hadn't told her besties what she was going to do this Christmas. 'Yes, Meredith is tagging along. Nobody should be alone during Christmas.'
His hands were wandering dangerously close to her core, she was trying to keep a straight face, follow the ongoing conversation and enjoying Derek's touch. It was a bit much to do at the same time. Her main focus was on the feelings he was implying on to her. She could feel she was close to losing her cool.
'You are going with him, Mer?' Cristina questioned her directly.
'Ahhhw..' she let out a stifled moan. Quickly covering it up with a small cough. 'Yes. Going.. with.. him...'
'And you think that is normal?' Christina never had been one of the subtle approaches. But this tone of voice wasn't sitting well with Izzie.
'Let her be, don't you think she can decide that for herself?!' Izzie replied to Cristina, which started a small discussion between the two of them.
Meredith had zoned out; she couldn't bother to reply to either of them. She could only feel Derek's hand, she was so close, it was embarrassing how easily he got her to the edge of an orgasm.
With one hard press of his hand against her covered folds, she was coming undone. It was a small delightful orgasm, she closed her eyes shortly and took a deep breath, before it had even started it was already finished.
'You are so going to pay for that, mister.' she whispered seductively in to his ear, her hand quickly stroked over his hard-on. 'What do you think, can we skip the weekends only for one night?'
'Is that even a question?' he answered with a slight smirk.
