"I was surprised to get your call," Jeff Kohn said to Jax. Jax had called and said that he would like to meet him at a local spot that he did business. A place called Diosa. "I was hoping to speak to Tara, though."

Jeff eyed the scantily clad women. Every so often one would walk by and run their finger down his arm and smile at him seductively.

"You will not speak to her at all. My wife has been through enough shit from your family," Jax looked at the man in front of him with hard blue eyes. "And I'd rather you not speak about her as if you know her."

He had a hard time looking past the face of the man who had traumatized his love. Just thinking about the horrible details of the trauma his Old Lady suffered at the hands of a man whom she trusted her life to, made him want to reach across the space between them and beat him bloody.

Tara had told him everything that had happened between them. About the first time Kohn showed his possessiveness and brutality. It happened the first time he asked her to have the 'Crow' marking her as an Old Lady removed. Tara had refused, saying it was a part of her past and he would have to get used to it. He had grabbed her around the throat and said he would take her to have it removed and she didn't have any more say in the matter. He left that night and came back the next day as if nothing happened.

She told him about the week she realized she was pregnant by him. She waited until she knew he was at work and she went to a clinic for the abortion. What she didn't know was Josh had put a tracking device on her. He was waiting outside for her after. He was heartbroken. She had just killed his child. A child he was having with a woman he loved. He beat her savagely that night. Keeping towards her torso and legs. Areas she could cover up.

She managed to talk a magistrate into giving her a restraining order, but she knew that wasn't enough. Restraining orders did automatically drop a barrier down around you when the perpetrator came near you. She had to come up with a plan to get away from him.

Unfortunately that plan came in the form of her father's passing. She honestly hadn't been thinking about Jax when she came home. All she knew was that Josh had an out of town assignment. That gave her the time she needed to get the hell out of Dodge. She packed light. The few things she kept precious to her, leaving no trace of where she went.

But Kohn abused his authority and power as an ATF agent to do his personal bidding again. He had tracked her down.

"My brother told me about Tara. He told me that he loved her but that she was obsessed with you. With the Sons of Anarchy. He did all he could to make her love him, then she used him to keep tabs on your club," Jeff said, his eyes constantly roaming over the female forms that moved around him.

"I'm going to tell you a few things about your brother that you might not be aware of. It's all been officially documented between Chicago and Charming," Jax said.

Lyla came out of the office then and spotted Jax, "Hey Jax," she walked over to him and they gave each other a side a hug.

"Hey darlin'," he said, kissing her on the cheek.

"Who's your friend?" Lyla smiled at Jeff.

"He's looking for his brother," Jax spoke to Lyla but looked at Jeff, "Tara dated him briefly when she lived in Chicago. Things didn't turn out how he wanted and she came home after her father's death. He followed her. When he wouldn't take 'No' for an answer, I had a few conversations with him. I guess he must have seen the err of his way because he's been missing since."

"Oh," Lyla looked at Jax and knew there was much more to that story. Fucking with Jax Teller's Old Lady was one of the biggest mistakes you could ever make. She knew Jax had brought this man here for a reason. Probably the same reason business men came here. Pussy. Gorgeous woman had a way of doing things to alter a man's mind. "Can I get you anything to drink?" she smiled at Jeff.

Looking Lyla over appreciatively, "Scotch. Neat." he replied, "Maybe with a side of you?" he quirked his eyebrows up.

Chuckling and looking at Jax in amusement, "My old man wouldn't appreciate that, would he Jax?" then walked around Jax to the bar.

"I feel like I've seen her somewhere before. Is she an actress?" Jeff watched her sashay away. Looking at Jax again he was meet by a hard blue glare.

"So serious…." Jeff noted.

"I take the safety of my old lady very seriously," Jax replied.

Lyla brought Jeff his scotch and handed Jax his long neck beer. Jax took a swig of his beer, then reached into the pocket of his kutte and took out a pack of cigarettes. Pulling one out of the pack, he put it between his lips, and lit it with his Reaper Zippo. Inhaling deeply, he blew the smoke out of his lungs and into the air.

"Not going to offer me one?" Jeff asked, after he downed his scotch.

"Don't think this makes us friends or even acquaintances. The only reason I invited you here is because I want you out of my town and away from my wife."

"Afraid she may come to her senses and realize she left a good thing behind?" he asked smugly.

"You really think my old lady pulling a gun on you means she misses your brother?" Jax blew the smoke in his lungs into the air, chuckling at the absurdity of the thought, "If that's the case, maybe you are as fucked up in the head as your psychotic brother."

Gesturing to the empty glass in front of him, "Get your pretty little friend to refill my glass and you can tell me all about that."

Just because he was already tired of dealing with this asshole, Jax stood from the bar stool he was sitting on, leaned across the bar to the bottle, he lips holding the cigarette in his mouth to the side so it wouldn't go straight up his nose, and slammed the bottle in front of Jeff, "Better, your majesty?"

Picking the bottle up and drinking straight from it, "I like your style kid," Jeff laughed after he swallowed, "Now tell me about my brother."

"My old lady dated him for a few months. He wanted to get more serious, she shut him down. Became violent, possessive, aggressive, and dominate. He stalked her when she tried to end things, to get away from him. She came home, here to Charming, to get away from him, to bury her father. But he followed her. Used his ATF credentials to get information on her," Jax stopped and took a drag of his cigarette and swig of his beer.

"And you believed her, of course," Jeff said sarcastically.

Jax bit back the urge to take the bottle of Scotch the man was drinking from and smashing him upside the head with it, "She never told me until I confronted her about it, dick."

"Bitch probably thought you wouldn't believe her," Jeff mumbled, the effects of the liquor he was downing showing up.

Unable to stop himself, Jax's hand shot out and grabbed the front of Jeff's shirt pulling him close to his face, gasps ringing out around them, "Remember, you are talking about my wife," Jax growled low and deep through clenched teeth.

"Oops," he chuckled coldly, "My….. you are very protective of her aren't you?"

"You wouldn't protect the woman you love, have loved for years, the mother of your children?" Jax replied after a few minutes. He had let go of the assholes shirt and took a few deep breaths. Get this dick out of town and away from Tara.

"How far did you go to protect that woman, Mr. Teller?" Jeff asked.

"I WOULD do anything I deem necessary," Jax replied coolly.

"So you play judge, jury and executioner?" Jeff challenged.

"When it comes to mine, you bet your God damn ass I do," Jax promised.

"Is that what happened to my brother?"

Trying to control what was coming out of his mouth, with this piece of shit trying to tangle up his words, Jax picked up his bottle of beer and took a nice big swig, then chuckled bitterly. "Did I kill that psychotic piece of shit brother of yours? The one who tried to hurt what's mine? The guy who tried to hurt my preemie son, who had more birth defects than any kid should ever have? The guy who PISSED in my son's nursery because his mother loves him and me and not him? The guy who followed me on a business trip, watched me fuck a woman, took pictures of it and sent them to my old lady? The guy who tried to rape," he gritted out the word because he couldn't even bare to think about the memory of the night he got the call from her saying he broke in and tried raping her, "MY OLD LADY?" Jax realized his voice was getting louder and louder, "Naw I didn't kill him. I beat his fucking ass and watched a deputy escort his pathetic ass out of town. But I didn't kill him."

Jax stood to leave. He had to get away from this guy before he killed him too. He had to go home to see his wife. To know that she was safe. To know that this asshole wouldn't and couldn't hurt her, "But I guaran-fucking-tee that if he DOES show his face again, I WILL kill him."

Picking up the bottle of scotch, Jeff lifted it to his lips and took another swig, his eyes looking over the back of leather vest that Teller wore. The Reaper and scythe that struck fear into the hearts and minds of many, "One more thing, Mr. Teller."

Slowly Jax turned around, the look on his face and in his eyes that of a feral animal.

"If you are so sure my brother isn't among us anymore, you know, amongst the living, how do you know I'm not him?" Jeff challenged.

Looking at the patrons and companions around them, Jax was trying to see if anyone heard the clear acquisition. He knew that they hadn't, or if they had, they knew enough to keep their mouth shut. This was an establishment people came to enjoy themselves and sometimes do delicate transations.

He walked to within mere inches from Jeff's face, so close that Jeff had to draw his head back to look into his deadly blue eyes. "This is the last time I'm going to say this, so open your fucking ears," Jax's nose flared, his hands fisted at his sides, he leaned in just a few inches closer, "Stay away from my wife. Get out of my fucking town," he bit out through gritted teeth.

Jeff had no idea why this was so much fun. It was like poking a wild animal stuck in a cage with a stick. He wanted to keep prodding and prodding. Maybe it was the liquor. Maybe it was the fact that he had always gotten a kick out of doing what was not expected of him. Pissing people off was kind of his specialty, "Or what?" he sneered.

"I understand this shit is personal to you. Keep coming at my wife like you are," he chuckled wryly, running his hand down his mouth, goatee and beard, then pointed his index finger in Jeff's face, "You," Jax chuckled again maliciously. He had to get out of here. Now. Before he said or did something to this arrogant asshole that took him away from his family. "You'll find out how deeply personal it is to me…" he finished and walked out.
