'Thought'
In some kind of dining room, which was bigger than any normal place, most likely this room was from the inside of a large mansion, though that was besides the point, what was really important were the three certain individual that reside inside said dining room, there was a Butler looking character, who had long red hair that was tied up, plus some red cat ears on the top of his head, and wore a emotionless expression on his face and red eyes, this was Opera, the Servant to the Master of this home, who was in the middle of sitting at the head of the table and politely eating the dinner he was given, the Master and Owner of this Mansion was a very tall man, and he also seemed to command great power and authority, despite his gentle look, this older looking gentleman was Sullivan, a very high ranking Demon, and a loving care taker to the person next to him, who seemed to be a young child, maybe around 15, maybe slightly older, he had blue hair, eyes and clothing, which seemed to match the innocent and happy expression he wore, especially when eating unreasonable amount of food that was on the table, this was Iruma-Kun, and unlike the other two, who were powerful Demons, he was nothing more than a simple and non special Human, to which he was find with, and completely used to by now, though, even if he lived there long enough to feel comfortable, he couldn't help but still wonder about the place he was in, which was enough to make him look outside the window and stare at the moon, which was bright red and had a weird star like shape on it's surface, and after a moment of thinking, he swallowed his food and look at his two Caretaker
"Um, hey Sir-"
Before Iruma could even say anything, he was quickly interrupted by the Demon Lord before him
"Please, no need for formality, I'm your Grandpa after all."
Once Sullivan made it clear on how the Blue Boy wanted to see him as, he quickly nods in understanding and quickly correct himself
"Oh, ok, um, hey Grandpa-"
Iruma was once again immediately interrupted by the Master Devil, who somehow turned into some kind of egg like shape and started to jump around, dance and cry in pure joy
"OHHH~ YAY MY CUTE GRANDSON OFFICIALLY SEES ME AS HIS GRANDPAPPY, I WILL FOREVER TREASURE THIS MEMORY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!~"
Though before Sullivan could continue to express his insane amount of joy, he was quickly cut off by the Cat Butler, who effortlessly stopped and picked him up
"Please calm down Sir, you'll make a mess."
Was all Opera had to say, before placing the Demonic Grandpa back on his seat, who managed to calm down and look normal again, the Simple Human couldn't help but sigh from this, but wasn't upset at the slightest, he was actually happy to know he lives with such people
"Grandpa, do you think you could explain this World to me, and how it works?"
This question that Iruma asked actually caught the attention of both the Demon Lord and the Feline Servant
"Oh? Taking an interest in my home?"
Sullivan place his hands under his chin and leans forward with interest and curiosity on what his Grandson was thinking about
"Well, yeah, especially since I will be living here for now on, so I would like to know a lot about the place I'm gonna spend most of my life in, of course if you don't want to tell me I completely understand."
Iruma was genuinely wondering if the place he now calls home, but even if he wants to learn more, he was also fine if the Master Devil told him nothing about it, clearly this was the sign of someone who was a complete pushover, which made the Grandpa chuckle
"I don't mind telling you more about your new home~"
After saying that, Sullivan lightly taps on the table, which suddenly made all the food move away and created some space in front of the Blue Boy, to which he was able to see look and noticed a 'Portal' opening before him on that free space in the table
"Iruma, when you think of Hell, I bet you're imagining a place where all the Sinful Humans go to live an eternity of inferno punishment, am I right?"
As Sullivan started to explain, he casually used his ability to show a place of endless fire and Demons continuously torturing Humans, which immediately truamatized the Simple Human
"Y-YES!"
Iruma tried his best not to pass out in fear, the Emotionless Kitty helped by offering him a cup of tea to calm him down and relax
"Well, at the beginning of time, that used to be true, but like life on Earth, life in Hell started to change and evolve into something more, 'Civilized', to put it simply."
Sullivan than shows a place that was less full of flames and pain, and a place that looked like a City, a City filled with strange and unusual Demon like Sinner's, but definitely more peaceful and less agonizing compared to the other, much to the surprise of the Grandson
"S-So you don't punish the Sinners anymore?"
Iruma didn't feel to bad about the Sinners getting punished, he wasn't that pure to ignore the reality of really Evil Humans, but he was innocent enough to not want to see them endlessly tortured forever and ever, believing even the Badest People deserve at least a very small amount of kindness and mercy
"There's no point really, they punish each other and themselves just fine enough."
To prove the point that Sullivan made, the 'Portal Window' quickly show the Sinners continue to do many Sins on each other, ranging from foul language, violence, murder, and, 'Other', unspeakable action, of course it was still enough to make the Blue Boy want to vomit, but at least it was still better compared to the other option he saw, which wasn't good either way and wished he could forget and regain his innocent again
"Besides, with the other 8 Rings to deal with, we don't have time to waste our resources to just keep on punishing them."
What Sullivan said made the Simple Human snap out of his PTSD of what he saw earlier, and quickly look at him with new found surprise and interest
"8 Rings?..."
The Demon Lord nods and quickly change the location on the 'Window Portal', now showing Iruma 9 large Earth size rings, connected to each other like a chain, and orbit around the red Sun, that also had a devil star symbol on it
"There are 9 Rings in total that makes up all of Hell, the first Ring you saw was called the 'Greed Ring', it's where all the Sinners go."
Sullivan continue to explains something to his Grandson that completely blows his mind with new knowledge that no Human would have in their entire life time
"Why is it called the 'Greed Ring'?"
Iruma continue to look at the 'Portal Window' with wide eyes amazement
"Sinners usually commit Sins because of their wants, desires and what they think is theirs, of course there are other reasons for those people ending up in Hell, but those seem to be the majority."
What Sullivan said made sense to the Blue Boy, as he could imagine many scenarios of Sinners commiting Sins that usually come Greed
"Wait, are all the 'Rings Of Hell' named after Sins?"
Iruma couldn't help but realize that Greed was part of the Deadly Sins, to which the Master Devil once again nods again
"Well at least the first Seven Rings are."
Sullivan then started to show off the other Rings that existed in Hell
"There's the 'Wrath Ring', which is basically a Prison for Demons that refuse to adapt to our new way of living, we also use them to power our home, kind of like a battery, though with Magic instead of electricity."
Sullivan shows the 'Ring Of Wrath', which looked like a very large Prison that contained a unfathomable amount of Demons of all shape and kind
'I guess even a Demon can be punished in Hell.'
It was a really weird thought for Iruma to think of, both Sinners and Demons getting punished in Hell
"The 'Lust Ring', where most Demons are made and born from, though most are Imps and Hellhounds."
Though when Sullivan said this, the Simple Human couldn't help but noticed that he couldn't see anything through the 'Portal Window', much to his confusion
"Um, it's not showing anything?"
Iruma tilted his head, not understanding what was going on
"You'll get to see it when you're older."
Opera pets the head of the Demon Lord's Grandson, which made him even more confused
"Nexts is the 'Envy Ring', the closest thing to Earth in all of Hell."
Sullivan quickly tries to change to subject and show off the next realm of Hell, which worked as now the Blue Boy was now confused about something else
"What does that mean?"
Iruma clearly didn't understand when his Grandpa said that this Ring was more alike with Earth
"Well, despite being a place where most of our labor force and resources come from, you could easily mistake that place as somewhere you can find on Earth, it has Cities, Stores, Malls and even Farm lands."
What Sullivan described really did sound like Simple Human's old home, and when he actually saw it through the 'Window Portal', it actually made him want to visit that place
"But don't let that description fool you, it's still a hostile place, even though it's more civilized compared to others."
Sullivan, as if reading the thoughts of his Grandson, quickly warns him the danger of the place, to which does make him worried and hesitant, but he still thought about it and kept it in mind for later
"Then there's the 'Gluttony Ring', which is basically the Jungle of Hell, filled with nothing but wildlife and hellborn animals, it's also where we get most of our food."
When Sullivan showed the next Ring, which was like he said, nothing but wildlife and animals, not did the Blue Boy look at it with fascination, and maybe slight hunger, but the Butler Cat also looked at it with the same amount of interest
"Huh, seeing my old home is making me nostalgic, maybe I should visit that Ring again, I wonder if my family is still alive or has been eaten after I left?"
Hearing Opera talk about how he used to live at the 'Gluttony Ring' did caught the attention of the Simple Human, and did interest him enough to learn about it, though for now he'll ask him later, since he still wanted to learn more about the Rings at the moment
"Next is the 'Sloth Ring', to be honest, this whole realm is just a place where all Demons could relax and get away from stress, especially those about to enter their Wicked Phase."
What Sullivan said slightly surprised his Grandson, not expecting to hear a place that was specifically made for the Demons to relaxed at
"I guess that makes sense, even if you're a Demon, everyone does need a moment of rest after a long day."
Though at the end of the day, Iruma could understand that Demons should have a chance to relax and rest, even if he was different from them in all manner, that doesn't mean they are the exception of not having such things
"Maybe we can visit there someday, they have Amusement Park, Music Concert, a Beach and even just a whole area dedicated to just sleeping, I'm sure you'll have a super fun time there."
Sullivan was actually excited for the day where he and his cute Blue Boy visit that place and just spend the whole time having fun and playing together
"I-I never actually visited those kinds of places together, S-So I would like that very much."
Iruma shyly nods at the idea, and was kind of hopeful they would do that one day, especially when he saw how fun the place looked like through the 'Portal Window', which made his Grandpa very excited about the future
"I'll be sure to make some arrangements where you two can actually spend some time together without anything interrupting it."
Opera decided he would handle the planning, since it was his job as the Feline Servant, and because he didn't trust his Master Devil to actually take the Simple Human to a place he wasn't allowed to go to, like a certain place filled with 'Succubus'
"Thank you very much Opera, now then, onto the last of the Seven Deadly Sin, which is the 'Pride Ring'."
Sullivan, once saving the idea of some 'Grand Father and Son Time', decided to finish up the conversation and continue to talk about the last three rings, and the final Sin, which is called the 'Pride Ring', and from what his Grandson could see through the 'Portal Window', it definitely amazed him
"Wow, everything looks so, I don't really know how to describe it."
From what Iruma can see, he could definitely tell that this realm in particular looked a bit more, 'Professional', of course it still had that 'Hell Style', but it wasn't as crazy as the others, and even looked more civilized compared to the 'Envy Ring'
"This Ring in particular could be considered one of the most important places of the 9 Realms."
Hearing Sullivan say that the 'Pride Ring' was considered one of the most important place of all of Hell actually made the Blue Boy immediately worried to actually visited that place
"I-Important how?"
Iruma paid more attention this time, wanting to learn more about this place, so that he wouldn't mess up and get into any trouble
"Well, not only is this place in charge of keeping every other Ring in check and in order, but it's also the only place where Demons, like Succubus and I.M.P, are allowed to visit the Mortal Realm."
Out of everything that Sullivan said so far that surprised the Simple Human, this piece of information was enough to genuinely shock him down to the core
"A Place That Allows Me To Go Back To Earth!?"
Iruma never even considered the possibility of actually going back to Earth, thinking he would be trapped here forever
"Mhm, though that's if the Ruler of the Pride Ring, Stolas, allows you to, but we're good friends and partners, so I'm sure we could work something out~"
Sullivan wasn't oblivious enough to not notice his Grandson feeling home sick, it makes sense since he just recently arrived here at Hell, more or less against his own will, he actually started to think of more future plans, most them obviously involving making his Blue Boy happy
"The Ruler of the Pride Ring….. Wait, do the other Rings have their own Ruler?"
Iruma, after a moment of thinking about the possibility of going back to his old him, suddenly realized that the Pride Ring had a Ruler
"Mhm, they sure do, in fact, I'm actually the Ruler of this Ring we're in~"
This actually startled the Simple Human, not realizing how important Sullivan was
"O-Oh No! I-I Didn't Know That! S-Should I Bow Or Kneels, M-Maybe Clean Your Shoes-!?!?"
Before Iruma could continue to freak at the thought of him disrespecting a literal Demon Lord, the Emotionless Kitty suddenly shoved a large Demon Turkey Leg in his mouth, both shutting him up, and calming him down with food
"Maybe if you were a low ranked Demon with no manners, or any rude Humans, I probably would've demanded your respect, but you're my Grandson, so you shouldn't treat me any differently, in fact, you actually qualify to be my future Successor, so if anything, I should be treating you with respect and kindness, to which I already do because you're my lovely cute Grandson!~"
Sullivan suddenly pulled him in close and hugs and nuzzles his Grandson, which made him blush very brightly in embarrassment, the Cat Butler made sure to take pictures
"I-I'm your Successor?"
Iruma didn't know that he was some kind of Heir to some kind of Throne, he now felt immense pressure put on himself
"One of many in fact, actually this is a perfect segway to talk about the next Ring."
Instead of opening a 'Portal Window', Sullivan decided to just teleport himself and his Grandson high above the sky, spreading his wings to keep them up in the air and allows them to see everything underneath
"W-Whoa… This is my home?"
Any to all feeling of missing Earth was replaced with amazement and wonder, what Iruma was seeing at that very moment was something you would see in a fantasy world, floating island and mountains, castles, mansion and unique looking small homes, and instead of just seeing blood red setting and fire at the other Rings, this realm in particular almost had this blue ocean vibes, it was almost to peaceful, as if they weren't in Hell
"This is the Babyls Ring, the purpose of this place is to raise and nurture future Rulers, who would one day take over one of the other 8 Rings, of course that's not the only thing we teach here, but it is the main reason why this place exist, and why I make sure it stays like that."
Sullivan explains what the name of their home is, and what's its purpose, which made the Blue Boy realize how important this place was
"Wait a minute, you said only 8 Rings, what about the Ninth one? Doesn't that one also need a replacement Ruler for the Future?"
After a moment of taking in what Iruma was told, he couldn't help but suddenly noticed how his Grandpa didn't mention the Ninth Ring and it's possibility of getting a new Ruler, though when he asked that certain question, the Demon Lord couldn't help but laugh softly in response
"Anyone who even thinks about taking the throne of Lucifer is an utter fool."
Was all Sullivan had to say to that, quickly flying and landing near a floating piece of land, which was the size of 5 King size bed, the two just sat on the grassy ground and look at the night sky
"They are?"
Iruma didn't understand what the Master Devil meant by that
"In the Ninth Ring, the 'Demon King Palace', is the home of the most Important, Powerful, and Absolute Demon that ever was, or ever will be."
Sullivan spoke with a bit of seriousness, and slight fright, when he thought about the full might of THE Demon King Lucifer
"H-He is?"
Iruma couldn't help but shiver with fear and anxiety, really hoping to never meet someone that could even make his Grandpa worry
"Yes Iruma, Lucifer is the only Demon that commands and controls everything and everyone with his presence alone, no one would ever defy or challenge his might, even the most Wicked and Evil Devils know better than to say no to him."
When Sullivan describe how this Demon King ruled with a 'Iron Fist', it was definitely breathtaking, the Simple Human could never imagine how one person could control everything in Hell, it was definitely crazy to think about
"So no one has ever challenged to take his place?"
When Iruma asked this question, the Demon Lord couldn't help but pause and suddenly be in deep thoughts
"Derkila….."
Sullivan couldn't help but say that name in a soft tone, which made his Grandson tilt his head in confusion
"Who's Derkila?"
Though when Iruma tries to learn more, he was suddenly cut off by the Master Devil rubbing and petting his head
"Don't worry about it Grandson, just a passing thought."
Sullivan gave the Blue Boy a simple smile, to which he responded with a small pout, clearly wanted to learn more about this 'Derkila' person, but he was to much of a pushover to continue the conversation
"Now then, do you have any more questions, or do you finally understand the type of world you'll be living in for now on?"
Sullivan puts the Simple Human on his lap and held him close to his chest, which once again embarrassed him again but he was slowly starting getting use to receive so much affection from his Grandpa, plus it did feel nice to be loved in such a way, making him feel right at home at that moment
"I-I think so."
Iruma looks back up at the red pentagon star Moon, his mind was still filled with fear, doubt and worry that he'll be able to live a peaceful, comfortable and quiet life, but at this moment, he didn't really have a choice, and he could do nothing more but accept the position he was in, whether he likes it or not
'Oh well, I guess I'll just do what I did before, and just survive everything that is thrown at me…'
Iruma sighs softly in defeat, with nothing more to say, both him and Sullivan just sat there on the floating island, taking in the moment of silence and peace in the 8th Ring of Hell
"... Would you like some Dessert before bed?~"
"Yes Please!"
Do you think I should follow the Demon School story, with some Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss element mixed in, or should I just make up my own story?
