Elena was more than a little antsy. Klaus had been gone for almost two full days. They would be cutting this very close if he didn't get back soon and agree to wake up Kol and Finn. She couldn't do this without them. Well, she might be able to, but it might also kill her, and that was not what she wanted.

Elena went to the kitchen and pulled out one of the blood bags that Greta had picked up for her. She needed to start building her strength now. She would be drinking a few of them a day until the day of the ritual, and then she would be drinking much more. Of course, that was assuming Klaus pulled his head out of his ass in time.

Greta came down a few minutes later. "Good morning."

"Morning. No word, I'm assuming," Elena said.

"No. You know he's going to do it though," Greta said.

"Yeah, but we only have a few days. He needs to get over himself and wake them up soon," Elena said.

"Would it be the end of the world if this waited another month?" Greta asked.

"Yeah, it would. It is not going to take my dad a month to find me, and there's no way in hell he'd let me do it if he knew," Elena said.

"That's probably because the magic could still overwhelm you, even with the added power," Greta said.

"I have a better chance with Kol and Finn, plus all the blood I'll be consuming," Elena said as she opened the bag of blood in her hand and started drinking.

Just then, Klaus walked through the door. He kept it open to allow some men to pass through carrying coffins. "Into the living room, gentlemen," Klaus said.

Elena walked as six guys passed her, a pair each carrying a coffin. They were clearly compelled to not freak out at what they were carrying. "You're waking them all up."

"I may as well. They're going to want all the daggers, including the one in Rebekah," Klaus said. He knew his brothers well, and they knew him well. They knew if one of them pissed him off enough, he'd undagger Rebekah just to put the thing into one of them. "This had better work, witch.

Elena rolled her eyes at the veiled threat. "It will work.

They all went into the living room. Klaus compelled the humans to leave and forget what had just happened before opening the coffins and removing all three daggers from his sibling's hearts.

"How long will it take?" Elena wondered.

"No more than a couple of hours. One of you get me some blood. It will speed things along," Klaus said.

Greta quickly went into the kitchen and grabbed three blood bags from the fridge. She brought them back to the living room and gave them to Klaus.

Klaus fed each of his siblings just a tiny bit of blood. It would still take a little bit, but they would wake up soon.

All three of them sat around the living room and waited. It took just over an hour before Kol's eyes popped open and he sat up in the coffin.

Klaus got up and handed his brother a blood bag.

Kol practically snatched the thing from his brother and devoured the blood within seconds.

Finn and Rebekah shot up at almost the exact same time moments later. Klaus gave each of them blood and watched them feed.

Kol pulled himself out of the coffin before punching his brother in the face.

Klaus recovered quickly and sighed. "Alright, do you feel better now?"

Kol answered by punching him again.

Soon, Finn and Rebekah also joined in and began assaulting their brother.

"Are we going to stop this?" Greta asked Elena, who was sipping on another blood bag.

"In a minute. This quality entertainment. Besides, he kind of deserves it," Elena said as she watched the fight.

"How long has it been, Nik? Huh? How long since you stuck a dagger in my heart?" Rebekah asked angrily before pushing him so hard he cracked the wall behind him.

"It's been a lot less time for you than it has for us," Kol said as he advanced on his brother.

Klaus shoved his brother away and caused him to crash into one of the coffins.

Elena finally got up and whistled loudly to gain their attention. "Listen, I know there's a lot of anger here, but we do have business to attend to."

"Who the hell are you? You're not that Katerina bitch," Rebekah said. She'd met Katerina. This wasn't Katerina. She was part vampire, but there was something else in her. Also, Katerina wouldn't be stupid enough to try to tell them what to do.

"No, but I do agree she's a bitch," Elena said.

"This is my witch," Klaus told his siblings.

"Klaus seems to have a problem saying my name. I'm Elena, and I'm not his anything," Elena said.

"Oh, come now, love. You don't really think I'm going to let you go if you're successful, do you?" Klaus asked with a smirk. If she pulled this off, he was never letting her go. She would be too useful to him.

"Successful with what? What do you want, Nik?" Rebekah asked.

Kol, meanwhile, walked over to Elena and smiled. "Hello there, darling. You're an interesting one, aren't you?"

Elena was really, really hoping that Kol was admiring the magic that surrounded her and not hitting on her because the latter would just scar her for the rest of eternity.

"I can sense the sheer power coming off of you, but you're very new, aren't you? And there's something else there. You're a vampire. How?" Kol asked with a mesmerized look on his face.

Elena let out a sigh of relief. He was admiring the magic. That was definitely a relief. "Alright, here's the short version. I am both a witch and a vampire, and there's also some human there too. I was conceived by a human and a vampire with the use of a fertility spell."

"That's possible? I've never heard of such a thing," Finn said.

"No one has. As far as I know, I'm the only one of my kind," Elena told him.

"How long have you been practicing magic?" Kol asked curiously.

"Just a couple of months," she said.

"Bloody hell! You are new, and your power is already great. What does my brother have you doing for him?" Kol asked.

"I'm here to break his curse. That's why you and Finn are here too," Elena told him.

"How? You're not a doppelganger, which is what he'd need to break it?" Rebekah said.

"That's not the only way. There's another spell. One of my ancestors created it, but it requires someone from her bloodline to cast it, and also power from Klaus' bloodline," Elena said.

"That's lovely, darling, but we don't have access to our magic anymore. Unless… You want to harness our power, don't you?" Kol asked. Most witches didn't even know that was possible, and even fewer had the ability to do it. This girl might though. She was strong, and she hadn't reached even a quarter of her potential yet.

"I do, but only with your consent," Elena said.

"And why would we agree?" Finn asked.

"Yes, I'm not sure if you're aware, but we're not big fans of Nik's at the moment," Kol said. He had zero interest in helping his brother at the moment, and Nik would know that. Yet, he'd undaggered them anyway, which meant he either intended to force them, or he believed he had leverage.

"Because he's agreed to give you the daggers. You would never have to worry about him using that as a threat again," Elena said.

Kol looked reluctantly at his older brother, who reluctantly nodded that he would hand over the daggers. Kol then looked to Finn. Elena said she needed them both, so he would have to consent as well.

Finn looked very hesitant, but he eventually nodded his head. It would be worth it to have the dagger that kept him away from the world for nine hundred years.

"You have a deal, darling. We'll help you break the curse in exchange for the daggers," Kol said.

"You'll get them when the curse is lifted," Klaus said.

"No bloody way! As though we would trust you to keep your word. We get them now or we don't help you," Rebekah said.

Kol and Finn both nodded.

"What if I hold onto the daggers until it's over?" Elena asked.

"Why should we trust you? You work for him," Rebekah said.

"You should trust me because I'm the reason you're undaggered and why Klaus agreed to give you the daggers. I will keep my word. When the curse is broken, I'll give them to you," Elena promised.

Kol nodded after a minute. It was the best option they had. He knew Nik wasn't going to give them to them until he got what he wanted.

"Klaus?" Elena asked as she turned to him.

"If you double cross me…"

"Yeah, you'll kill me and my loved ones. Still not afraid of you. Give me the daggers," Elena said.

"Oh, I like you so much, darling," Kol said with a smile. He loved the way she spoke to his brother. She had no fear whatsoever, and he knew that drove Nik crazy.

Klaus huffed in frustration before removing the daggers from his coat pocket and handing them to her. It really annoyed him that she had no fear of him at all. Sure, she was powerful, but he was immortal and much stronger than her. She should fear him. Even most witches were smart enough to have some fear.

Elena took them. "We have a deal, right?"

Both Kol and Fin nodded. "Can I see the spell you're going to use?" Kol asked.

"Yeah," Elena said before picking up a piece of paper from the coffee table. She'd written it down for Klaus when he asked to see it.

Kol took the spell from her. He looked it over and then looked back at Elena. "This is the incantation you're going to use?"

"Yeah. I got it from my family's grimoire," Elena told him.

"I see," Kol said with a cryptic look on his face.

"What's the problem? Will it not work?" Klaus asked.

"No, it should work. Well, if we're going to do this, Finn and I need to feed properly," Kol said.

"There's a bunch of blood in the fridge. Just don't take too much. I'm going to need a lot of it to prepare," Elena said.

"Actually, I prefer to do it the old-fashioned way," Kol said.

"I'll go with you," Klaus said.

"Not necessary, brother. I think we remember how it works. No matter how much the world has changed, feeding has certainly stayed the same.

"Try not to kill anyone, if for no other reason than to not draw attention," Elena said.

"Anything for you, darling," Kol said with a smile before walking out of the room. Finn and Rebekah went with him. Kol led the way outside. Once they were outside, he wrapped an arm around each of his siblings and sped away with vampire speed. He didn't stop until they were in a wooded area, far away from the house.

"What the bloody hell, Kol?" Rebekah asked in exasperation.

"We're not doing this," Kol said in a firm tone. His willingness to do this ended when he saw that spell and realized exactly what it meant.

"What are you talking about? You were the first to agree. We get the daggers if we do it," Finn said.

"It's not worth it. The spell could kill Elena, even with our power," Kol said. She stood a better chance with their help, but the magic could still overwhelm her. She didn't have enough experience.

"Who cares? That's her problem, not ours," Rebekah said.

"It's very much our problem, Rebekah. I've seen that spell before," Kol told them.

"You have? Where?" Finn asked.

"Mother's grimoire," he said.

"What? Why would it be in Mother's grimoire? The witch said the spell belonged to her ancestor. Are you saying she lied?" Rebekah asked.

"No, she didn't lie, but she's definitely trying to hide something very essential. Most of what she said about that spell is correct. It can only be used by a witch of the same bloodline as its creator, and it's creator is our mother," Kol said.

"What are you saying, Kol?" Finn asked. He'd mostly figured it out, but he wanted confirmation on his brother's theory.

"There is only one way that Elena would be able to perform this spell. Hell, there's only one way she'd have been able to access it. Elena is a Mikaelson."
