Reviews:

Windwood: Will there be a battle in the future to decide the biggest glutton? between saber and okita alter XD

Maybe~ That is definitely a possible interaction once the main Fate cast debuts in the future chapters lol

rizuplayz: Great Chapter can't wait for the next one

Thank you! I hope you enjoy this one!

Nova Sudana: To much sugar! Thanks for the chapter author!

Thank you! I do my best to deliver :)

TheSlySage: cute chap

I'm glad you think so!

Reaper200851: To quote McDonalds "I'm lovin' it!". Also, I hope this Lancer is the kind that either is ridiculously hard to kill or the one that simply doesn't have things trying to kill him. Because poor Lancer, so many deaths, so horrible luck, and yet, he's one of the very best. The hero known for being almost impossible to kill, and yet by the whims of Fate, always dies in a most horrible way.

I'm very happy you've been loving this! Ah yes, Carnival Phantasm Lancer always get bullied XD. I won't lie that I have thought of something similar for comedic effect, but I think Lancer has already suffered enough in the other series. He deserves a break too!

ShuKirisaki: Okita Alter all the way!

Yeeees! (Also, normal Okita! v)

Fertas: Charming story

Thank you!

"Uh, Lancer?"

"What is it, John?"

"Can you... you know, stop looking at those two for a second and serve the other customers?"

"The order I gave you earlier was the last one. Everyone is busy eating and chatting." The spearman pointed at the rest of their patrons without removing his gaze from the silver-haired duo. "No one's asking for the bill yet. Besides, this is far more important!"

"B-But..."

John, Cu Chulainn's chef co-worker, groaned as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. He wanted to retort but couldn't deny that Cu's services weren't needed after the initial lunch rush died down. Though, the Irish spearman already knew things would turn out this way since it was a common occurrence ever since he started working in the café.

"Relax~! I'm still attentive as ever. I just need to see if things will work out for my buddy over there."

"I kinda had a feeling you knew him by how you were acting earlier. He a friend of yours?"

"Eh, you could say that."

"What...?"

If Archer were to hear Cu say yes, the blue-haired man wouldn't doubt that arrows would be flying toward him... Not like they would actually hit him.

As he watched the pair eat their meal, his lips stretched into a feral grin when the silver-haired swordswoman's gaze flickered between her food and the bowman.

Oho, is she perhaps self-conscious now?

Things might get interesting if he were to intervene, Cu thought.

"Mm..." Archer hummed to himself as he let the flavors of the omurice rain down on his tongue.

His brows furrowed, and his eyes closed in concentration. The acidity of the tomato ketchup paired well with the savory chicken fried rice. The meat was evenly diced to perfect chewable sizes. Archer could taste the veggies soaked in the chicken thigh. Mushroom and onions, hmm?

The faker savored the flavor of each ingredient that was used. As a chef himself and someone with enhanced senses, it was easy for him to detect what was used to make the omurice, even the spices! The omelet itself was quite fluffy that it surprised him. He understood now why this café had so many positive reviews.

With how pleasant the ambiance and tasty the food is, this café deserved the people's praise.

And as much as EMIYA hated to admit it, Lancer's service as a waiter was definitely top-tier. A friendly and charismatic guy like him could easily convert first-time customers to regulars.

Bah, begrudgingly praising the bastard was kind of unpleasant...

Swallowing his meal, Arthur bit his spoon in thought.

"It's delicious, as expected from an experienced chef." Archer bobbed his head in approval before muttering, "If it were me, though, I'd probably..."

As EMIYA began muttering how he would change up the dish, he felt a certain gaze occasionally flicker in his direction.

"Something wrong, Okita?" He lifted his eyes away from the food to meet his partner's steel-grey eyes as she flinched.

"A-Ah. N-Nothing, there's absolutely nothing wrong, Senpai!"

Doubt. It might not be obvious to others, but EMIYA could hear the change in the tone of her voice. Why did she sound so flustered? She has been acting odd ever since their food arrived. Okita barely ate her meal too...

"The potato gratin ain't your type?" He asked with a raised brow.

"N-No. Nothing like that." The Alter shook her head before forcing herself to put on her stoic mask.

EMIYA frowned, unconvinced, as he released a sigh. Swiftly, he scooped a spoonful of potato gratin, surprising the silver-haired woman. Parting his lips, he shoved the potato dish into his mouth.

"Ah..."

Okita could only stare in dumbfounded confusion as her Senpai ate the gratin.

"The cheese and the herbs are delicious, but I think the salt needs to be toned down a bit. The cheese is plenty salty already." Archer evaluated, taking a sip of his coffee to cleanse his palette. "It's still delicious, don't you think so?"

The silver-haired bowman questioned, cocking his head slightly as his lips curled upward. Okita stared at her senior for a good minute before her lips twitched slightly. A faint smile bloomed on her face as she took a bite of her meal.

"Mm... As expected from Senpai, you could tell a lot about a dish just from a single bite." She took another bite, contentment painting over her stoic visage.

EMIYA's own smile soon became apparent. Her troubles seemed to have vanished.

"If you need an ear, I can always lend you one, Okita." He lifted his cup once more, his gaze lingering on the black liquid before locking eyes with his junior. "You know I don't mind listening to your troubles."

Okita dipped her head down, soon nodding. "Yes... I know, Senpai."

If EMIYA would look at Okita's face now, he would have been able to see her gentle smile. Just as Okita was about to forget her embarrassing thoughts about Archer, the bowman had put a spoonful of omurice in front of her mouth.

One blink.

Two blinks.

...Three blinks.

"Senpai...?"

"I thought you wanted to have a taste since you kept looking at me earlier." He flashed a teasing grin as red emerged from her cheeks.

"T-That's...!"

"No need to be shy. I actually quite like their omurice." If she was looking for a stamp of approval for the dish, Archer would gladly give it. He preferred it over the gratin.

Hesitancy was evident in her face as her blush deepened in shade. Slowly, she leaned forward, opening her mouth as the bowman fed her his omurice. Pulling out his spoon from her mouth, EMIYA nonchalantly ate another spoonful of his meal.

As Okita chewed the fried rice and egg, the woman couldn't help her flushed cheeks from getting redder. She wouldn't be surprised if someone were to point out she was starting to resemble a tomato. But why was she so flustered; it was so unlike her.

Well... a certain thought now occupied her mind.

'T-That was kind of like an indirect kiss, right?'

Her mind forcibly made her recall the term after being spoon-fed by EMIYA. She remembered how she discovered it. It was back when she bought several books to help her understand the current state of this world. Okita happened to stumble onto the manga section while looking for gardening books. There, curiosity had gotten the better of her, making her skim through a few...

Shoujo mangas...

The Alter had heard about them before, but she never had the time to actually read any. But now, with her being on vacation, her interest was at its peak.

It was safe to say that reading them helped sate her curiosity in certain... areas.

"Is it good?" Archer asked curiously.

"Mhm..."

"Want another bite?"

"Mm..." She shook her head, averting her gaze from the bowman. "Well, if Senpai was the one to cook the omurice, I'd gladly eat the entire plate."

The spoon fell off Archer's grasp as his eyes shot wide open, stunned. He was completely caught off guard by the teasing grin stitched across Okita's visage that it took a few seconds for him to recover. Why did that suddenly make him embarrassed?

"Oi, that's a little rude to the chef." He rubbed his forehead, feigning exasperation as he picked up his spoon.

"I was only joking. My apologies," yet her teasing grin hadn't faded. "I wasn't joking about wanting to eat your omurice, though."

"You—"

"Hey, what the hell's up with this sugary atmosphere you two are having?"

"Whoa!"

Before Archer could utter a snarky comeback, Cu, who seemingly came out of nowhere, interrupted the two with a shit-eating smirk on his punchable face.

"Come on, master chef. If you're going to criticize our food, at least don't do it in front of your girl."

"I was just giving my honest— wait, stop assuming things! Our relationship isn't like that!" EMIYA retorted with a scowl. "

"Uh-huh. Never heard of a senpai-kouhai relationship that involves feeding each other." Lancer got up on his face, smirking even wider.

The bowman pushed the nuisance's face away from him, irritated but held his tongue with a slight flush on his countenance. Thankfully, Okita chimed in.

"That's just how caring Senpai is. I wanted to try his omurice, but I didn't want to trouble him. He fed me because he noticed." Okita said with a neutral tone. If she didn't have pink on her face, she would have actually been convincing.

But Cu Chulainn easily crushed that excuse as he directed his smirk at the woman. "That right? But he could have just let you take a spoonful on your own instead of feeding you."

"Urk..."

Okita hung her head in defeat as the Child of Light cackled, reveling triumphantly.

"Don't you have other customers to attend to?" EMIYA growled as his palm met his face.

"Ay, fine, fine." Cu waved him off dismissively. "Let me just put this here!"

With a cheeky grin, the blue-haired spearman placed down a large parfait decorated with fresh fruits, cream, and two chocolate Pocky sticking out of vanilla ice cream. Two spoons were buried in the cutesy dessert as the Counter Guardian duo stared at the dessert with completely different feelings.

One was in confusion.

The other was in awe.

"Lancer... what is this?"

"And you say my eyes aren't working. It's a parfait, you idiot."

"I can see that. I meant, why is it here?" He narrowed his steel-grey hues at the spearman. "But most importantly, why did you bring a parfait meant for couples!?"

"It's my treat! Stop complaining and dig in already." Lancer patted Archer on the back before pointing at Okita. "Your girl looked like she can't wait any longer."

How many times is this little... Calm down, Archer. It isn't worth it. His eyes turned to his companion staring at the parfait with clear interest and desire. Their eyes then met each other. Steel-grey eyes grew in size to appear pleading as Archer staggered back at the display.

What the hell? No way EMIYA could have expected this!

Objectively speaking, Okita was now making an adorable expression that reminded him of a puppy wanting treats. Her face was practically screaming, "I want to eat it, Senpai," and who was he to refuse her innocent desire? The Alter rarely showed what she wanted at times. Seeing such a look on her face... EMIYA couldn't help but nod.

His female counterpart perked up as she took a bite of the parfait. Happiness oozed from her face as she hummed in approval. Archer made a mental note to search for different parfait recipes for later.

Smirking as if he had accomplished something great, Lancer promptly left the table before the air got sugary again.

"This is really good. I've never tasted a sweet like this before..." Okita muttered under her breath, happily taking another spoonful of ice cream and strawberries.

EMIYA simply watched his companion eat the dessert with an amused glint in his orbs.

"Hmm? You're not going to eat some, Senpai?" She tilted her head.

"I'm not really into sweets. You can have it. Besides, this omurice is enough for me."

"I don't know how to feel about eating this all by myself when Lancer gave this to us..." Her lips curled into a frown. It would have been more accurate to say it was a combination of a frown and pout. Archer snorted.

"Really, it's fine."

"That won't do, Senpai." Oh, now she was puffing a cheek. Okita then scooped a bit of ice cream, cream, and a piece of blueberry before presenting it to the bowman. "Please take at least one bite for the sake of my conscience."

Sweatdropping, Archer heaved a sigh as he smiled in resignation.

"Fine..."

"Here you go."

Okita gently shoved the parfait into Archer's mouth before happily going for another bite herself. The silver-haired bowman bit into the blueberry, its juices mingling the ice cream as the flavors danced on his tongue. It wasn't overly sweet, but...

The parfait somehow tasted sweeter than EMIYA expected.

I've been in a very rom-com mood so I consumed a lot lol. Anyways, anyone want a Musashi x Muramasa one shot? Hopefully for Valentine's.
