Chapter eight
Last Time
"There you are, you no good Brat!" the voice stated, ash was then forcefully turned around and was now face to face with the orange-haired girl from the river, this time though her entire face was bright red in anger.
"you are in so much troubleee!" she screeches.
Now
The orange-haired teen looked as if she was foaming from the mouth, Ash, who had seen this kind of anger before quickly cooled his features and his racing heart, locking his emotions down.
"Excuse me but could you let go of my shoulders," Ash states calmly, in a tone that was as cold as a pokemon's Ice beam, though the coldness of his voice didn't seem to deter the girl, who started to aggressively shake him, causing ash to hit his head on the edge of the computer booth.
"I don't care what you want, you are going to pay me back for destroying my bike, and taking the pokemon i caught while i was fishing" the girl screeched at him, to which she responded by kicking her off him.
"Excuse you, but who do you think you are manhandling me like that, I just got out of a Spearow attack, and you think it's alright to harass me over a bike! and that pokemon isn't even a water type, the only reason it was in the water was that I was trying to get us both away from a murder of Spearows!" Ash shouted back, the interaction was about to turn physical when suddenly two Chanseys got in between the two of them, and Nurse Joy came over with a stern look on her face.
"Excuse the two of you, but some of the trainers here are trying to relax and i am trying to heal this young man's pokemon, I don't need you two hurting yourselves.'' The nurse stated calmly, Ash quickly calmed himself, which was easily done thanks to all the meditation he has been doing these past couple of years, the same couldn't be said for the orange-haired girl who seemed ready to tear into both of them.
"but he stole a pokemon I was in the middle of catching" she once again screeched, and before the nurse could scold the girl, and confront ash about this, he had already beaten her to the punch.
"Look lady I don't know who you are but that pokemon you said was yours to catch is my Starter Pokemon, if you want proof check my Pokedex, and you'll see that she's my registered starter pokemon. While I do apologize for your bike, did you forget I told you that a flock of Murderous Spearows were attacking me and my pokemon, maybe they destroyed your bike while I was trying to get my pokemon to safety?! Maybe next time you start screeching at someone like some Banshee, you try and get all the damn facts straight first." once again, Ash stated his piece very coldly, he hated loud and obnoxious people, especially hated those that felt entitled to things, or in this case, friends/beings he is close with. he knows that they may have other friends, and he's fine with that, but if a random person comes out of nowhere and demands that they are their friends only, or that they belong to them only, then he has a problem.
A shiver ran down Nurse Joy's back at the tone of voice the young trainer used, she didn't expect to feel such...hatred and coldness from someone so young. While the orange-haired girl seemed like she could have cared less and looked ready to attempt to pummel Ash, as she was grabbing something from behind her, she was then electrocuted as Raizan jumped onto ashes shoulder, his midbody was covered in a bit of bandage. Raizan started growling at the girl, ready to launch another attack but was quickly calmed down by Ash.
"It's okay Raizan, I think she finally gets the point," Ash states, gently rubbing his friends, who let out one last growl at the girl and began to climb up his friend's arm, flinching as he got halfway up his arm. Seeing this, Ash picked his friend up and brought him back towards Nurse Joy and asked about how his pokemon were. After a few moments of no response, he asked her again, this time a bit louder which seemed to finally get a reaction from the nurse.
"Ahhh, sorry, your pokemon are doing alright, they just need a night of rest and they will be fully healed. Though I have to say that one of them was injured a lot more than the rest, do you think you could explain how? I heard that you and your pokemon got attacked by a flock of Spearow, would you mind telling me a bit more about what happened?" She states, Ash just nods and places Raizan on the counter so that Nurse Joy can continue to heal him and explains what he experienced. Relaying that out of nowhere the flock of Spearows just started attacking them. After finishing his explanation, he asked if there were any vacant rooms he could stay in for the night. The nurse pulled out a keycard next to her computer and handed it to Him.
"Here you go, you're in room 18 which is right down the hall on your left, inside the room there is an intercom, which will alert you when your pokemon have been fully healed or if there has been a phone call made to you." She explains and points down the left hallway, where his room was. After quickly thanking the nurse he quickly headed to the room, picking up the pace so that he could protect his ears from the angered screeches of the orangette. Once inside the room he quickly took off his bag and flopped down onto the bed, ready to take a short nap.
Outside-Viridian city
posted on one of the many buildings was a wanted poster showing a lady with long red hair, a man with blue hair, and a Meowth in front of the two of them. Both the man and girl were wearing long-sleeved shirts that had a big red 'R' on them. Just below the picture of the three individuals, WANTED was plastered. someone in the shadows immediately tore it off the wall and two chuckles could be heard.
"Well, would you look at that, we're famous around these parts." a feminine voice stated, while another person let out a lil whine.
"why do they keep using my bad side for these wanted posters," this time a masculine voice spoke up before the two of them yelped as both of them got whacked on the back of their head.
"would you both give it a rest, da boss sent us here to collect as many of the pokemon stored in the center over there, we don't want to screw up another mission, or do you want to become the new testing dummy for recruits again," this time a nasally voice stated. At the mention of their previous the three of them shivered, before turning their heads to look at the pokemon center, just as a bit of the moonlight revealed the three of them briefly. if anyone was out they would instantly recognize them, as they were the three people on the wanted poster.
Pokemon center-Room
Ash hadn't been asleep for very long, as he quickly shot out of bed and covered his ears as a piercing alarm shot through the room.
"AHHH, god fucking damnit" He shouts out before using his aura to numb out the ringing in his ears as well as to silence the loud sirens. grabbing his bag he left the room dashing to the front of the pokemon center, just in time for the skylight to get shattered and three figures jumped through the hole, one of them releasing a Koffing shrouding the figure's landing.
"prepare for trouble,"
"And make it double"
"to protect the world from devastation"
"To unit all people within our nation,"
Ash proceeded to groan loudly,
'great, we've got clowns attacking us' he muttered to himself mentally, dronning their little musical number till they announced themselves as team rocket. though he was a bit shocked that they had a Meowth that could speak the human language. shaking his head he moved towards nurse Joy, quickly dodging an Ekans swift attempt to bite him. He rolled himself till he was in front of nurse Joy's desk.
"What the heck do you clowns want, the theater is a few towns over so you are in the wrong place to put on a show," Ash states, causing the red-haired rocket, Jesse to scoff at him.
"Like a theater could withstand our brilliance and beauty, we're here to take all the injured pokemon off your hands, aren't we so generous~" Jesse states, causing Ash to scoff right back at her. causing the male Rocket, James to look at him.
"Well you're out of luck, this center is for weak and injured pokemon, there aren't any pokemon of interest to crooks like you," Nurse Joy states, popping out from behind her desk. she was hiding underneath it just as the skylight shattered, she also hit the silent alarm to alert officer Jenny that the rocket members were there. James scoffs upon hearing this.
"Obviously there are gems hidden underneath all those weaklings, even if there aren't they will still make a great addition to the team rocket organization." he states, causing Ash to growl lowly, kind of startling Meowth, as to him the growl sounded like the pokespeech for "Asshole".
"Enough chatter, Ekans take knock that boy out," Jesse states tossing out a Pokeball and releasing the snake pokemon.
"You to Koffing '' James states, as both pokemon quickly launched themselves at Ash, intending on knocking out the weak-looking trainer, that was until he jumped over them. though he wasn't able to dodge when Koffing turned around and released a vicious plum of black smoke right in front of Ash's face, causing the young trainer to cover his mouth before he passed out from the smoke. Once he was on the ground he felt a hand grab his arm and drag him out of the smoke and bring him near the far side of the center. Once he was out of the smoke he saw that it was nurse joy that grabbed him.
"Come on, we have to move," she states and starts running to the back of the center, Ash following her. once there they immediately entered a room, and Joy slammed her hand on a button that brought down a gutter giving both of them a wall. After a few seconds, the entire was shut off, before suddenly coming back on.
"looks like they attempted to cut out the power, at least they didn't find the backup generators." Nurse Joy states before rushing towards a computer and turning it on, which seems to start up the conveyor belt.
"This is Nurse Joy from the viridian pokemon center, we are under attack, and we need to transfer all pokeballs to any available center, is anyone online." She asks, warming up the transporter. The transporter had a red light on it for a few seconds before turning green.
"This is the pewter city pokemon center, We have started up the receiver on our end and are now ready to receive the pokeballs," a voice says on the computer, soon the pokeballs on the conveyor belt start disappearing one by one. noticing this, Ash calls out to Nurse Joy.
"Wait, what about my Friends!" he asks, causing the nurse to turn to him. It took her a few seconds to realize that he was talking about his pokemon.
"They are still here, I haven't brought them to this part of the center yet though, they should still be in the recovery room a few doors down." she quickly explains and then tells him where the recovery room was, just before a loud banging from the gutter doors began.
"Found you, now let us in before we decide that it isn't worth it to play nice," James' voice states, as another loud bang was heard from the door. a rather sizable dent was produced. Ash, noticing the dent, turned back towards Joy.
"imma go get my friends, i'll get back as soon as possible to help," he states before dashing towards the other door, barely hearing Nurse Joys' confirmation. Once he was out of nurse Joy's sight and noticed that the security cameras were still down, he began focusing on his aura and performed multiple quick attacks to reach the recovery room. Just in time as he saw that the orangette was trying, and failing to take S. Snivy.
"Aw come on, they are my pokemon!'' She screeches at Jin, Raizan, Loki, and Kaiserin, as they were growling and protecting from the orangette as she tried to take them while all the commotion was going on. Once Ash noticed her intentions he let out a low growl, not a loud one but loud enough for the orangette to realize she had been caught.
"What the hell do you think you're doing, how many times do I-We don't have time for this, guys I need your help," he states talking to his friends, who immediately head over to him, S. Snivey took a bit of time to get to him, but it looks like they were trusting him a bit more now.
"Team rocket is attacking the center, we need to go help Nurse Joy protect the pokeballs. and you!" he states and then turns his attention toward the Orangette.
"You are going to come with us and help, I don't like the idea of asking you of all people for help, or even receiving it but right now we need as much help as possible," he states, the orangette growls at his tone but nods in agreement.
"fine but when this is all over I'm taking MY pokemon," she states running out of the room and towards the storage room. Ash growled again, clenching his hand into a fist before he and his team started running back to the storage room. Luckily they all made it just in time as the entire gutter door finally blew off of the wall.
"Alright, that's it no more mister/Misses nice rocket Koffing/Ekans, Meowth take them out," the two Rockets shouted as their pokemon started to charge towards the Nurse.
"Oh no you don't, Loki use shadow ball, and Jin use aura sphere," Ash shouts out, and both pokemon nod and release their attacks. Jin's attack hits Meowth causing the cat pokemon to go flying a few feet away, while Loki's attack hits Koffing, causing the gas pokemon to go flying away as well.
"Let's go," The orangette shouts, tossing twenty pokeballs into the air, about five of them released a pokemon, causing ash to turn to her.
"What the hell are you doing!" he shouts at her, causing her to screech back.
"my pokemon can only fight in the water so they are of no use in a land battle, so it was a better idea to grab many from here and use them instead," she states, now while that might have been true, the only pokemon to come out of the pokeballs were 2 Pidgeys and three Ratatta's, all with bandages showing they were still injured.
"Why did you get them from the injured pokemon instead of the healed pokemon who would have a better chance in a fight," Ash complained. "You'll just get them more hurt."
"I know what I'm doing." She yelled.
"Besides, it's not like it matters, we are in a pokemon center if they get hurt more they can be healed and get back to fighting."
The pokemon did not like that and decided to attack her instead, the Rattata biting her legs to trip her, while the Pidgey hit her in the head with their wings.
"Ahh!" She yelled. "Get them off."
Ash just groaned while Team Rocket laughed, before continuing to command his friends, having Kaisering head towards Nurse Joy to protect her from any incoming attacks.
"Loki, Hit Koffing with another Shadow ball, Jin uses Force palm on Meowth, Raiza uses thundershock on Ekans." He states, causing all of his friends to nod to him and start attacking. Loki starts moving left and right, creating illusions of himself all around Koffing, causing the gas pokemon to get confused.
"What are you waiting for, attack that fox," James shouts, causing Koffing to fly towards one of the many Loki's in an attempt to hit the real one. It isn't so Koffing attacks that he goes through the pokemon, and then gets blasted from behind by Loki's Shadow ball. This causes the gas pokemon to go flying into James, K.O'd, and knocking James to the ground. Jin, on the other hand, started to run towards Meowth, quickly dodging some hastily done swipes from the cat's elongated claws before landing a solid palm strike onto the cat's chest.
"Gahhh,'' Meowth grunts, as he gets blown across the room once again. The battle seemed very one-sided for the two pokemon, while Raiza was having a little difficulty with Ekans, as every time he would launch a bolt of electricity at the snake pokemon, said pokemon would immediately dodge the other way as soon as the attack would hit. Seeing this, Ash decided to change up the tactics.
"Raiza, get as close as you can to Ekans and launch a thunderbolt point-blank!" He shouts out to his friend, who quickly nods and starts using agility to increase his speed, vanishing for a few seconds before reappearing right in front of Ekans shocking (not yet) the snake pokemon. During the snake's shock, Raiza launched a thunderbolt right in front of it, causing it to hiss out loudly in pain as it went flying toward Jesse and knocked her to the ground next to James. With the bad guys down on the floor, Ash's team (bar Kaiserin who was still protecting Nurse Joy) went back to him.
"Great job guys," Ash states first, before glaring at the downed rockets, who were trying to get up. Seeing this Ash quickly retaliated.
"Raiza use ThunderBolt, Jin use Aura Sphere, and Loki Use Shadow ball on them!" He states pointing to the downed rockets, each of his pokemon nods.
"Piiiikkkkkaaaaa/zoooooooooo/riiiiiiiiiii," they each shout as they each charge up their attacks, before letting out a loud shout.
"CHUUUUU/RUUUUA/LUUUUU," the three of them shout unleashing their charged attacks at the Rockets, all three attacks combine and immediately explode in front of them, shooting team rocket, along with their pokemon (Ekans, Koffing, and Meowth) through the ceiling and into the night sky.
"Team Rockets blasting off" the two rockets and Meowth shout as they are launched into the night sky. Once they were gone, Ash let out a sigh of relief and went down to his friends and quickly rubbed each of their heads.
"Great job you guys, you did great for your first trainer battle, though i think that you guys would've preferred your first battle was at the Gym in Pewter city," Ash states, complimenting his friends on their battle, causing them to cheer out in agreement. Once he made sure all his friends were okay he quickly went over to Nurse Joy, stepping over Misty's body.
"You okay?" Ash asks the nurse, who immediately engulfs the boy in a tight hug. The sudden physical contact caused him to flinch, but the Nurse didn't seem to notice.
"Yes I am, thank you so much for your help, thanks to you all of the pokeballs were transferred to the pewter city Pokecenter safely," the Nurse shouts in glee, hugging the boy who had protected her and all the pokemon from the thieves. After a few more seconds she let him go, causing Ash to let out a little sigh of relief, just as Officer Jenny arrived on the scene. And from the scene that was in front of her, all she could say was.
"What the hell happened here," she states, wide-eyed as in front of her the trainer she helped earlier was just hugged by the Nurse, there was a giant hole in the roof of the Pokecenters storage room, and there was an orangette curled up with scratches and bite marks all over.
Timeskip - Morning
Pokecenter - Outside
That was one of the longest nights Ash had had in a long time, after having to give his statement to the officer and having to repeat said statement a few times to the officers till they believed him. It would've been easier to explain if the orangette, which he now learned was called Misty, stayed unconscious. As once she awoke from whatever state she was locked in she immediately screeched at the officers that Ash had stolen one of her pokemon. Thankfully, Nurse Joy was able to help prove that S. Snivy was his pokemon. This quickly shut the girl up, especially when the officers asked him if he wanted to press charges against her for attempted pokemon theft. He should've said yes, but at the time he was wrecked after the long day he had and just wanted to sleep.
Once the officers let Ash go, he went to his rented room along with all of his pokemon and quickly collapsed onto his bed, though not before locking his door once all of his friends were inside the room with him. He quickly fell asleep, Raiza and Loki joined Ash up on the bed, while Jin, S. Snivy, and Kaiserin took the ground, which Ash had prepared a cushioned area for them earlier that evening.
After their short rest, Ash offered his friends to put them into their pokeballs if they wanted to rest some more (getting straight-up denials from Loki and Raiza), and once he got their approval he quickly put both Kaiserin, Jin, and S. Snivy into their respective pokeballs. He then shrunk each Pokeball and attached them to his belt before putting on his jacket and his bag, before leaving his room. Both Loki and Raiza went to sit on his shoulders, and the three of them left the center, Ash returning his key and saying goodbye to the nurse as he exited the pokecenter, hoping that today will be a little calmer.
"WAIT UP!'' Those hopes were crushed when he heard the familiar screeching and immediately booked it to the viridian forest before Misty could screech at him for nothing again.
"GET BACK HERE YOU OWE ME A NEW BIKE!" she screeches, running after them like a crazed woman…..well, a crazed woman of her standards.
