Unfinished

Chapter 18

Sawyer was all curly blond hair long legs and brown eyes.

She was smart. Curious. And couldn't be left alone for long. She kept you on you're toes.

She was her dad's whole world. And beloved by her aunt Brooke who spoiled her endlessly.

Tree hill grocery store

Brooke had went from the chips aisle to the dessert aisle. Next drinks. And she somehow ended up in the nails and hair aisle.

She packed her cart.

"What are you so happy about?" A voice asked.

Brooke's smiled dimmed. "Nothing that concerns you." She replied.

"I assume by now that you've moved on from Julian?" Victoria questioned.

"I'm leaving now." Brooke replied. Refusing to engage with her mother.

...

With Lucas working late at the office. Brooke volunteered to pick up Sawyer from school. She joined the car pool line of other parents.

She smiled once she saw Sawyer.

Sawyer rushed over and hugged her.

"My favorite girl." Brooke said.

"You're dad already knows this. So i should let you know."

"It's going to be just us at my house this weekend."

"The guest room is all yours. You're dad even packed a suitcase with everything you'll need." Brooke explained.

"I'm so happy. I love spending time with you aunt Brooke." Sawyer replied.

"I love spending time with you too." Brooke replied.

"Let's go. Get you settled at my house. We're order take out. Watch a movie." Brooke said.

"Aunt Brooke. Where does my first name Sawyer come from?"

"I know Brooke is you're name and Scott is my dad's last name." She questioned.

...

Peyton clutched the pictures she had received with her daughter and Brooke. She felt anger and rage build up.

"I'm her mother!" Peyton exclaimed.

...

Lucas found himself loving and looking forward any time he spent with Brooke. But the two hadn't fully discussed or got into what it was ahead for them yet.

The feelings were there yet actually deciding to be a couple wasn't to be taken lightly.

"Karen she's trying to take my family away from me. You're the only one who understands." Peyton said. Clutching her cellphone. The emotion thick in her voice.
