"Who are you!"
Chara was sitting face to face with Frisk after accidentally bumping into them.
What's even weirder is that Frisk was also standing next to her.
"How are there two me's," Frisk asked.
"I don't know," Chara replied, "Do we even know this is you?"
Chara then walked up, and looked at them, only for them to fall on their back.
"Not much of a talker, huh," Chara said, "Let's get her… him… them… Ok, whatever we will call them, let's get them to Aster."
"She wouldn't know much about doppelgangers," Frisk replied.
"Yeah, but she would at least keep them safe until we figure out what the f*** is going on," Chara replied.
"Language," Frisk said.
"Sorry," Chara replied, before they carried "Frisk?" to Aster.
(Orphanage: 2:57pm)
At the orphanage, they looked around for Aster. They soon got a note from Miss Aster.
"I'm out for a bit. Leftovers in the fridge."
"Seriously, now's the time for a grocery run," Chara said.
"Well, we can't do anything right now," Frisk said, "Who do you think can help us?"
"The king," Chara suggested.
Frisk shook her head.
"The king is probably too busy to help," Frisk explained, "And it's not like we can just go up and say, "Hey, we found a doppelganger of me, and we want to ask if you know what they are…" It's not like anyone will suddenly have the answers we have."
"I do."
Frisk and Chara jumped, as they heard a voice.
They looked around and saw a grey, black, and white colour. They had a puffy sweater, a bob cut hair, and large, black, empty looking eyes.
"Who are you," Frisk asked.
"And why do you look like you died at a funeral," Chara asked.
"Ok, one, that is very morbid," the kid said to Chara, "And two, I'm CORE! Frisk, but you can call me CORE!, at least to not confuse me with her."
They pointed to the two Frisks.
"Okay, fair," Chara said.
"What are you," Frisk asked.
"I'm somewhat of a friend to Aster," they said, "And I agreed to meet her here."
"Wait, you know Aster," Frisk asked.
"I know a lot of people from your world," CORE! Said, "Like, for example, your little friend over there."
They pointed over the silent Frisk who was still on Chara's Frisk's shoulder.
"You know he… she… her… them," Chara asked.
"Call them Classic! Frisk for short," CORE! Said.
"Okay… that's weird… wait, who are you," Chara asked, "And why do you know mo… I mean Aster's name?"
"I'm a being beyond your comprehension," CORE! Said, "But I don't have the time right now."
Suddenly, in a literal blink of an eye, CORE! had disappeared. Frisk and Chara also saw the Classic! Frisk was gone.
"Where'd they go," Frisk asked.
Suddenly, a noise erupted.
They saw a car some in, and was parked near the orphanage. Out came Ms. Undyne, the head of the new police force, and coworker to Papyrus, who serves as the ambassador to humans and monsters, taking after his father, who mysteriously disappeared.
Along with her, was the rest of the police.
"Alright, remember, we're looking for a person who looks like a young kid, with brown, bob cut hair, and a blue and purple striped shirt," Undyne said, "It doesn't matter the gender, as long as they look like this, bring them to the king."
"Oh, great, they're looking for that kid, and now, they'll probably mistake them for me," Frisk said.
"Will you keep it down," Chara said, "Unless you want to be caught."
"Sorry," Frisk said.
"Ok, I can cause a distraction for a bit, and then you can run out of there," Chara said, "When I get their attention, run."
"Ok, but how are you going to distract them," Frisk asked.
"The "Chara" way," Chara replied.
Chara ran over to the cops, before climbing a tree.
"WAHAHAHA," Chara said, "HELP! I'M TRAPPED!"
"Ahh, a helpless kid is trapped in a tree," Undyne said, "Don't worry kid, I'll help you."
Frisk looked at the seemingly scared Chara, as she gestured to say go. Frisk ran as the cops had her eyes on her. Just when she was out of sight of the cops and Chara.
BOOP!
Something hit her at the back of her head, as her vision slowly faded to black.
"Sorry kid," a voice behind her said, "But I have my orders."
Meanwhile, Undyne was attempting to save a pretending to be scared Chara. She decided to climb up the tree, and helped comfort the kid.
"Hey kid, you okay," Undyne said.
"Y-Yeah," Chara stuttered.
"Ok," Undyne said, "THEN WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!"
"I… my sister and I was being…being bullied for not being… being brave… so… I… I thought of climbing this t…tree… to prove them …wrong," Chara said, "B-but now, I… I can't find a way down."
'Geez, this kid reminds me of my girlfriend,' Undyne thought to herself.
"Don't worry, I got you," Undyne said, as she grabbed Chara, "Just don't look down."
Undyne jumped down, carrying Chara, before laying her down next to the curve.
"You're not hurt, are you," Undyne asked.
"No, I'm fine," Chara said.
"Well then, next time, don't do something stupid like that," Undyne said, "Being brave doesn't mean you just do whatever you want to prove yourself, that's just being stupid, then not brave."
A question popped in Chara's mind.
"Well, then, what does being brave mean, Miss Undyne," Chara asked.
"Well, depends on who you ask, but in my eyes, it's standing up for what you think is right, no matter what," Undyne said.
Chara just stared in awe. She always looked up to her, but seeing her save someone like her, was honestly not what she expected.
"Alright everyone, find that kid, come on," Undyne said.
"Oh shoot, I forgot about Frisk," Chara thought to herself.
Chara then ran to where Frisk ran, but when she arrived there, there was no one.
"Frisk," Chara shouted, "FRISK!"
