In London Kuri was on a date with a man named Richard, Kuri was looking at her menu feeling awkward when Richard slid a napkin in front of her with the word 'Hi' written on it]

"Hi." Richard said.

"Hi." Kuri said.

"So what's the story with you?" Richard said.

"Why does there have to be a story, there's no story." Kuri said.

"You've spent the first ten minutes of our date hiding behind a menu that has three choices on it. It's either chicken, vegetarian or fish, Kuri. I think there's a story and I'm thinking the story involves a guy?" Richard said.

"It's complicated." Kuri said.

"Is he still around?" Richard said.

"No, he...went away." Kuri said.

"I've been there. The going away, it's hard. I'd been seeing a woman and uh...she took a job in New York, eventually the distance killed it. And...and the fact that she uh...she kept sleeping with other dudes." Richard said.

"No!" Kuri said.

"Oh, so many." Richard said.

Rei Selvig walked up to Kuri and Richard's table

"Hi. Um...could we get some wine please?" Richard said.

"Sure, I'd love some." Rei said.

"Richard, this is my sister Rei." Kuri turned to Rei. "What are you doing here?"

Rei grabbed a chair from the opposite table and dragged it across to their table

"Oh, hello." Richard said.

Kiana sits next to Kuri and helped herself to a piece of bread and started buttering it.

"So, I show up to work at the lab-slash-your mom's house, fully expecting you to be moping around in your pajamas eating ice cream obsessing about you know who..." Rei said.

"Ah." Richard said.

"But you're not! You're wearing lady clothes, you even showered, didn't you? You smell good." Rei said.

"Is there a point to all this, cause there really has to be a point to all this." Kuri said.

"Right. You know that scientific equipment you don't look at anymore? You might wanna start looking at it now." Rei said.

She gives Kuri the gadget.

"This is the reason we came all the way out here." Rei said.

"It's malfunctioning." Kuri said.

"That's what I said." Rei said.

Kuri started hitting the gadget on the table.

"That's what I did! But you just hit a little more scientific." Rei said.

"I'm sure it's nothing." Kurisuta said.

"Yeah." Richard said.

Kurisuta handed the gadget back to Rei.

"It didn't look like nothing. Kind of looks like the readings that Erik was rambling about." Rei turned to Richard. "Our father Erik, kind of went banana-balls."

"He's not interested. I'm not interested. Time for you to go now." Kuri said.

"Okay." Rei said.

Kuri rose and dragged her chair back to where she got it from, then turned and walked off.

"Short but sweet." Richard said.

"She needs help." Kuri said.

They start looking at their menus again, but Kuri looks distracted by what Rei told her.

"I think I'm gonna have the sea bass." Richard said.

"Sea bass. Yeah, sea bass is good." Kuri said to herself as she thought about what Rei showed her. "Sea bass, sea bass, sea bass, sea bass, sea bass, sea bass, sea bass...sea bass. Sea bass..."

"Kurisuta, maybe you should stop saying sea bass and go out to your friend." Richard said.

Kurisuta looked at him awkwardly.

"This was so fun." Kuri said.

"You know, I'll just stay here and say sea bass alone." Richard said.
