Tommy awoke the next morning around 5:30, when he heard a heavy downpour outside. The room lit up when lighting struck close by. Soft Carmel hair rested on his chest. This was something that he could get used to. Kimberly started to shiver and Tommy pulled the blanket over her shoulders.
"Thanks, Tommy," Kimberly whispered as she let out a yawn. "How long have you been awake?"
"Not that long," he answered. "Just thinking about our rough day yesterday. Our teachers are mean and strict. There isn't much about this place that I like."
"I know," Kimberly said, as she got out of bed. She walked over to the closet and got out a white Henley and Khaki's. She went to the back of the closet and got out a pink tee shirt and jeans. The only good thing about this school is that we get to stay together."
About an hour and a half later, Tommy and Kimberly left their room and headed to the cafeteria. They knew what to expect and they didn't say a word as they passed Theresa. They heard someone calls her Mrs. Thomas which made her explode. They immediately put together that was her last name.
They each got scrambled eggs, toast, a hash brown, and orange juice. They went into their cubicle and closed the door. Like the previous day, Kimberly sat with her back facing the window.
"I hope my mom and your parents are doing okay," Kimberly sighed.
"I know what you mean," Tommy agreed when he took a sip of juice. "I hope they are okay. And I hope mom is happy at her new job. I just hope she isn't disappointed."
Tommy didn't realize how right he was. Jan Oliver walked out of the TV station very disappointed. She got up bright and early for her new job. But, when she got there, she was laughed at. She was told they weren't looking for a new reporter. She showed them the letter and she was laughed at. At the front door, there stood James. He had spotted Pierre talking to funny looking creature named Mastervile. James led her down the street to the clothing store. It was known as Paris' Latest Fashion. Pierre and Mastervile were talking behind the building.
"I am going to be using Tommy and Kimberly as models in my art classes," Pierre explained. "Caroline is nice and secure inside. She made the perfect manikin. Especially with the look of terror on her face."
James and Jan went inside the clothing store and started to look for Caroline. They walked over to corner and spotted a manikin that had a body figure just like Caroline Hart. It even had the same hair style and hair color.
"This has to be her," Jan whispered to James. She looked closer and saw a look of terror on her face. "She must have learned something-"
"-she did," Pierre interrupted. Mastervile was standing next to him. "We are going to use Tommy and Kimberly as art models. In case you didn't know, they are both power rangers."
James and Jan started to run out of the store. But, Pierre used Mastervile staff to freeze James and Jan in place. Their bodies quickly turned into a white plastic. He walked over to them in satisfaction. With all Caroline and the Oliver's of them out of the way, nothing could ruin his plans.
