Julia- I didn't want to leave Gally's arms, or his bed, because once we walk out the door, who knows if we'll have a next time? But I did as I was told and got dressed. Gally made it difficult though because he kept touching me, raining kisses on any place he could reach. "You know, we should have time for another round, we aren't leaving until nighttime anyway," I said, breathless as I felt his teeth leave another mark on my neck. He chuckled and whispered in that growl-like way that made me melt, "Don't tempt me, Princess." I laughed and pushed him away. "I'm tempting you? You're the one that just left another hickey on my neck. I'm trying to do as I was told." I smirked, knowing where my choice of words would get me. And Gally, never one to disappoint, approached me slowly and stroked my lips with his thumb, then gently wrapped his hand around my throat. "Yes, and you're such a good girl, aren't you baby?" I bit back a moan and rested my head against his still shirtless chest. "You're making it worse," I whined, slowly trailing my hands down, tracing his abs with my nail. His hand ran through my hair, and he pressed a kiss on my head. I looked up at him and smirked. "Did I tell you how much I like your hair like this?" I asked, innocently. He smiled. "Do you now?" I reached up and pulled his head closer to me. "It's hot; makes you look in charge." I knew I had him then. I normally let Gally be the dominate partner, and he loved having control over me in bed. He chuckled in a low, deep, way that had me biting my lip from need. "Nice try." I whined and stomped my foot.
"Come on, fisty little kitten. We need to finish going over the plan for tonight," he said, letting go of me to put on his shirt and held his hand out for me to take. I hissed, but zipped up my boots and followed him out. When we passed by other people in Lawrence's crew, they stared at me, probably seeing the love-bites on my neck. But I always wear them with pride, and it's not like I don't ask for them. We found the others exactly where we left them, and I leaned against the table, smiling when I felt Gally's arms wrap around me, his body leaning against mine. "Did we kiss and make up?" Thomas teased me. I kissed my middle finger then flipped him off, smiling brightly. Brenda snorted and started cackling. "Tommy! Leave them alone!" Newt scolded him. "Dude, I frickin love your girl!" I high-fived Brenda, the sound cracking through the air like a gunshot. "Yeah, so do I. Now, let's get this done," Gally commanded, kissing the back of my neck. "Brenda, you'll be in charge of the escape bus. Fry, you'll be the one that waits at the crane to carry the bus back here to the base. Babe, you'll go with Jorge and get a Berg to get us all out of here when it's all over. Everyone got it?" I jumped out of his arms. "Excuse me? The fuck?" I snapped. "Why the hell am I not helping?!" Gally sighed and looked imploringly at me. "Because your safety is more important than putting you inside the city. We can't take the chance, baby. I know you don't want to hear it, but you're her daughter." "Exactly! I can protect you three! They can't touch me! They can't hurt me!" Gally shook his head. "We can't chance it. They could just grab you and then kill us. I'm not putting you at risk."
"He's right, love. None of us could forgive ourselves if you got taken by that woman," Newt chimed in. "I don't want you setting foot anywhere near Wicked," Thomas added. I glared at him and marched over, pointing my finger right in his face, "You promised she was mine!" I growled at him. He took my hand and clasped it. "And I'll keep that promise. I'll bring her to you, or you can come to us, after we're all safe." I scoffed and walked away from him, glaring at everyone. "You guys' suck!" And I turned, intending to leave, but Gally stopped me. "Babe! Come here!" I stopped in my tracks, not moving, then turned around and walked into Gally's waiting arms. He cupped my face in his hands and whispered to me. "Baby, please. I need to know you're safe when all is said and done." "I need to be able to come back to you. You know I'll come back." I pulled away, but not harshly. "You just promised to never leave me again, and that's exactly what you're doing." He sighed and rested his head on mine. "Please just trust me, baby." I sighed, not having the energy to fight with him. I turned back to Thomas. "I'm holding you to that promise, Greenie." He smiled at me. "Good." I turned back to Gally. "But I'm coming with you to nab that traitorous bitch. And do not," I stopped, pointing a warning finger at Gally and Thomas. "Do not try to change my mind." The boys didn't look happy, but Gally knew better than to argue with me once I've made up my mind.
We talked for a while longer, double-checking and confirming everything with Gally's people. Lawrence came in with Jasper to hear everything themselves. No one had any objections. "So, has the man soothed the savage beast?" Lawrence asked, peering into my face, his eyes catching the marks on my neck. Gally chuckled and pulled me into him. "I would have said tame, but I feel like that would be rude." I glared and straightened myself to full height. "I'm sorry, do I need to mess your face up more than it already is?" Gally yanked at my hips, his eyes wide, shushing me. Lawrence let out a loud, wheezing laugh, then patted Gally's shoulder. "This young woman is a warrior, my friend. Take great care of her, and good luck to you both." Then he walked away, chuckling under his breath. Jasper nodded at us and followed. Brenda and Thomas busted out laughing once they were gone. Jorge came over and patted my head, remarking on my temper. "Little spitfire, your Princesa is, hermano."
Gally- I laughed, nuzzling Julia's neck. "Yes, she is." Then I turned to Thomas. "What's this promise you made her, Greenie?" "I promised that I'd leave Paige to her; she wants to be the one that kills her." I glanced down at Julia, worried. The last image I needed was of her holding a gun to take a life, but I suppose she does have the right to it. "Tommy will do it if Julia can't," Newt said, wrapping his arms around Thomas. I sighed in relief. "Thank you," I told Thomas. We still had time to kill before moving out, so we ate and re-covered parts of the plan when needed. By the time night fell I was confident that everyone knew their part like the back of their hands. Julia and Thomas stood off to the side, pulling on hoodies to keep their faces hidden, and he seemed to be lecturing her. I watched her roll her eyes as she tucked her curls back and I smiled. "You two ready?" They nodded at me, and I took Julia's hand. "You need to stay with me, okay?" She nodded and promised she would. Then we left. When we got to the city, I watched Julia's eyes go wide at everything, and I squeezed her hand. "Act like you've seen it before, babe." We reached the meet-up spot, and Thomas walked off to find Teresa. "I can't wait to get my hands on her. Two punches weren't enough," Julia growled. I shook my head in disbelief. "I'm sorry, what now?" She laughed. "First time was when we realized she betrayed us. Second time was when she tried to defend my mom's actions."
I pulled her into my arms. "I can't believe you were there's. Thank God you're nothing like them." Julia snorted. "Minho said it explained my bitchiness." I flung my hand to my mouth before I busted out laughing and gave us away. "Oh, my god. I'm gonna punch that shank when we see him," I told her. I sighed and buried my face in her hair. "Babe… this probably isn't the right time to talk about this but… Newt said you tried to…" "No. I hurt myself, I didn't try to off myself. There's a difference, and it was only one time; I just wanted the pain to stop." I sighed, kissing her head. "I love you," I whispered. She turned and smiled at me, big and beautiful. "I never thought I'd see that smile again." She hugged me, placing a kiss on my neck. We stood that way for a while until we saw Thomas come back. He and Teresa talked for a few moments, while we snuck up behind her. Thomas glanced over at us, and we pulled a bag over Teresa. Julia took her bag, then grabbed Thomas' hand, speaking softly to him as they walked, while I dragged Teresa along.
Newt- Gally flung Teresa in the chair, and I ripped the bag off her head. She looked around, disorientated, then she saw us. "Gally?" she said, her eyes wide. "Here's how this is going to work; we're gonna ask you some questions, and you'll give us answers. First, where's Minho?" Teresa started speaking, looking over at Tommy, but Gally flung his chair in front of her, blocking him from view. "Why are you looking at him? He's not gonna help you. Look at me." Julia giggled next to me. "I'm looking," she purred under her breath. I laughed softly and pinched her side. "He's with the others in holding," Teresa told us. I asked how many other kids there were. She said twenty-eight. We looked over at Brenda. "I can make that work," she told us. Then Teresa started going on about the restricted access, but Tommy stopped her. "That's why you're gonna come with us." Gally, however, had other ideas, like cutting off her finger. Julia squealed, happy at the thought of hurting Teresa. Tommy stood to stop him, and Teresa told us she wouldn't make a difference because of the sensors. "Yeah, we're tagged. Property of Wicked." Julia hissed at that, clenching my shoulder. "You're gonna help us with that, too." I didn't like the way she looked at Tommy, but I had no reason to be jealous, he never liked her back. "I'll go first, make sure she doesn't try anything," Gally told us. Julia got up in Teresa's face, and the girl looked terrified.
"So, you are still here. I figured, that's what I told your mom." Julia jumped at her, but Tommy grabbed her, pulling her back. Gally took her from him, and he sat back down in the chair, his back facing Teresa, so she could remove the tag in his neck. Julia glared at Teresa, a knife in her hand, silently daring her to do anything but what she's supposed to. "You know, he's the reason your mom kept you in the Maze," Teresa Julia. We all looked at each other, confused. Julia's eyes widened in anger, and she gripped the knife harder. "The shuck is that supposed to mean?" Gally snapped. Teresa focused on making an incision before she answered. "She was going to bring her home when she started showing interest in you, to avoid complications, but she saw how happy you made her. So, she let her stay." Julia barked out a laugh that made us jump. "Is this another bullshit way of trying to defend everything you've done to us?" Gally jerked in his chair when Teresa did something to his neck, and Julia pointed her knife at Teresa's neck. "I just pulled the tracker out!" she yelled. Julia looked at the small pick, then lowered her knife. She handed Gally a towel for the blood and he pulled her into his arms, both of them nailing Teresa with cold, deadly glares. "Doesn't matter why Wicked did what they did, they hurt her. And you're all going to pay for it." And they walked over to us, Gally sitting down and pulling Julia onto his lap.
"I'll go now," I said, squeezing Julia's knee. When I stood, Julia was smirking, giving me a conspirator smile. I smirked back, then grabbed Tommy's face, kissing him. He smiled at me, and I sat down in the chair. Teresa was rougher with me, but I didn't care. When I hissed in pain, a gunshot went off. I looked over and saw Julia, glaring at Teresa, the shot had hit the table next to her. "Love! Behave!" I scolded her, but I was smiling. Gally was smirking and kissed the back of her neck. I got up and joined them while Fry took my place. "Bad girl, love. Gally, don't encourage," I said, pointing a warning finger at them both while my other hand held a towel to my neck. "You're both bad, I can see you smiling, Newt," Tommy said, leaning over me, kissing my head. "Well, you are mine. I just like making sure she knows it." Julia giggled and high-fived me. "Who's encouraging who now?" Gally asked, smirking at me. "Slim it," I told him. Fry walked over and Tommy kissed me again before going over. I got up to grab clothes I thought would fit us, watching Tommy out of the corner of my eye. When I walked back over, I handed clothes to Fry and Gally, then turned away to change. Julia came over as I was putting a jacket on. "You should be trading places with me. I don't need to play it safe; you do." I sighed and rested my head on hers. "Julia, you are worth everything. I can do this. And if I can't, if something happens…" she whimpered, and I held her close. "If something happens, I need you to take care of Tommy." She looked at me with cloudy eyes, and I kissed her forehead.
"Promise me, love." She shut her eyes and hugged me but nodded. "Time to go, Princesa," Jorge called, waiting with his hand out. I let her go so she could say goodbye to Gally. I watched, smiling, as she kissed him, pleading with him to stay safe and come back to her. I met Tommy's eyes, and we smiled. Then Julia walked over to him, and they hugged. Then she punched his arm and told him not to die, which made him laugh. Julia gave us all one last look, then let Jorge lead her out of the building. I went over to Gally and patted his shoulder. "She'll be safe, I promise." He nodded and walked off to get changed. I watched Tommy load up a handgun and grab anything he needed before I handed him clothes. He set his stuff down in a bag, then took my hand, leading us away from everyone. "As much as I want her safe, there's still a part of me that wished you traded places with her," Tommy whispered, holding me. I shook my head. "She said the same thing, but this is the better plan. Neither of us want her anywhere near them, or her." He sighed, taking the clothes from me, and changing. I glanced down at the letters on the jacket inside his bag, WCKD. "Property of Wicked," I hissed. Tommy grabbed my face and stroked the back of my head.
"No. Never again. I hate it too, but we gotta do this. And then we'll be free. All of us together, safe and sound." I sighed. "Tommy, if anything happens to me…" "Nothing's going to happen to you! I'll protect you!" I shushed him, gently, pressing my finger against his lips. "If something happens, promise me you'll take care of Julia. I've already gotten the same promise from her, now I need it from you." He looked like he wanted to argue, but he sighed and promised he would. "I'm so bloody proud of you two, you know that? The way you've bonded, it makes me happy to see how much you care for her." He smiled. "Yeah, I love her, even if she'll never admit it to me." I laughed. "You two will be the death of me." We looked each other in the eyes for a few moments, and then we kissed, blocking out the world for a few precious moments. "I love you, Newt. We're going to get you all better, I promise." I smiled and kissed his nose. "I know you will. And I love you too, Tommy." We pulled away to go back and meet Gally and the others. "You guys ready for this?" Gally asked. We looked at each other, then at our friends. We all looked determined, strong, and I smiled. We nodded, and then we left.
