2. Important Message

So, some of you may have noticed that I changed the title of this fic from 'the Second Conquest of Westeros' to 'Westeros and the New Frontier'.

This is because I am no longer writing a fic about Westeros being invaded and conquered by an interplanetary empire, rather I will be doing something a little more original with this type of ASOIAF fic.

I will be taking heavy inspiration from 'Star Trek: Deep Space 9' in crafting this story, in that it's space explorers coming to a backwater planet that turns out to be really important in the long run.

I will still be taking many alien races and concepts from various pieces of media and grafting them together, just like I planned to do in the previous concept for this fic.

You'll find references to the Federation, Irkins from Invader Zim, the Borg, the Tau from WH40K, Judoon, a Jedi-like establishment, etc.

The previous chapter is still canon, just not the scouts for an invading fleet.

Hope you guys continue to enjoy this fic, once it actually properly starts...
