Lightning woke up. Opening his eyes slowly. His head hurt a bit. Mostly because his neck hurt. He slept weird. He yawned and looked over next to him to see Cruz wrapped up in a blanket and asleep. Last night.. "Holy fuck!" He shouted as he jumped up! Patting himself down. Where was his shirt!? His phone was back in his room. "Shit!" He grabbed his shirt and slipped it on. Cruz woke up and sat up. Rubbing her eyes. Lightning trying to get his shoes on fast. Cruz raises a brow and asked, "What's wrong?" "I fell asleep!" He admitted loudly!
Nearly falling as he put his last shoe on. Cruz grabbed her phone and saw the time. "Relax, it's nearly 5:30." She announced. Lightning brushed his hair a bit replying, "Good. Maybe I can sneak into the motel before Sally wakes up." He grabbed the door handle when, "Mr. McQueen." He froze. Frowning. He didn't want to leave her, but.. He closed his eyes and said, "I'm sorry.." Apologizing before leaving….
He snuck into his room. Quietly. Praying Sally was still asleep. Tip towing into the bedroom and seeing her in bed. That really wasn't a good thing. She was on the couch last he saw. Lightning quietly grabbed some clothes and changed before slipping into bed next to Sally. She was out. Good. He sighed and glanced over at her. Watching her sleep. What had he done? What was he doing with Cruz? He wanted Sally. He wanted his marriage. God dammit. He was just destroying everything. He had ti stop this with Cruz. Why did he feel she was best to talk to last night. Lightning rolled over. Turning away from Sally. Mostly because of his guilt. His heart was hurting. Tears filling his eyes. He was falling apart again. Losing love he wanted to desperately.
Why was his heart fighting him so much lately. It hurt. He didn't understand this pain. He never dealt with this type of heartache. It made no sense! BEEPBEEPBEEP BEEPBEEPBEEP! BEEPBEEPBEEP! Lightning smacked the alarm off and groaned a bit. Sally opened her eyes. Staring at his back. "Stickers…" She called. Lightning clenched his eyes shut. Trying to focus and not cry. Don't cry. Don't feel the pain. Calm down. Letting out a sigh before turning onto his back and glancing at her. Smiling. "Good morning." Sally stared into his eyes. They looked so watery. A bit red. "Lightning, are you okay? You disappeared last night.." Lightning nodded answering, "Yeah… Just… I was… Talking to a friend." "What friend?" His smile faded.
Staring at her. She already knew, didn't she? "Sal…" he began, "Can I be brutally honest with you?.. About some things?…" "Yeah.." "I… I'm not… I'm…" He wasn't sure how to say it. "Sally, I'm not sure I.. I feel… Awe, fuck.. Never-mind." He growled as he sat up. Sally sat up and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Talk to me." She said softly. Lightning shook his head, "Anything I say honestly is just going to hurt you.. And.. Anything I say about us will only cause a fight.. It's not worth it." "It won't. I promise. Just open up to me…" She assured and pleaded. Lightning glanced back at her. Staring at her. "I love you." He smiled. Sally smiled back at him. "Love you too." Lightning placed his hand over hers. Taking her face in a moment before pulling away and getting out of bed. Sally stared at him.
He was hiding things and hurting so much. He needed someone to talk to.. Like that friend.. "The friend you went and talked to…" Sally began asking, "You can open up to them, right?… I'd rather you talk to someone then bottle all of whatever it is up." Lightning stared at her. He shrugged answering, "I don't want to tell my.. Friends everything.." "We could try therapy, Lightning." "No, I don't want that." "Stickers…" "No, I'm sorry. I know better. I'm not having a bunch of pills shoved down my throat again." He growled. This reminded Sally of his current medications. After the accident he was placed on some meds. When he was going to race again, they changed his medications, but after retiring officially, he was placed back on the better medications sense he wasn't driving. Medications for anxiety, depression, pain killers, blood pressure.
Sally got up out of bed and asked, "Are you taking the medications that you are suppose to be taking?" Lightning's brows lowered, "Where is that coming from?" "I'm wondering if… I've seen recently.. You're getting bad again…" she admitted. Lightning only scoffed, "I'm not getting bad again. You just notice me more because you don't have Ben to be all over now." Crossing his arms. Sally only snapped, "That's not it! Like that! Right there! You get snappier and have your little sly comments. You seem off again." "Maybe it's you." Lightning growled. But fuck, why were they fighting again. Sally had enough and walked over to his suitcase. Rummaging through his things. "What are you doing?" Lightning asked rudely.
Sally began taking everything out answering, "Looking for your medications." "You won't find them.." Lightning admitted. Sally stopped and asked, "Why not?" Staring at him. Lightning frowned a moment before admitting, "I'm not.. Taking them…" "Sense when!?" Sally asked as she stood up. Lightning shrugged and sighed, "Sense…" having to think. "Sense I became Cruz's coach.." Sally rubbed her head and tried to think why. "Stickers, the medications are to help you. The depression, the anxiety, muscle pain maybe optional but the other two and the blood pressure!? I don't want something to happen. You are not as young and resilient as you use to be. I need you to take care of yourself." "I hate taking the medications, Sally." "Yeah, that or maybe you love getting the excuse to destroy yourself with drinking and Cruz!" Sally shouted.
Lightning stared a moment. What all did she know? Sally frowned and turned away. Lightning hated himself even more now. Sally was hurting and he was making it worse by not taking care of himself. Of course Sally could tell he was getting worse. Fuck. "Sally.."-"What is going on with you and Cruz?.. Is it just racing?.. Is it really professional and just a friendship?.. It seems like you rather be around her all of the time and I'm starting to wonder if… If you love her.." She said softly. Turning and staring at Lightning from across the bedroom. Lightning's eyes widened as he quickly defended, "I do not love Cruz. I love you. I want us. It's just racing." Lie number one. "I'd never get involved with someone like her." Lie number two. "She's way to young for me, and her voice is a bit annoying, and not to mention she's weird. It's just racing."
Repeated lies. He walked up to his wife and pulled her close. Hugging her. Why couldn't he stop lying and stop destroying himself. This was bad. He had to cut this with Cruz now! It was getting bad and Sally was going to find out at this rate! He could not let that happen! He had to work harder for this marriage. "Lightning…" Sally whimpered, "You're squeezing me.." Lightning let go realizing he was hugging her so tight. Staring down into her eyes. "I have to get to the track. You're coming, right?" "Yeah, I'll be there for the race. You go help Cruz get ready…" The way she said that. He was losing her trust being around Cruz. Lightning sighed. He hated this. But he did have to go…..
Lightning stepped into the hall, closing the door behind him. Staring at Cruz's door. She was probably already at the track…..
Lightning walked up to the garage. Cruz was under the hood of her car. She heard the door open and looked up, THUD, hitting her head under the the hood. Cruz stepped back and rubbed her head as she looked over at Lightning. "Hey, Mr. McQueen." He stared at her. Thinking. About this thing they had. What even was this? Sex? No, it was more at this point. Lightning sighed and telling himself to keep it like it should have been the entire time. He walked up and shut the hood, "Are you ready to qualify?" He asked in a deeper tone than usual. He was firm and quick to the point. Cruz raised a brow and asked, "What's wrong?" "Nothing. Get your ass on the track and get top five. With the way you're driving right on turns, you won't get back up easily if you fall behind." "Um… Okay.. Are you mad at me?" She asked nervously.
Lightning shook his head then grabbed her helmet and tossed it to her. Cruz barely caught it, juggling it in her hands a moment. She stared at him. No, something was wrong. "Did you and Sally get into another f"-"You don't talk about her. She's my wife. You were a mistake. Now get on the track!" He snapped!" Cruz stared wide eyed at him. Trying not to take that to heart. She frowned and just stood there. Lightning realized what he said and quickly, "Cruz, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that." "No… I.. I get it…" She frowned. Fuck. He was going to throw her entire race off. That could be dangerous. "Cruz, you are a racer. I'm your coach. Nothing more. This thing we have been having…" He paused and sighed. It was bad. It was destroying him and Sally.
Cruz set the helmet on her car and walked up to Lightning. "Hey… It's alright… We can stop the whole secret sex thing.. I'm fine with that. I don't want to hurt you." Lightning jerked away and snarled, "Stop. Stop being nice to me! Stop caring! Stop being there for everything! Stop being kind and stop being in love with me!" He was angry. Not at her, but she was getting the full front of it and she knew why. Lightning couldn't be mean to Sally. Not like he wanted to. She was getting all the pain and anger he had against Sally taken out on her. Cruz's brows lowered as she unzipped her suit. "Enough. I get it. You want to take out your stupid fit on her. I told you. I'm here." She walked over, locked up the garage and dropped the suit. Lightning looked over to see Cruz kick her shoes and the suit aside.
Wearing a white tank top, a bra this time and some white thong. He sighed. Looking away. No, no this wasn't the answer. Cruz walked over and caressed the side of his face. He did want her though. "Cruz.." He mumbled as he looked into her brown eyes. Cruz pulled him close. Hugging him. "It's okay, Mr. McQueen… You can use me. I'm fine with that.." Fuck, she was everything perfect. Willing to do anything for him. Even give him her body. Lightning's eyes teared up. He broke down. Crying over Cruz's shoulder. Just the fact that she was so loving and caring and willing and everything he could want right now, but his heart wanted Sally. The Sally he had before everything went so badly.
He should have never stopped her from having that baby years ago. He should have never searched for a way out of the anger and frustration with drugs from Bobby, he would have never taken that first drink to relax and take away some of the depression, he should have never pushed his brother to do things he didn't want, never should have yelled at Sally. Never should have tried coming back to racing or pushed so hard to stay in. Lightning shouting have pushed the Bolt so hard he wrecked. He never should have let Sally have that relationship with Ben, never should have lay eyes on Cruz. Never should have touched her. His hand brushed up Cruz's back and up to the back of her neck. His fingers in her hair. Her scent in his nose and lungs. She was so beautiful and sweet and… She wasn't Sally. She wasn't cruel and manipulative and taking everything away.
She was… Better… Better than the drugs.. the alcohol… Just being near Cruz was better than sex. He didn't need the medication, the drinks, even the sex when he was around her. He hated this! Something was wrong with him! Lightning kissed her neck. Kissing the side of her face then cradling her face in his hands as he kissed her lips gently. This was becoming more than sex and he knew it. The two of them making out. Cruz pulling his hips closer by his pockets. Lightning stepped forward. Pushing her back. Cruz's backside hit the fender of the car and she sat down on it. Their lips never parting. Lightning taking off her tank top as she took his shirt. Both shirtless now, Cruz kissed his abs, his lower chest. Licking up as she stood back up and kissed his throat.
Lightning closed his eyes and moaned. Her touch was more than electric. It was soft and gentle this time. Cruz wrapped her arms around his neck and her lips met his again. Making out as his hands made their way to her ass. Grabbing her cheeks firmly. Cruz moaned into his mouth. Cruz guided them around. Switching places, Lightning sat on the fencer of the race car and Cruz kissed his neck. Taking off her bra and dropping it as she reached for the belt and zipper of his pants. Releasing his member and kneeling slightly before eloping his member into her mouth. Sucking slowly and bobbing her head ups be down. Lightning leaned on the car. Staring at her. She was good at this. Her mouth felt amazing. His face turning a little red as she swallowed and sucked down. "Cruz.." He called softly.
Cruz looked up at him with her beautiful brown eyes. Fuck. She was amazing. Then popping his member from her mouth she stepped back and completely undressed now. Standing before him in her young beauty. Lightning stared. Blushing a bit. Surprised and thankful. Cruz came back to him. Making out with his lips again and crawling over his lap. His member sliding into her so easily. She was warm and ready for him in seconds. Sally was never like that. Maybe she wasn't attracted to him either anymore. He wondered that. Cruz settles her knees on the fender of the car. The metal bedding a bit and creaking as she bounced up and down at a slow pace. So amazingly slow. It felt amazing! Then making out as she took the reins here. Lightning held her by the hips. Helping her balance as she fucked hon with care.
Taking extra care of him right now. This was different than the other times. Cruz moaning into his mouth. He was so close. He was about to. Cruz pulled up, his member popping out and she quickly reached between and stroked him off. Finishing, he came all over her area and thighs. Panting a bit as he did. Cruz smiled and kissed his lips once more before hopping off the car. "You didn't finish." He pointed out. Cruz grabbed her clothes and a towel. Cleaning herself up as she replied, "You needed that. Not me." Smiling at him. Why did she have to be so amazing. Why did she care so god dam much. Lightning stood up and put himself away. His pants covered in cum. Fuck. Cruz tossed another towel to him. He caught it. Watching her dress.
Cruz zipped up the suit then walked over and placed her hands on his chest. "I want you to be happy. If that means this ends between us, it ends. But you have to promise you will be happy." She made clear. Lightning stared into her eyes. Would he be happy with just Sally? He frowned. Not sure. He hadn't been putting much effort into their marriage sense seeing Cruz again. Cruz kissed him once more before grabbing her shoes and slipping them on. "I'll be back to get the car. Give you a minute to clean up." She said as she left the garage. Lightning stood there alone. Letting out a sigh. Why could he not get his heart right. Why couldn't he want Sally like he wanted Cruz. This frustrated the hell out of him. How?
He needed to talk to someone. Someone he could trust. But who the hell could he trust that much and who could give actual helpful advice? Lightning sat down on the floor against the car. Crying. He hated himself. He wanted to run away. He wanted to just run away and never come back. Abandon Cruz, abandon Sally. Just leave and never come back. They were both better off without him….
Lightning stood in the pits. Watching the team get ready. He happen to look over his shoulder to see Sally walking up. He looked away and sighed. How? How did he fight for a marriage that was just falling apart thanks to sexual attraction? Sally stood next to him. Staring at the team and greeted, "Hey." "Hey, Sal." He greeted back. Sally watched the team with him. Watching them get tires set up and ready, fuel, the headsets. Sally looked up at her husband and asked, "You okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired." Sally just frowned. She knew the truth. Then Cal walked up greeting, "Hey, McQueen! Hey, Sally. How are the two of you?" He asked as he stood next to Lightning.
Sally sighed, "Good." Lie. Lightning only scoffed, "Fine. The team, however, is a mess. No one is syncing up." Lightning griped. Cal watched the team. He disagreed, "They look fine to me." "They're slow." Lightning pointed out. Cal shrugged and reminded, "They're new. Give them time. Not everyone or anyone for that matter was as fast as your old team." Lightning nodded. Maybe he was just in a mood right now. Sally grabbed Lightning's arm and asked, "What did she qualify?" Lightning sighed, "Eight.. My fault. I threw her off though…" "How?" "Talking. It's fine though. I can get her top five easy." He assured. But he was angry or depressed or something. He was just off right now.
"Hey, Mr. McQueen." Cruz greeted as she walked up. Sally glared at the young woman immediately upon seeing her and Cruz noticed. It made her slightly nervous. Sally grabbed onto Lightning's arm and mentioned, "Lightning says you're a little off your game, Cruz." Cruz looked at Lightning who glared at Sally for that. Was Sally trying to cause a problem today. Lightning pulled away from Sally and scolded, "That's not funny. You know exactly how dangerous it can be to throw a racer off. There is no reason to make a snarky comment like that."
Sally looked at Lightning with such a sour face and snarled, "You did say that though." Lightning fell furious he continued, "She's new and learning. If you want to be like that, leave." Sally was pissed by this. Lightning rolled his eyes and walked up to Cruz leaning into her ear and whispering something. Cruz blushed a bit and stared directly at Sally. Sally didn't know what he had told her, but it didn't sit well and it was almost as if Lightning was getting back at her for the comment she made.
Lightning then walked up to Sally and grabbed her arm, pulling her aside, shoving her against a toolbox and pinning her by placing his palms on either side next to her head, and leaning into her ear he said, "Don't mess with my racer again. You screw her up and get in her head, you won't be welcome to another race." Sally slapped one of his arms away, giving her an opening and snarled, "You wanted me to come and we were suppose to be working on us, but if you want to hang out with her so much and defend her," Shoving Lightning a few steps back at his chest! "maybe I shouldn't come to anymore races."
Lightning just gave her a nasty little glare and walked away through the pits. Sally rubbed her arm where he had grabbed her then stared at Cruz. She didn't know what was going on, but something was between her husband and Cruz. She was going to find out. Cal stared at the two women. But seeing how Lightning just interacted with Cruz, he was sure of something and needed to talk to Lightning…..
Lightning walked through the trailers where Cal rushed to catch up. "McQueen!" Cal called, "Wait up!" Lightning stopped and sighed. He was already frustrated thanks to Sally and didn't want to deal with anything else. Cal walked up next his friend and asked, "What's going on with you and Cruz?" Lightning snapped, "Nothing. Everything's fine between Cruz and I." "That's not what everyone who saw that back there thinks." Cal argued. Lightning rolled his eyes and replied, "It's fine. Cruz and I had a talk about some things and that was it." "Yeah, okay. What things?." Cal asked.
Lightning stared at Cal a moment before answering, "Just things. Doesn't matter." "It obviously mattered to Sally." Cal snapped. Lightning had enough and walked off. Leaving Cal worried, confused and a bit upset that Lightning was obviously up to something that just didn't sit right.
But Cal had it! He ran up to Lightning and grabbed his shoulder, "What the hell have you done? Are you drinking? Using something Bobby gave you again?" Cal asked. Lightning only growled, "Let it go, Cal.." Gritting his teeth hard. Cal snapping back, "Let it go? I can't let it go! Not after what Meg told me! I don't want you getting hurt or doing something stupid! I won't lose you again and not like that!" Lightning finally had it and turned around and into Cal's face yelled, "LET IT GO!" Then shoved Cal to the ground! Cal fell hard and stared up at Lightning. This was bad! Lightning just glared at Cal a moment before realizing race teams and track workers were staring. God dammit. Then even worse, he noticed Sally ahead. "Fuck.." He whispered to himself then turned and walked away. Furious.
Sally ran up and helped Cal off the ground. "I'm so sorry, Cal.." She apologized. Cal stood and sited himself off. A little pissed off. Okay, really pissed off. If that's how Lightning was going to act, he wasn't fit to coach. "It's fine." He assured. "But he's not okay." Then he looked at Sally and snarled, "It's mostly your fault, you realize that, right?" Sally's brows raised. "What?.." she muttered. Cal onto scolding her rudely, "You did the one thing that you don't do to someone. And worse, he was in a fucking coma. What kind of person does that! Now I have to pull him! He's not mentally there! I'm pretty sure you ruined him!" Then walking around her and stomping off to the pits.
That hurt like a knife! Sally stopped Cal, grabbing his arm and pleading, "Please don't pull him. You do that and he's going to go off and blame me." "He should!" Cal snapped at her. Sally let go of Cal's arm. He shook his head with judgment and disappointment in his eyes. He hated Sally for what she did to his friend. Turning and leaving her alone to go talk with Tex about Lightning. Sally stood there. This was going to cause a huge fight when Lightning found out. But she was furious. If it was going to be a fight, might as well make it worth it….
Sally walked back to the pits. Searching for one person. Intent on making it clear where she stood now more than ever. Sally walking up and not seeing her. Only fueling her anger. Sally began towards the garages. There! She saw Cruz walk into her garage. Sally quickly followed. Walking into the garage and closing the door. Cruz turned and stared at Sally. Cruz's face turning pale. If she had a tail, she'd be hiding it between her legs right now. "Mrs. McQueen…" Cruz muttered nervously. Sally walked up and asked, "What have you been doing with my husband?" "I don't know what you mean?" "Oh really? So why does he want to be around you so much? Why would Lightning, one of the tracks biggest whores want to be around YOU?" Sally asked rudely.
Cruz blushed a bit and stuttered, "I.. He's my coach.. I mean he's suppose to be"-"Save it. I see right through that stupid face of yours. You want him." "What!? I.. No-I.. I'd never"-"Take him. I don't care. But he will hurt you." "I… What?.." "He doesn't love you. You want to be his so called friend and try and get him to sleep with you? Fine. But once he's done, he will come back to me. He always comes back to me. And the minute I catch you with him in any way other than work and professionalism, I will destroy you. All I need is the slightest evidence and I will end you. Do I make myself clear?" Sally asked. Cruz swallowed nervously and nodded. Holding her hands up as if an officer demanded it as she defended, "I know he's yours.. I'm not… I'm not trying to take him like… Like that..." "Than what is it!?" Sally shouted at the younger woman!
Cruz nervously answering, "I just don't want him to be so depressed! I-I-I… I just want him to be happy!" Sally grabbed Cruz by the collar of her race suit and continued, "I want you to stay away from my husband or I will destroy you. Once I'm done, you will never set foot on another track again, got it?" Sally asked. Making her stand and being very clear. Cruz nodded. Sally let go of Cruz and stepped back. Turning around and seeing Lightning at the door. Standing there. Sally's entire demeanor changed. She turned pale. Lightning took a deep breath. Glancing back at Cruz a moment then back to his aggressively harsh glare at his wife. Calmly and firmly he ordered, "Go to the motel, Sally." "Lightning…" "Go to the motel and I'll deal with you later." He growled.
Holding in his anger. Sally glanced back at Cruz. Frowning. Lightning just scolding, "You don't ever come back here, Sally. You aren't needed at the track. How dare you come in here and mess with her just because you are insecure!" Alright, that's it! He had it! "I can not believe you did that! And before her race!? I should have you arrested for assault! Cruz and I don't have anything going on! I made that clear before! I don't love her! I loved you until this moment! This right here! I hate your fucking guts! You make me absolutely miserable! I don't want to see your god dam face at another track again after this! You said it yourself! We were going to work on us! But instead I find you assaulting my racer! Telling Cal and Meg I tried to kill myself and then get me pulled from a race!? You and your god dam mouth go home!" He shouted!
"Go home and don't come back! I'll be home in a few days and you think about what the hell you just did! Because it's bad! This is bad! I'm so mad with you!" "I know you only hang out with her because you want to fuck her!" Sally shouted! Lightning had it! SLAP! Right across Sally's face! Sally grabbed her face and looked back at her husband slowly... She stared at Lightning. Cruz even jumped back a bit! But Lightning stood his ground. He was DONE. "Go home." He ordered. Sally could not believe he just did that! "Stickers…" Sally whimpered as tears filled her eyes. Lightning felt the heartache of what he had just done. His eyes tearing up as he felt nauseous. "Go home.." He repeated. "I don't want you here." He admitted and looked at the cold floor. he could not look at her after what he did. Sally stared at him. Still in slight shock.
Lightning then just stomped a foot near her, "Leave!" He shouted in her face! Looking directly into her fearful eyes. Making Sally jump back a little before nodding. "Fine.." She snarled. Rubbing her face and walking out the door. Lightning sighed. Rubbing his face with his hands. Fuck! Cruz stared at him from across the garage. "Mr…. McQueen?…" She questioned. Lightning looked at Cruz. Just great. This was fucking hell. Lightning shook his head and explained, "Cal pulled me out. He will be your coach today. I'm sorry…" he mumbled. "I'm sorry you had to see that…" Then he left. Leaving her alone after witnessing a different side of him. And.. Cruz wasn't sure how she felt about that….
No reason to be at the track and no reason to be at the motel with Sally. Not after how that fight ended. He finally gave in and headed to the nearest, cheapest, dirtiest dive bar he could find. Just fuck it all. He gave up! Sitting at the bar and drinking. Two, three, four. Slamming his glass down and ordering another. If he was going to defy Sally and drink, he was going to do it right! Five, six. Stumbling as he stood up. Laughing with some random older guy. Music loudly playing as women danced all around. The place smelled of sex, sweat, and alcohol and cigars. Lightning sat at the stage. Smoking as he watched the women dance. Hottest looking little slut he had seen on a while. Making sure he saw her dance. Tipping her and sliding some cabs onto the stage before getting up. Stumbling and putting out the cigarette in the ash bowl. Ordering a seventh drink and nearly spilling it all over himself. But know what? He was having the time of his life! Laughing, joking around with strangers, dancing with a few women that looked like they were hammered just as badly really…..
Lightning stumbled into the motel. Drunk as hell. Falling onto the floor as he walked in and slowly standing back up. Sally slowly walked in. Staring at him. She sighed. Great. Right back to his old habits… And it was her fault. She frowned as she watched him stagger through the room. "So you went out and got drunk?.. That was your fix?" She asked a bit rudely. Lightning glared at her and asked, "W-why do y-you care?.. Aren't you suppose to… To be he-dead home?" Staggering by her and making his way to the couch. He basically fell onto the cushions. Lying there and groaning a bit. Sally stared at him. This was really bad. But what could she do!? Anything she tried to do only made things worse! Sally walked over and sat in the accent chair across from the couch. Staring.
Lightning looked at her a moment then closed his eyes and asked, "D-don't judge…. me. I-I tried not to um… Drink." "I'm sure…." Sally growled sarcastically. Lightning sat up. Nearly falling off the couch and pointed at her, "You are a-A devil. You just want thissss.. You want me to fall apart an-and do this to us." "Are you kidding me right now!?" "Fuck… You.." he growled and fell back down onto the couch lying there. Sally stood up and shook her head. "You want to ruin the little bit of a career you have left by drinking, fine. Do it and see if I care. But I don't know how much more of this crap I can take! You stood up for her! You defended her! I'm your wife!" Sally reminded loudly. Lightning groaned and replied, "You are waaaaay to loud… You… You sound like a squeaky t-toy."
Then about puked right there on the floor. Sally crossed her arms and griped, "So this is what has become of the great Lightning McQueen huh? What a disappointment.." Walking away. Lightning snickered muttering on, "Y-you think I'm a disappointment?" He laughed as he closed his eyes lying there, "Y-you should h-have seen the fucking bar. It… It was a fucking whore house." Laughing a bit and almost passing out. Sally marched right back up with a glass of water and tossed the liquid at his face! Lightning shot up and coughed! Choking the water he inhaled. Sally snapping, "This is not you! This is not us! I'm sorry I messed up! I'm sorry I dragged you down to this! I'm sorry I slept with Ben! I should never have! But you are not helping us! We were suppose to be working on us! We are suppose to be healing! And you aren't suppose to drink!" She was pissed and hurt!
Lightning stared up at her. Drenched now. He frowned. He knew what he did dispute being drunk. Sally set the glass on the coffee table and continued, "I am going home! And if you want us!? If you really, REALLY want to work this out and be with me!? You WILL come home with me! It's me or the fucking race track! That's it! This is our last chance because this was bad! You hit me! You drank again! You defended her! I'm done! You don't come back home with me then don't come back at all!" With that, she stomped off into the bedroom! SLAM! Went the door! Lightning sighed as he sat there. Rubbing his face. Fuck whimpering a bit. She was right. About how he was destroying himself earlier. Today was bad. People began to notice Lightning's behavior… He was a disappointment and it was time to choose the life he wanted….
