The last thing Severus Snape remebered was being bitten by Nagina on Voldemort's orders.
He found himself in a glowing white room. He knew he was dead, but he, unfortunately, did not know where he was. Severus hated not knowing things.
Suddenly, a voice much like Dumbledore's spoke to him.
"Hello Severus." Dumbledore said.
Severus could not see him. "Where am I and why are you here?!"
"You're in between hell and heaven, Severus." Dumbledore said, pausing for a few moments before continuing.
"I'm simply here to inform you that a second chance has been bestowed upon you, Severus. One you deserve."
Severus was sure he did not deserve a second chance. After killing, being the worst headmaster of all time, becoming a deatheater, treating students ruthelessly and letting deatheaters such as the Carrows to curse them...
Where was the good in that?
"I don't -" Severus began, but Dumbledore cut him off.
"You do deserve it Severus! You've done more than enough to make up for your mistakes." Dumbledore said as a gateway appeared.
This gateway was a stone archway, and it looked exactly like the one in the Ministry, otherwise called the death arch or the arch of death. Severus had read about it in books, though there was never any concrete information or proof it truly existed.
Severus wasn't sure he deserved another chance in life. Perhaps because he was too bad to go to heaven...and not bad enough to go to Hell? Severus walked cautiously towards the archway. He suddenly heard voices, seeming to come from the other end...
Echos telling him to lift the veil.
Severus did not move an inch until a certain unexplainable force pulled him from where he stood and his hand, uncontrolled by Snape, lifted the veil and was sucked in gracefully, almost peaceful if he didn't have an idea of what would meet him at the other end.

Author's Note: The first chapter is always short, I apologize. Thank you for reading! By the way, this story contains a Horcux search and the Snily is eventual. Sorry, but that's the plan!
WARNING: Unfortunately, I do not own Harry Potter.
