A man with stylish, jet black hair steps onto a shoddy doc. His wide, bright smile is both inviting yet seemingly cruel. "Welcome back to the new season of Total Drama!" He looked directly forwards, into the camera in front of him. "I'm your hottest with the moistest, Chris McLean, ready to drop the hottest season of the best show on what's left of television!" Chris chuckled. "We've assembled another group of completely dysfunctional teenagers who will all go home worse people! But one of them will also go home 1 million dollars richer!" He walked down the dock. "They'll face the harshness of the island's natural life, the war crime that is Chef's food, their own inner demons, each other, but most importantly, they'll be facing my challenges! Who will win? Who will make themselves a national embarrassment and get harassed by their friends, family, and classmates when they return home? Stay tuned to find out on TOTAL… DRAMA… ISLAND!"

Chris turns his head. "And I think I see our first camper!" A boat passes by, leaving behind a pale, bookish young woman. Her auburn hair was tied back lazily in a convenient bun, contrasting her teal glasses and dark green eyes. Chris extends an arm as if to show off the young women. "Welcome Ashley!"

Ashley took a moment to look at Chris, and then her surroundings. "Cheap, falling apart. To my expectations of the island. And you Chris." She said bluntly.

"I am not falling apart thank you very much!" Chris protested. "This bod is in peak health!"

"Ah yes, but of course." Ashley walked past Chris, towing her bag behind her.

Chris looked back towards the lake as another boat passed by, leaving behind a pudgy, yet tanned boy with a blocky head, and a blonde crew cut. He's wearing a uniform with a tan button down and green cargo shorts. Slung over his chest is a sash, filled to the brim with an army of colorful badges upon. He raises his hand in a salute. "Senior Patrol Leader Dhillon of the 77th Troop reporting!"

"Ah Dhillon! At least we will have someone here with first aid experience!" Chris saluted back. "Welcome to the island!"

Dhillon looked at the camp with a confident grin. "The great outdoors. This is my home turf!" He walked over towards where Ashley was standing. The two stood together silently for a moment. "Are you sure a skirt is the best outfit for a summer camp in the wilderness?" Ashley shot the scout a glare.

Before she could respond, another boat passed by, leaving behind a tall and lanky boy with a bowl cut. He took a shaky step forward, and the wood beneath him snapped. The tall boy cried out as he fell into the water below. "Help me!" He called up.

"And our most unlucky resident!" Chris cackled. "Welcome to the island Evan!" He called to the drowning boy. "Gonna need to have Chef patch up the dock…" He muttered to himself.

"He could be seriously hurt!" Dhillon complained.

"Yeah and?"

Dhillon clenched his fists and grabbed a ring buoy off the side of the dock. "I got you man!" He threw it out towards Evan. The lanky boy grabbed onto the buoy, clinging desperately to it as Dhillon pulled him in. The scout pulled up a soaked Evan up onto the dock as another boat passed by.

"Thanks," Evan gasped between deep breaths, trying to get his bearings. "Thought I was a goner there."

A short, tanned teen boy walked across the dock. He wore a beige button down with rolled up sleeves, and dark green slacks. His neck length hair was neatly brushed, his bangs pushed up and to the side. He stopped in front of the hole in the dock, peering down. He looked back up at a soaked Evan. "Not even going to ask."

"A warm welcome to Kenneth!" Chris said, raising his hand for a high five. Kenneth walked straight by him, not even sparing Chris a glance. "You'd think they'd be a little grateful."

"Oh. Yeah. Sorry." Kenneth looked down at his watch. "I feel soooo bad Chris. I might die from sadness!"

Chris narrowed his eyes at an unwaveringly bored Kenneth, before turning to face the incoming boat. "Hopefully this camper won't be a brat!" As the boat approached, a teen girl leapt into the air, riding on a skateboard, duffel bag in tow. She spun on her board as she hurtled towards the dock, her blonde ponytail flying behind her. The girl landed on the dock with a CLACK before rolling to a stop. "Sick moves Riley!" Chris said, fist bumping the newcomer.

"You bet!" Riley smirked, picking up her skateboard and walking towards the others. She brushed off graphic-tee and baggy pants, and looked up, taking in her competition. "Dang, you all look weak." She commented, earning a glare from Dhillon and Ashley, and a snicker from Kenneth.

An explosion rang out, turning the heads of everyone on the docks. A girl with charred golden hair flew from her boat, and crashed into the dock. She slid against the splintery wooden dock before coming to a stop in front of Chris. As the boat passed, it threw off multiple bags, including a tool kit.

"Coming in with an explosive entrance, meet Jamie!" Chris snickered.

Jamie got up, and brushed the ash out of her mess of thin curly hair and baggy clothes, both covered in oil stains. "That's another discovery that goes into the journal!" She beamed, her teal eyes shining as she jotted something down in a black notebook. "I hope you all will test my new inventions!" She extended a dirty hand. Kenneth backed away, but Dhillon shook it with gusto.

"Oh, I am looking forward to what she's gonna bring!" Chris said, trying to hold back a maniacal grin. "Maybe I hire her for the challenges after she gets eliminated." He wonders aloud.

The next contestant steps of the boat without making a sound. His hands were stuffed in the pockets of his jeans, his eyes glue to the dock. He looked around nervously, before walking towards Chris. He looked up, waving sheepishly at the other contestants. "H-hey I'm Jake!" The others wave back at the short, brown-haired boy as he joins them, avoiding eye contact.

Jamie jumps up to Jake, who leans away from the energetic girl. "Hey you look like you'd be just the right size to test one of my new inventions!"

"O-oh, would I?" Jake laughed nervously. He stepped around her, clenching his teeth. "I think I'm good, thanks-" His face seized up as he saw the next competitor step off the boat. The short, wiry boy fell to his knees, his lower eyelid trembling. "No! It can't be!" A tall, muscular boy stepped onto the dock. He ran a hand through his golden brown, medium length hair. His muscles flexed naturally through his orange muscle shirt. Chris chuckled as the boy walked forward, a confident smile on his face.

"And now I can properly introduce them! Jake and Manny, the non-fraternal twins!" Chris said, side eyeing a shell-shocked Jake. "We made super sure to make sure to not pick IDENTICAL twins after last time!"

"Hey lil bro!" Manny threw his arm around Jake, pulling him close. The taller brother's tan contrasted with the smaller brother's paleness. "We are going to make such a good team amirite?" Jake smiled nervously in response, looking for an escape.

"And here is our next camper!" Chris announced, walking over towards a preppy girl with brown skin, and long, straightened hair. Her plaid skirt, dress shirt, flats, and a grey jacket made her look like she belonged at a school rather than a summer camp. "Hailing from the most prestigious private school in Canada, meet Emma!"

"Greetings!" Emma said, shaking Chris' hand. "I hope we can all get along!" She shot the others a warm, friendly smile as the next boat rushed past. The next camper silently pushes past her, not even providing a second glance. "What was that about?!" Emma snaps at the newcomer. A fashionable, raven-haired girl in a crimson tank top and tight jeans. In each hand is a massive suitcase.

"Oh sorry, I was trying not to look at whatever… that is!" She said, gesturing at prep student's uniform. "Oh, name's Kelly by the way. Don't worry about remembering it because you'll be hearing it all the time after this competition is over." Kelly walked over and stood next to Riley. The skater narrowed her eyes. Manny glanced at Kelly, a faint smirk forming.

The next boat sped by, dropping off a girl clad in black leather, from her boots to her spike studded vest. Slung over her back is a guitar decorated in purple flames, and in her hands are a large duffel bag and a portable amp. "Sup McLean." She fist bumped the host.

"Sammy!" Chris cackled. "How's our resident rocker girl doing?"

Sammy took an abrupt step forward, getting in the host's face. "It's Sam. I ain't gonna remind you twice!" She poked Chris' chest, before walking away towards the group. She shot Riley a cocky grin. "Nice board."

"Thanks! It's all custom made." Riley said, taking a moment to run her hand over the skateboard. "Your guitar is pretty sick."

Another boy stepped onto the dock, waving after the boat as it drives off. He was taller, with a decent amount of muscle, shown off by the short sleeves of his blue shirt. His shoulder length black and blue hair flowed as he walked. "Thanks for the ride man!" He turns towards the gathered campers, his relax smile never faltering as he took a good look at his competition. "You guys seem pretty chill." He high fived Chris and walked over towards the group, enthusiastically offering everyone a high five.

"Seems like Brent doesn't have any attitude issues." Chris noted. "A nice change of pace! He'll make fine meat for the grinder!"

The next boat whirred by, leaving in it's wake a tall hispanic girl in a short tube top and short jeans. She tilts down her sunglasses, a sinister smile forming on her face. "Hellooooo everyone!" She practically sang. She ran forward, waving excitedly at everyone. "It's sooooo nice to meet you all!"

"Welcome Camilla!" Chris said before being attacked with a hug.

"Omg Chris it's so nice to meet you!" Camilla squealed. "You look so good! Have you been lifting?"

Chris flexed his arms. "I don't mean to brag buuuuuut…"

Sam scoffed. "Yeah, who would brag about sagging noodle arms?" Chris shot a glare at the rocker but didn't say anything.

"Anyways! It looks like our 14th camper is about to arrive!" Chris changed the subject as a boat passed by.

"Oh man that might be the ugliest thing I've ever seen!" Said a girl with dark tan skin and short, uneven hair. She wore a fashionable grey and purple top with one shoulder missing, and loose jeans. "So hideous, I can't even believe it's allowed on TV!" She walked forward, and placed a hand on Chris' shoulder and gave him a concerned gaze. "I'm so sorry you have to live with a face like that!"

Chris rolled his eyes. "This is our resident amateur comedian, Minh." His words hung in the air with a harsh pettiness.

"Eh, better an amateur than a has been, y'know?" Minh answered with a sly grin and a shrug. Chris balled his fists as the comedian's words elicited a giggle from the other campers. Sam offered Minh a fist jump as she joined the group.

"Ehem!" Chris cleared his throat. "Now that NOTHING has happened, let's introduce another camper!" While he spoke, another boat approached. A figure leapt out of the boat, doing a flip in the air before landing square on the dock. "Way to make an entrance!"

"Always find a chance to train!" Said the newcomer; a tall, large boy with dark skin, short black hair tied into dreads. He has defined muscles that show through his local high school sports jersey. "One lost day takes ten days to get back after all!" He said with a friendly grin.

"Right you are! Captain of the second-best high school football team in the USA, meet Jordan!" Chris said, emphasizing the second place.

Jordan ignored Chris and joined the rest of the campers. "Nice moves." Manny commented. "Nice to see a fellow athlete here. Someone else who can maybe keep up."

"Oh don't worry I'll be doing more than keeping up!" Jordan taunted.

"Alright let's stop the back talk we are already running behind schedule!" Chris complained, turning towards the next boat. "Its time to meet our final contestant!" He announced as a posh, uppity looking boy stepped onto the docks. His slick golden hair and designer clothes reflect the early summer sun, causing everyone on the docks to flinch carrying gold adorned suitcases.

"Greetings, peons! I am Francis de Elcair!" He said with a thick French accent. He stared at everyone with a condescending look. "I am the heir to the Elcair fortune and am thus better then everyone of you." Francis declared. "I have awards in literature, science and tea making."

"Well it seems he did my job for me." Chris shrugged. "But here, none of that matters! You are just another camper!" He smirked at Francis. "I plan to make sure to get peak entertainment value out of everyone here!"

"Hmph!" Francis walked past Chris to stand with the other campers.

"This may be the ninth time this show has been run, but I'll go over the rules anyways!" Chris said. "Every three days you will be subjected to a new challenge! Fail, and you are at risk of elimination by your fellow campers at the campfire ceremony. Win, and you get immunity, and a nice reward! The last camper standing at the end of the summer wins 1 million dollars!"

"And then this is the part where you put us into two badly named teams?" Kenneth asked with a raised eyebrow. This elicited a chuckle from Minh.

"Well at least you got part of it correct." Chris answered. "But like always, these team names are absolutely awesome!" He pulled out two rugs; one green and one red, and threw them on the dock. "When you hear your name, stand on the red rug; Manny, Minh, Kenneth, Brent, Jamie, Francis, Emma, and…." Chris paused, watching Jake's eyes shake. "Jake." The small boy sighed in defeat. The eight campers walked over, avoiding the Evan sized hole in the dock and stood on the red carpet. Most of them wore cautiously optimistic smiles. "You all the Deadly Ducks!" He tossed over an emblem to the team. Manny catches it, revealing a duck holding a knife.

"Deadly Ducks! Lets go!" Brent cheered, offering high fives to the rest of his team.

"Now for team two!" Chris started. "On the green rug: Dhillon, Ashley, Jordan, Sam, Evan, Riley, Kelly, and Camilla!" He gave the second team a chance to go and stand on the rug. "You all are the Killer Kittens!" He tossed the team red emblem featuring a kitten dual wielding pistols.

"Yeah, like a kitten could ever be dangerous." Sam scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Honor student was right. You do suck at naming things!"

"I don't know. My grandma's kitten almost clawed my eyes out a few weeks ago!" Evan said, making clawing motions with his hand. He shuddered for a moment, before shaking his head. "That was right after her dog almost bit me."

"Does everything want to kill you?" Dhillon asked.

Evan nodded. "Pretty much, yeah." He said casually, his eyes darting in each direction nervously. "I've become very perceptive because of it!"

Dhillon raised a quizzical eyebrow. "I guess I'll keep my first aid kit ready?"

"Campers listen up!" Chris boomed through a megaphone. Everyone covered their ears and glared at Chris, who simply smiled and tossed the megaphone behind him. "Now that you've had a moment to meet your teammates, its challenge time!"

"Can't I put my stuff away first?!" Kelly stomped her leather boot heal against the rickety dock, sending a sharp vibration through it that caused Evan to flinch. "And I need to redo my hair this humidity is ruining it!" She ran her hands through her neck length hair, and pursed her lips.

"Pretty sure you did that to yourself." Riley stated as a matter of fact, earning a flick in the back of the head from the raven-haired diva. "Hey don't blame me for stating facts!" She shrugged with a coy smirk.

CONFESSIONAL

Kelly sat in the outhouse, filing her nails. "Oh, I know exactly who I'm sending home first." She declared. "No one disses the queen and gets away with it! As they say… of with her head!"

SHIFT

Riley sat back in the outhouse, a relaxed expression on her face, and her hands resting on the back of her head. "I've dealt with girls like her all the time at home. You really don't need to do much to get to them. Spoiled little mommies' girls think they are all, but the tiniest thing sets them off. I've made a sport out of pissing them off!"

CONFESSIONAL END

"Nope! You can do your hair after the challenge!" Chris said, shaking his head. "You can unpack and claim your bunks later. Now shut it and listen. Today's challenge will require each team member to carry a piece of their team's emblem to the top of the cliff, where you will then need to assemble them! First team to assemble their emblem wins immunity. The other team will be sending someone home tonight!" As he spoke, a helicopter flew overhead, carrying two crates. "You can drop em here!" Chris yelled up. The crane released it's arm, and both crates crashed down into the beach in front of the dock, revealing multiple large pieces, ranging from a the size of a gold lab to the size of Jordan.

The campers assembled around their respective pieces, examining them.

"Hey this piece looks the largest, you should carry it Manny!" Jake tapped on a piece a full head larger than him.

"Ah ah ah!" Chris waggled his finger. "Once you touch a piece, you have to carry it!" He explained, flashing his signature grin to the tiny twin, whose face twisted in agony. "And you can't help a teammate move their piece until yours is at the top of the cliff!"

"Oops." Jake gulped, receiving a glare from Emma.

Chris pulled out an airhorn. "The challenge starts… NOW!" The air reverberated with the sound of the airhorn, and the campers scrambled to grab their pieces. While the chaos ensued, Chris turned towards the camera. "Our first challenge is underway, and it is anyone's game! Who will survive to the next round, or even the end of the challenge? Stay tuned to find out, on Total Drama Island!"
