99 walked into an office building. She went to the elevators and called one. When it came, she pushed the B button. It took her to that floor. She got out and walked the short hall to a door marked Shin Yang Cleaners, She took out a special pickpocket tool, unlocked the door, and went in.
She walked to the back of the shop. A tank of soapy water with clothes in it was there.
"I've come to pick up my shirt," she said quietly.
A man came up from under the water! He had a breathing apparatus attached to his nose. He wore a black 3-piece suit on.
"Do you have your ticket?" he asked.
"Sorry, no-I've misplaced it."
"Sorry, no tickee-no shirtee!"
"Hi, 13. How are you doing?"
"Why do I always get these jobs? I'm so waterlogged, my skin is wrinkled! See?" He showed her his hands. "Fortunately, this suit is drip-dry!"
"I know, 13! But I want you to know I really appreciate you; you're one of our best agents."
"Thank you, 99!"
"Discovered anything?"
"Yes. About an hour ago, some people were here. Judging from the voices, I'd say there were two of them. And they spoke Russian. I think one of them might've been Sergey."
"Well, I think this is definitely a KAOS front. Good work, 13!"
"Thank you, 99."
Suddenly, they heard sounds; someone was entering the drycleaners!
"Get in the tub!" 13 whispered.
She got in. They both hid among the clothes.
It was two men. They talked in Russian.
Unfortunately, 99 held her head above the water to breath-and one of them saw her! He motioned to the other man, and the two of them walked over to the tank. The first man pulled out a gun.
"You might as well come up for air!" he said.
She stood up.
He smiled. "Well, if it isn't 99 of CONTROL! You look beautiful even soaked! Do you often take a bath with all your clothes on?"
"No, I don't."
"Well, there's always a first! And a last!"
He started to shoot. However, 13 suddenly stood up, gun in hand. He quickly shot the two men, killing them!
"Thank you, 13!"
"You're welcome. Are you all right?"
"I think so-just a little frazzled."
"99, I'm amazed; not a lot of girls would do what you did."
"What did I do?"
"Get into a tub of soapy water with your clothes on!"
"I just did what I had to do! I think we can both get out now."
"At last!"
They got out. Fortunately, towels were nearby. They dried off as best they could. 99 took her boots off, poured the water out of them, dried off her feet a bit, then put her boots back on.
"Is there a phone here?"
"Yes, I'll show you."
He led her into an office. She made a call:
"Hello?"
"Hi, Chief."
"Oh, hi, 99."
"The Shin Yan cleaners is definitely a KAOS front. 13 just killed two men. One of their may be Sergey."
"Excellent work, you two."
"We're reporting back to headquarters. Oh, can we have towels?"
"Towels?"
"We both went swimming in a clothes tank!"
"Oh! I'll have them ready for the two of you."
"Thanks. Bye."
"Bye, 99."
They both left the cleaners.
