After the battle against Adam and his angels, the hotel was rebuilt from the rubble it had been reduced too. Then had followed a turf war with the Vees, in which Alastor had freed himself from his deal. There was a moment when it seemed as if he would take advantage of the situation but then stopped, returning to Charlie's side willingly. Years passed, as the crew worked together and filled the hotel. They would take turns sitting at First Arrival and hook in Sinners right as they arrived. They made bargains with Overlords to help protect their people, using Alastor's status. After five years, a portal to Heaven opened for the first time.

Emily, the Seraphirm, arrived with a bright smile on her face. Charlie and Vaggie went out to greet her as she landed.

"Hello!" Emily called energetically. She pulled both girls into a hug ."I have amazing news from above!"

Soon they were all sitting in the meeting room of the hotel, the entire staff gathered. Alastor was serving Jambalaya for them as they talked.

"So, you will be pleased to know that my sister, Sera, is being punished for the exterminations. She did not have permission from the others of our rank first, nor from Michael, Gabriel, or Raphael. We have been researching the possibility of souls ascending to heaven, now that one has."

Charlie wiped the tears from her eyes. It was a year after the battle when they had learned that their fallen friend had arrived in Heaven. "Is he doing well up there, without his Eggys?"

Emily gave her a soft smile. "He is doing great. He's working at the zoo, actually. Said you talked about it in great detail after your visit and he wanted to feel close to you lot. He's really good with the animals, especially the reptiles."

Everyone chuckled at that. Husk poured a drink for everyone and they all raised a glass in toast.

"To Sir Pentious!" Angel Dust called and everyone drank.

Emily continued. "We have been researching what happened and we have managed a breakthrough. We have created a ritual of ascension. It was determined that this be offered to the staff of the hotel first. You all have earned this right several times over."

Charlie looked around and saw everyone was talking happily among themselves, except Alastor and Vaggie. Alastor spoke up.

"I feel perfectly at home here in hell. I will remain and continue to look after the hotel that saved me from making a terrible mistake. Don't let that dictate the actions for the rest of you. Huskers, Nifty, if you wish to go, I will release you from your Deals."

Both gave him big smiled. Cheri Bomb stepped up on the table. "I think that is a yes from all of us then! We go to Heaven!"

Emily clapped her hands together. "This is so exciting! I'll go and start the preparations. I'll be back in the morning to start the process."

Emily took off right away as Husk pulled down the good booze.

"If this is gonna be our last night, we should live it up! Come one everyone, let's party!"

Several hours and several drinks later, the farewell party was winding down. Cheri Bomb spoke up.

"You think heaven will let us all live together? After five years, I don't know if I could stand to be separated from your guys."

Nifty waved her hand in the air. "Let's make another hotel! One to welcome redeemed souls and give them a place to stay while they get on their feet on the other side."

Angel Dust grinned wickedly. "Good idea, Nift. You've come a long way from the murderous goblin that first moved in here."

She giggled. "Thank you, bad boy! Charlie has been a really big help to me. One questions though… if we all go to heaven together, who is gonna help Alastor run the hotel?"

You could have heard a pin drop. Husk and Angel Dust looked at Charlie who was biting her lip and trying not to cry. "I will, Nifty. The Hazbin Hotel is my project, I can't abandon it just cause most of my friends have moved on."

Vaggie nodded. "You'll still have me too, babe. Heaven cannot buy my forgiveness for what they did to me that easily."

Nifty's smile vanished. "No, you gotta come with us, Charlie and Vaggie! Our family won't be whole without you."

"Nifty… I can't go to Heaven expect to visit." Charlie explained as she fought back the tears.

Nifty was starting to cry now too. "I don't understand, you're the best of us. If we can get in, surely you can too."

"I'm not a Sinner, Nifty. There's no mortal soul to redeem." Charlie could not stop the tears from flowing now. Vaggie grabbed her in a hug. "I'm stuck here, forever."

Nifty jumped into Charlie's arms. "It's not fair!" She wailed as they clung to each other. "I don't want to go if it means leaving you behind."

Angel Dust nodded. "I had forgotten about that too. Heaven without our Princess wouldn't be paradise."

Husk nodded but Charlie looked up in alarm. "No! Guys, you worked so hard for this. To save your souls and get eternal peace. Don't let my circumstances deny you the afterlife you have earned. You're not the Sinners you were when you arrived. Each of you has changed and helped so many. I bet we will have residents here now that will be ready in less than a year to go up. Having you guys there and waiting to help them settle in will be great!"

Husk sighed and poured another drink. "Charlie, we're a family now. Maybe we were in this for ourselves once but that ship sailed years ago."

Angel Dust nodded. "I'd rather stick here with you lot. If they find some way for Charlie to ascend or go to heaven permanently at some point, then we can embrace salvation."

Charlie was sobbing. "You guys…" They all did a group hug.

Cheri Bomb spoke up. "I'll still go. I want to see Pentious again. Besides, you're right, we need someone on the other side to help ease the way in. Besides, they need a tester for this ritual. But you guys had better not get killed for good before I see you again."

The next evening, the ritual was a success and Cheri was gone. Charlie and Vaggie added her picture next to the one for Pentious. The rest of the gang gathered around.

"I don't know if it will ever be possible for our family to be together someday," Charlie smiled at them. "But as long as I have all of you with me, we will be alright."
