"I told you to be quiet."
My hand went around my son's neck, and I picked Chay up off the ground and held him there as I firmly pressed his throat in my hand.
Porsche ran over to me, begging me not to kill his brother.
"Mom, please don't. He will listen from now on."
"Get back before you take the place beside him."
Kinn pulled Porsche back. That's when we heard the biggest, deepest growl.
"Put him down, now.!."
My son's mate was transforming in seconds, and the power radiating off Kim was enormous. Everyone backed away and bowed their heads. Even the elders could not control lowering their heads to Kim and his mate. I had to put my son down, get on my knees, and bow my head to them, too.
"If anyone touches Chay again, you will have to deal with me, and I won't give mercy to anyone."
Kim was looking right at me. He walked over to Chay, picked him up, and carried him away. When they were gone, everyone regained their control. Everyone just looked at each other. Without a word, everyone went their separate ways.
