Kim
The minute Chay's mother started hurting him, I started feeling pain in my heart. So much that I couldn't control my change. My wolf took over. I felt more powerful than ever. I wanted Chay's mother's head on a platter. I never felt this way about anyone before. My father must have been right about our mates giving us power and strength. I know my father will have something to say about all this, but I will not lose my mate at all costs. I took Chay back to our room, the one that was for the two of us. When we made it to our room, Chay was okay. Chay would not let me go. I whispered in his ear.
"It's okay. I'm here now and forever."
Chay didn't move. So we laid down together and held each other.
Chay
I thought my mom was going to kill me. Porsche tried to help, but I was happy Kinn pulled him away. When I realized I was going to black out, something from deep inside vibrated through my body and out. I could feel it. Right before I blacked out, I heard Kim let out a warning growl. When I woke, Kim had me in his arms. I felt warm and safe. I didn't and couldn't let him go. I buried my face into his neck more when he whispered to me. When I wouldn't let go, he laid us on the bed, and that's how we stayed for a long time.
Porsche
"What was that, Kinn?"
"That's what happens when our mates are hurt. We won't stand for it, no matter who it is."
I looked at Kinn and smiled.
"I love you."
"I love you more."
Mr. Korn
"Well, you were right, Namphueng. Kim and Chay just needed a big nudge."
"Let's hope they can make a go of their relationship now."
