Chay

"Chay, can we get some more towels?"

"Sure, Jin. I'll go to the pool room and get some more."

I left to get the towels. I went into the pool room. I just made it to the towels when I felt hands on me. I was turned around and pushed up against the wall.

"Jin, don't."

"Come on, Chay, let's have a little fun."

"Jin, I said no. I have already told you I don't like you that way."

"And if I don't stop?"

"Then I will rip your throat out for you."

I looked behind Jin, and Kim was there with bare teeth, ready to do what he said.

"Kim."

I whisper. Kim didn't take his eyes off Jin. Jin let me go and left. As Jin left, Kim followed him with his eyes and deeply growled at him until Jin was gone. All I could do was stand there and wait for Kim to blame me for what just happened. But when he turned back to me, he was not mad.

"Are you okay?"

I looked up at him and nodded.

"Phee is waiting outside to help with the towels. I'll go."

Without waiting, Kim left.

"Hey, is everything okay, Chay?"

"Yes."

"Here, let me get the towels."

"Okay."

Phee

Chay and I went back to the pool. Everyone got out of the pool and got a towel. We sat at the table, ate, and talked for a while.

"When will we get to meet your soon-to-be?"

"Phee, I don't think..."

"I would, if it's okay with you?"

Kim

I was working with Kinn to get my mind off Chay and all his friends. But the pain in my heart hit me like a ton of bricks. I fell out of my chair. Kinn jumped up.

"Kim is Chay?"

"Yes."

I jumped up and ran. When I reached the pool, I looked around but saw no Chay. I saw the one named Jin was gone, too. One of the guys said something about towels. So, I headed over to the pool room. When I arrived, Jin had Chay pinned to the wall, and Chay kept telling him no, that he didn't like him that way. Then Jin tried to force Chay, and I had enough. When it was over and done, I left because I didn't want Chay to get mad at me. I felt Phee, Chay's friend, coming close, so I knew he would be okay. I hid out of sight and watched Chay walk behind Phee. Chay was looking to see if I was around. I guess he was ensuring I wouldn't bother him and his friends anymore. But he seemed sad now. Chay would smile, but it wasn't ear to ear like before. His friends were with their mates, but he was alone.

"Hey, Chay, when will we meet your mate?"

"I don't think he would like my..."

"I would like to meet your friends if you want me to."

Chay looked at me. He smiled at me and nodded. I walked over to him.

"Can I sit with you?"

Chay nodded and moved over. I sat by Chay, and we all talked for a while. We even got back into the pool. It was getting late, and all of Chay's friends left.

"Good night, Chay."

"Good night, for today."

I smiled at Chay and nodded. Chay turned and went to his room. I still feel like I made no headway with Chay. Later, while I was lying in bed resting. I felt someone enter my room and get on the bed with me. They lay next to me and put their heads on my chest.

"Chay, is everything okay?"

"It will be now."

"Are you okay with me now?"

"I'm getting there."

I put my arm around Chay and pulled him closer to me. He laid his arm over me to hold me back.

"Good night, my love."

"Good night, my one and only."

The End...
