Sup cuties, author here.

I have to do this stupid thing where I tell you I don't own Naruto because somehow my work of FanFiction, that's about one of the worlds arguably top 1% most known anime to have ever existed, on a fanfiction platform, might be mistaken as the real thing, even though we all know damn well I don't own Naruto.

Humans man, I fucking swear.

When someone dies, their soul goes somewhere. It's unknown really what is true in the world regarding religion.

We could all be right because for every version of 'God(s)' that exist could well, exist. Opposite of that, we could all be wrong and the matter of your body simply gets changed as you die, leaving you to just stop... existing.

We can believe and hope, pray and seek knowledge, but until we experience our selves we won't know what actually happens no matter how much we believe a certain thing does.

In this particular case? Well, he's floating through the passage his soul was lead to believe was the right one. Now, no answers will be given to your questions because, who is he, or I, to tell you what's real and what is not?

He is simply following along a path that he couldn't deviate from... normally. See, in this very, rare, beyond all description, event, an outside intervention caused simply by luck, coincidence, chance. Nothing but.

He was knocked from his path. On this path was another soul, one brighter than all those around it, keeping the darkness at bay unlike any of the rest.

These two souls, they were never to meet, not because it would cause some existence ending event, but simply because they were from two different planes of existence in the first place.

They collided, head on, one scared and frightened, one simply so loving, kind, caring, that it simply let the other soul assimilate it. By no means did the bright soul die, it simply became one with this soul that was hurt, scared, dying...

A fusion of two souls, one meant for greatness, one broken from any tethering because it didn't belong here, would cause a change that was never meant to happen.

They merged, becoming one another. The bright soul cleaned through the cycle of samsara, and one taken from that cycle, still ridden with its memories, experiences, its sense of self, became one and the same.

The bright soul took on its appearance, while the darker soul filled it in, until the bright exterior was all that could be seen not revealing its dark hidden inside. Of course, since they were merging and taking on the properties of one another... maybe the darker soul had lightened a shade or three, having some of its hate washed away by the warmth it now possessed.

The now one soul, bound forward to its destination, settling into its body, waiting for its destined core.

Because of this unique existence becoming to be, something happened that shouldn't have but was unseen by any.

It caused a ripple, a budding something in its body, creating more chakra than should be possible, because the spiritual power that was supposed to be singular, had been nearly tripped due to a small life time of strength being added.

A fetus is supposed to have a blank soul, and the rare occasions that they are given a filled one, they can cope because of how malleable they are at such a stage.

Now, what happens when it's strong enough to overwhelm the container because two sources, one having a filled soul? They die, however, this container had a life force that refused to be snuffed out. It held form, drawing on the abundance of chakra around it, building a vessel that would be stronger than any the world had seen.

Let's see, just, what, happens when such a thing occurs, especially when such a powerfully destined being is given even more than should have been.

'Mnghhh... where am I?'

His body felt heavy, yet strong. It also was hard to move, as he was encased in a warm viscous liquid, and a warm rubber substance surrounding him on all sides.

'What...? No, please no.'

He started gaining feeing to his body, getting twitches in response to his wanting of motion, something feeing like jolts of electricity, and something warm like bath water, ran through his entire body.

No matter how hard he tried he couldn't open his eyes. He tried and tried, moving his eyes in different directions trying to part the soft lids he knew encased his small eyeballs.

In his last attempt to disprove his theory, he moved his right arm, agonizingly slow, to touch where his belly button should have been.

'H...how?'

Instead he felt a cord, rubbery, warm, and connected to his stomach... that didn't respond to his touch indicating it didn't have nerves in it.

'Just like, an umbilical cord...'

Fear, anxiety, curiosity, and... excitement rammed through his infantile body. He had no clue what was going on, but he was curiosity was sending wave after wave of anticipation of what might happen if he's born into a babies body.

"Bokuwa... aishitaru... Kushina."

Words that were garbled, dampened by the fluid surrounding him, along with his underdeveloped eardrums too, left only those three words he could make out.

He wanted to see if he could get his mother, the women he was being carried, and given life by, would react to his movement. He tried to turn, sticking his foot against a part that seemed like her stomach.

Not wanting to hurt her, he gave gentle and light kicks, getting what he assumed was a gasp from his mother. He felt a warm compression through the membrane, thinking that was her hand.

He gave a harder kick, just to show he's had felt her. Soon he felt another hand, this one bigger than the other, press down on the stomach.

'Probably this bodies father, so my father I guess.'

This time he placed both feet and pressed, one foot on the smaller, and lighter hand, and one on the bigger and heavier hand, eliciting happy chatter which he still could nearly make out until...

Until he felt something hard, and a little round push onto his foot, before words perfectly clear were pushed through that sent chills through his spine.

"Ohayo, Naruto. Boku wa kimi no otōsan, Minato."

'Shit, shit shitshitSHIT... Kushina... Naruto... Minato. Fuck.'

"Good morning, Naruto. I'm your father, Minato."

Minato had placed his forehead directly onto his son's foot. He's so small, yet already strong enough to move around in his mother's belly when he should still be unable to do so according to Biwako.

He started kicking faster and harder, showing strength and stamina that proved his heritage of Uzumkai, and Senju combined. He reacted to his voice and both of the newly confirmed parents knew it too.

"Isn't this amazing Minato! He already strong enough to kick around, and it's only been ten weeks! Oh I just know he's gonna be the strongest ever dattebane!"

Kushinas' usual embarrassment of her verbal tick was nowhere to be found as she gushed over their baby in a motherly fashion. He looked up to see her face beaming with the widest smile he'd ever seen her give, even bigger than when he asked her to marry him.

He knew his face would look the exact same though if he were to turn and face the mirror on their dresser. He didn't think anything else could possibly be on his face but a smile that trumped every other he's had.

"Mn. The greatest and most splendid Shinobi to have ever been given life."

The stayed there for a long time because Minato had finally found a viable solution to his paper work problem. Seals were the greatest thing he'd ever had the pleasure of studying, well, besides his wife's blessed lower anatomy.

He applied chakra storage seals into a shadow clone, giving it days worth of chakra, allowing him to spend large amounts of time with Kushina. That however wasn't the greatest part he'd developed for paper work.

Shadow clones gave memories back, so if he were to gain days worth of memories on an instant, the problem becomes apparent. To combat this, he asked Inoichi Yamanaka, if he could help him, as the Hokage, develop a memory seal.

He was met with a resounding yes once he told Inoichi what it was for, so long no as the other blonde was allowed to use it for his paper work problems. Again a resounding yes was given.

So, he had set about with Inoichi and completed it, now with being able to filter large amounts of information during nights before he went to sleep. He found no side effects at all, which he thought was his greatest creation.

Paperwork was the one true enemy of the world so far as he was concerned, because not even his flying thunder god, could escape it.

He watched as Kushina caressed her belly, slowly drifting off, hopefully having wonderful dreams of meeting their 'son' soon.

Kushina was adamant it was going to be a boy, no ifs ands, or buts, would change her mind. Since his wife said so, he chose to start believing it would be a baby boy too.

'I will protect you both, with everything I have. Nothing shall come to harm either of you I swear it.'

Once his proclamation was declared in his mind, Minato switched places with a clone so he wouldn't disturb a sleeping Kushina.

He would complete level three of his technique, because no matter what, there was always something that could be unforeseen happening.

Level two was already complete and he was almost done with level three. He already had an inkling to what would be the fourth level but for now he would put that on hold.

He appeared in his work shop furthest from the compound house, where he did his most dangerous testing. He pulled out a kunai, pricked his finger, swiped it across the barrier, and proceeded to walk in.

Once inside, he pulled his notes on the latest failed test, but had given him a huge headway into the project. His goal, was to be able to flash any of his marks, to another one of his marks.

An example would be an enemy Shinobi, being marked, and flashed with Minato having to take him personally, into a barrier that sucks out chakra, or a trap that kills them.

He went through the hand signs for a shadow clone, causing it to pop into existence. He had thought of this training method as soon as he had developed the chakra storage scrolls after getting a good look at Tsunades' seal.

Of course, he can't use it to its max potential like Kushina can, but it still did wonders for speeding up experiments allowing him to get stronger faster.

He then set off to go study his newest rendition of his Hiraishin seal. He would have level three down, long before Kushina gave birth to their son. His next step would be adding a chakra nature to his Rasengan, which he was hopefully going to fly through with his new training method.

"Alrighty. Let's do this."

It had been awhile since he'd found out, if he was gues-timating correctly, about six hours or so. He had fallen asleep so quickly he hadn't even realized he was asleep until he woke back up.

'Gonna have to remember I'm literally a fetus at this point. Maybe I can work on moving more and more daily? I don't know it that'll hurt my body or not... I have to try and get a hold of my chakra, which is arguably far more dangerous. Fuck man.'

'Speaking of,' he wondered, 'how in the fuck am I able to hear and feel? My body is so small, I couldn't even be past the first trimester yet... chakra maybe? But would it affect my body so heavily so early? Damnit. I just don't know enough.'

Anything he did would come with a risk, but he had to do something. Sitting here for so long with nothing to do would drive him insane, and if he remember, from what little he did about the show, Kushina and Minato die because of the nine tailed fox.

He also knew there was a man that becomes kind of the main antagonist later on in the story that controls the fox with his sharingan to break out of Kushinas' seal.

'Bullshit eye powers man.'

He had no fantasies of actually being able to help, but he wanted to do anything he could to try and do, something, anything.

'Cuz' fuck that guy. And then at the end didn't he try and help or something after thousands had died because of him?'

It had been a long time since he'd moved into his new body. If he was right he was nearing the last bit of the second trimester. He guessed because about two days ago he opened his eyes for the first time.

It was completely accidental, yet, it was amazing at the same time. To know what the world looks like, feels like, smells like, tastes like, hears like, and to lose all of that so suddenly is very freaky.

So, gaining back one of the biggest pieces of witnessing the waking world around you, made him happier than he could put into words. By now he was the size of a huge eggplant compared to the blood orange size he was the last time when his little kicks were felt for the first time by the couple.

He figured that it was almost impossible for a human to feel a likely nine to ten week old fetus kicking around, unless... it was a super ninja who could hear a fart from over a hundred feet away because of their juiced up senses made via steroid supplements, aka chakra.

Now he kicked regularly never getting tired of the excitement that Kushina couldn't suppress in the form of a small squeal when he did it; every time he kicked she let out a little shriek of happiness and started rubbing her growing belly.

The good news, was that he had actually made head way into getting a feel for his chakra. Bad news? Well...

Flashback

He had finally calmed his thoughts enough, letting nothing but his inner body be his focus. He felt his mind slowing, processing less and less outside stimuli, looking inwards towards his developing body.

By now he had all ten toes, and all ten fingers fully developed so he could grab his umbilical cord correctly unlike his long ago first attempt.

As such, he felt the liquid-y tufts of hair on his head because he did remember when he had read about it in the manga that you rotate your chakra the same direction as your hair grows, he'd done it in real life because hey, what's a kid to do.

Now, finding which way your hair went as a fetus went as about what you'd expect. Im-fucking-possible. He had spent hours, everyday trying to feel anything.

Nearly seven weeks had gone by before he had felt a substantial give away. The way he had done it was a bit in orthodox but it got the job done.

He had placed the back of his head against Kushinas' stomach and waited for about five minutes. Then he pulled his head back down and placed his palm on his head.

He waited until the hairs started to right themselves into a right wards direction before doing a little jig that got his very happy mother's attention who started to dance while lightly holding her baby bump.

Finding his chakra went without incident because well, he had enough of it that it would have been hard to not find it.

Anyway, now back to the bad news.

Apparently, while you're inside someone's womb, they can feel quite a bit about you, including when you use chakra.

'Who would have guessed, right? God I'm stupid, why wouldn't she have felt it, especially Minato sense he is a sensor from what I remember.'

So what happened, was as soon as the first fluctuation of his chakra occurred, he felt Kushina's chakra, surprise-surprise, he's a sensor, move to her hand.

He then felt a hand, one he recognized as Minato's, get placed on the stomach above him that pulsed a little chakra through Kushina washing over him. It was utterly warm, filled with light, yet carried a dark undertone.

Quickly he felt movement outside as Kushina was walked along with Minato holding her hand, towards what he assumed was a hospital or something.

So he heard the still slightly muffled voices of the people outside, which he had realized was Japanese, a language he did know thankfully, catching a few words.

'Mmm... "chakra"... "wrong"... "Kyuubi"... hurt"... So they think something is wrong with me because of Kurama, huh?'

Safe to say they had stayed there as a greenish colored chakra washed over him repeatedly, hundreds, if not thousands of times, before they got the all clear.

The went home and that was the day he realized he would have to do it while they slept, but Minato was a powerful sensor and one of the greatest Shinobi in the show which meant he would have to do it while Kushina slept alone.

And that was very rarely.

Flashback end

~ Twenty-seven weeks later

As time had gone by, his chakra had grown at a crazy rate. If he were to compare the amount it had gone from a cup,the first time he had moved it, to currently- which was about a Honda civics trunk size in amount.

He could stay awake now for about six hours without falling asleep after 'intense' movements. Really he just flailed around a bunch, making his body work harder.

The most noticeable change however, was his ability to think. Ever since he'd been there he'd felt like he was thinking while being drowsy which although not detrimental , was still uncomfortable. Now, he felt like he had ten milli-vanilli-grams of adderall coursing through his blood constantly.

He could love his chakra faster, he had more precise control of it, long equations were easy to do in short periods of time, his motor functions improved by groves, and he had started to mouth words.

He couldn't say anything has he was still getting air pumped in through the umbilical cord and what not. Additionally he had grown to what he believed was a big baby. Like, pushing fifteen pounds, of fucking baby.

(A.N: Fun fact, I had to be C-sectioned when I was born because I weighed 14.2 damn pounds. I nearly killed my biological mother XD. Oh and that's how I developed asthma, stupid weak ass me. I held the record for three years until some phatass took it from me. Phat baby ass.)

The now pretty tight space was getting really cramped. By now he would have to shuffle around for a couple of minutes at a time to move his body from one side of the womb to another.

After all that we get here, a rushing and frantic Minato, and a very, very, excited Kushina, since her water broke-

'My bad by the way, totally my fault for moving around so much and popping it.'

just moments ago. He could clearly feel her expanding uterus from inside because it was far more squishy and stretchy than normal when he pushed downwards.

So, at this very moment, he was wiggling, and scooting so he was head first, face down, giving Kushina the most optimal birthing condition. Slowly he started to wiggle his head down the narrow chute, that lead to freedom.

By now she had already been rushed to the hidden location they had discussed a week or two ago, with Biwako, who he found out was Hiruzen's wife. That was the old man who was the third Hokage, and quite frankly in his unasked for opinion, stupid as fuck.

While he was musing in his thought he felt the walls of warm flesh around him start shifting. It was slow at first, just soft undulations rubbing against him.

'God, this is fucking absolutely not right! I SHOULD NOT BE NEEDED FOR THIS PART DAMN IT!'

Of course his ranting was only surface level because he was going to be wide awake for what happened next. He would have much preferred to be drugged with as much anesthesia as possible for this next part because he knew babies felt all the pain of having there head pretty much softly caved in.

He braved himself, yet nothing he could have done that day would have prepared him for what was about to happen.

(AN: I refuse to try and describe what being born feels like because no matter what words I have that could describe it, we wouldn't be able to. You see, newborn babies have a relatively advanced 'limbic system' so are likely to experience some form of emotion, but they are not able to place pain into a cognitive framework in the way that adults can. It's like trying to tell a woman, for my guys here, what it feels like to ejaculate. For my ladies if there be any, it's like trying to tell us guys what it's like having an orgasm.

Neither of us will ever understand what the other feels when that happens. We just know it fees undeniably amazing, just like we know having your head effectively caved in, would hurt in ways you would not be able to describe. Now, that being said, this will forever be a traumatic memory for him, as it would be for any normal human, which will be a major reason why he's adverse to having a child.

Sex = yes.

Baby = no, because nobody would want their kid to experience that.
