Chapter six: Earth.

Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha!

A/N: Hope you all enjoy this longer chapter, the training chapters are probably going to run a little longer than the other chapters because I want to get as much detail about the training process as I can.

Recap:

"How did you know that he wasn't being totally honest?" Inuyasha asked.

"It's kinda hard to explain." Kagome sighed with a shrug of her shoulders. "I get this feeling of gross feeling that crawls across my skin every time that someone is being dishonest. I know it doesn't make any sense but that is how I can tell someone is lying or hiding something."

"Would you mind joining me for my meeting from now on?" Inuyasha asked. "I could use that kind of gift with dealing with my people." He watched as Kagome nodded as he brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "Good, I have some paperwork to take care of so it might be a minute before we leave the room."

Kagome nodded again as she walked back to the couch and continued to write in her diary.

*X*

Dear Diary,

I did something stupid, I tried to off myself by ingesting a whole bottle of headache medicine - now Inuyasha won't let me out of his sight. *Sigh* I guess I can't blame him, if it were him that tried to comment suicide, I know I would have a hard time not wanting to check on him constantly. It's weird though, I'm not used to it, having someone to actually care enough for me to want to be there for me and not want harm to come to me at all.

I don't really know why I did what I did other than I'm scared and got overwhelmed. I don't know what I'm doing or what's going to happen next, I wasn't unconscious for long for the fact that, like werewolves, we do heal fast, however, unlike werewolves, things that affect humans also affect us - which is why the bottle of headache pills almost killed me.

God, why did I have to be stupid enough to go and try to kill myself!?

Sango saved me by giving me half of her liver, I can't believe how she could be so kind, so loving for her to do something like that to someone that tried to off herself. I guess that's what true love is between siblings, we did always say if one of us is ready to go the other one was too, I'm glad that instead of her following after me, she fought so hard to live for the both of us.

I sure am lucky, and now that I have a second chance at life, I am going to make the most of it and train as hard as I can to learn how to use my powers and to also keep the evil away.

Speaking of evil, my eyes seem to be in a fight, the colors of purple and brown seem to be fighting with each other for dominance - which kind of scares me because one little wrong thing that I do, and the purple will overpower the brown.

However, once I get the hang of my powers the evil is supposed to be easier to manage, though, this will be a lifetime fight that I'll have to fight back the evil but overtime it'll get easier for me.

The first power I'm learning is Earth Bending, my teacher is going to be Genkotsu, I'm excited to actually start learning how to unleash my true potential. My training is supposed to start any minute so I'm going to get off here.

Yours Truly,

Kagome H.

By the time that Kagome closed her notebook, Inuyasha yawned and stretched before standing up. "I'm hungry, come on, let's go get something to eat." He gruffed out while walking towards the door not waiting for her to answer nor seeing if she would follow him. Kagome sighed as she stood up and jogged to catch up so she could walk side by side with him. She peeked at him at the corner of her eye and saw as his lips pulled into a small smile, it made her feel butterflies erupt in her tummy at the thought that she might be the reason for his smile.

As they made it to the kitchen and made their lunch orders for Kaede to fulfill, Sango and Miroku came into the kitchen to make their own lunch orders.

"What time are we leaving?" Miroku asked Inuyasha.

"Wait, you're still leaving?" Kagome asked feeling frightened of the idea about Inuyasha leaving.

Inuyasha watched as the purple gained more prominence in her eyes, almost taking over the brown. He sighed pulling her in a tight hugged, in which she returned but not without a blush coloring her cheeks. "If there was any way around me not going then I would stay here, unfortunately, I have to go. And you," he said as he pulled away from Kagome but moved his hand from her back to her shoulders, keeping her at an arms distance so he could look pointedly in her eyes as he spoke, "are to behave yourself while I am gone. No more trying to kill yourself. When I come home and you are in good health, you can move back to your room and do your own thing again. I have faith that you'll be just fine." He said to her with a small smile. "In fact, you'll probably be too busy training to even think of doing anything to yourself." He said trying to put some humor into the situation and watched with satisfaction as the purple in her eyes died down some, making the brown and purple even again. He pulled her back to him, moving until his lips were a hairs breath away from Kagome's ear before whispering. "I can't wait to see all you can do when I return."

Kagome cracked a smile as Kaede put their food on the table so they could all eat. Inuyasha pulled away from her before pulling out her seat so she could sit down, he then took his own seat.

"We will be leaving right after we eat." Inuyasha told Miroku before he started eating, Miroku didn't answer he just nodded as his mouth was already full when Inuyasha spoke.

Once everyone was done eating Inuyasha pulled his phone out and made a call. "Come to the kitchen." He said before hanging up. He then turned to look at Kagome before giving her a small box that had a picture of a smart phone on it. "It's already all set up, you can add games and whatever else you would like to add on it, my number is programmed in it."

"Thank you." Kagome said, she always wanted a nice phone like this but never could afford one. She looked up and saw as Miroku handed Sango a phone as well. She felt kind of stupid because she had the sudden urge to cry over a phone, but she was able to hold them back.

"Call me if you need anything or if something happens." Inuyasha instructed before giving her a peck on the forehead making her smile at him.

A few moments later Genkotsu walked into the kitchen.

"Gen, we are leaving so you can start on your training Miss. Kagome." Inuyasha instructed as he straightened out his suit. "Come on, Miroku, it's time to go." He said before standing up from his chair then pulling Kagome up by her hand, surprising her by pulling her in a tight hug and giving her a kiss to the temple. "Please don't do anything stupid while I'm gone." He whispered in her ear before pulling away and looking deep in her eyes, he saw as the purple was all but gone in her eyes as she said.

"I won't."

Giving Kagome his half-smile that almost had her week at the knees, Inuyasha gave her a nod before turning around and leaving the kitchen with Miroku in tow.

"Gash." Genkotsu huffed out. "Are you ready to start your training, Miss. Kagome."

"After your training we will meditate and maybe do some yuga after." Jakotsu said.

Kagome let a small smile curl her lips as she nodded. "Let's get to work."

*X*

From where he was patrolling, Renkotsu saw when Kagome, Sango, Bankotsu, Genkotsu, Jakotsu and a few other guards enter the arena that they had in the back yard for practicing purposes. The arena was made for every power known to mankind and was used by everyone that lived in the palace for keeping their gifts sharp, even the yellows were found in there often - practicing their hand-to-hand combat. Once he saw everyone enter the arena, with two men standing guard by the arena doors to make sure no one entered that wasn't supposed to, he knew that the guard duty on the inside would be slim because of everyone trying to keep the princess safe. And to top it off as being the perfect time to take action, Prince Inuyasha wasn't here to put a damper on their plans. Pulling his phone out of his pocket and making a quick call, he placed the phone to his ear.

"Coast is clear." Renkotsu said before hanging up. A few moments later he saw Kikyo and Naraku emerge from the trees that surrounded the castle and jerked his chin toward the castle telling them to follow him, he didn't bother to see if they followed him or not as he walked into the entrance leading into the kitchen. When he heard them enter the kitchen he slunk against the wall, with the other two following suit, he slowly made his way to the opening that led into the living room before barely peeking into the other room, then motioning them to follow him.

Kikyo and Naraku followed him, walking to stand in front of an old-style fireplace.

"Um, why are you standing in front of a fireplace?" Kikyo asked confused. "It's not even cold outside." The only answer she received was a glare from the man in question before he looked back towards the fireplace as he raised his hand to press a hidden button causing the fireplace to groan and creek as it moved to reveal a hidden passageway. They all walked inside of the passage, barely even noticing as the fireplace groaned once again as it closed behind them. They walked for about ten minutes before Renkotsu stopped before reaching up to move a small flap away from the wall then looked through two small holes that had been drilled into the wall, he then reached up to one of the many torches that were affixed on the wall then, in one quick motion, jerked it down to engage the door mechanism causing another secret passageway to open up into a huge bedroom.

"This is Kagome's room." Renkotsu said as they stepped in the room. "You should hide in here in case someone should come in here to clean it or whatever, I have to get back to my post." He said before turning on his heel and leaving the room, closing the secret passageway behind him.

"Ugh!" Kikyo scoffed. "Look at this!" She shrieked as she went about the spacious room looking at all the furniture and other things around the room. "This should all be mine! That bitch stole my man away from me!"

"Shut up, Kikyo, before someone hears you!" Naraku sneered as he tried to find a suitable place to hide.

Rolling her eyes, Kikyo didn't say anything else as she, too, search for some place to hide. As she hid behind the curtain that was a few inches away from the window, leaving just enough space for her to hide behind and not have anyone notice she was there. She let out a sigh as she got settled to wait for however long for the woman that they were there for to show back up. 'Just wait, Inu-baby,' Kikyo thought as she looked out the window that overlooked the beautiful garden, 'once this retched woman is gone, no one will be in the way of our love.' She sat on the jutted-out windowsill as she thought about all the times that Inuyasha and her had shared together, admittedly, all the times spent together was spent between the sheets - Inuyasha had never really been the type to go out to movie and dinner dates, it was always right to the point to him, sometimes she wished that he would've been a little more romantic but never turned the opportunity to spend any time that she could with him down.

Naraku walked into the bathroom and walked into the bathroom closet before closing the door behind him effectively hiding him away from prying eyes. This bitch wouldn't get away with this, for that, he was sure! No one ever lived after they dared to ridicule him like that!

*X*

Walking into the arena, Kagome looked around at all the training equipment, there were equipment for every power she could think off! Genkotsu headed for the area that was designed for earth benders, Kagome got a little excited and nervous as butterflies erupted in the pit of her stomach at the thought of finally learning how to use her powers. Excited because she wanted to feel needed for the first time in her entire life, nervous because she was still afraid that she wouldn't be able to master her powers and she would let everyone down. She pushed down her nervousness and vowed to do everything she could do to make everyone proud of her.

Genkotsu turned around to face Kagome before speaking. "Earth is a very stubborn element, not very easily moved to molded to one's whim." He started as he did a demonstration of punching a huge boulder and sending it flying several yards away, staring at the bolder in awe, Kagome couldn't wait to be able to do that. Seeing her awed expression on her face Genkotsu smiled a small genuine smile as he walked to stand in front of her. "Don't worry, young one, you will soon be able to do whatever you want or need to do the earth around you." He said as he fondly ruffled her hair causing Kagome to let a large smile stretch across her face as she watched him stomp on the ground producing a boulder that looked to be so tiny compared to the one that he had just sent flying. "Show me what we are working with and move this boulder."

Kagome's smile grew smaller, though didn't completely leave her face as she took a deep breath, "okay," she said with a nod before squaring up with the boulder, rolling her shoulders and pushing with all her might against the big rock. Disappointment rushed through Kagome's veins as a pout developed on her face.

Genkotsu let a small chuckle leave his throat as he ruffled Kagome's hair once more. "It's okay, young one, you're still learning and like I said earth is a very stubborn element." He said as he moved to stand right beside her. "Your form is off." He said as he moved his feet shoulder width apart and knees slightly bent, his elbows bent at ninety-degree angles with his hands in fists and the back of his hands facing towards the earth. "Stand in this form here." He said and watched as Kagome studied his form, a small smile gracing his lips as her tongue stuck out in concentration as she moved to match his form perfectly. "Good. Now, close your eyes while breathing in and out slowly." He instructed and watched as she did as he said. "With your eyes still closed, reach out and touch the rock, feel and become one with the it. Once you feel you have a hold on it, push it away from you."

Kagome breathed in deeply and let it out slowly before breathing deeply once again, she repeated the process several times before reaching out with both hands, feeling the rock as her fingertips ran against the hard surface before flattening her palms flush against the boulder still moving her hands slowly along the rock with a deep look of concentration etched on her face. She could feel it, like really feel it, in a way she never felt it before. She could even see everything the rock was made of in her mind's eye, all the minerals, atoms, everything that was a part of the rock she could feel and see. "I can see it." She whispered under her breath, afraid that if she talked any louder, she would lose the connection she had with the boulder.

"Good. Now, move it." Genkotsu ordered gently. "Remember to keep breathing."

Kagome took a deep breath before she put force on the rock as she tried to push it. She didn't know if she was or not, she was trying to focus on her breathing and her connection to the boulder. After a few seconds every muscle in her body started to grow tired and tender making her gasp and the connection to break. Kagome opened her eyes panting as sweat poured down her face, she looked at Genkotsu. "Did I move it?"

"It was very good for your first try, you shook the dirt off the rock." Genkotsu said with a proud smile on his face, though Kagome didn't feel very proud of herself as a deep frown colored her face.

"Just the dirt?" Kagome asked exasperated as tears pricked the corners of her eyes, she put her everything in it to move the boulder and yet it didn't move an inch, just some dust shook off of it!? She felt so worn down for something so small to have happened.

"Don't be discouraged, young one, I've trained earth benders that's taken months to do what you just did on your first try." Genkotsu said with a fond smile and another ruffle of Kagome's hair. "Don't tell them you did that though; it might make them jealous." He said with a chuckle and a wink causing Kagome to smile ear to ear at the compliment. "Do you want to try again?" He asked tilting his head toward the rock.

Kagome tried a few more times but received the same outcome of just the dirt moving off the boulder. After the third time trying, she was drenching in sweat, panting so hard she was afraid she'd never catch her breath and so tired that she felt like she could sleep right through the week!

Seeing that she was spent for the day, Genkotsu ruffled Kagome's hair once more and smiled down at her. "You did good, young one, now go get cleaned up and get some rest."

"Thanks, Genkotsu." Kagome said with a smile before turning around to exit the arena, with everyone that came to watch following her out.

"Whoo, that sure was harder than I thought." Kagome said wiping her forehead with the back of her hand. "I think I can sleep for a whole week and not get up once!"

Everyone around her chuckled as they walked back into the castle. They gathered in the kitchen, ate lunch and talked to each other for a few minutes.

Once they all got done eating, Jakotsu turned Kagome towards him so he could look into her eyes - he saw as the extreme tiredness was making the purple in her eyes more dominate than the brown.

Kagome saw the concern in Jakotsu's eyes and grew a little anxious making the purple in her eyes grow some. "What is it? What's wrong, Jakotsu?"

Jakotsu didn't want her to scare her, so he let a small grace his lips. "Do you want to do a meditating session?" He asked, hoping beyond hope that she'd say yes.

Kagome smiled and gave him a slight nod, unknown to everyone around her, she could feel herself losing her grip on the control she had on the evil. "I think that's a great idea." She said with a bright smile causing a relief smile to stretch on Jakotsu's face as he stood up from the bar they were sitting at.

"Okay, let's go." Jakotsu said as he led her to a room that she's never been in before, it was a room filled with all kinds of exercising machines, a T.V. in the corner, a mini bar off to the side of the room and an area that look to be specifically for relaxing and meditating. She would need to ask Jakotsu to bring her here more often so she could work out and get her stamina up.

Kagome watched as Jakotsu put what looked like white bowls all around him before placing a thick rounded stick in one of the bowls, he then laid out two mats on the floor with one being positioned right where the bowls were, he walked over to a boom box that was a few feet away from them and turned it on - soft noise started to fill the room making it feel like they were in a rain forest rather than an exercising room. She watched him walk to the mat that was stationed by the white bowls before sitting down and crossing his legs so that one of them rested on top of the other.

"Sit like this." He said gently as he watched Kagome move her sore muscles with a slight wince as she got into the right position. Nodding in satisfaction he then moved his middle finger to touch his thumb before resting them, palm up, on his lap. "Now, hold your hands like this." He instructed and watched as she moved her hands to match Jakotsu's. "Close your eyes." As Kagome closed her eyes, he took the mallet out of his singing bowl before hitting one of the bowls lightly before swirling it around the bowl letting the sound reverberate throughout the room as well as calming the soul. "Breathe in deep and let it out slowly, calculate your breathing - focus on the rhythm of your breaths." He said as he lightly hit a different bowl before swirling the mallet inside of it. "Oomm." Jakotsu hummed and Kagome felt her muscles start to loosen as she started to relax and lose herself in the soft sound in the background and the sound of Jakotsu rhythmically hit the set of bowls sitting in front of him as well of his soft hums and before she knew it, it was only her, but she was no longer sitting in the room, she was standing in a rain forest. She let out a small gasp as she took in all the colors and the chirping birds that flew over her head, she looked around taking in the scene around her with a small smile on her face.

After a few minutes later, the scene started to disappear as Jakotsu turned the radio off effectively releasing Kagome out of the serene scene around her. Kagome opened her eyes, blinking them a few times repeatedly before gracing Jakotsu with a wide smile.

"Wow, I feel so much better and not as tired anymore." Kagome said with a smile.

Jakotsu had a smile on his own face as he reached down, grabbing Kagome's hand as he helped her up. "Come, we are not done yet." He said as he led her to a massaging table and told her to lie down on it.

Once she was comfortable lying on her back she watched as Jakotsu brought out small silver metal poles that had two prongs on each of them, she didn't know what they were, but they came in different sizes.

"These are tuning forks; they are used for healing. I can only imagine how your muscles feel after trying to move that boulder." Jakotsu explained as he picked one up as well as a small mallet. He hit the mallet against the prongs causing them to shake, he then moved the tuning fork just inches away from her body before grabbing a different one then doing the same thing. He then grabbed a third one before hitting it with the mallet and then gently lying the butt of it right between her eyebrows for a few seconds before taking it away and hitting it again before running it over her body.

Kagome had to admit she whatever Jakotsu was doing was making her feel so much better than what she was just moments ago. He then instructed her to turn over and lift her shirt to expose her back, once she did as she was told Jakotsu took out some heating rocks that were kept in a warmer and placed them on her back along her spine. She sighed in bliss as she fully relaxed against the table as she closed her eyes.

A few moments later, Jakotsu removed the heating stones before telling her she could get up.

"Thank you so much, Jakotsu, I really appreciate all you've done for me today. I feel so much better." Kagome said with a wide smile.

"You're welcome." Jakotsu said with his own wide smile curling his lips.

"Well, I'm going to take a shower, I feel all sweaty and gross." Kagome said with a chuckle as she went to leave the room with Jakotsu in tow.

Jakotsu watched as Kagome walked into her room as he took post outside her door. A few minutes later, he heard a huge crash coming from inside her bedroom. Jumping into action, he pushed an emergency button on his phone that would send a 911 signal to every one of the guard's phone.

*X*

Kagome walked into the room before walking in her walk-in closet looking for some comfy clothes. Settling on some light grey sweatpants and a black spaghetti strap shirt then walked toward the built in bathroom. She placed the clothes on the sink counter before turning towards the closet opening it to grab a towel, however, what she found inside the closet made her blood turn cold. Taking several steps back she ran into a soft warm object, quickly turning around to stare in horror as she saw Kikyo standing there. She saw as Naraku and Kikyo moved toward her at the same time before jumping at her together.

Naraku saw Kagome open her mouth to scream but effectively stopped it by wrapping his hand around her neck and slammed her against the wall causing her head to hit the wall making her momentarily see in double vision. She blinked several times repeatedly as she tried to clear her vision as she desperately tried to get the man's hand off her throat so she could breathe. He moved his body until it was flush against the woman in front of him as his hand tightened some around the woman's throat.

"I'll give you one of two choices, bitch." Naraku hissed through his teeth as he loosened his hand around Kagome's throat allowing her to breathe, he didn't want her to pass out yet. "One: you come back with me and be my personal sex slave. Option number two: you refuse to come back to me, and I'll kill your sister."

Kagome's eyes widened and her heart threatened to escape her rib cage in total utter fear.

Naraku watched as the purple swirling in her eyes became more and more dominant the longer they interacted, until no brown was left. He watched as the terrified expression on her face turned into an evil smirk. "And I am going to give you one of two options, Naraku. Option one:" she said in a voice not of her own as she roughly slapped Naraku's hand away from her neck, "you leave and never return, and we forget this incident ever happened. Option two: you don't leave, and I'll be force to kill the both of you."

Naraku took a few steps back as a snarl twisted his face. "I will teach you your place, bitch!" He hissed as he started towards Kagome once again before being stopped by Kikyo who had stopped him with her hand on his arm. He looked at her hand with a disgusted look before angrily swatting her hand away. "Shut the fuck up! I will not sit back as this bitch tries to humiliate me!" He shouted, quiet enough that the guard standing outside the bedroom door didn't hear.

Kagome snorted with amusement swimming in her bright purple eyes. "You teach me my place?" She laughed out loud, not caring if she got too loud. "As if, you couldn't touch me with your pointer finger before I break every bone in your worthless body!" She snarled. "And as far as humiliating you, no, you do that well enough on your own."

Naraku did an inhuman growl and went to use his power to throw Kagome into the wall, however, before he could do this - she reached out grabbing a hold on his wrist with inhuman strength as she then set her hand on fire, giving him third degree burns on his wrist. He hissed in pain as he finally got his wrist free with a quick jerk. "You fucking bitch!" He screeched as he charged her once again, however, he didn't get far before she sent him flying back crashing into the wall behind him using his own power against him.

Kikyo stood there shocked as she stared at Kagome.

Kagome sent Kikyo a smirked as she cocked an eyebrow. "You wanna take a try at me, or did you learn your lesson last time?"

Kikyo developed a scowl as she heard the bedroom door swing open, she sent a panic look towards the man charging at them at that moment. She then shot Kagome a murderous look as she gnashed her teeth. "Get the fuck out of my head, bitch!" She yelled as Jakotsu tackled her to the ground as the other men came running in, however, Naraku seemed to have disappeared.

Jakotsu had bound Kikyo's wrists before handing her over to another guard with orders to take her straight to the castle jail. He then turned to look at Kagome with caution. "Hi, Miss. Kagome, it's me Jakotsu." He said with a low voice as he walked towards her, he spotted the nasty bruise forming on her neck and winced. "Shit, Prince Inuyasha is not gonna like that."

Kagome cocked her head to the side as her eyes narrowed, a sly smile on her face as she slowly walked towards the man that she knew liked men. Once she was in touching distance of him, she reached out her hand and ran it along his chest, across his shoulder to his back as she walked behind him to embrace him from behind. "Mmm, Jakotsu, you know, I never knew how cute you really are. You sure you're only into men, or do I have a chance at you?"

"Uh," Jakotsu said uncomfortably as he swallowed hard, really wanting desperately to get out of this mess he got himself into. "Miss. Kagome, Inuyasha wouldn't like this very much, and besides, I am only into men, and you are making me feel incredibly uncomfortable, so please stop."

"Forget about Inuyasha, I'll deal with him later, and as for you being into men, I think I can change your mind." Kagome said as she took her shirt off leaving her bare in front of the man.

Jakotsu immediately covered his eyes as he thought that he was a dead man, even though he was gay.

"You know, you don't have to be so shy." Kagome said with a dark giggle. "You can look if you want."

Jakotsu didn't say anything as he tried to think of something to do. He knew he couldn't call anyone else in here, they were straight and were as good as dead if they saw Kagome in her current state. He then had an idea, he grabbed his phone out of his pocket and peeked just enough to dial Inuyasha's number, however, before he pressed the call button Mukotsu walked in to tell Jakotsu that Kikyo was secured behind bars.

"Woah!" Mukotsu shouted as he too covered his eyes in fear of the prince's wrath should he find out that he saw his woman like this.

"Out!" Jakotsu roared sending a fierce glare at the short man. "And if you want to keep your life, I suggest on not saying shit about this to anyone!" He yelled as he pressed the green button still staring at Mukotsu's retreating form.

"Aw, boo, you're no fun. We could've had a really good time with him." Kagome fake pouted at Jakotsu.

Jakotsu didn't reply as he waited for Inuyasha to pick up the phone. "Um, sir, we have a slight problem." He muttered still hiding his eyes behind his hand. "No, Kagome is fine, more or less." He reassured. "No, she didn't hurt herself, Naraku and Kikyo snuck in and attacked her." He paused, most likely listening to what Inuyasha was saying. "They somehow got in her room while we were in the arena training, most of the guards were out there to make sure no one got to her while out there and I guess they snuck in while there were'nt that many guards in the castle." He said as he slightly shook at the tone of Prince Inuyasha's voice, when the prince got like this it usually means someone will end up very much hurt or fired or both. "Sir, I promise you, she's fine, but does have a bruise on her neck. No need to cancel your trip, we got Kikyo locked up in the castle's jail, but Naraku got away. I swear I won't let anything else happen to her, you have my word." He stopped again. "Yes, you do need to speak with her because she lost control and is now stuck in the evil version of herself." He listened for a few minutes before saying okay and taking the phone away from his ear then pressing the button to put it on speaker. "You're on speaker now."

"Kagome?" Inuyasha called out.

"Mmm, yes?" Kagome purred as she brought her hand up and began running it over her breast and nipple, which Jakotsu didn't see since his eyes were still covered.

"Won't you please come back to me?" He asked, his voice low but had the obvious command to it.

"Do you wanna know what I'm wear, Prince Inuyasha?" Kagome asked seductively as she continued to run her hand over her breast before moving her hand lower to the jeans she was wearing.

"No, I don't care what you are wearing right now, let my Kagome come back at once!" Inuyasha ordered.

"Hmm, I think I can get Jakotsu to care. How much do you wanna bet me I can make him straight?" Kagome purred as she unbuttoned her jeans.

Jakotsu cleared his throat. "Yeah, not happening anytime soon." He muttered under his breath.

"Well, my prince, my shirt is already off, and my jeans are now unbuttoned, do you think I can turn on the gay man?" Kagome challenged as she unzipped her jeans.

"Kagome," Inuyasha said with every ounce of emotion is his voice, "please, come back to me."

Kagome released a gasp as she staggered backwards. "No."

"Yes, Kagome, please fight a little harder for me." Inuyasha cheered her on.

Kagome clutched her hands in her hair as she closed her eyes and took several deep breathes, when she opened them, she looked in the mirror pleased to see that she had her new normal eyes back, the purple and brown - an even match against each other. Another thing she noticed was that she was topless, she looked behind her at Jakotsu, who was still hiding his eyes, and let out an embarrassed shriek.

"Now, please, put your clothes back on before I have to kill Jak." Inuyasha ordered.

"Okay." Kagome quietly said.

"I'll call you when we get to our destination. Jak, I expect you to make sure Kagome is okay, and from now on you are to enter her room ahead of her to make sure the coast is clear before she is allowed to enter." He said before hanging up.

"Um, you can look now." Kagome whispered, her face red in embarrassment.

Jakotsu sighed in relief as he looked at her.

"Jakie, I-" Kagome started but Jakotsu interrupted her.

"Please, there is no need for an apology. I know that wasn't you that was doing all that, so no harm done, okay?" Jakotsu said with his normal friendly smile on his face.

Kagome let a relief smile spread on her face as she hugged Jakotsu, her smile grew wider as she felt him hug her back. "I'm still sorry."

"It's okay Kags." He said giving her, her very first nickname she's ever had.

Kagome pulled away from him enough to be able to look him in the eye. "Thank you, Jakie." She gave him a smile. "I am going to take a shower now, I'll let you know if I need anything."

Jakotsu nodded before turning around and exiting her room as he made another call, but this one was to set up the search squad to find Naraku.

Kagome sighed as she got the temp to the water how she liked it before stripping down and stepping in the shower. Once her shower was finished, she sat down to write in her diary.

They had been on the road for about two and a half hours when Inuyasha started to get a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach that he tried to ignore by going through his emails and playing games on his phone, but no matter what he did - he couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was either happening or about to happen.

"Is everything okay man?" Miroku asked, noticing that Inuyasha seemed to be more anxious than normal.

"Huh?" Inuyasha asked focusing on Miroku. "Oh, uh, just can't shake this bad feeling I have." He admitted.

Miroku's eyebrows knit together in worry, Inuyasha's feelings usually aren't wrong - so if he's feeling off then something was most definitely going to happen, and he hoped that it wouldn't be too bad. He let out a sigh as Inuyasha fished his phone out of his jeans pocket but before he could do anything the phone rang, Inuyasha looked up at Miroku with a worried expression on his face.

"It's Jak." Inuyasha said as he sucked in a breath, he pressed the answering button before putting it up against his ear.

"Hello?" Inuyasha answered feeling a little more than anxious then listened as Jakotsu talked. "What happened? Is Kagome alright?" He asked sitting up straighter with Miroku mirroring his position. "What the fuck do you mean 'more or less'? Did she try to hurt herself again?" He shouted in the phone, he had so many thoughts going around in his head, his heart felt like it dropped into his gut, and he could hear the blood pounding in his ears and the thought of anything happening to Kagome. "Naraku and Kikyo? How did they even get to her!? Where were you!? I'm turning around and coming home right now!" He roared in the phone highly pissed off at the fact that they let those bastards get to his Kagome and now she's hurt. As he listened to what Jakotsu had to say, Miroku watched as Inuyasha calmed down and his tight shoulders relaxed some as he sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes. "Jakotsu, are you sure you got this? Because if you don't, I swear that when I get home, and Kagome is hurt your ass will be grass. I want a team of men to go search for Naraku!" Inuyasha listened for a few seconds before sighing and telling Jakotsu to put his phone on speaker.

Miroku listened as Inuyasha coaxed Kagome to come back over to the good side for a few minutes before hanging up with a sigh.

"Everything okay?" Miroku asked with a raised eyebrow, he only heard half the conversation and wanted to be prepared for whatever was going to be waiting for them when they got home.

Inuyasha sighed as he slunk back against the seat feeling utterly defeated right now. "While Kagome was training in the arena today, Naraku and Kikyo snuck in her room somehow and attacked Kagome and now she has a fucking bruise around her neck!"

"Is she okay?" Miroku asked feeling concerned as he worried about the woman he considered a little sister.

"She is now, she lost control on her evil half, and I had to help her come back. I smell a rat within my fucking walls!" Inuyasha said before he let out an inhuman growl as he watched as Miroku nod in agreement but didn't add anything to that conversation. "When we get home, I might have to burn out Jak's eyes."

Miroku let out a chuckle. "Why?"

"Because apparently Kagome's evil side is a fucking flirt and tried to get Jak to sleep with her. She took her shirt off and stood topless in front of him and tried to get him to go straight for her." Inuyasha said with a snarl on his etched on his face.

Miroku couldn't help it as he doubled over in body shaking laughter that died down a few moments later, he sat up and wiped a tear away from his eye as he looked at Inuyasha who wore a somewhat amused look on his face. "Jak might actually want his eyes burnt out of his head." He said with more laughter. "I don't think he ever wanted to see a woman like that in his life."

Inuyasha let out a chuckle before he looked out the window. "Yeah, you might be right." The rest of the car ride was made in silence as they were both consumed with their thoughts.

Dear Diary,

Prince Inuyasha left on his trip today and I already miss him, which I know is crazy, I shouldn't be missing anyone. I'm thinking about talking to someone about everything I've been through, you think Jakotsu will be a good therapist? Lol, I'm just joking, but seriously need to find someone to talk to - maybe I can talk to the castle doctor to see if he could recommend someone for me.

I started my training today, I could only move dust - Genkotsu said that I did really good, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed in myself - I know I can do better, I will do better! I won't let anyone down; I will win with whatever evil wants to throw and me, my sister and my friends.

Friends? Do I really see them as friends now? Would they even want to be friends with me? I doubt Jakie wants to be my friend after what I did to him, I feel so embarrassed and can't believe my evil side would do that!

But anyway, I guess, according to Genkotsu, I'm doing really well with training. He said that I can already do what other earth benders couldn't do for months when they first started, which is good? *Sigh* But man, it sure does make me a sweaty exhausted mess when training for the day is over! And my muscles hurt so bad! I hate feeling sweaty and dirty and in pain, but Jakie helped me with meditation and some healing forks. It helped me so much and made me feel a lot better, but I couldn't stand the feeling of being dirty, so I came into my room to take a shower but was attacked by Kikyo and Naraku, somehow they got into my room sometime while I was training. I don't know when or how they got in here but what if we have a double crosser here? Is that crazy to think that? Maybe, but I can't help it, I can't shake the feeling that someone here wants me gone - but why? I haven't done anything to anyone here, who could hate me so much that they would want to hurt me?

I don't know, however, I'm too exhausted to think about this any longer tonight so I'm going to sleep, talk to you later.

Yours Truly,

Kagome H.

Kagome wasn't surprised when she woke up in complete darkness, after what happened today, she knew it was coming. She waited for the orb to show up and show her everything she did while the darkness had a hold of her, like all the other times, she didn't remember at all what happened - she wasn't all entirely sure if she even wanted to know since when she came too, she was topless standing in front of Jakotsu.

She didn't have to wait long before the orb showed up, illuminating some of the darkness.

Kagome, the darkness is getting stronger, making you do more things that you normally wouldn't do." The whispered voice said.

"I don't think I want to know what I did." Kagome admitted, scared that she did something completely unforgivable. However, the orb didn't listen as it lit up a place and let the film play of everything she did.

Kagome was forced to watch as she threw Naraku back and watched as she tormented Kikyo with images of Kagome and Inuyasha being intimate with one another, and just doing other lovey dovey thing with each other. She watched as Jakotsu ran in before tackling Kikyo to the ground and arresting her, she noticed that Naraku was no longer there. She watched as Jakotsu ordered the other men to take her to the castle's jail before turning toward her and tried to coax her back to the good side. She watched as Jakotsu took his phone out dialing a number as Mukotsu ran in making Jakotsu yell at him before pressing the call button and talking to Inuyasha. He then put the phone on speaker for Inuyasha to talk to her making her come back to the good side.

The screen went dark once again as Kagome focused back on the orb feeling utterly embarrassed at what she did.

"The evil gets stronger every time you let it come out, it'll start doing different things each and every time, it'll stay out longer and longer each time until you are no longer able to come back out." The orb explained. "You have to learn how to keep it locked up."

The sound of Kagome's phone ringing woke her up ending the dream as she reached over and grabbed her phone.

"Hello?" Kagome answered in a heavy sleepy voice.

"I'm sorry." Inuyasha apologized in his low smooth voice. "Did I wake you?"

Kagome sat up rubbing her eye with her free hand. "'Nasha?" She asked, sleep still evident in her voice.

Inuyasha's quiet chuckle did weird things to her tummy. "Are you expecting someone else to call you?" He teased.

"No." She answered as she looked at the clock on her nightstand. "It's five am, I was sleeping and not expecting anyone to call me!" She said as she ran her hand through her tangled hair. "Why are you calling me this early?"

"I did say that I would call you when I got to where I was going, remember?" Inuyasha said with a chuckle.

"Yes, I do remember, I just didn't think it'd be this early!" Kagome complained.

"How are you feeling?" Inuyasha asked ignoring Kagome's complaining with a smile on his face. He was happy that Kagome was feeling comfortable enough to complain at him and he was for sure not going to say or do anything to jeopardize her comfortability towards him.

"I'm doing okay, maybe a little sore and tired but not too bad." She said as she stretched out her body before getting up and walking to the bathroom. "I have to pee now, so if you don't wanna hear it I suggest either getting off or putting the phone down for a little bit." She said a teasing tone that made Inuyasha chuckle again.

"I'm going to take a short nap before my meeting, call me after your training." Inuyasha said.

"Okay, have a good rest." She said quietly. "Bye."

"Thank you, you have a good day. Bye." Inuyasha said before hanging up.

Kagome sighed as she put her phone on the sink counter before using the restroom and brushing her hair and teeth. Knowing she couldn't go back to sleep, she decided to explore all the features her phone had to offer and after downloading a few games, she spent the time waiting on everyone to wake up playing those games. She was super grateful that Inuyasha had given her this phone, she absolutely loved it.

At seven am, Kagome deemed that a respectable time to go wake up her sister, she was getting bored of the games and needed human interaction and something in her rumbling tummy. She stretched one more time before getting up and opening up her bedroom door and poking her head out to see who was on guard duty.

"Good morning, Miss. Kagome." Suikotsu said with a small smile. "What can I do for you?"

"Good morning, Mr. Suikotsu, I was wondering if you could take me to see my sister then taking us down to eat some breakfast, I'm starved." Kagome answered with a small smile of her own.

Nodding in agreement, Suikotsu started walking down the hall towards Sango's room with Kagome following behind him. They walked in silents as they turned the corner to go down the hall her sister's room was in. They saw Mukotsu standing guard outside of Sango's room with his bottle of poison at ready should it be needed.

"Morning Mukotsu, Miss. Kagome wanted to visit with Sango and go to breakfast with her." Suikotsu greeted.

Mukotsu nodded. "Morning." He said tilting his head to the door giving Kagome permission to knock on the door.

Soon both girls were on their way to the kitchen with their guards following behind them.

"What would you girls like to eat this morning?" Kaede asked as she smiled warmly at Kagome and Sango then getting to work once she got the orders.

Before Kagome knew it she was standing in the arena facing the same boulder as yesterday with the same objective, move it. She heaved out a sigh as she got into the right stance, she placed her hands on the rock and closed her eyes as she concentrated on her connection with the rock. She saw all the dust and cracks that littered the rock, she didn't see that yesterday, so she felt accomplished about that, she saw all the atoms and minerals that made up the rock.

"Don't forget to breathe." Genkotsu gently ordered.

Kagome sucked in a deep even breath before letting it out as she dug her feet into the ground before pushing on the boulder, however, she got the same result as she did yesterday by only moving the dirt that was on it.

"Feel the power that coming from your core and push it through your arms and out your hands." Genkotsu said quietly as Kagome still tried to push on the boulder. "Search deep, you'll be able to see it."

Kagome concentrated deep within herself until she saw a bunch of different colored orbs that made up all the colors of the powers, she focused on the green orb a forced the power within to release out into her arms and out her hands. She felt it move but only a little until she let out a gust of air and lost the connection. She was covered in sweat and panting hard trying to catch her breath.

"You're doing a fantastic job, young one." Genkotsu beamed.

"Thanks, but I barely did anything, certainly nothing to be praised over." Kagome said feeling dejected because she couldn't move it very far without losing her breath.

"Don't be discouraged, it took me a whole month just to even find the connection I needed to even think about moving a pebble let alone a boulder." Genkotsu said with a smile.

"You're just saying that." Kagome said returning his smile.

Genkotsu didn't say anything, only lauged as he tilted his head toward the boulder. "You ready to try it again?"

Kagome did a determined nod as she rubbed her hands together before placing them back on the rock and closing her eyes, she was able to move it again, but only the same distance as the first time before she lost her breath and her connection once again.

"Now that you have your connection mastered, it'll only get easier as the time goes on. Once you're able to move this boulder from this end to the other end of the arena we can move on to learning how to make boulders and other things out of the earth." Genkotsu said. "Try again."

Kagome nodded and tried five more times to move the rock but, ultimately, wasn't able to move it very far. Overly exhausted, Kagome threw in the towel and said that she couldn't do anymore today. Walking to the exercising room with Jakotsu, she watched as he laid out two mats on the floor before standing on one while pointing to the other silently telling her to follow suit.

"Today, we are going to do some yoga." Jakotsu said as he started to stretch and watched as Kagome did the same stretch.

They spent the next hour doing yoga then moved on to the healing forks and heating rocks, Jakotsu even gave her a massage to finish loosening up her muscles. Once he was done, Kagome and Jakotsu walked back to her room, however, before she was allowed inside, Jakotsu did a quick sweep of the room before telling her it was clear and she was able to go in. She walked to her bathroom taking a nice hot shower before getting in bed and quickly falling asleep.

A few hours later, there was a knock on the door before it opened revealing Sango as she walked in carrying a plate of food. She knew her sister was exhausted and wasn't surprised when she wasn't at the dinner table when it was time to eat. She walked to the edge of Kagome's bed before sitting down and softly shaking her sister awake.

"Kagome, are you hungry?" Sango asked as Kagome started to stir away, the moment Sango asked the question Kagome's stomach did a loud growl indicated that she was indeed very hungry. Sango giggled as Kagome stretched before sitting up making a grabbing motion for the plate in Sango's hands. "How are you feeling?" She asked and couldn't help but to look at the nasty bruise coloring her neck.

"I'm doing okay, Jakotsu helps so I don't feel too much pain after training." Kagome answered as she took a bite of her food.

"I'm glad that you're not in any pain." Sango said sending Kagome a smile. "How's your neck?" She asked as she ran her fingers lightly on her sister's neck as she traced the bruise.

"It's a little sore but I'm okay." Kagome answered honestly as she took another bite.

They talked a little while longer while Kagome continued to eat and after she was done, she wanted to go back to sleep so Sango bid her a goodnight before leaving the room letting her sister get the rest she needed.

*X*

Day after day, Kagome was able to push the boulder a little further each and every time, while her stamina grew stronger each and every time that she tried to push her power out. By the fifth day, she was able to push it from one point to the halfway point and was barely sweating and, though her breath was slightly raised, it wasn't anything to worry about. She felt incredibly proud of herself, she couldn't believe that she just pushed the rock as far as she did. She looked over at Genkotsu and he was standing at the side lines with his arms crossed with a proud smile on his face. She felt like she could push it even further, so she took a deep breath before she started pushing on it again, she was able to move it a few yards more - and though it wasn't all the way, she couldn't push it any longer, but she was still very happy with her progress.

As they all walked into the castle's kitchen, they were all laughing as they ordered their lunches. Kagome was happy that she didn't feel exhausted or in pain, she was going to go back out to train after an hour lunch break - she needed to hurry up and get this down and she was so close to doing just that.

"How are you feeling, young one?" Genkotsu asked as he ruffled Kagome's hair.

Kagome sent Genkotsu a smile. "I'm doing very well; I hardly feel worn out. I want to go back out and train some more after lunch."

"I'm happy to hear it, however, you must be careful to not train to hard - it'll cause more damage than good." Genkotsu warned.

"I'm really okay, I'll make sure not to overdo it, I promise I'll be careful." Kagome said with a determined look and nod.

"Okay, then eat up and we'll go back out." Genkotsu said as he finished up his food.

Once everyone was done eating, they all went back outside, Genkotsu moved the boulder back to the starting place. Kagome got into stance as she took a deep breath before putting her hands on the rock, she didn't even need to close her eyes this time to see everything the rock had to offer. She took another breath before she started pushing the rock, she made it to the halfway mark and still kept going until she crossed the finish line.

Once she crossed the finish line everyone that was in the arena at that time all started jumping and cheering in excitement for Kagome's accomplishment. Genkotsu scooped her up in a tight huge and spun her around a couple times before putting her back down on her feet. Once Genkotsu released her, she either got hugs from the other guards she was close with or high fives from the ones she hadn't quite formed a strong enough bond with yet.

"You did perfect, young one!" Genkotsu said with a proud smile as he ruffled her hair.

"Thanks." Kagome said with her own smile. "What else you have for me?"

"Well, if you're up for it, we can move on to making a boulder." Genkotsu said.

"Let's do it!" Kagome said with a smile. "Tell me how to do it."

"Sit down." He gently ordered as he, himself, sat down with Kagome following suit. "Just like the boulder, put your hands flat on the surface, close your eyes and just feel the earth. Feel the vibrations, movements, all the bugs walking on it - feel all the cracks, hills, slopes, organisms, atoms and all the animals moving along the ground." He said as he ran his hands along the ground with a serene look on his face.

Kagome closed her eyes before laying her hands down flush against the earth, it took her a bit, but she was finally able to see everything the earth had to offer. "I can see it." She whispered as she ran her hands over the earth's surface just like Genkotsu did.

"Good." Genkotsu said. "Now stand up and take your shoes off." He gently ordered as he stood up, he kept his shoes on while Kagome took hers off as she was told. "I want you to move your power to your feet rather than your hands, it's easier to get that connection between your feet and the earth barefoot to start out with but as you start getting the hang of it, you'll be able to get that connection with shoes on."

Kagome nodded as she closed her eyes once again and concentrated on her moving her power down her legs, to her feet and out to the earth. It took a several minutes, but she was finally able to find that connection. "I have it." She said in a hushed voice, afraid that if she spoke any louder, she would loss that concentration needed for the task at hand, er, at foot.

"Keep that focus but with your eyes open." Genkotsu instructed.

Kagome nodded her head again as she kept her eyes closed for a few more minutes to make sure her connection to the earth was nice and strong before slowly opening her eyes and looking at Genkotsu.

"Do you still have the connection?" Genkotsu asked and smiled when Kagome nodded. "Good, now, move your feet like this." Genkotsu said as he demonstrated by moving one foot, without picking it up, across the ground before pivoting his foot then lifting it up before bringing it down as he stomped on the ground making a huge boulder come up from the ground. He watched as Kagome moved her foot and went through all the steps that Genkotsu just did, however, the only thing she was able to do was shake the ground just a little.

Genkotsu chuckled at Kagome as she jutted out her buttom lip in disappointment. "That was an awesome effort, you are doing great, young one, please don't be disappointed." He smiled proudly. "Are you done for today?"

Kagome was sweaty and out of breath and nodded when Genkotsu asked if she was done. "Yeah." She said still out of breath. "I think I am; I want to go take a shower and take a nap."

Jakotsu came to stand beside her before they walked towards the castle and back to her room, and - as the new norm - Jakotsu walked in first to make sure no one was hiding in there. Once the coast was clear, Kagome walked into the bathroom, turning on the hot water and waited until the water was hot, she then turned on the cold water until the temp was like she liked it before turning on the shower, undressing and stepping in so the hot water could melt the soreness in her muscles away. After her shower she got dressed in sweatpants and a tank top before walking out to the kitchen for dinner, she was proud of herself, her stamina was getting stronger making it to where she didn't feel unbearable tiredness after training.

After dinner Inuyasha called and they talked for a little while about their day and other little things, he told her that they were just now on their way home and to expect them there with in the next two days. Kagome was excited that he was on his way home, she couldn't help but miss him - she got used to seeing him every day and now that he was gone, it didn't seem right that he wasn't here.

Once she was done with dinner she went back to her room before curling up on her bed and falling asleep.

A/N: This chapter is already over 10,000 words already, so I've decided to break this off into two parts because Kagome still needs to learn two more things for earth bending plus put all that she's learned all together - it's just getting way too long so yeah, breaking it off into two parts.

Hope you all enjoyed this chapter, see you next time, bye!
