(Violet's Pov)
I woke up to the feeling of someone on my chest. I look to see Clementine as she was sleeping and I look around the room a bit to see the Tv was still on playing an old looking Christmas movie. I felt Clementine shift a bit in her sleep and I look to her as she lifted her head up and turned it to the side now facing the couch as she takes a breath. I put my hand gently on her back and she moved closer to me and I hold my breath. I felt my heart racing like crazy. Then there was a knock on the door and Clementine lifts her head up and she sees me then turns red and gets off me.
"Sorry, I uh… door." She says as she heads to the door and I look up to the ceiling and take a breath and I get up.
"Hey were is Vincent?" I hear and see AJ.
"Oh, this is his twin sister Violet, He thought I could give her a girls night." Clementine says and I nod.
"Hey." I waved acting as if I didn't know him.
"Oh… do you like disco broccoli?" He asked and I nod a bit and he takes me to show me his toys and I could hear Clementine laugh. He showed me all his toys and movies and I would nod and talk to him about the stuff he wanted for Christmas which I made a mental list of, and then I got to thinking.
"Hey, my uh… brother wanted to know what Clementine would want for Christmas… he's kind of scared to ask her." I say and AJ looked to me.
"He should get her a ring." He says and I wanted to laugh but I kept my cool.
"Like… Marry her?" I asked and he nods.
"Yeah, she's been really happy with him nearby, she never really relaxed as much either, he's a cool guy too." He says.
"Ah you want him to be your big brother hu?" I asked and he nods.
"Yeah, but also he makes Clem happy." He says and I nod.
"Well maybe I could suggest it to him later down the line, but is there something Clementine really wants for Christmas?" I asked and he thinks.
"Maybe a new car? I didn't see it but she's here." He says and I nod.
"Yeah, Vincent told me about that… ok, now can you keep it a secret?" I asked and he nods.
"Yeah." He says and I nod. Once he was done showing me his stuff we went to the kitchen as Clementine was talking to-.
"Minerva?" I asked. The woman looked to me.
"No I'm Sophie, her twin." She says and I looked to her then to Clementine.
"I'm sorry do I know you?" Sophie asked.
"No, sorry I met your sister at a coffee shop she didn't mention a twin." I laughed.
"Ah, yeah she might have wanted to see if people she likes know the difference between the two of us, I tell her it's a cruel joke." Sophie says and I nod.
"Ah well we aren't dating." I say and she nods.
"Thank god, it would have been awkward… so where is Vincent?" Sophie asked.
"Oh, he went to spend some time with his mother, which by the way Violet he said you need to meet him at his place?" Clementine says and I nod quickly and I grabbed my car keys.
"See ya later Clem." I say.
"See ya Violet." She says and I hurry to my car and drive off. I head over to my house and I go in and see my mom.
"Oh well hello Vin… Oh Violet." She says and I nod.
"Yeah uh… I need your help." I say to her.
"What kind of help?" She asked.
"Well… I want to get Clementine and AJ some gifts for Christmas, also… Minerva is here and she has a twin sister apparently and I'm just." I try to say and she put her hands on my shoulders.
"Woah Calm down sweetie, Now lets get the important thing out of the way… Minerva is here?" She asked.
"On earth I guess, that could explain why I never knew where she went, I mean she didn't go to hell, I sure as fuck didn't see her in heaven, like now… what is she immortal or something?" I asked my mom.
"I don't think that's possible sweetie, maybe it's just a coincidence." She says.
"No, they look exactly the same as they did." I tell her.
"Are you sure? Did you see Minerva?" She asked.
"No but her sister said I could mistake the two and she looks spot on exactly how my Minerva looked." I tell her.
"Ok, well don't worry, she hasn't seen you, you haven't seen her… why are you freaking out?" She asked and I take a breath and move away from my mom.
"I really… really Like Clementine, but she doesn't want to date, which I am ok with, I get it, she just… and if Minerva is still here does she think we are still dating?" I asked my mom.
"Oh, that is a pickle you are in." She says.
"But I really like Clementine, she makes me feel… I don't know, she's a mystery to me." I tell her.
"Are you sure you have feelings for Clementine or do you have a sense of trying to solve what's going on with you?" My mom asked.
"I do like her, my heart races when I'm near her, and I lose my breath around her, she makes me feel things I never felt with Minerva, she's kind to me, she doesn't fear me, I don't know what her deepest desire is and yeah I get it she's a mystery to me but I still like her." I ranted and looked to the window.
"I'm just making sure you know the difference between the two." She tells me and I shake my head.
"Yeah, I do know the difference." I mutter.
"Ok, I get that." She says and I sigh.
"Anyway, I do need your help getting Clementine and AJ some gifts." I say to her.
"Ooooh I do love Christmas time." She says and I look to her.
"What? Your half-brother was born that day." She says.
"Hey, he's a good man." I say.
"Yes, but his father is a dick." She says and looks up and I laughed.
"Yeah, he is… anyway wanna come to the store with me?" I asked and she nods as we get ready and head on out.
"Now we are a bit late to go shopping, and many others too so don't get overwhelmed." I warn her.
"Oh please, I know better I am your mother." She says and I shake my head a bit and we head into the store and look around.
"Hey you think I should cook dinner for Christmas?" I asked and looked to my mom as I grabbed some movies for AJ.
"Oh, you know how to cook?" She asked.
"Yes, mom I know how to cook." I say and she laughed.
"I'm joking sweetie." She says and I roll my eyes as we keep shopping.
"So why are you Violet today?" She asked in a whisper and I look to her.
"Clementine asked." I told her.
"So, if she asked you to be Vincent?" She asked and I nod as I looked at some food and think.
"Yep, I'll be Vincent, by the way if I do show up as Violet AJ thinks I'm Vincents sister." I say as I send a quick text to Clementine asking if she wanted turkey or ham.
"So, she's ok with that?" She asked.
"Of course, she is, Clementine doesn't judge people." I say to her and I looked to see Clementine answering me back with question marks. My mom was looking at some food items and I call Clementine.
"Ok, why are you asking about food? I have food here." She says and I smile a bit.
"I wanted to make Christmas dinner for you, let you relax for the day you know?" I asked.
"Oh… um… sure uh… I have a turkey here so you don't have to get one." She says and I nod a bit.
"Alright, is it ok if I buy some spices?" I asked.
"Sure, as long as it's good I don't care." She says and we both laughed.
"Alright, I'll let you go." She says and we hang up and I get to work.
"I see many stuff for AJ in here, got something special for Clementine?" I hear my mom asked.
"Actually yes, I'm getting her a car…. And maybe something else." I say as we go to the register and I pay for the items. I then took my mom to the house and I look up some cars that Clementine might like.
"Don't you think she might get mad if you buy her a car?" She asked and I helped with wrapping the movies up.
"She will, but trust me she will get over it." I say as my mom puts the bows on the gifts.
"You sure?" She asked.
"Her car broke down; I think she'll be happy." I say to her as I hand her another gift.
"Well, what does she really want?" She asked and I think.
"I don't know, she won't tell me what she desires, and I can make her tell me… that's what makes her a mystery to me." I explained to my mom. Once we were done, I get a call from Clementine.
"Well hello Clementine." I say.
"Hey I'm so sorry but… AJ wants Vincent to come over tonight." She says.
"Sure, no problem." I tell her and I look to my mom.
"Also… Sophie and her sister are coming over, Tenn. wanted to spend Christmas eve with AJ." She says and I nod.
"So be prepared for whatever, got it." I say to her and think.
"Hey Clementine… what do you want for Christmas?" I asked her.
"…. Nothing really, sorry." She says.
"Don't be sorry." I say and she sighed.
"Look if you're planning on getting me a gift, please, please don't get anything expensive, just keep it simple." She says and I nod.
"Alright, will do." I lie and I hear her sigh.
"You're lying." She says.
"I am not." I say to her.
"Sure." She says and we hang up and I look to my mom. We got the gifts ready and I head to the car lot and look around a bit and find a good car for Clementine and I pay for it in full and I let my mom drive my car to Clementine's as I drive Clementine's new car. I shifted to Vincent and I take a breath as I get to Clementines neighborhood. I pulled in the driveway just as my mom did and we leave the gifts in the back but I go and grabbed one at least for AJ and we go to the door and I knock on it.
"Coming." I hear and AJ opened the door.
"VINCENT!" He says and hugged me and I chuckled.
"Sup little guy?" I asked.
"Nothing much." He says and I chuckled as he let us in. I watch him as he runs over to Tenn and I look to Clementine who was talking to Sophie.
"Hey Clem, hey Sophie." I say and the woman looks to me.
"I'm Minerva." She says and looked to me a bit.
"Vincent?" She asked and I look to her a bit then to the side.
"So, you do know him?" Clementine asked and we both nod.
"Uh I bought AJ a gift to open." I say and hand it to her and she smiled.
"We can give it to him tonight." She says and I nod at this.
"Uh… hey can we talk?" Minerva asked and I nod as we head outside for a bit.
"Why the hell are you here?" She asked me.
"I should be asking you the same thing, you're supposed to be-."
"Dead?" She asked and I look to her then to the ground.
"I had no idea where the hell you have been for years." I tell her.
"Yeah, well that's what happens when your dad, makes sure that I always keep being reborn never able to die, fucking fantastic." She says.
"Wait he did that?" I asked.
"Yeah." She says and I look to her a bit then looked to the side.
"Why are you here?" She asked and I look at her.
"Well originally it was for a vacation, but then something happened and well… let's just say I ended up helping Clementine with her job." I say and she laughed.
"Clementine is a cop; how could you help her? How did she end up with you helping her?" She asked and I put my hands on my hips.
"I am a good detective if you must know." I say and she laughed and I roll my eyes.
"Look, we can talk about this later, I just… it's actually good to see you." I tell her and I look to her as she looked to me.
"Good to see you too." She says and we head back inside and I see Clementine, Sophie and my mother laughing.
"What's so funny?" Minerva asked.
"Oh, Vincent's mom was just telling us how he use to run around naked." Clementine laughed and I look to my mom who just smiled at me.
"All kids do that." I growled.
"Yeah, but none I know of shouted out that they were cupid without a diaper." My mom says and I glared at her.
"Ok can we not bring up my childhood." I say.
"Oh, come on it's cute Vincent." Clementine says and I grumble a bit and shake my head.
"So, I invited Sophie and Minerva to spend Christmas with us." Clem tells me and I nod a bit at this. I couldn't tell her what to do in her own home.
"That's very nice Clementine." Minerva says and I looked to see the boys watching some Christmas movie. I decided to go over and sit with the boys and watched the movie with them. I could hear the girls talking about random things and then there is a mug in front of me and I look to see Clementine as she smiled at me and I take the mug and saw the boys with their own.
"Thanks." I say and she nods and takes a seat next to me and I smiled at her. When the movie was over, I could hear some soft Christmas music and I take a drink of the tea Clementine had made for me. AJ then goes and puts another movie on and I look to my watch and I could smell some cookies.
"Making some cookies for everyone, they already had dinner." Clementine says and I nod and looked to the TV again and watched the new movie that was put in. It was a while before Clementine got up and I get up as well as I had finished my drink and I go help her with the cookies. I grabbed the pan for her and set them on a cooling rack and she put in another batch of cookies. I swear I saw a smile on her face.
"Why are you so happy?" I asked in a whisper and she looked to me.
"Haven't had this many people over since Lee passed away." She says and I look to her and then an idea comes up and I nod to her.
"It's nice." She says and I nod at this.
"Yeah, it actually is." I say and she smiled a little more and set a time on the oven.
"Hey I have to head out real quick, but I'll be back." I tell her and she looked to me.
"You'll be back before the boys go to bed, right?" She asked and I nodded.
"I'm fast as hell." I joked and laughed a little as did she. I head out the back door and walk a bit to somewhere private before I looked to the coin in my hand and I take a breath and I flipped the coin and closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes, I could hear some gasps and saw a bunch of angels looking at me and I look around a bit.
"I would like to see my father." I say and some angles just looked to me. I roll my eyes and begin walking to my fathers home and I looked around and shake my head.
"Fucking fancy ass bullshit." I mutter and I finally get to my dad's and I bang on his door.
"Open the door old man." I say and the door opens and I see my father looking at me.
"Why are you here?" He asked.
"I need a favor." I tell him and he glared at me.
"You always need a damn favor." He says and I shake my head.
"Listen here old man, you've caused me so may problems, letting bad people in here just because they repented and bullshit instead of letting them suffer like they should have, but you owe me this." I tell him.
"I don't owe you anything." He says.
"The hell you do, I just need Lee." I tell him.
"What so you could make him carry your mark again? Devil." He says and I grip his arm burning him and he pulled me off. I could feel the flames coming out of my mouth.
"You made me this way, remember that, father." I tell him and he glared at me.
"Why do you want Lee?" He asked.
"For Clementine." I tell him.
"FOR A MORTAL?!" He yelled and I glare at him.
"What's going on here?" I hear and look to see Jesus and I look to the side.
"Vincent, it's been so long." H says and gives me a hug and I just give him a side hug.
"Yes, nice to meet you too brother." I say and he smiled at me.
"What bring you here brother?" He asked.
"He want's one of my angels for a mortal woman." My father says with venom in his voice and I glare at him.
"Father you must remember my mother was a mortal woman as well." Jesus tells him and he looked to the man.
"Vincent, which angel do you need?" My brother asked.
"I just need Lee." I tell him.
"Father." Jesus says and my dad looked to me then to my brother.
"No, you need to stop hanging around that mortal, find a goddess at least." He says and I glared at him.
"Why are you so concerned about who I am around? You want me to be alone, but because I actually like someone, you want me to 'be with my own kind'." I say as I make quotations with my hands.
"Mortals die, and you don't want her to be sent to hell." He says.
"You would make her go to hell if she showed feelings for me?" I asked getting pissed off.
"Father that is a bit unfair." Jesus tells him and I look to our dad.
"How long?" He asked.
"As long as Clementine needs, it's her father, you know this." I tell him and he rolls his eyes.
"She will see him for an hour." He says.
"Two." I tell him and he glared at me.
"I shall allow him… two hours." He growled and I nod and he leaves and I looked to my brother.
"I am sorry for how father is acting." He says.
"No need to be sorry about him brother, his actions are his own, he has no reason to be mad at anything but himself." I tell him and he sighs.
"You and father need to set a time to talk to each other, this rivalry between you two needs to stop." He says.
"Jesus you weren't born yet, but the reason I am the king of hell is because dad didn't like how I wanted to run things, and yes I did try to kill him but he was allowing murderers and other vile people come here if they repented, which is disgusting." I tell him and he sighs.
"My brother, just talk with dad, he worries for you, and he worries for all his creations." He tells me and I look at him more.
"He does not care for me, if he did then he would have listened to me, and he doesn't care for all his creations if he makes them vile creatures." I tell him and then I snap my fingers and I'm back in hell and I shake my head and grabbed the coin from my desk and I head back to earth. I go back into Clementines house and I look at her as she was pulling out some more cookies. I go up to her and place my hand gently on her shoulder and she looks at me and smiles.
"Hey, we're about to open gifts, go get changed too." She says and I nod as I go and get changed into a pair of sweats and a black tank top, and then I head back to the living room where we go and watch everyone open their gifts. AJ thanked me for his and then him and Tenn. went to bed my mom went into the spare room and then Minerva and Sophie said they would head to their house but would be back in the morning. I see Clementine cleaning up and I helped clean as well. When we were done, we go and take a seat on the couch and I look to Clementine.
"I noticed you didn't open a gift." I tell her and she looked to me.
"I don't usually do that it's just for AJ." She tells me and then there was a knock at the door and I get up and see Lee in the window looking at us and I opened the door.
"Clementine there is someone here to meet you." I say and I hear her get up and she stops next to me and she doesn't say anything. I look down to her and see she was in shock.
"Lee?" She asked and I look to the man.
"Yeah… Hey Sweet-pea." He says and she gives him a hug and I look to both of them.
"But h-how?" She asked.
"Hmm… Vincent here had asked his father to allow me to visit you in person… for two hours that is." He says and Clementine looked to me and I nod and he hugged me and I hugged her back.
"Come in, come in." She tells Lee and I go and get the rest of the gifts out of the car and bring them in while Clementine talked with Lee. I go and make sure everything is set up while Lee and her talked some more I bring them both drinks and hand them their mugs and hey thanked me.
"This is a great Christmas gift." Clem says and I smiled a bit and looked to Lee.
"I honestly wished I could have given you two more time to talk." I tell him.
"This is fine, thanks." Lee says and I nod.
"How have you been Clem?" Lee asked.
"I've been fine, Vincent has been a lot of help." She tells him.
"Do you have anyone special?" Lee asked.
"Oh god no, I'm not looking for anyone honestly." She tells him and he looked to me and I shrugged and took a drink from my own mug.
"And… You're ok with that?" He asked as he looked to me and I nod.
"Yes, I am ok with-it Lee, don't worry so much about me." She tells him and he looked to her and nods. When the two hours were up Lee had to leave and Clementine gives him one last hug before he left. I looked to Clementine to see some tears in her eyes.
"Hey are you ok?" I asked and she nods as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Yeah, I am I promise… I'm just glad I could see him again." She tells me and I nod and we go and take a sea on the couch and she plays a movie, she then grabbed a blanket and covers us both up so I lay back and she lays her head on my chest and I place my hands on her back as I looked to the TV as the lights on the Christmas tree lit up the room in soft lighting.
"Thank you, Vincent, that was very sweet of you." She tells me.
"I told you I'd do anything to make you happy." I tell her and I look at her as she turned her head to look at me a bit.
"I… Know but… You're too kind Vincent." She says and I shrugged a bit.
"You deserve it in all honesty." I tell her and we go back to watching the movie. It wasn't long till we had ended up falling asleep. I was having a really good dream until an alarm when off and I wake up quickly just as Clementine did and she shut the alarm off on her phone.
"Hmmm, it's early." I mutter and hold her closer to me and I hear her giggle.
"I know but we need to make sure the cookies and milk are gone." She says and we both get up and we head to the Santa plate and took a bite of the cookie and damn were they good.
"Are we going to go back to sleep?" I whispered.
"Yeah of course, Sorry I should have done this earlier after AJ and Tenn went to bed." She says and I chuckled and took another bite of the cookie.
"Nah I didn't know when Lee was going to come, dad never told me when." I tell her.
"Again, that was very sweet of you." She says.
"You should really be asking my half-brother; he was there to keep the peace so to speak." I tell her.
"Yes, but it was your idea, and it was sweet." She tells me and I nod a bit.
"But do thank you brother for me please." She says and I nod.
"Next time I see him, I will." I tell her and she nods. I eat some of the carrots and she drank some of the milk and we finished the cookies and I finished the rest of the milk. She then turns the TV off and then she grabbed my hand.
"If you want you can sleep in my room." She offered and I look to her a bit then to the couch and then back to her.
"I mean my back is killing me a bit." I say and she giggles a bit and nods as we head over to her room. We both lay in the bed and I think a bit but feel her place her head near my chest and then I place my hand on her hip.
"Night Vincent." She says and then yawns and I smile at her.
"Night Clementine." I tell her and we both ended up falling asleep.
