Chapter 7: Kane:
Max's POV:
We have arrived in Rudo, where we saw a knight. "Hey, he looks like a good knight," says Mae.
"That's my old friend, Lyle," says Guntz, "hey, Lyle!"
"Guntz, it's good to see you," says Lyle.
"Lyle, I have joined a group of adventurers," says Guntz.
"I'm Max and this is the Shining Force," I said, "are you a great knight?"
"Not just any night, I am a strike knight," says Lyle. He then demonstrates his skills.
"Impressive," I said.
"I have one problem," says Lyle, "I get lost... a lot."
"Well, why don't you join us," I asked, "we can help with your sense of direction, and you can help us fight Darksol!"
"I rather like that idea," says Lyle.
. . .
We then arrive in Dragonia. "Look who's here," says Mae.
It was Kane, the commander of Darksol's forces! "Shining Force," says Kane, "I challenge you all, but I will give you time to get ready!"
"Then we better get ready," I said.
. . .
I found this strange double door, but it says that it takes two heroes to open it. I then heard something. A dragon then appeared before me. I was prepared to fight...
"I did not come to fight you," says the dragon, "I am Bleu and I wish to join you!"
"Really," I asked.
The dragon comes out of the shadows, and I saw he was only a baby! "I want to help stop Kane!"
"I'm sorry," I said, "but I fear you are not ready for battle!"
"Please," Bleu begs, "I'm a really strong dragon!"
I then thought about it. "Alright," I said, "Bleu, welcome to the Shining Force!"

I then introduced Bleu to the rest of the force. "Awe," says Tao, "he's so cute!"
"Is everyone ready," I asked.
"You know I am," says Luke.
"As am I," says Zylo.
"Kane has to pay," says Mae.
"I'm ready too," says Hans.
"Same with me," says Lowe.
"I'll fight," says Tao.
"Me too," says Guntz.
"I, too, am ready," says Gong.
"Don't forget me," says Balbaroy.
"I want in," says Kokichi.
"I wanna fight," says Bleu.
"Let's take this Kane guy down," says Lyle.
"Then let's go," I said.

We were then faced with golems, dullahans, gargoyles, master mages, and high priests, and, of course, Kane! "Shining Force, this is where you shall face your demise!"
Balbaroy, Kokichi, and Bleu then faced the gargoyles. Tao used her magic against the master mages. As Lowe healed damages done to us, the High Priests healed their comrades. Also, Kane introduced this ability called Desoul, which allows him to attack his opponent's soul. Mae and Lyle fought some dullahans. Everyone else took on the golems.
"These guys are pretty tough," says Luke.
My sword of light clashed with Kane's sword of darkness. "You're no match for me," says Kane.
"I will not let you succeed," I said.
We continued to fight sword to sword and the fight ended me with breaking his mask. "My mask," says Kane.
The mask then fell off and Kane's forces were destroyed. We all looked at him. "Hey, he's... handsome," asks Mae, "I did not see that coming!"
"I'm... I'm free," says Kane.
"Who are you," I asked.
"It's a long story," says Kane, "but... like you, I was chosen to prevent the release of Dark Dragon, but Darksol took me and used that mask to take control of me!"
"That is so sad," says Tao.
Kane then walks towards Mae. "I'm sorry... for killing your father," says Kane.
"If what you say is true... then it was not your own choice," says Mae.
"Hey, maybe he can join the Shining Force," says Luke.
The others agreed with that idea.
"Kane, I have a favor to ask of you," I said.
. . .
Kane and I arrived at the double door. We managed to open it and arrived in this shrine where we saw Darksol. "Well, look who's here," says Darksol.
"Darksol," says Kane, "vengeance is mine!" Kane then tries to attack, but Darksol killed him.
"Kane," I said.
"I suppose it was only fitting that you would free... your brother," says Darksol.
"What," I asked.
Darksol then disappears.
