It took some time, but the fantasies of victory motivated him to persevere. Paradox had not continued, recovered from the brink of genuine death, been cast out and spit on by his own, to fail now. The Ancients had been clever when they fashioned the prisons entombing the two powerful ghosts. Paradox quickly discovered that the devastation and capabilities they had witnessed were only from their recollections.

The demonic spirits seemed entrapped outside of time in an everlasting prison, isolated and stewing in their thoughts for who knows how long. Perfect. He had no doubt they, too, wanted significant vengeance against the Ancients. After hours of concentrating and worming his way through the invisible barrier, tearing it to shreds, he ultimately broke through to the other side. Darkness enveloped his vision as he materialized, and a pair of blood-red eyes flickered over to look at him.

The demonic red eyes blinked in surprise, seeing the time stream through the jagged edges of where Paradox had come through. "Oh? And who might you be?"

"Paradox." The Ancient of Space replied behind his glass helmet, "And you? How long have you been enslaved here?"

"You can call me Dan. And it has been far too long." The ghost gradually floated closer to the opening, the light of the time stream casting a pale blue light onto his muscled figure. His white hair constantly flickered around, appearing like white flames. His striking crimson eyes narrowed in the sudden light, the color contrasting against his blue skin and black and white clothes, not unlike that of the "hero" he was descended from.

"I have one question for you," Paradox stated, catching the attention of the other ghost. "Are you an adversary of the Ancients?"

The malicious smirk he received was all the answer he required. "You bet."

"Then I believe we will be excellent friends." Paradox reached into the jagged remains of the barrier and stretched it wider open, motioning for Dan to follow. Paradox made quick work of breaking into the second prison. It was much like the other, thick and impenetrable by virtually all wraiths. Though the Ancients unquestionably didn't foresee this chain of events.

Ultimately, darkness oozed through into the time stream, opening up to a scarcely visible figure on the inside. As the pale blue light of the time stream shone in, Dan and Paradox witnessed a female figure clothed in dark cyan and aqua, with a long braid floating through the air around her like a snake.

A pair of fully magenta eyes stared at them from the darkness. Abruptly, the darkness around her lit up, and flickering images met Paradox and Dan's eyes, moving almost too quickly to comprehend. "Well, well, well, what is this?" The female ghost asked in a honey-sweet tone, smiling maliciously at the two others.

"Power looks good on you, big sister," Dan said with a grin. "Want to come with us to teach the Ancients a little lesson? No offense, but this is a dingy place you got here."

The ghost first licked her fangs before she huffed out a laugh as she floated towards the light, emerging from the remains of the prison that had imprisoned her for so long. "I couldn't agree more."

As the two adult ghosts reunited, Paradox smiled behind his mask. He quite liked having allies. He knew many others were enemies of the heroes. They would surely be unstoppable if he gathered them all together, united for the same cause.
