Chapter 12: Dark Dragon:
Max's POV:
We entered and we saw Darksol and his monsters. "Fools," says Darksol, "you will not stand in my way!"
"Let's take him on," I said.
We then fought the monsters. I faced Darksol, but he used his demon blaze attack against me. I then fought back with my Chaos Breaker. Tao used her fire spell on some monsters. Hans got attacked, but then Lowe healed him. Luke and Zylo fought together. Mae and Lyle attacked together. Guntz ran over some and Adam was riding on him. The flies attacked from the air. I was still fighting Darksol, but then Gong joined in. Darksol took him down, but then Tao used her fire spell on him.
"Fools," says Darksol, "you will not win!"
"In case you haven't noticed," I said, "we've defeated your best warriors!"
"But I am superior to them all," says Darksol.
Luke then struck him. "And we are the Shining Force," says Luke.
Mae then charges at him. Hans then hits him with an arrow. Adam then attacks. Zylo claws at him. Bleu hits him with a fire blast.
"I don't understand," says Darksol, "this can't be!"
I then struck him down with my chaos breaker. "Have enough," I asked.
"Fools, Dark Dragon will return," says Darksol, "I sacrifice myself to you, Dark Dragon!"
"What does he mean by that," asks Lowe.
Darksol then disappears, but then we heard something. Coming out of the ground was Dark Dragon himself. All three of his heads were facing us.
"We came all this way to face that," asks Kokichi.
Dark Dragon then lets out a roar.
"Well, you're the leader," says Luke, "what do we do now?"
"Okay," I said, "there's three heads and fourteen of us! We split up into groups and attack the heads! Let's give it a try."
Mae, Lowe, Luke, Adam, and I took on the middle head.
Hans, Tao, Gong, Bleau, and Balbaroy took on the head on the left.
Zylo, Kokichi, Guntz, and Lyle took on the head on the right.
Mae charged at the middle head. The middle head can cast demon blaze, like Darksol and used it on her. Lowe then heals her. Luke, Adam, and I then attacked at the same time.
Hans fires arrows at the left head. The left head then casts a freeze spell, but Tao counters with a blaze spell. Gong then punches the head. Bleau and Balbaroy then charge at it.
Zylo claws the right head. Kokichi, Guntz, and Lyle then charge at it. The right head then casts desoul on Lyle, but Zylo bites the head.
My group was still fighting the middle head. "You know what I like about Bleau," asks Luke, "he only has one head and is not evil!"
"Don't give up," I said.
"I just hope Lowe doesn't run out of healing magic," says Mae.
Hans was still firing arrows at the left head.
"How are you not running out of arrows," asks Tao.
"I don't know," says Hans.
"He's about to attack," says Bleau.
The left head hits them with a bolt spell.
Zylo claws the right head's right eye out. The right head then casts a blaze spell.
"How many powers does he have," asks Kokichi.
"Time to end this," I said. I then used my chaos breaker to strike the middle head, destroying it, destroying the other two heads.
Everyone was cheering. "We should celebrate," says Luke.
"It's not over yet," I said, "Dark Dragon isn't dead and I need to seal him away!"
"Alright, do it," says Luke.
I then looked away.
"Max, what do you have to do," asks Lowe.
I then teleported them all to safety. "Max, what are you doing," asks Mae.
"Goodbye," I said.
"Max, don't," says Mae, "Max! I love you!"
I then did what I had to do...
Mae's POV:
That was the last we've seen of Max. Things have changed. Anri is now the Queen of Guardiana and with her engagement to Princess Narsha, it might unite the kingdoms.
Tao is now teaching at the Manarina School of Magic, and with the support of Luke and their children, she's going to do great.
Gong's back to living on his own, but he helps travelers who come by.
Adam and Guntz are living with Kokichi as his assistants. I'm sure they're going to make great inventions together.
Zylo and Bleau stay in the woods to hunt. They are going to be kings of the beasts.
Hans is now a wanderer. Helping anyone in need.
Balbaroy has returned to his wife in their nest. They are looking after their eggs. The first one hatches and they're naming him Max.
Lowe is now the head of the Guardiana church. He tells the stories of our adventures.
I am now training the knights, with Lyle's help. I then looked and I thought I saw Max...
