Chp 5. False Hope
(Warning: This chp contains heavy themes dealing with sexual assault so don't read this chp if reading the chp will harm or upset you in any way possible)
Once the morning had arrived, Kiryu woke up from his bed and rubbed his eyes. Kiryu got out of bed and did his usual morning activities, from brushing his teeth to taking a shower. Kiryu got dressed and made himself something to eat, which he plopped onto the couch in the hotel. As Kiryu sat there and ate his snack, he scrolled through his phone for a while. But he was suddenly disrupted by Sir Pentious and Vaggie bickering about his trust issues with everyone at the hotel.
"Today's gonna be a long day..", Kiryu said under his breath with a heavy sigh as Charlie pulled together everyone in the hotel for a trust exercise. Charlie started with a trust fall first. It was Charlie's idea that she then handed it off for Vaggie to do.
"All, right, so we are starting with trust falls! Each of you are going to share something vulnerable with the group about yourself and then fall backwards, while the rest of the group catches you. Got it? Who wants to go first?", Vaggie said in a drill Sergeant tone of voice. Charlie was the first to go with the trust fall.
"I...I love you guys. Like, really, really love you.", Charlie said as she fell, and Vaggie caught her.
"Let's get this over with.", Kiryu went on the stage and turned his back to the rest of them.
"I..like to clean because it helps me clear my mind.", Kiryu said a bit embarrassed as he fell backward as he did so everyone from Vaggie to Husk caught him struggling a bit. They accidentally dropped him on the ground because Kiryu was too heavy to hold.
"Ow that fuckin h-", Kiryu was about to start yelling at them for dropping him, but Charlie quickly intervened by grabbing a rubber duck out of her pocket.
"Kiryu before you get mad I want you to have this", Charlie handed Kiryu the rubber duck, "now what I want you to do is whenever you get mad I want you to squeeze the rubber duck.", Charlie said with a hopeful smile on her face. Kiryu gave the duck a few squeezes the duck a few times feeling the rage start to simmer down.
"Uhhh…..thanks….Charlie?", Kiryu said as he got off the ground and put the duck away. As Kiryu was about to continue participating with the rest of Vaggie's trust exercises Alastor quickly appeared.
"Kiryu lad come with me I've got some business that'll require your assistance.", Alastor said with his usual wide smile.
"Wait..what sort of business Alastor?", Kiryu said as he narrowed his eyes at Alastor.
"You'll find out along the way Kiryu now come along. We must not waste any more time.", Alastor said as he began to walk out of the hotel. Kiryu looked back at everyone else to see what they thought about it, but Alastor quickly pulled Kiryu along with one of his black tendrils as they made their way out of the hotel. As Alastor let go of Kiryu he quickly got off the ground and brushed himself off with a pissed off look on his face.
"This better be worth my damn time Alastor.", Kiryu said as he glared at Alastor.
"You'll understand soon enough, Kiryu, haha.", Alastor said with a manic laugh as Kiryu followed alongside Alastor. As Alastor and Kiryu both continued to walk, Kiryu began to put the pieces together once they had run into an old friend of Alastor.
"Hark, Alastor. How fare thee this day and who have tho brought along?", Zestial said as he looked around.
"Greetings Zestial this", Alastor pointed at Kiryu with his cane", is Kiryu," Alastor stepped aside to let Zestial see Kiryu.
"Ah Kiryu t's most wondrous to finally meeteth the sinner yond did broadcast.", Zestial said as he looked down to Kiryu with an intrigued look on his face.
"I…uhh yeah that's me…. pleasure to mee to you mister Zestial…sir", Kiryu said with a slight stutter in his voice. After Kiryu introduced himself to Zestial he walked behind Alastor as he and Zestial caught up on old times. Kiryu continued to follow behind them as they made their way to the overlord meeting. Kiryu followed closely behind Alastor as they took the lift and made their way to the meeting room. Once they entered the room Alastor took his seat and gestured for Kiryu to take the seat next to him which he did then the room went quiet then the meeting began.
"Welcome, Hell sovereign overlords. I've invited you all here because you represent the controlling powers of our city. Together, you own millions of souls. Souls at risk with the new Extermin-", Carmilla Carmine was about to continue speaking right as she just noticed both Kiryu and Alastor.
"Alastor and..you?", Carmilla said as she narrowed her eyes at Kiryu.
"Yes, I know I've been absent some time. I'm sure you've all been wondering! And as for the lad next to me, he's Kiryu I assume you all have already heard much about him now.", Alastor said with his usual wide smile.
"Not really. Now why exactly have you brought him here Alastor?", Carmilla said with a bit of venom in her voice this time.
"I've come here so he could be granted the rank of overlord of course!", Alastor exclaimed.
"Wait what?!", Kiryu yelled out a bit taken aback by Alastor's comment.
"Now…Alastor I know we all made an exemption for you…but we can't just go out handing over the title of overlord to every new sinner who comes to hell! But as many have already seen what Kiryu is capable of I'll leave it up for discussion during our next meeting." Carmilla said with a tired tone of voice. Right as Kiryu was about to object against being an overlord his phone started to ring. Once he saw who was calling he quickly excused himself out of the room. In a rush out of the room, he accidentally bumped into Velvette.
"Watch where you're going…asshole?", Velvette said as she looked up to Kiryu a bit surprised.
"I'm so sorry I wasn-", Kiryu was about to continue apologizing right as Velvette picked Kiryu's phone off the ground and made him follow her on her socials.
"It's fine see you later big guy and if you ever need anything text me", Velvette said as she winked at him and walked into the meeting room leaving Kiryu completely confused on his knees.
"Uhhhhh …… okay?", Kiryu said as he picked up his phone, and rushed out of the building towards IMP city. After a bit of running, Kiryu finally made it to I.M.P. HQ and rushed inside the meeting office.
"Boss…I….got your…text…..what's the emergency…," Kiryu said, breathing heavily from all the running.
"Fuckin finally took you long enough you slow bastard I needed you to hear because right now you're dead weight to I.M.P. Kiryu.", Blitz said as he turned around to face Kiryu.
"I'm……dead weight?", Kiryu said as he looked up at Blitz, confused.
"Of course you are dumbass! You've got a shit ton of power, but you can't use any of it with going all angry and shit!", Blitz yelled out as he slammed the table too.
"Alright then, boss, how do you suppose I get control over it? Since you're acting like you know me inside and out.", Kiryu said as he narrowed his eyes at Blitz and stood tall, finally catching his breath.
"Via some training, of course!", Blitz said with a big smile.
"The fuck you mean training?", Kiryu said taken aback.
"The crew and I are gonna beat the shit out of you until you manage to control your power, kid!", Blitz said as he opened the conference room door.
"Wait, you're serious about this?!, Kiryu tried to protest against Blitz's idea as he followed him out of the conference room.
"Of course I am! If I weren't, then I wouldn't be red!", Blitz yelled out and laughed too.
"But...there's nothing I can do to convince you this is a bad idea, huh?" Kiryu said, sounding a bit defeated as he looked over to Moxxie and Millie, who nodded their heads.
"You bet your sweet ass there isn't! M get your weapons schools in session!" Blitz exclaimed as he grabbed his guns.
"Wait, can I come too?", Loona said as she put down her phone.
"Eh, I don't see why not!", Blitz said as he grabbed a few more guns and knives. After a while, everyone went to an empty battlefield. Once everyone checked their weapons, while Kiryu was trying to convince Blitz this was a bad idea, they all got ready for Blitz to make the final call.
"This is a batshit insane Blitz!", Kiryu yelled.
"Now!", Blitz yelled out as he dove for cover, Moxie got some distance with his sniper rifle, and Loona and Millie went in straight for Kiryu Millie, especially with her battle ax aimed at Kiryu's head. Kiryu tried to run but Blitz fired a bullet ahead of Kiryu stopping him in his tracks. Kiryu turns around to face Millie and Loona as Millie slashes down at Kiryu with her battle ax; thankfully Kiryu was able to dodge the attack. But right as he did that Loona slashed Kiryu's side causing him to kneel in pain.
"Shit..that fuckin hurt god fuckin damnit..", Kiryu said as he spit some blood out from his mouth.
"Come on Kiryu, fight back already!" Blitz yelled out as he shot Kiryu's tail.
"Agh!", Kiryu yelled out in pain. That rage within him started to rise as he clenched his fist and shut his eyes.
"Get control Kiryu you have to!", Moxie yelled out as he lowered his sniper rifle.
"Quack.", the sound of a rubber duck could be heard from Kiryu's jacket pocket as it stopped everyone in their place.
"Was…that a rubber duck?", Loone said as she looked down at Kiryu. As Kiryu squeezed the duck a second time images of his mother started to flash in his mind. He began to hear her voice ring in his head two particular words.
"Control…..Harness", Kiryu's mother said as her voice began to falter as Bliz started to kick Kiryu in his ribs.
"Now…this..is …some…tough…love!", Blitz yelled out as each kick became stronger and stronger.
"Sir you've got to stop, he's had enough!", Moxie yelled as he tried to stop Blitz but Millie stopped him.
"You know this is what has to be done hun…or else he'll be a danger to everyone..", Millie said as she looked into Moxxie's sad eyes. As Blitz continued to kick Kiryu that rage within him started to transform into something new, something better. He could hear his mother, Moxie, Charlie, and Angel Dust's voices in his head all telling him one thing.
"Harness the power within you Kiryu!", Suddenly that rage within Kiryu was finally under his control as he shoved Blitz aside causing him to fall on his ass.
"You finally did it huh kid?" Blitz said as he looked up at Kiryu his dorsal plates glowed a low blue, "Now that the first stage is done I think it's time to see what you're capable of!" Blitz quickly got off the ground and lunged at Kiryu with a small knife from his boot. Kiryu quickly grabbed Blitz and slammed him hard enough into the ground to hurt a bit. Next Millie launched at Kiryu with her battle ax, but he was able to catch the head of the ax with his dorsal plates and disarm Millie. Loone tried to go in for another slash with her claws yet she failed as Kiryu thankfully saw it coming this time as he threw a heavy right hook at Loona's side. Moxie was about to lower his sniper rifle when Kiryu rushed at him, stole it from his hands, and hit him over the head knocking him out.
"Thanks..for not attacking me Moxxie…I owe you one..", Kiryu said as he dropped the sniper rifle next to Moxxie. He turned his head to face Lonna and Millie as they both rushed at him at the same time.
"Shit.", Kiryu muttered under his breath as they both tackled him onto the ground. Millie constrained his legs as Loona constrained his arms. Kiryu struggled heavily trying to break free from them, but each time he got close they just got tighter.
"Way to go!', Blitz said as he slowly got off the ground.
"Now Kiryu that you've got control of your power, how about we test that regeneration of yours?", Blitz grabbed his golden flintlock pistol and aimed it right at Kiryu.
"Try ... .agh ... .me...Blitzo", Kiryu said with a smirk on his face feeling more confident than ever before in his life.
"Oh fuck you the O is silent asshole!", Blitzo yelled out as he shot Kiryu in his chest. Right as the bullet lodged itself in Kiryu within 15 seconds his body spit it back out and started to heal itself. Then suddenly all that blue light that glowed on Kiryu's body started to glow brighter as Kiruu unleashed a new ability. His nuclear pulse knocked back Blitz, Millie, and Loona.
"Well, I'll be damned you …….have gotten stronger huh kid?", Blitz said as the ground.
"Looks Like I have huh", Kiryu said, still smirking as he looked at his body proudly
"Girls he's yours I'm gonna pass out now.", As Blitz passed out on the ground, Millie and Loona quickly got off the ground.
"Will do Blitz.", Millie said as she had a sinister grin on her face as Loona cracked her knuckles.
"How about we make a deal?", Kiryu said as he stretched his arms and legs, "If I win we head to a club and both of you have to pay for all of us, and if you two win I'll pay for the whole group we got a deal?", Kiryu said with a smug look on his face.
"Looks like someone's starting to get a bit overconfident, huh Millie?", Loona looked over to Millie, who nodded her head quickly, "You've got a deal kid!", Loona rushed at Kiryu as he did the same. Once they clashed, both struggled, trying to make the other falter.
"I'll give it to yeah kid.. you're a lot stronger than I imagined.", Loona said as the struggle in her voice started to show.
"You're not as weak as I expected…. especially being on that damn phone all the time…", Kiryu said as he began to feel tired. Loona began to dominate Kiryu as he fell to his knees.
"Strength is….good….but experience is better!", Loona yelled out as she kicked Kiryu's chest, causing him to lose his grip and Loona to slash him with her claws.
"Agh!... Good thing, I'm a quick thinker!", Kiryu then used his tail to grab Loonas's leg, making her fall to the ground as he slashed her with his dorsal plates. Then suddenly, Millie, out of nowhere Millie grabbed Kiryu by his tail and started to spin him around.
"Always be aware of those on the battlefield, Kiryu!", Millie then tossed Kiryu into some nearby rubble.
"Noted…", Kiryu said as he slowly exited the rubble. Once he locked eyes with Millie and Loona, he charged his atomic breath. Both of the girls saw the bright blue light go through Kiryu's body and made one final rush at him. Kiryu fired his beam at them, but he missed as Millie and Loona dodged it. He tried to chase them with the beam, but as they finally made it to him, Loona tackled Kiryu to the ground. Making him stop his beam as Millie went in for the final blow and struck his head with the butt of her battle ax.
"Not…..yet…", Kiryu was about to unleash his nuclear pulse again but passed out immediately, thus the winners of this battle being Millie and Loona.
"You've got……a shit ton ... ..of potential Kiryu I'll give you that.", Millie said as she fell to the ground exhausted.
"Same….", Loona, exhausted too, also fell to the ground. They all lay on the ground for a couple of hours until they started to wake up from Kiryu, Moxxie, Blitz, Loona, and Millie.
"Damn….that was…fun?", Kiryu said as he brushed off the dirt and blood from his clothes.
"I'd say we make some damn fine teachers, huh team!", Blitz said as quickly got off the ground.
"Now Kiryu…if I remember since I and Millie won, that means you have to pay once we go to a club huh?", Loona said with a smirk.
"Yeah, you did say that Kiryu.", Millie said as she helped Moxxie up.
"Shit….I did say that…..well let's go then …I need something to drink….", Kiryu said in a tired tone of voice. Once they all healed up the group went looking for a club close by. After 15 minutes something caught Blitz's eye.
"The..Consent Club?", Blitz said as she squinted his eyes, "sounds interesting! Ready your wallet Kiryu haha!", Blitz said as he and the rest of the group walked inside the club. Once they made their way to the center of the club each member of the group went their own separate ways especially Kiryu who made a b-line to the bar. Kiryu took a seat waved down the bartender and ordered a whiskey. The bartender poured him his drink and served it to him. Kiryu quickly took a sip.
"Damn….that hits the spot.", Kiryu said as he continued to slowly enjoy his drink. Kiryu was about to take another sip as Millie and Loona came up to Kiryu with a devious look on their faces.
"Hope you're wallet's ready kid", Millie said, "because we're gonna go all out tonight!", Loona exclaimed as she waved down the bartender and started to order the most expensive drinks on the menu.
"...shit…", Kiryu muttered under his breath as the girls got their drinks. As soon as they started drinking hijinks ensued from crappy singing to Kiryu ordering an expensive drink of his own, and Loona challenging Kiryu to see who can down the most shots of some cheap crappy liquor.
" ~10~", Kiryu said with slurred words as all the liquor was starting to catch up to him.
" ~15 dick!", Loona said as the alcohol was slowly starting to catch up to her. Kiryu was about to down his 16 shot when he put the glass down admitting defeat.
"Hell yeah! I win asshole!", Loona said as she threw her arms up in the air in victory.
" ~W-whatever..~", Kiryu said as he was starting to have trouble standing up, " ~I'm…gonna sit down now…~", Kiryu said now drunk as he waddled his way to an unoccupied booth. Once Kiryu took a seat a certain moth-like sinner took notice of Kiryu being alone and his current condition as well.
"Looks like you can't handle you're liquor huh.", The sinner said as he took a seat next to Kiryu.
"~w-what??~", Kiryu said with slurred words, " ~w-who are..you?~" Kiryu said as he slumped into the couch and looked up to the sinner.
"Call me..Valentino now here", Valentino said as he handed Kiryu a bright pink drink, "you're gonna wanna drink this it'll help sober you up", Valentino said with a devious look on his face.
" ~w..wow thanks Valentimo…I'm…Kiryu….I just m-meet you…but you're a g-great guy you kn-know that?~", Kiryu said with slurred words as he accepted the drink and quickly downed it. As he downed the drink Kiryu started to feel a bit different his body started to feel numb, his head went blank, and his face started to blush much more than before.
"How do you feel Kiryu?", Valentino said as he leaned in close to him.
" ~I..f-feel funny…I'm...I su-supposed to f-feel funny Valentine?~", Kiryu said as he looked up at Valentino.
"It's supposed to make you feel like that you feel good don't you?", Valentino said as put his hand on Kiryu's face and made him look him in the eyes.
" ~I..do feel..good~", Kiryu said as he looked he looked into Valentino's eyes.
"I love you're body Kiryu it's so…unique I can make you a star…you wanna be a star Kiryu?", Valentino said as he started to feel up Kiryu's body.
" ~I…wanna be a star..~", Kiryu said as he sat there helplessly.
"Good answer.", Valentino was about to continue as Moxxie started to walk up to Kiryu. Once Valentino saw him he quickly got off of Kiryu disappeared into the club and left Kiryu slumped on the couch still drunk and under the effects of the spiked drink.
"Kiryu time to go bud.", Moxxie helped Kiryu to his feet as he and the rest of the group made their way out of the club.
" ~I love you guys..so much~", Kiryu said with slurred words.
"We do too kid now I'll order you a ride you're way too drunk to walk home", Moxxie said as he pulled out his phone and ordered him a ride.
" ~You're the best Moxxie~", Kiryu said as the ride arrived and Moxxie and Loona helped him into the car. After a short drive, Kiryu made it back to the hotel. He opened the front door as he drunkenly walked through the hotel trying to find his room. Once he found a door that sorta looked like his he opened the door and was greeted by a small pig.
" ~hey little guy", Kiryu said as he kneeled and petted the pig, " you're so cute~", Kiryu saw the empty bed and waddled his way to it, and plopped down onto the bed. Kiryu buried his face into the pillows as he noticed the strange smell on them.
" ~these pillows..smell sooo nice~", Kiryu said as he quickly fell asleep. Angel Dust opened the door to his room and his eyes quickly locked onto Kiryu, who was still asleep, he then went to go and try to wake him up.
"Come on kid you gotta go to you're…" Angel Dust was about to continue to try and wake Kiryu up until he noticed Kiryu's smell, "Whiskey, cheap liquor, and…..oh no", Angel Dust smelled certain aroma that came from Kiryu's breath. Angel Dust turned Kiryu over from his side to his back as he leaned in to smell Kiryu's breath.
"Val…you fucking asshole, not him too!" Angel Dust yelled as Kiryu started to wake up.
" ~what's with all the yelling?~", Kiryu said as he slowly opened his eyes and he looked up at Angel Dust.
"Kiryu did you drink anything that was a bright pink?!", Angel Dust yelled as he shook Kiryu.
" ~Yeah..a good guy gave it to me..said it'll help sober me up~", Kiryu said as he looked at Angel Dust with a dumb smile on his face.
Val..how could you…especially to him", Angel Dust muttered under his breath as he looked down, "Kiryu I'm gonna stay by you're side till you've completely sobered up alright.", Angel Dust said as he looked Kiryu in the eyes.
" ~I like that…I like you Angel~", Kiryu said as he slumped into Angel Dust's arms. Angel Dust sighed deeply knowing it'll be a long and restless night. Off in V-Tower Valentino and Velvette walked up to Vox.
"How'd it go?" Vox said as he turned to face them.
"I got him to follow me on Voxtagram so now we'll always know where he's at all times.", Velvette said with a smirk on her face.
"I had him drink my love potion it worked very well on him.", Valentino said with a devious smile.
"Good things are all coming together perfectly.", Vox said with a sinister look on his face.
That marks the end of chp 5 hopefully y'all liked this chp as this was the hardest for me to write, especially the part with Kiryu and Val. Moreover, now that the V's know where Kiryu is and how to weaken him, what will their plan be next? You'll all find out soon enough in the next chp!
