Chapter 13th
Selma needed to stand up in the pouring rain with Lee Crane trying to be doing the same with the arrival of the Seals. He was coming to realize that his own sanity was in jeopardy for the most part with the Russians having used the brain washing methods.
Commander in charge of the Seal James Morris ran over to them as with the rest of the team pulling out items that will be given to the two former hostages like fresh water and protein bars. It was at this time that Morris needed to ask the following questions to Crane and the woman.
"How are you feeling now Captain Crane? Admiral Nelson and the rest of the personnel on board the Seaview are very worried about you." he says with a hint of a smirk on his face.
With shaking the cobwebs out of his head. Captain Lee Crane will say the following to him and looking up into his young face as with the rest of the team. "I will be fine Commander once I get back abroad the Seaview thanks for Selma getting me away from the cell." he advised with a lump in his throat.
"Commander, I must tell you it was mostly an off chance that we were able to come in contact with you. This is actually the island of Yuri?" she had to asked for her own sanity as well.
"Affirmative, Selma. By the way your own people working on board your vessel will be waiting for you once the debriefing is over. I need to know where are the rest of the hostages, Selma?" he waited a few moments before she was able to answer the question.
Taking in a deep breath from her lungs and the pouring rain beginning to subsided with a hint of a sun breaking through the darkened clouds.
"From what I am able to tell Commander is the fact that myself and Lee, there are 20 others some ten miles away on this island. I do know in Africa and two of the local villages a few miles from the harbor there are 30 in all from several different countries. I do know for a fact Commander is that the Russians and Chinese are now allies while working together." she tells them with drinking the last piece of her protect bar as with Lee and the bottle of water.
"I will have the pilot to take you back to the U.S.S. Caroline and contact the Seaview. But in the meantime I will call the second helicopter to advise them of the locations inside of the villages and Africa. My team will be ready to head in on a fast pace trek to search for the hostages. If and when we are able to find them. I will be able to call the U.S.S.
Caroline to send further Apache helicopters to help bring them to safely." he responded with watching his men to help the woman and Lee Crane into the helicopter strapping them into place until they reach the vessel while waiting for them.
Captain Lee Crane was last with getting into the back of the helicopter settling in with his lanky legs beginning to hurt slightly. Otherwise he was able to watch Selma with help from the Seals. She will be able to sit across from him so that the both of them can either talk or fall asleep until they reach the U.S.S. Caroline.
"Are you fine, Selma with all this happening to the both of us?" he says in a soft spoken tone of voice.
She had to slightly chuckle a bit in order for her to gather up her composer in order to answer the question. "I will be Lee once we are finish with the debriefing. No doubt the United States government will be happy that their valuable Captain of the Seaview has been return to your home?" she slightly smiled while see the glaze in his hazel blue eyes.
"I know that Admiral Harriman Nelson will be for sure as with Commander Chip Morton. Otherwise I don't have a woman in my life to have been worried about me accept for you for the most part." All of a sudden he cheeks were turning slightly with having to say those words to Selma and he was able to see she felt somewhat scared at the words as well.
All she was able to say is the following..."Thank you, I am flattered Lee Crane." it was at this point the pilot will tell them over the speaker that they were ready to be taking off to head for the U.S.S. Caroline.
