"Thanks again for inviting us over Iida!" cheered Midoriya Izuku as he and his friends made their way into the grand foyer of the Iida family estate. "I'm happy you guys all offered to help me today!"

Iida Tenya smiled at his friend while chopping his arm through the air, "Do not even mention it Midoriya! It is our duty as your friends to ensure that you are properly prepped for your romantic outing with Bakugou!"

The reason as to why they were all gathered here had happened a couple of days ago in the 2-A Heights Alliance common room. Midoriya had approached the rest of the self-proclaimed 'Dekusquad' in tears over the fact that he had nothing appropriate to wear for his big one year anniversary dinner date with Bakugo. It was common knowledge that the green-haired boy was a walking fashion disaster, so his friends were not super surprised by the fact that he didn't have anything befitting the occasion. As the only other males in the group, Tenya and Todoroki had offered to loan him some of their own clothes that they had on hand, but had quickly learned that Tenya's clothing was much too large and that nothing Shoto had screamed Izuku.

It had been Asui Tsuyu who suggested that perhaps Tenya might have clothes that fit Midoriya at his house from when he was younger. After a group consensus and permission from Aizawa, the group had managed to get approval to go to Tenya's childhood home in the hopes that Midoriya might find something to wear.

"Whoa!" exclaimed Uraraka Ochako, twirling around excitedly at the sight of the large foyer. "This place is huge Iida!"

Yaoyorozu Momo blushed and looked away, "It's actually smaller than I thought it would be."

Uraraka coughed in response to what Yaoyorozu said. Tenya was pretty sure that he heard her whisper something about Yaoyorozu's immense wealth clouding her judgement into Tsu's ear.

"I vaguely recall being here before when I was young," said Todoroki Shoto, looking around at the sleek yet modern decor. "I believe it was for your grandfather's birthday celebration?"

Tenya nodded vigorously, "Correct Todoroki! My grandfather was turning eighty-five and we were celebrating his legacy as an important member of the Iida Pro Hero family line! As such, they invited many famous heroes including your family! I hope you found the party to your enjoyment."

Todoroki stared back at Tenya blankly, "The food was decent."

Tsu put a finger to her lips in thought, "I sometimes forget that Yaomomo, Iida, and Todoroki all knew each other due to their status-ribbit."

Yaoyorozu nodded with a small smile, "Indeed! We may not all have been friends yet, but we've been running in the same social circles for our entire lives."

"That sounds so cool!" said Midoriya enthusiastically with a big smile on his face. "It's like having built-in friends!"

"I wouldn't go that far Midoriya," Todoroki said sharply, a small glint of anger in his dual-colored eyes. "Gossip and social reputation are everything to people at this status. If you make one mistake or do something that people find disgraceful, your family is marked forever."

No one needed to vocalize out loud what they all knew Todoroki was talking about. At the start of their second year, Todoroki had shared with the entire group what his family had been through and all that entailed. He had been too young at the time to vividly remember the conversations surrounding Todoroki's mother, but he could recall vague whisperings at the dinner parties he had been taken to around that particular time. But both he and Yaoyorozu knew it was true. Both had had it drilled into their skulls that one wrong misstep could ruin their lives and the family's future. It was something that Tenya had always internalized and worked to uphold from a very young age. He knew not everyone would understand, but it was an important lesson that everyone should learn in his opinion.

Midoriya hung his head sadly with tears welling up in his eyes, "Oh I didn't think about that. Forgive me Todoroki!"

Uraraka put a hand on Midoriya's shoulder in an attempt to calm him down and glared at Todoroki, "It's alright Deku! No one blames you! Right?"

The dual-haired boy nodded, "Yes. It is quite alright."

"Shall we migrate to one of your closets then?" asked Yaoyorozu, in an attempt to steer the conversation away from the bad parts of wealth.

"Indeed! It is imperative that we find the right outfit for Midoriya!" announced Tenya before leading the group of a flight of stairs.

Tenya quickly learned that he should have alerted the staff to hide any evidence of his family's Hero Legacy that was displayed all over the house. The group of friends couldn't make it more than a few steps down a hall before Midoriya fanboyed out and started on a mumbling spree about the history or battle behind the photograph that was on display. In order to ensure that they wouldn't spend their entire visit standing in the hallway, Tsu wrapped her tongue around Midoriya and they ended up carrying him to Tenya's room.

He opened the double doors to his bedroom and sighed as he took in the familiar sight of his childhood bedroom. Everything was exactly where he had left it, meaning it was very well-organized and looked like no one had lived there at all.

"Wow Iida!" said Ochako, stifling a few giggles. "And here I thought I'd find an even bigger wall of glasses here."

"Uraraka! There is a practical reason behind that and you know it!"

"Is it alright that we're in here?" asked Yaoyorozu, looking around hesitantly. "Are any of your family members home?"

Tenya chopped his arm through the air, "I assure you everything is perfectly fine! My brother is out at an appointment and my parents are at Idaten doing the business side of things! The staff has been alerted that we are here and have been kind enough to stay out of our way!"

Tsu, Uraraka, and Midoriya exchanged glances before Midoriya said hesitantly, "Oh you have staff Iida?"

Iida nodded, "Indeed. We have a team of family housekeepers, butlers, and a personal chef at our disposal."

"As do I," said Yaoyorozu, though she said it with much more embarrassment than Tenya did.

Todoroki sat down at Tenya's desk chair and turned it around to face the others, "I do not have staff. My father believed we should do everything ourselves."

Uraraka rubbed the back of her head and muttered under her breath, "I have to do everything myself because I don't have enough money."

Tsu patted Uraraka's knee before turning to Tenya and pointing to another set of doors, "Is that your closet over there?"

"Yes!" said Tenya before opening the doors. "My family has kept everything I and my brother owned for nostalgia's sake here! We should be able to find something for Midoriya in here."

"Why are your brother's clothes in here?" asked Yaoyorozu, taking up residence on Tenya's blue bed.

"Before I was born, this was his bedroom as my family was not expecting another child," explained Tenya. "I was a bit of a surprise."

Tsu put her finger to her chin, "How old was your mom when you were born?"

Tenya opened his mouth as if he was about to answer but closed it when he realized that he didn't have an answer to give Tsu. He didn't know how old his mother had been when she had given birth to him. He was sixteen now, Tensei was in his early thirties, and his mom was going to be sixty in November. Thinking back on it, he wasn't sure if he had ever seen a picture of his birth.

This startled Tenya. There wasn't much that he didn't know, let alone about his own family. He could tell all of the major Hero battles that his family had encountered throughout their years in active duty and he could list each one's education levels and degrees, but he was unable to recount the story behind his own birth.

Tenya was pulled out of his thoughts by Midoriya placing a hand on his shoulder and giving him a warm smile. Tenya could feel his cheeks start to blush. He hoped his startlement wasn't obvious to his friends. The last thing he wanted was to take a visit that was meant for Midoriya and make it about him.

"Where should we start?" asked Midoriya before rubbing the back of his head adorably. "I'm afraid I don't know what kind of clothing would be appropriate."

"Where is Bakugou taking you?" asked Todoroki.

Izuku puffed his cheeks out as he tried to think, "Kacchan told me that I better dress nice because he was going to blow my socks off! Kacchan didn't tell me anything else other than that which is unlike Kacchan. I wonder what Kacchan could be up to?"

"Perhaps it might be best to go for an outfit that is nice but not so nice that it'd be bad if something happened?" suggested Yaoyorozu. "That way Midoriya doesn't look out of place in a nice restaurant, but should the evening take a different turn he might be able to do other activities!"

"Deku in semi formal clothes will look formal compared to how he usually dresses," giggled Ochako from where she was seated in front of Tenya's bookshelf with Tsu to her left.

"Uraraka!" huffed Izuku before pouting adorably. "I wore a suit that one time on I-Island!"

"From the pictures Ochako showed me of the night before you ended up fighting," said Tsu dryly. "It was a very ugly suit."

Tenya nodded in agreement, "It was not flattering on you Midoriya!"

"It made you look like a Christmas tree," said Todoroki bluntly.

Yaoyorozu wore a saddened expression on her face as she nodded, "I'm sorry Midoriya, but I am inclined to agree with Todoroki."

Midoriya turned a shade of red so deep that it made Tenya think of a strawberry, "If I'm that bad at dressing myself, can you guys help me?"

Uraraka gave Midoriya a bright smile, "That's why we're here to help!"

"Thanks guys!" cried Midoriya, wiping tears from his eyes before turning to Tenya. "Where should we start?"

Tenya put a hand to his chin and thought it over, "You're too small for anything that fits me now. I was about your size when I was a child. Let's go in and pull some shirts for you."

Midoriya nodded earnestly and followed Tenya into his closet, leaving the others to talk amongst themselves as they waited for Midoriya to come out. Tenya turned on the light hidden behind the door, illuminating the rather large closet. The housekeepers had arranged it just the way Tenya liked it: the year, the type of clothing it was, and by color. Tenya headed immediately for the white button downs he kept in the very back of the closet.

"I think we should start you off with a white button down," vocalized Tenya. "It's a good starter piece to build the rest of the outfit off of."

Midoriya's eyes widened, "Wow! Iida you know so much about fashion!"

Tenya blushed and turned his attention to sorting through clothes, "Not really. My brother just taught me the importance of being presentable from an early age."

Tenya could hear Midoriya's smile in his voice as he said, "I think it's amazing how much your brother means to you. I've never had any siblings so I don't quite know the bond you're thinking of, but I'm sure it's similar to how I feel about my mom!"

"Indeed. When I was growing up, my parents weren't really around but my brother was. He's been the person always cheering me on and believing in me. I don't know where I'd be without him."

Tenya was surprised to feel arms wrap around his chest. He craned his neck to see Midoriya hugging him tightly with tears in his eyes. Tenya smiled and rubbed Midoriya's hair affectionately. Though they had only been friends for over a year, Tenya couldn't imagine his life without Midoriya in it. He had brought so much light and life to everyone he touched. There was something truly special about the boy.

"As much as I appreciate the affection," chuckled Tenya. "Why don't you start looking for pants that fit you while I sort through these shirts."

Midoriya nodded and the two boys spent time searching in silence. Tenya replayed Midoriya's measurements in his mind as he looked through the shirt sizes. He silently cheered to himself as he found something that might fit Midoriya. He gently took the hanger off the shirt and silently held it up to Midoriya to gauge his opinion. Midoriya nodded excitedly as he held up a pair of black trousers that presumably were in his size as well. He left Midoriya to change and rejoined the others.

Uraraka was talking wildly with her hands and had left her spot by his bookshelf to stand in the center of the room, "I keep telling Mina to take control of her destiny and ask Kirishima out, but she keeps insisting that he doesn't like her like that! It's insane!"

"I'm sure Ashido is just hesitant to be vulnerable in the way that a love confession requires," Yaoyorozu chuckled.

Tsu put a finger to her lips, "I've definitely seen Kirishima give longing glances towards Mina when he thinks no one is watching him-ribbit."

"Why haven't they done anything about it yet," groaned Uraraka, banging her head slightly against the bookshelf.

"Because the people Bakugou associates with are idiots," said Todoroki bluntly, not looking up from his phone. "Kirishima is convinced that Ashido isn't interested in him in the slightest."

"Todoroki!" exclaimed Tenya, chopping his arm through the air. "It is rude and disgraceful to shame our fellow classmates and future colleagues like that."

Uraraka narrowed her eyes evilly, "Oh come on Iida! You can't tell me that you don't think this situation is even the slightest bit frustrating? Wouldn't it be better for our class dynamic if they confessed their love for each other?"

Tenya had to concede, "You may have a point there."

"Exactly," nodded Uraraka smugly.

"You can't force love Uraraka," reminded Yaoyorozu. "These things need time to bloom on their own."

"I can force it if we all know that it'd be better when they get together," grumbled Uraraka.

Todoroki looked up from his phone, "I recommend not coming up with any dumb schemes. We should hold ourselves to higher standards than something Bakugou's friends would come up with."

"ARE YOU INSULTING KACCHAN TODOROKI?" shouted Izuku angrily behind the closed doors of the closet.

"Negative Midoriya!" said Tenya through the doors. "He was merely commenting about how Bakugou's friends are prone to starting dumb shenanigans for their own amusement. No ill will was pointed towards Bakugou."

Tenya let out a sigh of relief as it sounded like Midoriya diverted his attention back to changing. The group waited in silence for a couple of minutes before the door to the closet opened and Midoriya stepped out. He rubbed the back of head awkwardly as the group looked him over. The shirt was a bit tight, it had been meant for a first year of middle school Tenya after all, and the pants dragged a bit but overall it looked good.

"Looking great Deku!" cheered Uraraka as she shot two thumbs up in the air.

"It's a bit basic," mused Tsu. "But I think you look nice."

"I always believe there's nothing wrong with a classic look," nodded Yaoyorozu happily.

Todoroki looked up to meet Midoriya's eyes, "You're going to wear your red sneakers aren't you?"

Midoriya nodded frantically, "Of course!"

Todoroki thought it over, "Then this works."

"Should he have a blazer?" asked Yaoyorozu. "At least for dinner? I fear Midoriya might look underdressed otherwise."

Tenya nodded, "That is a great idea Yaoyorozu! Do you think you'll be able to find one Midoriya? I think a black one might be best. They shouldn't be far from where the shirts were"

Midoriya nodded and retreated back into the closet. As the group waited, Tenya took to polishing his glasses. Midoriya returned faster than anyone thought he would. He stepped back out wearing a fairly large black blazer.

"What do you guys think?" asked Midoriya hopefully.

Uraraka chuckled, "I think you have the right idea Deku, but I think it's too big?"

Tenya nodded, "You must have grabbed one of Tensei's by mistake. The housekeepers must have mixed up some of our clothes."

Yaoyorozu's eyes widened, "Your brother was that big as a middle schooler."

"Indeed," said Tenya, reaching up to take the blazer from an embarrassed Midoriya. "He's always been a rather large man."

"It seems to run in the family-ribbit."

As Tenya helped Midoriya out of the large blazer, Tenya failed to notice a small piece of paper fall out from one of the inside pockets. Midoriya bent down to pick it up and his eyes lit up excitedly as he took in what was inside.

"Iida! Iida!" said Midoriya excitedly, clutching the paper tightly. "Look! This fell out of the blazer's pocket!"

"What is it?" asked Todoroki. Tenya wasn't sure if he was genuinely interested or not since Endeavor's son rarely changed his tone.

"It's an image of Iida when he was born!"

Tenya's brows rose in shock. Tensei kept a picture of him in this blazer? Moreover, there were pictures of his birth? Tenya had always been told he had arrived on the car ride to the hospital so they weren't able to take pictures.

"Would you mind if I took a look?" asked Tenya, extending his hand to see the picture.

Midoriya nodded and handed it over. Tenya looked down at the picture...and was immediately confused. It was indeed a picture of a baby after being born at the hospital, but the girl holding the newborn...wasn't his mother. For starters, she was much younger than Tenya's mother should have been when he was born. Hell, she looked younger than he did right now! Instead of his mother's blue-black hair and blue eyes, she had hot pink hair and red eyes. She was looking down at the baby happily.

What was this? Maybe Midoriya had gotten it wrong and this was a picture of Tensei's birth instead? But it would make no sense for Tensei to have a picture of his own birth in his blazer pocket. He couldn't even say this was his mother when she was young, because he knew that Tensei had been born when his mom was in his early 20's and this girl must have been fourteen or fifteen. He had seen pictures of his mom in school and she had looked nothing like this. Tenya wasn't sure what was going on, or what to make of this picture.

"Iida? Iida?" asked Midoriya.

Tenya shook his head and was pulled out of his thoughts. Figuring it was for the best not to say anything until he could investigate more, he put the picture in his pocket and tried to muster up the best smile he could.

"Sorry Midoriya! Sorry everyone!" exclaimed Tenya, internally wincing at how fake his voice sounded. "I was just startled at finally having proof of my birth! Shall we get back to the blazer?"

"Preferably one that FITS this time," jeered Uraraka with a laugh.

As the focus returned to dressing Midoriya for his anniversary dinner, Tenya's thoughts began to focus solely on that picture. He would have to inspect the titular baby in question to see if it matched up with anyone he knew. But who was that girl? Why was she in Tensei's blazer pocket?

Tenya knew he wouldn't be able to commit to anything else entirely until he got to the bottom of this. He would have to talk to his parents as soon as he could.
