Intro begins
It's a quiet morning in an unknown forest as a lone Beowolf is just minding its own business. Suddenly, it starts to hear music as it raises its head, trying to figure out where the source was coming from. The Beowolf turns around and sees a lone LATV4 come out of nowhere. the MG guns the Beowolf down instantly, its body during to dust as the vehicle goes right past it.
The screen then goes closer to the LAT, the camera introducing each of its occupants one at a time. Halo is shown first, holding on to the vehicle for dear life as the car swerves left and right. The screen then cuts to Seeker, who was the one who gunned down the Beowolf. He tries to yell something to the driver, but the car hits a bump and he falls to the ground. The camera finally shows the driver. Gremlin. Obviously enjoying himself as one of his arms is in the air while his other is on the wheel. Ignoring his comrade's pleas to slow down as he drives off a cliff. The camera backs up as it gets an undershot of the vehicle floating in the air for a while before it starts to fall on top of the camera.
The screen transitions to Team RWBY fighting a group of Grimm, they're about to get overrun when the LAT lands in front of them, the MG cutting the Grimm like a sharp blade to grass as the soldiers get out and start to fire at the threat. Team RWBY joins them as they push the creatures back. The screen then shows both the soldiers and Team RWBY aiming at it as they fire at the same time, various bullet holes and cracks litter the screen as it goes black
The screen shows General Ironwood, Professor Ozpin, and other important members of the other kingdoms looking at a picture of an F-35. Discussing the mysterious logo on it, and the flag on its side. They're talking about where the aircraft came from, if it's an enemy or ally, and what the hell USAF meant.
The camera then transitions to a group of American soldiers fighting some Grimm in a desert environment in front of some sort of portal, pushing them back until the Grimm fall back into the portal. It then cuts to a few days later, an American and No-Pat task force goes into the portal as they prepare for what they find on the other side.
The screen then finally shows Halo, Seeker, Gremlin, and Team RWBY on top of a pile of rubble, damaged buildings surround them as they face a large horde of Grimm in front of them. As they stand their ground, Little birds start to appear in the skies above them. M1A5s, M5C Boltes, and American and No-Pat troops join the fight as they aim their weapons at the horde of Grimm. The lead one, a combination of half horse and half man, lets out a large roar as the horde charges at the humans. The soldiers hold their ground, the camera gets closer to them. Halo, aiming his P90, Gremlin, holding his RPG, and Seeker, who's looking down the scope of his sniper rifle. The camera gets close in front of their barrels, they pull their triggers as the fire engulfs the entire screen. The screen goes black as it displays.
"Battlefield 2042: The Soldiers of Remnant"
1 hour later
May 17th, 2044 | Emerald Forest, Vale
Seeker: "We're lost. Aren't we American?"
Seeker said as he sat on a rock, checking the ammo of his ADS before placing the magazine back into the rifle.
Gremlin: "Yeah... We went past the same tree 3 times Halo. Heck, you might have a worse sense of direction than I do. Didn't think that was possible until we decided to follow you."
He said, chuckling at the thought that he had finally found someone worse with directions compared to him. But their comments didn't faze Halo, who was on top of a large rock formation looking around. His eyes were glued through his binoculars, trying to figure out their next course of action.
Halo: "Just wait a minute alright? I'm trying to figure out where the hell we are..."
Halo called out, placing his eyes back on his binoculars as he continued to scan the horizon, noticing something in the distance but dismissing it as either a mountain or a large tree again.
Seeker: "Just come down American. I don't want to lose our only medic to fall damage. And if you do get hurt, I'm leaving you to fend for yourself."
Halo: "Ok! Ok! I'm coming down alright?"
Halo yelled as he began his descent down the rock formation, carefully trekking down as he watched where he place his hands and feet before climbing down.
Halo: "Guys, just trust me alright? I swear, I saw something in the distance just North of us."
Seeker: "Yeah, you said that 15 minutes ago, and now we're here..."
The sniper snapped back, very annoyed about how Halo wasted all their time. If it was up to him, he would have left them the moment they met each other. But he knew that sticking with these guys was his best bet. He knew nothing about his surroundings and if there were any threats, the other two soldiers could be meat shei- I mean, help with dealing with those threats.
Seeker: "Y'know what... Forget it... It's already starting to get dark..."
He said as he motioned to the setting sun, the sky turning into an orange hue as the blue sky faded into a blue.
Seeker: "If anything, we should rest for a bit before we start traveling again. If there's any sign of civilization, we should see lights from their settlement since any source of light would be seen better if they're in a dark environment."
Gremlin: "That's... Actually a good idea... Nice job Ruski!"
Gremlin said as he slapped Seeker's shoulder. At first, it was supposed to be a friendly gesture, but the sniper didn't think it was as he slowly turned to the AT gunner. He saw his reflection on the sniper's visor, a piercing glare was aimed directly at him as Seeker pulled out a knife. He played with it a little before he stopped.
Seeker: "Next... Time..."
He growled, before throwing the knife at Gremlin where it barely misses his head and lodged itself into a nearby tree.
Seeker: "Don't call me Ruski..."
He said as he bumped into Gremlin, tripping him as he fell to the ground. He continued walking up to the tree as he yanked the knife out of it, spinning it around a little before swiftly placing it back into his holster. The two soldiers watch with a mixture of shock and awe as he turns back and walks towards them, finding a place to lie down as he places his helmet over his face.
Seeker: "I suggest we get some rest. We'll start moving again in a few hours, so get some sleep..."
Halo and Gremlin looked at him for a few seconds, before Gremlin started to do the same. Leaning on his backpack as he started to doze off, leaving only Halo left.
Halo: 'Well... Guess I taking first shift...'
Halo thought as he grabbed his P90 and walked over to a large rock, sitting on it as he kept watch over them. He quickly got bored and started to pull out some of his empty magazines, filling them with some extra 5.7x28mm NATO cartridges that he kept in his pouch in case he ever ran out.
Unknown to him, two groups with mysterious motives were watching both him and his group. Two people were watching them from the trees through the safety of their surveillance system that covered the entire forest. And an unknown threat was watching them from the darkness, feasting their red eyes on the unsuspecting soldiers as they licked their lips in anticipation. Ready to jump and eat well tonight...
Beacon Tower, Vale
As Halo and his group rested on the forest floor, two teachers from Beacon Academy were watching them from the headmaster's office.
Glynda: "So... This is why you called me here Ozpin? How did they get here?"
Ozpin: "It was... Strange to say the least... I was minding my business when I got a notification that 3 camera motion sensors were triggered. I thought it was nothing but some Grimm triggering them but decided to check just in case."
Glynda: "And that's where we have these guys."
She said while motioning to the screen displaying the soldiers.
Ozpin: "Yes, those 'soldiers' clothing are something I've never seen before. No noticeable armor except those lightweight vests they have on them. But I doubt that it can even tank a Beowolf's slash. Either they've never seen a Grimm before or that vest has a different function..."
Glynda: "Do you think they're Atlas specialists? They could be using some of their experimental technology or prototypes."
Ozpin: "Possibly, we shouldn't single that theory out. But they don't seem to be bearing the Atlas symbol on their uniforms. Here, look."
He said, having a few cameras focus on the AT gunner, sniper, and medic's patches of their flags.
Glynda: "Hmm... Interesting... I do believe the two soldiers with lightweight armor might work for some sort of country. But for the one in heavy gear, the lone N confuses me. Do they work for some sort of group like the White Fang?"
Ozpin: "Possibility. But their origin is a mystery to me. The flags are something that I've never seen before and I haven't gotten any wind about a group with that logo before. Either they're all a part of a newly formed group or something else entirely."
Glynda: "Hmm... You might have a point there. Do you think that they might have something to do with the sudden surges of energy and foreign crates in the Emerald Forest? Some of our crews are still trying to figure out where those strange crates are from. And some of them are written in the same language as that man's patch."
She pointed to the patch on Seeker's chest. Although the letters were in a different arrangement, they were the same as the ones they found on the crates.
Ozpin: "Most likely. If we do come into contact with him, perhaps we can ask him to translate the writing for us. Which is why I need you to escort them back here. They could answer some of our questions or we could interrogate them on who they are and where they originally came from."
Glynda: "Understood. I'll prepare a bullhead in thirty minutes. The-"
Before she could finish her sentence, Ozpin's scroll started to pick up more signals on the surveillance cameras. He picked it up, shocked and concerned about the news before them. Multiple Grimm creatures were amassing in small groups, converging on the foreign soldier's position.
Ozpin: "Dear Oum..."
Glynda: "There have to be at least a hundred. No, two hundred. Wait... More than three hundred!? Why the hell are there that many Grimm?"
Ozpin: "Better yet, what the hell is drawing that many of them to these three soldiers? They're attracted to negative thoughts so... That doesn't matter. Glynda, get to the landing pad now! I'll get ready a bullhead for you when you get there. Just get those soldiers out of there now!"
She nodded as she bolted to the elevator, quickly pushing the buttons as it closed the doors, descending the tower. Ozpin looked back at his scroll, looking at the large group of Grimm and the three soldiers, concern and worry plastered all over his face as he watched the situation unfold.
Ozpin: 'I hope you get to them quick enough Glynda'
He thought as he saw her board a bullhead from his window, watching it quickly take off and fly towards the direction of the soldiers.
Ozpin: 'Because those soldier's lives are counting on you...'
Emerald Forest, Vale
*THUD*
The tree shakes a little as the handle of a knife hits the thick bark as it drops onto the soft forest floor, someone walks to it as they pick it back up, and walks back to their original spot.
Halo: "Ok... Let's try again"
He mutters as aims the knife again, throwing it at the tree as it hits the bark and spins to the side.
*THUD*
Halo watches as the knife falls to the floor again, still no success from his earlier attempts. He sighs as he goes back to the knife and picks it up again. Walking back and aims the knife, getting ready to throw it again.
Halo: 'Dang it! How the hell does he do it like that?'
He thought as he walked back to the knife, quickly grabbing it off the grassy floor before he ran back to his spot. He then took his stance again, trying to figure out where to throw it this time.
Halo: 'Ok. This time, I'll make it...'
Halo took a deep breath, concentrating completely on the tree as his fingers started to fiddle with the knife's handle. Halo took a step back, before taking another forward as he threw the knife back at the tree.
*SWISH*
The knife started to fly through the air, quickly closing the distance between Halo and the tree. The handle, once again, made contact with the tree. But what surprised him was that it bounced towards him, the edge pointing directly at his visor.
Halo: "Oh God!"
He screamed out, covering his face with his arms and hands as he prepared for the knife to embed itself into Halo's body. But it didn't. Halo waited for a few more seconds, a little confused but he was too scared to peak. Finally gathering the will to look, he parted his arms a little, surprised to see the knife just a few inches away from his visor. He looked to the side of the knife, surprised to see Seeker's hand on the handle as he just saved him from getting impaled by his own knife.
Seeker: "..."
Seeker didn't say anything as he looked back at him, slowly lowering the knife and offering it back to Halo. Halo looked at him for a while in awe and shock by his fast reaction time but he quickly pulled himself from his frozen state and took the knife back.
Halo: "T-Thanks mate... I own you one..."
Halo said softly to Seeker, studdering as he tried his best to keep his cool in front of the sniper.
Seeker: "You're doing it all wrong..."
Seeker said as he quickly pulled his knife, throwing it a little in the air before catching it on the blade. He quickly threw it at the tree and both of them watch it lodge itself into the tree bark flawlessly.
Seeker: "You keep throwing it from the handle instead of the blade. If you did that in a real combat situation, you would have given your enemy another weapon to kill you with."
He said as he walked to the tree, swiftly pulling the knife out of the tree trunk before he walked back to Halo. When he got to the medic's side, he pulled the medic's knife out of the holster and offered it to him.
Seeker: "Here, you try."
The medic hesitated for a moment, looking at the knife as he glistened in the moonlight. He sighed once more as he slowly grabbed the knife out of Seeker's hand, holding it by the blade as he took his stance. He took a step forward, aiming it back at the tree before Seeker stopped him.
Seeker: "Stop..."
He stopped in his tracks, looking back at Seeker as he gave him a confused look.
Halo: "What?"
Seeker: "You're too eager to throw the knife... Take your time, take into account the environment around you, such as the wind and the angle at where you're throwing the knife. Before you throw it. You don't want it to bounce back and hit you in the face right?"
He said sternly as if he has taught someone else this before. The medic nodded as he took a step back, looking at the tree branches as the wind softly pushed them. He adjusts the angle of his arm, slowly raising it up and down as he aims at the tree. Taking his time as he took a step forward and let go of the blade, forcing it out of his hand as it flys through the air. The two of them watch as it barely grazes the tree trunk and flies right past it, flying right into the dark abyss of the forest.
Halo" "Oh for God's sa-"
*YELP*
The two soldiers look at the darkness of the forest, Seeker grabs his ADS while Halo grabbed his P90, and both of them aim their guns directly at where the sound came from.
Seeker: "Halo..."
Halo: "I know, I bloody know!"
He snaps back, the both of them slowly backing off as they focus their aim on the darkness that was before them.
Halo: "Think I hit a deer? We did see some of them back when were got transported here."
Seeker: "No, I don't think you hit a deer."
Halo: "And what makes you say that? That sounded like a deer to me."
Seeker: "I've hunted deer before, sometimes even getting close enough to see the white in their eyes... That was not a deer..."
Halo: "Ok then, let's say you're right. What else do you think it bloody wa-"
*Grrrr*
They both stopped arguing, aiming their weapons at the growling sound.
Seeker: "I think you've made a wolf angry..."
Halo: "Y-Yeah... But wouldn't they run away? I mean, it was just one growl, right? How many could there b-"
As Halo talked, they heard more growls coming from the bushes in front of them, large red eyes started to pierce through them as more appeared.
Seeker: "I think you've made a pack angry."
Halo: "Oh son of a bit-
He didn't have time to finish his sentence as a black creature jumped out of the bushes with its claws aiming at both of them. Halo quickly pushed Seeker out of the way as he jumped back, the creature's claw barely missing their faces. Both of them crashed to the ground as they quickly got up, aiming their weapons at the unknown creature.
Seeker: "Cyka Blyat!"
Seeker screamed as he fired at the creature's head, killing it instantly as it dropped back onto the floor.
Seeker: "Что это было, черт возьми!? (What the hell was that!?)"
He didn't have time to comprehend what just happened as five more of those creatures appeared from the shadows. Switching his rifle to fully auto, he opened fire on the black creatures while yelling every curse word he knew.
Meanwhile, Halo was slowly getting up, holding his head as he tried to recover from what just happened. When his vision cleared up, he saw the dead creature in front of him. It looked like was a wolf, but at the same time, it was twice his size. The wolf had spikes all around its arms, legs, and back. The upper jaw and face looked like it was covered by a skull, with small red cracks all around it. Halo wiped his visor just to be sure it was damaged or if he was seeing things before he slapped himself in the face to check if it would still be there.
Halo looked a little closer at it when it suddenly began to evaporate into the air. Small, black particles started to depart from the body as no traces of the creature were left.
Halo: 'What... in the actual fu-'
Seeker: "Приходите, сукины дети! (Come get some you sons of a bitches!)"
Halo turned his head, seeing Seeker fighting off the group of creatures in front of him as more started to appear. Halo turned back to where the dead wolf was, seeing his knife lying flatly on the ground. He quickly grabbed it off the ground as he ran to the sniper's side.
Seeker: "Что это за чертовы штуки!? (What the hell are these things!?)"
Halo: "I don't know. The wolves from Call of Duty Zombies!? Just keep firing!"
Universe #193843
Dempsey: Achoo
Nikolai: "Agh. You ok comrade?"
Dempsey: Sniff "Yeah, I'm fine. Damn guts are probably stuffing my nose."
?: "Fetch me their souls!"
Takeo: "立ち止まるのはやめてください!もっと多くの人がこちらに来ています!(Stop standing around! More are coming this way!)"
Richtofen: "Bitte halten Sie Ihre Arme und Hände immer im Fahrgeschäft. (Please keep your arms and hands inside the ride at all times.)"
The german said as he pulled a lever, turning some sort of rocket that flew out of a hole and into the dark reaches of space.
Emerald Forest, Vale
Halo fired at the group of wolves, killing one as the rest of them split off in different directions.
Halo: "They're splitting up!"
Seeker: "I know, you take the left I'll take the right!"
Halo: "Got it!
He yelled as he broke off, focusing on the two wolves as Seeker did the same thing. Seeker aimed for the wolf's legs, hitting one while the other drove into the woods.
*Click*
Seeker: "Черт возьми! (Damn it!)"
He cursed as he pulled out his sidearm, shooting the wolf in the back as he placed another accurate shot into its head. Killing it instantly as it started to disintegrate into black dust. He quickly aimed his pistol at the darkness of the forest, looking for the other wolf in the shadows.
Seeker: "Выходи, маленький щенок... У меня для тебя сюрприз... Это голова, полная свинца... (Come out little pup... I've got a surprise for you... It's a head full of lead yo-)"
The last wolf jumped up from above him, knocking the pistol out of his hands as it pinned him to the ground. Seeker grabbed both of the wolf's jaws, stopping it from tearing his neck to pieces.
Seeker: "Отстань от меня, ты, негабаритный... кем бы ты ни был! (Get off of me you oversized... Whatever you are!)"
He screamed as he gave the wolf a large uppercut, fazing it just for a few moments. But it was enough for him as he pulled his knife out of his holster. Quickly pinning the larger animal to the ground as he shoved the knife into the black creature's skull. Afterward, it soon stopped struggling and started to fade into the air.
Seeker: 'What the... What the hell is it doing?'
He thought to himself as he watched it fade into nothing. The knife clattered to the ground as the head disappeared, laying down where the wolf's head once was.
Meanwhile
Halo: "Oh crap!"
Halo screamed as he rolled out of the way of a charging wolf, crashing into a tree as he stood up. When he regained his vision, he quickly ducked, barely dodging another wolf's lunge as it crashed through the tree.
Halo: "Oh shit! Not good!"
One of the wolves recovered from its fall, quickly getting into position, and growling as it got ready to leap at Halo again.
Halo's eyes widened as he saw the creature get up, he watched it leap in the air and towards him. He quickly aimed at the creature as flew mid-air, firing under its exposed underbelly as it howled in great pain. The bullets went through the torso but it didn't stop it from falling onto him.
Halo: "Oh son of a bi-"
The body fell on the unfortunate medic, his muffled scream can be heard as he tried to dig himself out of under it. Soon enough, one of his arms managed to get out under it as he managed to get his head out of under there. He took a deep breath as he finally took in fresh air from being suffocated for some time.
As he tried to pull himself out, his legs got stuck in the wolf's heavy body. He tried to escape again but to no avail. He sighed as he waited for the body to disintegrate so he could finally get up.
*GROWL*
Halo gulped as he slowly turned his head, looking at the approaching wolf as it licked its lips at the sight of the helpless prey before it.
Halo: "U-Um... Nice doggy?"
Halo whispered as he looked around, desperately trying to find his P90. He saw it just a few feet away from him, which must have been knocked out of his hands when the wolf fell on him. He looked back at the dead wolf on him, it still barely began to disappear. Reaching out to the P90, he tried to grab it but it was just short out of his reach. The wolf got closer and closer, almost getting on top of Halo. He looked back at it, then around him. Seeker was nowhere to be found, either he ran or was somewhere else, he couldn't save Halo this time. Halo sighed as he lay down on the ground, accepting his fate as he prayed that his death would at least be quick.
*SWISH*
*YELP*
He closed his eyes, preparing for the wolf to tear through his gear and feast on his flesh. But suddenly, he heard a heavy thud happen beside him just as it was about to tear his clothes. He opened his eyes and looked to his side, greeted by the sight of the wolf lying dead beside him, a knife lodged in the front of its skull.
Halo: 'W-Wait what just happened?'
He thought as the dead wolf on him finally disappeared, freeing him from under it as Halo crawled away from the other one. Grabbing his P90 as he got up and aimed it back at the wolf.
Seeker: "You ok comrade?"
Halo quickly turned to Seeker, aiming his weapon at him since he was still shaken from what just happened. Seeker slowly raised his hands, unamused by how jumpy Halo was.
Seeker: "Halo..."
He said, glaring daggers directly at Halo as the medic calmed down and quickly lowered his SMG.
Halo: "S-Sorry!"
Seeker: "I swear, you're going to get me killed."
Halo: "Hey! That's... That's actually fair..."
Seeker replied with a sigh as he walked past the medic, going over to the dead wolf as tore the knife out of its skull. He wiped the blood off the blade as he placed it back into his holster.
Seeker: "What the hell are these things?"
Seeker asked, kicking the dead wolf in the head to check if it was still alive before firing another shot into its head.
Seeker: "Hey American! Does this thing look familiar to you?"
Halo: "I don't know. Why are you asking me?"
Seeker: "Because you're a corpsman. I thought you knew some stuff about animals. Don't you guys literally bring dogs to fight?"
Halo: "I... I mean I do sometimes work on dogs but... Ok, that's fair..."
Seeker: "So... Do you know anything about it?"
Halo gets closer to the dead wolf, examining it a little as he poked it with the muzzle of the SMG.
Halo: "Well... It looks like a wolf but bigger?"
Seeker: "No shit comrade, look at the size of that thing. Hell, it's as big as a bear!"
Halo: "Ye- Wait, how do you know?"
Seeker: "Yes."
Halo: "Mate that's not a real answer."
Seeker: "Yes it is and it's all you're getting."
Halo: "I... Never mind."
Halo muttered, turning his attention back to the dead wolf as it starts to disappear into thin air.
Halo: "What the... Is it just disappearing? How the hell is it doing that?"
Seeker: "I don't know comrade, but at least we don't have to deal with the smell of rotten bodies with these damn things."
Halo: "Yeah... Wait where's Gremlin?"
Seeker: "Hmm?"
Halo: "Gremlin. Where is he?"
Seeker: "He's back at... Where he was sleeping..."
Halo: "..."
Seeker: "..."
Halo/Seeker: "Oh shit!/Вот дерьмо!"
They both yelled as they ran back to where Gremlin was, rushing through the underbrush and the forest. Forcing themselves through the thick vegetation all around as Halo repeatedly tried to call Gremlin on his radio.
Halo: "Gremlin! Do you copy!? Where are you for God's sake!? Are you ok!? What's your location!?"
Radio: "Conta - Static - Big wolv - Static - Getting surro - Static - Heading to yo - Static - Over?"
Halo: "Say again? Interference is tampering with all of our radios. Repeat last message. Over?"
Radio: "Heading t - Static - Hostiles following m - Static - Over?"
Halo: "I... Just head over to us alright? We've got to regroup!"
Radio: "Roger th - Static - Enroute."
Halo: "Oh God damn it!"
Seeker: "What comrade?"
Halo: "Something is jamming our radio but I managed to tell Gremlin to meet up with us. We should see him at any mo-"
Gremlin: "THEY'RE IN THE TREES. THEY'RE IN THE FUCKING TREES!"
He screamed as he ran to Halo and Seeker, pulling an empty magazine out of his SFAR as he placed a fresh one into it. Slamming it into the rifle as he aimed back at the forest behind him, his finger itching to fire at anything or anyone that dared come out of the shadows and threaten his life.
Gremlin: "Where the hell were you guys!? You left me to fight those things by myself!"
Halo: "Sorry. We ran into some of those bloody things too. Are you ok?"
Gremlin: "Yeah I'm fine! Just had to waste two mags and a few frags on those hell wolves! Definability didn't get traumatized from the entire fight! Thanks for asking!"
Gremlin snapped back, almost hitting Halo with the butt of his rifle but took a deep breath as he focused back at the trees, looking for any signs of movement.
Seeker: "Both of you shut up before I kick your asses! C'mon, we got to get out here! I'm not planning to become their dinner for these... Whatever they are!"
Gremlin and Halo nodded in agreement as Seeker ran into the forest, following closely behind the sniper as the howls of the black creatures rang throughout the forest, gradually getting louder and louder by the minute.
The trio ran through the forest, swatting the tree branches and the large bushes that were in their way as they kept looking back behind them. The sound of footsteps and howls was approaching them from multiple sides and it was impossible to figure out where and how many there were.
Gremlin: "Oh God! This is definitely not good! Not good at all!"
Seeker: "Oh what gave it away? The various howls and monstrosities of nature that attacked us earlier gave it away? That was hard to figure out!"
Halo: "Both of you shut up! Just keep running and don't look... Anywhere just run!"
The two soldiers closed their mouths as they all increased their pace, the adrenaline starting to kick in as they ran faster and faster. Soon, the footsteps were gone and the howls were distant enough for the trio to stop and catch their breath. They jumped into a small ditch, quickly aiming their weapons at the empty darkness while resting from their recent skirmish.
Halo: Huff "D-Do you think we lost them?"
Seeker: "Probably not. If they're similar to wolves they'll still be tracking our scent. We just bought some time and distance between them and ourselves."
Gremlin: "J-Just what the hell were those things?"
Gremlin yelled, slamming his fist into the ground as he let out his anger from their encounter.
Gremlin: "First! We get transported here. No idea where the hell we are, lost, low on ammo, and no sign of civilization anywhere! Now! We got to deal with wolves that are as big as bears!? What is this? A movie?"
Halo: "Just calm down. We'll get out of this safely. Those things seem to die from our weapons so that's good right? At least we have ways to defend ourselves."
Seeker: "The American is right. Our weapons are effective against them. As long as we use our ammo sparingly, we should get out of this situation without any problem."
Halo: "I have a name by the way. It's Ha-"
Seeker: "Yeah I don't care. Check your ammo, we need to take into account how much we have before we start moving again."
Seeker said as he started to look through his backpack, counting the extra magazines and extra cartridges he had stored in there while Halo and Gremlin followed his lead, doing the exact same thing.
Seeker: "I've got about five magazines for the ADS, six for both of my sniper rifle and sidearm. Plus a few incendiary grenades and a recon drone. How about you lads?"
Gremlin: "Four rockets, four magazines for my SFAR, six for my Glock-18, some C5, and three frags left."
Halo: "Five P90 magazines, about twenty-four 12-gauge shells, 7 magazines for my pistol, some smoke grenades, three flashbangs, and just a flare. Don't know how that would be useful but it'll have some use later."
Seeker: "Ok... Fire in small bursts, don't want to go through all of our ammo too fast, or else we'll get swarmed. Halo, I want you to use your flashbangs and smokes to disorient them but keep at least one just in case we need to fall back."
Halo: "Roger."
Seeker: "Gremlin. See those rock formations over there?"
Seeker pointed to a series of rock formations that were hanging from a nearby cliff.
Gremlin: "Yeah? What about them?"
Seeker: "When I give you the signal, fire a rocket at them. HE would be good against large groups but we don't have enough. We'll use the rocks to slow them down if we need to run."
Gremlin: "Understood."
Seeker: "Alright, take your positions in the forest. Check your sectors and your ammo and make sure you don't wander too off. Stay close and call out any movement you see. If we're going down, we're going down fighting!"
Halo: "Hoorah!"
Gremlin: "Dla Polski! (For Poland)"
The three soldiers shouted as they dug in, setting up traps, and taking positions hidden in the forest as they waited for the impending fight. Willing to fight to the last breath if it ever came to it...
Bulkhead #1823 / Skies over Emerald Forest, Vale
Over the skies of Emerald Forest, the silent flutter of birds was the only sound filling the dark void. Suddenly, a consistent buzzing noise broke the silent peace, causing the group of birds to disperse and fly away in different directions from the noise.
A large aircraft were patrolling the forest, going around the forest as searchlights were giving them a better view of the dark forest below. The aircraft made sure that not one spot was left behind as it continued its search.
Pilot #1: "Ma'am, I'm sorry to ask but what are we even looking for?"
Glynda: "If you need to know, there's been a report of a strange group of people in Emerald Forest. We're here to take them into our custody and question them. Oh, did I also mention that there has been a large group of Grimm near their position so we can't let them die, can we?
She snapped back, sarcastically replying to the pilot's question as he gave him an unamused look. Staring daggers at him as he looked away with an embarrassed look on his face.
Pilot #1: "N-No. Sorry ma'am..."
Glynda sighed as he went back to her seat, holding her scroll that showed the last picture of the three soldiers. Her interest rose while more questions surrounded the unknown soldiers. Who were they? What were their motives and where did they come from?
Pilot #1: "Um ma'am? You might want to see this."
She quickly placed her scroll on a nearby seat as she went back to the cockpit, an annoyed look plastered all over her face as she looked back at the pilot.
Glynda: "What? Can't you see I'm bu- Dear Oum..."
Under the spotlight, hordes of beowolves were seen as far as the eye could see. Their eyes filled with bloodlust as they were heading in one direction, not bothering to even acknowledge the bulkhead over them.
Pilot #1: "H-How many are there!? There as to be over two. No, three hundred Grimm!"
Glynda: "Pilot... Head to where they're going."
Pilot #1: "What? Why!?"
Glynda: "Because I'm pretty sure that whatever we're looking for, those Grimm are heading for the same thing."
Pilot #1: "B-But!"
Glynda gave the pilot a menacing stare, daring him to continue his sentence as it would be the last thing he ever does. The pilot gulped as nodded, adjusting the throttle to the direction of the horde of Grimm. Speeding to investigate whatever was attracting them.
(Halo)Author #1: So... How did I do?
(Seeker)Author #2: ты молодец
(Gremlin)Author #3: Not the worst.
(Halo)Author #1: Eh, I think I could've done better.
(Halo)Author #1: I... Ok?
(Gremlin)Author #3: Owszem, można było zrobić to lepiej, ale można było też zrobić to znacznie gorzej.
(Halo)Author #1: Yeah. Anyways, have a good day, lads.
(Seeker)Author #2: До свидания, товарищ, до новых встреч.
(Gremlin)Author #3:Wracaj tu, ty brudny tchórzu!
Thanks to PhantomSeeker and GK09 for helping me with making this. Hope you all have a good day .
