A/N- This is just a short, little chapter that I came up with. Could it be longer? Almost certainly. Could it be done better? Again, almost certainly but I thought it was something that I wanted to explore.

Summary - In the dying days of the great three-way war between the Devils, Fallen Angels and the forces of Heaven, an event with large ramifications is about to occur...
Death in Heaven
God sat on his heavenly throne, listening intently as his angelic generals reported on the progress of the war. "This war has been going on for far too long. Soon enough, everyone will be made extinct. Devils, fallen and Angels will all be wiped out." One pessimistic and defeatist general reported.
"The Great Devil Lucifer has fallen. The war will end soon." Another, more optimistic general replied, rebuking his comrade.
"Whilst we should start thinking about the end of the war, the job is not done yet. Fallen and Devil infiltrators have made numerous attempts to slip into heaven. Our Angel soldiers are attempting to scour all hints of their presence from our heavenly kingdom yet taints remain."
God then chose to speak up, "What of Azazel? I hear he has ordered a retreat of all remaining Fallen Angels."
"That indeed seems to be the case. However, rogue elements seem to be disobeying his orders and continue their attacks on us and the Devils." The second general reported. "Where is Michael? I would have thought he would've been here for this meeting."
"Michael is currently attending to other matters on my orders. He is looking into ways of the Heavenly peoples continuing after this war ends. He will join us shortly though." God told his generals.
A moment of silence lingered and then screams of agony broke out outside the heavenly throne room. One of the angelic soldiers burst in, terrified. "My Heavenly Father, you must leave immediately! "There is an intruder coming this way! He's already killed-" The soldier was killed before he could finish speaking, arrows piercing his neck and back.
"Ah, you must the so-called almighty god?" A stranger asked, holding a unique crossbow as he walked over the angel soldier he'd just killed. He wore a white mask, a black trenchcoat and green trousers and green armoured gauntlets.
"You're a murderer!" One of the angelic generals called out in righteous fury.
"You're still in a three-way war. Therefore it's not murder but merely a consequence of war."
"Who are you?" God asked the stranger.
"I've been many things and have been known by many names. Just know that I am not a devil or fallen angel and that what I'm doing today is not personal but because someone else wants the devils, angels and fallen to become their playthings. He already got me to trigger many a great war, this one you're fighting included." The stranger replied, surprising god and his generals.
"Who is this person, this entity you speak of." God asked.
The stranger shrugged. "It doesn't matter. He's one player in the multiverse I should've stayed away from but you won't be around to know who he is. He's already got me to kill lucifer and slaughter Azazel's generals and now you must be removed too." The Stranger then pulled out a sword and began engaging everyone in the room.
God saw that they should've run away from this stranger, this unbridled force of nature. Even with the combined powers and fighting abilities of God and his generals, nothing could make the stranger stop fighting, let alone kill him. One by one, God's generals fell at the hands of the stranger, getting diced and sliced as though they were merely ingredients for the making of dinner. Eventually, it was just God and the stranger and God wanted answers, "Why are you doing this?"
"As I said before, this isn't personal. You're not the first version of you I've killed. I've been going through the multiverse and he wanted new entertainment to please him. Just know that I don't intend on becoming the golden tooth of some trickster."
"Loki?" God asked surprised. As soon as the stranger mentioned the word 'trickster' he immediately assumed that it was something to do with the Norse God.
"Not that petulant, arrogant wannabe. No, someone far more powerful and far less interested in religion of any kind. Even I'm not powerful enough to wipe him out single handed." The stranger then surveyed the bloody scene around him before continuing to speak to God. "I'd hate to be the person cleaning up this mess. The last version of you I killed was killed on the battlefield. Just know that your death will be the eventual catalyst for peace in this universe." God tried to consider what the stranger meant but before he could, he let out a quiet, pained gasp and found blood was dribbling down his once magnificent beard. He looked further down his body and saw a dagger, bathed with blood, piercing his stomach. God looked at the stranger again and found a knife piercing his throat almost immediately. Blood began spurting everywhere as God began thrashing around the room, gasping fruitlessly. The finishing blow came from a heavenly sword that the stranger had picked up and thrust through God's back. "Death is always the final enemy to be destroyed and no one has beaten it yet." The stranger said to the now lifeless body of God. He then walked away calmly, fearing no reprisals from the forces of Heaven.
"Who are you?" An Angelic yet questioning voice asked the stranger as he left God's heavenly throne room.
"That's the last thing I would ask right now if I were you. Just know that you probably have a lot of hard work to do now. Everything falls after all." The stranger told the Angel before disappearing in a flash.
The Angel stood bewildered for a moment before cautiously entering the throne room. He was distraught and horrified by the sight. Corpses littered the entire room and God had been killed most brutally, three bladed weapons embedded in his body. The tears ran like a river down the Angel's face and it took him a while before he could summon others. "Gabriel, it's Michael. Something terrible has happened. Come to the throne room immediately."
"What's happened?" A female voice replied in his ears.
"God's dead! I think that I just saw the assassin leave!" Michael replied.
"I'm on my way!" Gabriel replied, shocked.
It was a sad day in Heaven and its darkest hour since the great three-way war began.
A/N- Definitely not my best work but something I had fun exploring. I hope you have enjoyed this one shot and please review.
