Hiccups jaw hangs slightly ajar as his mind takes a couple of seconds to process what she just said. After his mind had finally caught up he wanted to say something but she had left and even if she hadnt he couldnt formulate any words above caveman-esque grunts. His eyes were twitching as he realised he could not say any rebuttal but deep inside he didnt want to. He had just gained his loves mothers permission to do all sexual acts except for regular sex. He obviouslly would not bring this up to Astrid at all as that would be far to embarrassing. His cheeks turned from a bright pink to a scarlet colour as he thought about the scenario. After finally realising he had just been sitting here with his mouth open not moving or saying anything he came back to reality. He said loudly "Thank you for your time and the letter from Astrid". He heard a faint response that he took as a your welcome just as he was closing the door. Once outside he asked himself did that really just happen? After confirming he wasnt dreaming he then remembered the letter and looked at the sun. He needed to meet Astrid at Toothless cove by mid day and by the look on the sun he had about an hour before he would have to be there. The letter did not say to come alone so he can take toothless on a ride which will save alot of time as it also meant he didnt need to take him out later on another ride. The flight would take around 10 minutes meaning he had 50 left plenty to go to his house and read the letter he had been anxious to read before the conversation with Freya. He still couldnt figure out what he wanted to call her yet, she was obviously comfortable with him marrying her daughter so mom or mother in law would work eventually but he didnt think he would ever call her that. I could call her by her first name Freya but it seemed a bit to casual for their current relationship and Miss Hofferson was a bit to formal. He decided to stick with Miss Hofferson until she complained or until he and Astrid were engaged, he liked that idea.

Hiccup then set of with a stride towards his house. He assumed that Gobber would be at the forge doing his job, any of his dads friends would be doing their own work and wouldnt enter without his father and he assumed his dad was most likely working on some chiefly duties. So he would most likely have the house to himself meaning that he can read the letter even faster. Eventually after 5 minutes of walking he made it back to his house slightly out of breath as he didnt realise how fast he was walking. He looked down at his fake leg and saw some of the metal looking worn from being nearly dragged the whole way here. Hiccup didnt bother trying to fix it, he was too preoccupied wanting to open the letter. He gathered some candles around his inventing table lit them and then opened the letter and began reading the words he had been so desperate to read.

My dear hiccup, if you are reading this then i assume my mother handed you this letter. I hope she didnt pester you to much and just told you that it is not my doing for us staying apart and that i am out hunting with my father for the day which means that i was able to ensure you should get this letter. Ive begun to get upset at my fathers childish actions about forcing us to stay appart. I want nothing more than to talk with you some more and feel your warm embrace. No to mention the pain of forcing myself to run from you made these desires even more difficult to manage. I want to meet with you tomorrow once i dont have to hunt with my father. Meet me where our relationship status changed for the better so shortly ago. I hope you can meet me there mid day so we can talk more freely without worry of someone pinning my words to me for the rest of my life. As much as i trust my mother with my life she is not the strongest person so i cant put everything in this letter as i want. I cant wait to meet you then goodybe.

Hiccup i added this bit today after i returned my mother informed me of your reaction to hearing that my father forced us to be sepearted and my heart nearly shattered upon reading it. I told her to hand you that letter first before talking to you next time. She promised me should would so the plan is still on i hope. See you there love.

Hiccups inital reaction was one of confusion as to why she felt that someone would attempt to force her mother to give them the letter. Everyone in Berk loved Miss Hofferson she would volunteer commonly during the festivals and would watch over the kids during them. As far as everyone knew she was one of if not the most liked person in Berk. Hiccup then decided to stop lingering on about the letter and thought that if Astrid didnt want someone to find the letter then since he knew the information it would be best to burn it. It pained him to do so but he lifted it up to the candle light and watched it catch on fire and burn until it was a pile of ash. Once that was done he thought that it would be funny to beat her to her meeting so he hopped up on toothless and arranged his leg and begun to fly.

He told Toothless "This is going to be a short flight today bud as i have someplace i need to be i hope thats ok especially since i took you out on longer flights the past few days." Toothless looked a little bit annoyed but mostly understanding and curious. Hiccup told him that they were going back to where they first bonded his cove. The mention of it brought a small spark to his eye and it was obvious he had grown attached to the location after spending a few days there and meeting his now best friend. After they landed they looked around and remembering how sneaky Astrid is Hiccup told Toothless "Watch out bud she could literally be right behind us and we would have no clue". After that he felt a hand on his shoulder and a small whisper in his ear from a female voice saying "You have no idea how correct you are".
