Lux didn't care much for Quidditch. She never had, not even as a human, when she'd gone to matches during her first stint at Hogwarts. She'd played a round once with some of her friends, friends that were all long dead and gone. They'd all snuck out from their dorms, stolen brooms from the Hufflepuff's locker rooms, and flew until the sun peaked out from the horizon.

But, despite not liking Quidditch, something drew her to the match that was occurring — Gryffindor vs Slytherin. Maybe it was the urge to have some house pride, since crowds had never been her thing, and spending time with those boys was bound to be insufferable.

Luckily for her, Sirius and James were on the team, so she wouldn't have to deal with them. Unlucky for her, that meant she had less people to be a buffer between her and Remus. At least Sirius kept her distracted from the horrible urge to flee every time Remus so much as glanced in her direction, even if his affection was for the most part unwanted.

She should've been embarrassed about what had occurred at Hogsmeade the week prior — and she was, partially, anyways. Vampires were known for their lack of alcohol tolerance, and she shouldn't have let it consume her that way, and fuck around with her brain. Even so, she found her mind instead fixed on that redhead boy, and how similar he looked to Elias…

Lux shook her head, as if to banish the thought of Elias out of her mind, and instead redirected her attention on the Quidditch match. Regulus, Sirius's younger brother, was also playing, and to keep her mind off of what had occurred at Hogsmeade, she instead fixed her mind onto watching Regulus fly about. He was talented, that was for sure, with a graceful finesse to flying that every other person currently in the air seemed to lack.

"Why are you staring at Regulus Black?" Peter leaned in, following her line of sight towards the younger Slytherin boy.

"I'm not." She swiftly tore her gaze away from him, instead searching the pitch for Sirius. He was easy to find, circling around the Gryffindor seeker with his bat in hand, prepared to pummel any bludgers that came their way.

"Don't tell me you fancy Regulus." Peter continued, groaning. "Sirius would be devastated."

"Why would I fancy Regulus? I hardly know the kid — we've had just one conversation. Besides, he's too young for me."

"What did you and Regulus talk about?" Remus joined the conversation, and Lux cringed at the reminder that the boy was there.

"I don't see how that's any of your business." She said, stiffening her posture. She'd told Remus to stay away from her, but that was easier said than done, when Sirius and Peter insisted on glueing themselves to her at the hip. Peter was tolerable, at least, if not a bit desperate. Lux pitied him, the way he followed the other boys around like a lost puppy, so she decided not to push back on his attempt at a friendship.

And Sirius…well, it was evident he wanted to be more than friends. Still, Lux wasn't quite sure what to make of that. The last time she'd ventured into the realms of romance—

Wherever Sirius and Peter went, Remus and James were also bound to be, so the four of them were always next to her, looming over her shoulder with various questions. James, he was alright, she supposed. But Remus…

Trust was never something she'd been good at. She'd trusted a few people in her life, and out of all of them, only Fulk was still alive. And she certainly had no reason to trust that Remus wasn't going to attack her at a moment's notice. He essentially said as much, that he craved to do so, in Hogsmeade.

At least Lily seemed to catch a hint and was now leaving her alone. There hadn't been any more attempts to poison her, anyways.

The match ended with a Gryffindor victory, the seeker catching the snitch and holding it in the air with a victorious grin. Lux clapped alongside the rest of the Gryffindor stands, and at the sound of the Slytherin's booing, she couldn't help but laugh to herself.

"You're coming to the party, yeah?" Sirius said as she followed Remus and Peter off the stands, the black haired boy making a beeline for her, ignoring the two boys entirely. He had a split lip, likely from some Quidditch mishap she'd missed while watching Regulus, and while no blood was visible, it was still going to drive her mad, so she averted her eyes from his lips and to his eyes.

"Do you Gryffindor's have a party for everything?" Lux asked her own question instead of answering his, eyebrows jumping up.

"Of course we do. We're the party house, after all." He flashed her a smirk, and held out a hand. "Be my date?"

Lux couldn't help it, it was as though her eyes were being tugged towards Remus by some sort of invisible force. It only lasted for a moment, though, her eyes stuck on his annoyed expression, before turning back to Sirius, lips curved up into a smirk. If her saying yes to Sirius would annoy Remus, she'd do it, though she couldn't figure out why such animosity towards him festered in her. But she simply couldn't resist.

"Alright." She placed her hand atop the one he'd outstretched for her to take, and his face lit up like a child being told that Christmas had come early.

"Is she okay?" Lux heard James whisper to Peter, voice pinched with concern. "Has she eaten something funny?"

"She doesn't eat, though." Peter responded.

"I eat." Lux hissed, cheeks going scarlet in annoyance.

"When?" Peter challenged. "I've literally never seen you so much as touch a meal. I don't know how you're alive, truly."

Easy; I'm not. Lux thought to herself, allowing a smirk to slide onto her lips. But instead, she kept quiet, following the swarm of students into the Gryffindor common room.

The fireplace was blazing, as it almost always was, and Lux felt her skin burn. She absentmindedly scratched her arms, her nails digging into her flesh, not deep enough to draw blood, if she had been able to bleed, that is, but enough to leave long red marks against her pale skin.

"Are you alright?" Peter eyed her up and down with concern.

"Fine." She answered swiftly, diverting her attention to Sirius, avoiding looking at his split lip, and thinking about how easy it would be to bite into him, to sip on his blood— "Could you get me a drink, Sirius?"

"Of course, milady." He grinned at her, before stepping towards the boy handing out bottles of firewhiskey, and returned with two in hand, one for her and one for himself. "Here you are, Luxie."

She was so relieved to have some alcohol, she didn't even mind the horrid nickname he'd given her. Food, she couldn't eat any of without puking her guts out, but drinks, well, they were free rein for a vampire. Hopefully, this would distract her from Sirius's lips, and how good they must taste—

She swiftly took a sip from her drink.

"Did you enjoy the game, then?" James asked her, but before she could answer, he continued. "Was Lily with you?"

"Why would Lily have been with me?" Her brow furrowed together at the random mention of the redhead girl.

"You're friends, aren't you?"

"No."

"Oh. Er, sorry. I thought you were."

"James is obsessed with Lily." Peter explained. "Has been since the first year."

"I'm not obsessed!" James protested, but due to the tremble in his voice, his statement lacked the desired effect. "I just…oh, nevermind!" He threw his hands in the air in exasperation.

"Obsessed." Sirius whispered loudly into Lux's ear, his breath tickling her neck. When she turned to look at him, he backed away slightly, though he was still closer to her than he had been before. "If only Lily would give poor James a chance, yeah? Who knows how good he could be for her?"

"If only." Lux agreed with the roll of her eyes and a sip of her drink. The fire crackled from behind her, and she did her best to avoid it, instead nursing her drink until the bottle was empty. When she looked up at Sirius, he had finished his as well, and looked down at hers with raised eyebrows.

"D'you want another?"

"I would." She nodded, and Sirius went off to fetch them more drinks.

Remus, who was conversing with James, looked up as Sirius pushed passed him. "Oi, Pads, where are you off to?"

But Sirius didn't answer, instead making a beeline for the man still passing out firewhiskey as though his life depended on it.

Daggers shot through Remus's eyes as his gaze shifted towards Lux, harsh enough that her skin began to burn once again. "What are you playing at, Lux?"

"What do you mean?" Her voice was slightly slurred as she spoke, the alcohol beginning to take affect.

"I mean, why have you suddenly become all buddy buddy with Sirius? Oh Merlin, don't tell me you fancy him."

She folded her arms over her chest, biting down on her tongue. "If I did, it wouldn't be any of your business, now would it?"

James and Peter had now wandered off to collect drinks of their own, leaving the pair alone, as Remus took a threatening step towards her. Run, her body screamed at her. Run. But Lux would not run. She would not flee. She was the monster that breathing men would fear. She was Lux Erzsebet, and she was not afraid of men.

"I don't trust you." Remus said, his voice low.

"I know you don't."

"I want you to stay away from my friends."

She cocked her head to the side, a mocking smirk appearing on her barely parted lips. "They're the ones who have glued themselves to me — Sirius especially. You'd have better luck telling them to keep away from me instead of me them, since I can't seem to shake them."

He opened his mouth, likely to argue this statement with her, but before he could, Sirius sidestepped in between them, the drinks he held sloshing about in their bottles from his choppy movements. "Here you are." He handed one of the bottles to her with a sly grin.

She accepted, taking it and chugging half the drink in one go.

"Merlin, you're fast." Sirius watched in amazement, as he gently sipped on his own drink. A drop of blood broke from his split lip, dripping down his cheek before he wiped it away with the sleeve of his jumper. While Lux figured she should be looking at his eyes, all she could do was focus on that damn blood, and the sensation of her stomach rumbling. "You might want to slow down, Luxie."

"You're bleeding." She commented, ignoring his statement entirely.

Sirius's brow furrowed together. "Is that okay?"

"Er…yeah…" Her voice trailed off, as she was unsure what exactly to say to that. She imagined Sirius felt the same way about her strangely pointing such a thing out.

Lux glanced over at Remus, who was staring right back at her without shame, and a shudder ran down her spine. Somewhere, between the alcohol, the fire blazing behind her, and the blood staining Sirius's lips, she was growing overstimulated, every inch of her body itching to get out. To run away and hide in her dorms, far away from where Remus could find and catch her.

But…oh good God, that blood. She needed it, she needed just a little bit. Usually, she could restrain it, but being tipsy made her bloodlust difficult to ignore. Then, an idea struck her, so brilliant she couldn't resist seeing it out.

Sirius opened his mouth to spout whatever nonsense he typically said, but before he could get a word out, Lux took a step towards him, and pressed her lips against his.

His eyes grew wide, but just as quickly as she'd begun to snog him, he melted into the kiss as well, shutting his eyes and wrapping an arm around her waist to pull her close.

Lux ran her tongue along his lower lip, the metallic taste of his blood seeping into her mouth, and she sighed with relief just as Sirius shuddered from the contact. But not only was the kiss satisfying from the blood, but she found that he was actually quite a good kisser. Surprisingly better than Elias had been, if her memory served her correctly, and certainly better than the forced kisses from Philip—

Don't think about them. She told herself firmly, and like magic, the thoughts of the previous men in her life were banished from her mind, locking herself fully in the present.

One of Sirius's hands found their place in her hair, his fingers dancing between her locks and sending tingles in every spot he touched. Lux didn't fancy Sirius, she knew that, but in this moment, she could envision herself forming some sort of bond with him, a bond she hadn't had in a long, long time. Maybe not everyone at Hogwarts was out to get her, maybe Sirius would protect her from Remus and Lily and poisoned grapes.

The kiss deepened, Sirius growing more passionate with every passing second, his hands caressing her hair and her waist while hers travelled up and down his back, keeping him close to her.

Until eventually, after an amount of time Lux hadn't comprehended, Sirius pulled away, and brought his lips towards her ear. "Fancy coming back to my dorm?"

Her stomach lurched. Did he want to…

Maybe she should. Maybe it would help her.

Sirius seemed trustworthy enough. She had no reason to worry, not around him. He wouldn't hurt her.

She nodded, meeting his eye for the first time since they'd began snogging. He wore the brightest grin she'd ever seen, and his eyes had grown wide with a mixture of shock and awe.

"Right, let's go." His hand entwined with hers, and he began to tug her towards the stairs that led to the boys dorms, though they didn't get far, when Sirius stopped in his tracks.

Lux turned to see what had caused his sudden halt in movements, to find Remus standing behind them, a hand on top of Sirius's shoulder. "Mate, what are you doing?" Remus demanded, eyes flickering back and forth between him and Lux.

"Bugger off, Remus." Sirius tugged his shoulder out of his grip, and Remus's eyes narrowed, not on Sirius, but on Lux.

"What the fuck is wrong with you, Erzsebet?"

"I—"

"Leave her alone, Moony." Sirius glared at him, nostrils flaring. Lux bit down on her lip, unsure if she should intervene, demand it was fine or simply sit back and watch. Maybe walking away entirely was the solution, but she couldn't bring herself to abandon the pair during their argument. It was over her, after all. "Do you have to be such a prat to her all the bloody time?"

"Oh, that's rich, coming from you. Trailing after some girl you just met like a bloody dog. Honestly, get some bloody self respect, Pads!"

Again with that damn nickname. Even drunk and witnessing a fight break down, Lux couldn't help but wonder about it.

"Seriously, Remus, back off." Sirius insisted, and this time, Remus obeyed, pressing his lips together and taking a step backwards.

"Fine, fine." He held his hands in the air in mock surrender, though as Lux trailed behind Sirius, she could feel his eyes piercing into her back in the harshest glare she'd ever seen. She felt as though she'd be set ablaze by his look alone.
