A MILLION DREAMS

"Danny! Come on! We're gonna be late to the Manson's to set up their new security system!" Jack called out to his thirteen year old son.

Danny ran down the stairs and caught up with his father, they both then headed to the car and began to head for the Manson's home, where his friend Samantha Manson, or Sam as she preferred to be called lived. Besides being a ghost hunter and scientist, Jack and Maddie ran their own security business, where the installed their own home-made security systems into people's homes and since they lived in the most haunted town in America, their new ghost-alarm systems were definitely becoming popular.

You see, although Sam's mother liked Danny, it was her father who didn't like him at all. Danny and Sam's mother, were the only ones who seem to accept her being a goth, but her father wanted her to be someone different.

After arriving at the large mansion belonging to Sam and her family, they both knocked on the door and waited for the butler to let them in.

As Jack began to finish installing the security system, Danny could see in the living room Sam was bored. Danny and Sam both had secret crushes on each other, but neither of them could have the courage to admit it to each other.

Danny then decided to bring Sam out of her boredom and do something funny. He noticed Sam's mother drinking some tea and decided to mimic her. Sam noticed and just as Danny pretended to drink a cup of tea, he opened his mouth, to reveal a piece of paper poking out and pretended it was a long tongue, causing Sam to laugh hysterically.

Sam's father frowned and snapped, "Samantha! Can't you refrain yourself from laughing uncontrollably when it is quiet time?! Have you forgotten your manners? No wonder you goths are frowned upon."

Sam looked down, frowning that once again that her father put her down. Pamela was about to say something when Danny stepped in and spoke, "It was my fault sir. I made Sam laugh. I was just trying to be funny."

Jeremy stood up and faced Daniel before speaking, "Well thank you for your honesty boy."

Without hesitation, he suddenly slapped Danny right across the face causing Sam and Pamela to gasp in complete shock.

Jack then shouted, "Don't you ever touch my son again!"

Jeremy then sneered at Danny, "Stay away from my daughter."

"Honey! That is no way to treat a child! Apologise at once!" Pamela demanded.

Jeremy looked at his wife in anger before walking away. Pamela looked down ashamed at her husband's actions and said to Jack, "I'm terribly sorry about this. He's been in a bad mood all week, but that is no excuse for what he did."

"It's not your fault Mrs Manson." Jack spoke.

"He's right. It's okay. It doesn't hurt as much anyway." Danny said, rubbing his cheek where Jeremy had slapped him.

Pamela then paid Jack for his services and suggested to Sam, "Why don't you go over to Danny's house Sam? I'll try and talk to your father."

Sam nodded and followed Jack and Danny to their car. After spending some time, playing video games at Danny's house, Sam suddenly heard her phone ring and answered it. Her smile dropped and she hung up before heading outside in the backyard.

Danny gave Sam a few moments before meeting her outside and sitting next to her on the porch. He then asked, "What's wrong Sam?"

"My dad's had enough of my gothic behaviour. My mum tried talking him out of it, but…..he's sending me away to a boarding school in New York." Sam said sadly.

"That's not fair! It's my fault Sam! I shouldn't have made you laugh." Danny spoke, completely shocked by what her father was doing to her.

"No it's not Danny." Sam said, placing a hand on his shoulder, trying to calm him down. "Now I don't what my future holds."

"I do." Danny said with a small smiled. "Because no matter what, he can't change who you are and we'll never stop being friends."

DANNY

I close my eyes and I can see

A world that's waiting up for me

That I call my own

Through the dark, through the door

Through where no-one's been before

But it feels like home.

Danny stood up and held out his hand for Sam to grab. With a small smile, she accepted his hand and stood up. Both of them began walking down the streets, heading to the old abandoned house on Maple Street.

They can say

They can say it all sounds crazy

They can say

They can say I've lost my mind

I don't care

I don't care if they me crazy

We can live in a world that we design

Pushing the doors open, they began to walk through the dark and gloomy house. Danny pulled out his torch and turned it on, accidentally hitting a statue which the shadow made it look like a monster, causing Sam to scream.

Both of them laughed at that and continued to explore the house, Sam always loved exploring dark and mysterious places.

Cause every night I lie in bed

The brightest colours fill my head

A million dreams are keeping me awake

Sam pulled out her polaroid camera and took a few photos of the two of them in the house and when they got back to Danny's place, he placed one of them on his wall, right next to his NASA poster.

I think of what the world could be

A vision of the one I see

A million dreams is all its gonna take

Oh a million dreams for the world we're gonna make

The next day, Sam looked down in sadness as she got into the limo with her parents, where they were about to take her to the bus station to send her to boarding school.

Pamela then asked, "Dear, can we please wait for Sam's friend? Just so they can say goodbye to each other?"

"Sam will make better friends at her new school. There's no point Pamela." Jeremy insisted. "It's for her own good."

With that, the limo began to take off down the driveway, just as Danny rode in on his scooter. He jumped off and ran after the limo, trying to reach it so he could say goodbye to Sam. Sam turned and looked out the back window and saw Danny running after it.

They can say

They can say it all sounds crazy

They can say

They can say we've lost our minds

I don't care

I don't care if they call us crazy

Run away to a world that we design

Sam waved and mouthed, "I'm sorry. Goodbye Danny. I'll see you soon."

Danny stopped running and waved back as he panted heavily and would count down the days till Sam would be back for Christmas and the summer.

Even at the boarding school, Sam never changed who she was. She still remained a Goth, an ultra-recyclo vegetarian and Danny's best friend. The two video-chatted every week, despite her father telling her to stop speaking with him.

And whenever Sam came back home, the two would secretly hang out with each other. Only her mother knowing, while keeping her father in the dark. During one visit, Danny accidentally got hit by his parent's ghost portal and obtained ghost powers, making him half-human, half-ghost.

Cause every night I lie in bed

The brightest colours fill my head

A million dreams are keeping me awake

I think of what the world could be

A vision of the one I see

A million dreams is all its gonna take

Oh a million dreams for the world we're gonna make

At that point, Danny now felt like his dream of becoming an astronaut or at least working at NASA was slipping away. Even though he decided to use his powers to protect Amity Park from ghost attacks, his grades had dropped, he was afraid his parents would try and hurt him because he was part ghost and they were ghost hunters and he didn't know what his future would hold.

One day, Danny got a letter from Sam as she was back at her boarding school. He opened it and it read,

"Danny,

I know things are hard right now. But please don't change who you are, no matter what happens. You are Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom. Both a hero and a great friend."

He smiled and felt inspired by her letter. He then noticed something else in the envelope and saw it was a logo for his costume. A capital D with a P inside and an edge. Now more determined, he began to figure everything out.

When Sam came back the next summer, she stood by him as he told his family his secret and everything that happened. Surprisingly, his parents and his older sister accepted him for who he was and began to help him with his ghost fights. His grades began to improve and life became a little easier for him. Whenever Sam came home, she would help him fight ghosts.

As time went by, the two began to fall more in love with each other. Danny was there for her when her parents decided to divorce and her father left full custody to her mother and half the family fortune and she was finally able to go back to school with Danny instead of boarding school. Sam was there for Danny when he got injured during his battles.

One day, an asteroid almost destroyed Earth, but with the help of the whole world and the Ghost Zone, they managed to save it by turning it intangible. Danny then decided it was time to reveal his secret to the world and his feelings for Sam.

After all the celebrations of the Earth being saved, Sam and Danny confessed their feelings and became a couple. Over the next five years, the two remained a strong couple, even though they went to different colleges.

After college, Danny's parents left him their family business and the security business in which he happily accepted. Danny's parents also decided to give Danny the house and move into an apartment. Sam got a job in Amity Park as an English teacher at Casper High and worked with Danny's sister at the school, since she was the student's councillor and psychologist.

Danny got the courage to ask Sam to move in with him and she accepted. He drove up to the house and knocked on the door, where Sam's mother happily greeted him with a hug.

After they released each other from the hug, Danny then said, "Mrs Manson, I promise that I will take care of your daughter as I've always have and love her always."

"I know you will and I'm glad she's found someone like you, who has always made her happy." Pamela said, still smiling.

They both then looked to see Sam coming down the stairs. Hobson their butler and their maid Serena helped carry out her luggage and boxes to the trailer attached to Danny's car. A few months later of living together, Danny one night had took the plunge and asked Sam to marry him and she said yes.

They went out for a walk in the park that night, celebrating the proposal and the start of a whole new adventure together.

DANNY

Every night I lie in bed

The brightest colours fill my head

A million dreams are keeping me awake

I think of what the world could be

A vision of the one I see

A million dreams is all its gonna take

Oh a million dreams for the world we're gonna make

A few months later the two of them were married and were now enjoying their honey moon in Europe. Visiting places such as Paris, London and Rome. Danny picked Sam up and flew her to the top of the Eifel Tower, where they just looked up at the starry night sky.

SAM

However big, however small

Let me part of it all

Share your dreams with me

You may be right, you may be wrong

But say that you'll bring me along

To the world you see

Danny and Sam returned home back to Amity Park and the two of them were just dancing on the roof of their home as the full moon shone high in the night sky, celebrating the start of their new life together as husband and wife. The two of them could never be happier and had shown that despite Sam's father attempt to separate them, their bond was stronger.

DANNY AND SAM

To the world we close our eyes to see

We close our eyes to see

Danny changed into his ghost form and held his arms out to his wife. Gesturing to go for a flight across Amity Park, just like they did the day he revealed his secret to the world. She smiled and nodded and held his hands.

Cause every night I lie in bed

The brightest colours fill my head

A million dreams are keeping me awake (A million dreams! A million dreams!)

He picked her up bridal style and began to soar across the sky. She smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder as they flew.

I think of what the world could be

A vision of the one I see

A million dreams is all its gonna take

A million dreams for the world we're gonna make

For the world we're gonna make
