Percy
Me and Annabeth were walking along the beach. It has been two days since Gaea's defeat. Roman campers were still around, helping repair Camp Half-Blood. Campers were trying to get back to normal.
We were still cleaning up from the parties we threw after Gaea was defeated. Despite the many friends and allies we lost, it was still a joyous time.
Annabeth and I wanted some time to ourselves. We decided to go on a romantic walk along the beach. It was great.
"Hey, Annabeth."
"Yes, Percy?" she inquired.
"This is nice."
"It sure is, seaweed brain." I used to hate it when she called me that. Not anymore. Now I couldn't help but smile.
"I wish it could be like this every day."
She explained, "Well, now that cleanup is almost complete, we might just be able to. The reconstruction actually given me and some of the other Athena kids an opportunity to redesign some of the buildings. Some of them need a serious architectural updateI. We might even take some cues from New Rome. The damage also revealed some issues in some of the less-maintained buildings as well.."
"Geez, wise girl. Can't even have one date without you gushing about architecture?"
Annabeth playfully punched me in the shoulder, and I couldn't help but start laughing.
"Well, seaweed brain," Annabeth began, "We'll have plenty of time for dates when we're done with the last of the damage control. With almost every major enemy of the gods gone, all that's really left are monsters. And facing what we faced, I don't think that's an issue."
"Yeah, I guess so..." I couldn't help but feel a bit doubtful of that. After all, it seemed like the gods wanted me to doe something for them every five minutes. But still, it was nice to believe she was right.
Annabeth asked me, "Hey, what's that?"
"What?"
"That, that looks like...A METEOR! A METEOR'S HEADING RIGHT FOR US!"
"WHAT!?" I yelled. I turned around, and sure enough, there was a massive ball of fire heading our way.
I instantly shoved Annabeth out of the way before summoning a wall of water to stop the meteor. I dived to the side just when it made contact with the water. I rolled to a halt, and immediately went to look at what almost crushed us, prepared to curse whatever god sent it our way.
Annabeth was already up, and she was heading to the crater created by the meteor. She got there a bit before me, and her eyes grew wide as she gasped.
"What?" I asked. Before she could say anything, something got up out of the crater. It wasn't a meteor. It was something else. It was a machine.
Piper
Jason and I were sitting on the roof of the Zeus cabin. It was a lovely day, and we were having a conversation about the future.
"Hey, Pipes, with me having to establish the temples to the minor gods at both Camp Jupiter and here, I'm not going to be able to see you as often as I'd like."
"I know Jason. I understand." I knew about his duty. As much as I would have wanted to just spend every day with him, he had sworn to do this. I had to respect that.
"I just wish you could put it off a little bit longer."
"Well," Jason went on, "with how many I need to establish, if I want to have any time to spend with yo, I have to work as soon and as fast as I possibly can. But I promise you, I will spend every spare second I have with you. I swear on the River Styx."
Thunder rumbled. It was nice to hear him say that, and I was about to lean in for a kiss, when Jason noticed something in the sky.
"Hey, Piper, is that a shooting star?"
I turned to look where he was looking. Sure enough, there was a small ball of fire with a blazing trail behind it.
"Hey," I suggested, "let's make a wish to have as much time together as we can."
Jason chuckled at this, but agreed, "Well, it's worth a shot."
As we started making our wish, I noticed something. The shooting star was getting bigger. Too big. And it was heading right for the shores of Camp Half-Blood. Before we could warn anyone, it hit the beach with a massive explosion.
Jason and I ran down to the beach to see if anyone was hurt. Other campers were running over. Hazel, Frank, Nico, Reyna, Will, and Clarisse, got there, along with some other campers. Along with them was Coach Hedge and Chiron.
We all reached the crater to see Annabeth and Percy staring at a massive smoking pit. They were both covered in ash and sand. Annabeth looked shocked while looking in to the crater, and everyone soon saw why. From the crater, emerged something, something none of us had ever seen before. A massive automaton rose from the crater.
Frank
I was one of the campers who ran to the explosion. We expected it to just be a normal meteor, or a monster, at that. Heck, maybe even a god. What we didn't expect was what actually caused the explosion.
A massive automaton emerged. And when I say massive, I mean massive. The head of the thing looked like I could easily fit in it with plenty of room left. Its hands were big enough to use the pegasi as toy horses.
The machine had what looked like a visor and faceplate covering its face, if it even had a face. The visor was glowing blood red.
It was mainly blue all over its body, with silver gauntlets. On its chest was a large rectangle with a golden design lining it. Strangely, there was a symbol in middle of the rectangle that looked like its head. There seemed to be speakers on its shoulders. The gauntlets had red stripes around the wrists with small blades mounted to them. I say "small" comparing it to the rest of the robot. Those things were bigger than car doors. It had blue hands. I couldn't see its legs, possibly because of the smoke.
The thing had wings, each the size of one of the sails of the Argo II. There was a cannon mounted to its shoulder. A freaking cannon, along with tires on its legs and shoulders. It had various car and jet parts I couldn't name for the life of me.
It started getting even taller. At first I was confused, was it growing? That was until I realized something. That thing was still in the freaking crater and crouching. It crawled out and rose to its full height. It was tall enough to rival giants. It looked like it could kick the cabins like sandcastles. It had mainly silver thighs with blue and silver lower legs and dark gray feet.
I desperately searched for weaknesses, but I couldn't tell if it had armor or not. Either way, it definitely had the size advantage, and I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of its gun. With nothing to do, we just stood there.
