Omni-Magic Summer EP 24: The House of Ghouls Part 4
I don't own anything except my OCs. Ghostfreak's voice actor will be from his Omniverse one. More specifically, when Bad Ben turned into him and sounded like Zs'Skayr. His design will be based on Insane-Mane's version of Ghostfreak, but with a different eye color and no chains on his being.
Intro:
A Galaxy is shown with some planets as outer space music is heard.
Just for a flash of green light to occur it shows the Omnitrix symbol with Ben's silhouette in the middle as the song picks up.
"It started when an alien device did what it did."
The 1st clip is Ben, discovering the Omnitrix as it latches onto his arm as he panics.
He then presses down on the dial and it transforms him into Heatblast and he cries out.
"And stuck itself upon his wrist with secrets that it hid."
"Now he's got superpowers, he's no ordinary kid. He's Ben 10! (Ben 10!)"
The logo flashes a bit, before showing off aliens:
Grey Matter, Overflow, Shock Rock, Heatblast, Tear-Wolf, Lodestar, and Astrodactyl.
"So if you see him, you might be in for a big surprise."
"He'll turn into an alien before your very eyes!"
The boy is then shown transforming into Tear-Wolf as 6 more aliens appear and zoom in:
Upgrade, Shock Rock, XLR8, Four Arms, Heatblast and Tear-Wolf.
" He's slimy, freaky, fast and strong, he's every shape and size."
"He's Ben 10! (Ben 10!)"
Just then, a flash-animated Ben is running towards the screen and then flips and morphs into Tear-Wolf.
He bites at the screen as a black and green '1'. appear next to him.
2: Four Arms is next as he grins and raises his arms and flexes.
3: Grey Matter leaps at the screen, only to go splat comically.
4: XLR8 appears and zooms away.
"Armed with powers, he's on the case!"
"Fighting off evil from Earth or space!"
5: Upgrade wiggles his legs around as he raises his arms.
6: Shock Rock generates lots of power and blasts a large beam of blue energy across the screen.
7: Overflow flies upward on his water blasts.
8: Astrodactyl displays his whips and then rockets away on his jetpack.
"He'll never stop 'till he makes them pay!"
"'Cause he's the baddest kid to ever save the day!"
9: Lodestar raises his claws as they generate a green aura as several pieces of metal float around him.
10: Heatblast chucks a fireball at the screen as Ben himself lands on the ground with his fist, cracking it as he gives a big grin.
"Ben 10! (Ben 10! B-B-B-Ben! Ben 10! B-B-B-Ben!)"
Tear-Wolf is then shown leaping from some trees as he looks fierce.
Shock Rock poses as he finishes transforming.
Sunset and the Rainbooms are shown powering up into their magic forms.
Heatblast chucks a fireball.
Ben is then shown slapping down on the Omnitrix.
The Mane 6, Spike, the royal sisters, the royal crystal family, Discord, Starlight Glimmer, Trixie, the reformed Changelings, and Ben in griffon form stood together as they glared at an adversity as the Omnitrix boy just smirked with crossed arms.
Twilight is shown fighting a giant bird monster as she uses her Geode's magic to slam it down on the ground.
Four Arms roars out as he finishes transforming.
XLR8 is shown running on top of the water.
The opening finishes up with the aliens all getting sucked into the Omnitrix Ben shows it while green rays come from it as the title appears next to him.
Ben 10: Omni-Magic Summer.
Ben frowns as he calls out to Sombra. "Sombra! Let these teens go and give back Grim his scythe!" "Oh, sure! Like that will work." Courage rolls his eyes in a sarcastic tone, doubting this dark magic man would agree. But to their surprise, Sombra spoke to them. "Very well." With a wave of his hand, the energy cage dissipated and Grim's scythe floats back to its rightful owner. "Me scythe! Oh, how I missed you!" Grim cuddled the blade like it was his favorite toy and even kissed it. "Hey, Grim! You can make out with your stick, later! Just get those teens back to the bus and out of here, safely!" Ben calls as Grim realizes and speaks out. "Right!" He then twirls his scythe and tore open a portal.
"Okay, kids! Everyone into the portal, now! Quickly!" The freed teenagers didn't even think twice as they all rushed in while Grim went to make sure they were at the bus. The reaper then came out a few seconds later and shut the portal. "Take them! Those brats are useless! Not fit to be part of the clan! You see: The thing about the Shadow Ghoul Clan is that whenever they enter this realm, they have to create shell bodies to protect their true forms since they can't survive in this dimension on their own. But when the moon fully bathes them in its light, like in this area, they can shed their bodies and show their true selves."
As Sombra explains, Grim heard something and glanced back to see more Ghouls, only for them to remove their bodies like they were jumpsuits and they have become big-armed, beings that have shape claws, double-jointed legs with talons for toes, tails with sharp points and spikes on there backs in a straight pattern and shape points on the shoulders and very pointed ears and beak-like mouths with razor-sharp teeth and glowing yellow eyes with silted black pupils. But what stood out is that they were made entirely out of shadows. "Every 5 years, brings new blood into the clan. The promise of power and immortality entices those that are deemed worthy."
Courage gasped and shivered in fear as more shadow ghouls showed up. His teeth chattered and his being shook in terror. "Those that possess the seed of evil in their very souls are the perfect additions to the clan." "Uhh... Ben?' Grim whispers to the kid as he responds. "I see them." Ben then addresses Sombra with a question. "How are you here, Sombra?! Last I heard of you, you were blown to bits by the Crystal Heart!"
"Yes... I was... But I was not one to go down without a fight. So, I used a teleporting spell at the last second, which when affected by the Crystal Heart's magic, teleported me to another world instead of another location. But at the cost of my powers, I was able to survive, but I would not let myself fall into depression! So, I managed to make a name for myself, as stated before. And then I came across the Shadow Ghouls and cut a deal with them. In exchange for granting me back my dark magic powers, I help them gain permanent bodies that allow them to be in this realm for much longer. Hench, why I searched and discovered the Grim Reaper's scythe and the power of the Underworld itself. So, I used a little spell to summon the reaper and make him do my bidding and relinquish his scythe."
Sombra then frowns at Courage. "Of course, I didn't expect to also get that annoying dog that wouldn't stop screaming every 20 seconds." Courage just frowns with a huff with his paws on his hips. "Anyway, I managed to siphon off enough magic from the scythe for my plans. As shown by 2 new, permanent minions: Sparks and Shivers!" On cue, the Imp brothers from before appear next to their master as flames and ice dance off their respective beings. "Sparks!" "And Shivers!" The blue imp adds as they both clap hands and flare up, pulling apart as their hands have flames/froats on them while grinning. "The fire and ice imp brothers!"
Ben frowns as did Grim while Courage hides behind Ben's leg as he peeks out. "I managed to grant these 2 permanent bodies for their service. Speaking of, Lark here was quite the specimen when she joined. And I have great expectations for young Charmcaster here." Said girls show up next as they both give off sinister smirks. Ben declares. "You're not keeping my friends, prisoner anymore, Sombra!" But Sombra just chuckles as he responds. "Wrong! Now, say your goodbyes, Hope. You must be going, now." Just as he said that a large shadow portal appeared behind him with a glow while Charmcaster looked confused. "Go? Go where?"
Sombra answers with a coy smile. "Into the Shadow Realm, to complete your transformation and gain the rest of your powers. But hurry! For when the full moon sets, it will close." But Charmcaster shook her head as she spoke back. "No way! I'm not leaving!" She then leaps up a wall and sticks her feet to it as she uses her new magic to make her feet like glue. "I got all sorts of things to do, here! And some bullies to get payback on! I think I'll scare the pants off them, for starters!"
Sombra just frowns as he orders Charmcaster. "You'll get your revenge another time. Enter the portal, now!" But Ben noticed as he got an idea and called out. "What's the matter, Sombra? Did you forget to mention to her that power and immortality come with being a servant forever? That the Shadow Ghouls are only allowed to walk the Earth for 4 nights, once every 5 years?" Charmcaster blinks in surprise as she quickly denies it. "No way! You're lying!"
"He's telling the truth!" Courage calls out as he stands out from Ben with a frown. "If you become one of those things, you're giving up your freedom for good!" "They're right, girl!" Grim spoke out with his hand on his hip. "Look at Lark! She was Ben's old babysitter and she gave up everything to become a Shadow Ghoul! Now look at her!" "Is that what you want, Charmcaster? To turn into an even bigger freak?" Charmcaster was surprised at Ben's words while she glanced at Lark as said girl sulked away and then at the shadow beings as her eyes widened.
She then snarls as she points at Sombra. "You never said anything about that! If I'd known, I would have never agreed to this!" "It doesn't matter, now! Quick! The portal is closing, minion!" "No! I'm staying! Let it close." Charmcaster turns her back with crossed arms. "And no one bosses me around!" But as Sombra looks angry, he just lets it go as he gains a sly smile. "Okay... You can stay. But I doubt you'll last long at all. Once the moon sets, you'll perish." "What?!" Charmcaster cries out in shock as Sombra answers. "Oh! Did I forget to mention that any Shadow Ghouls that don't make it back to the Shadow Realm before the portal closes are destroyed, once the sun rises? Must have slipped my mind!"
Charmcaster glanced back at the moon as it slowly set her heart dropped into her stomach while feelings of dread filled her being. "Yes... Everything has a price, all part of being in the Clan." Just then, Charmcaster knees as she starts getting scared while small tears as she is terrified. "I don't want to be a Shadow Ghoul, anymore!" Ben felt bad for the girl and frowned at Sombra, calling out to him. "Hey, Sombra! How about a swap? Me in Charmcaster's place while she goes free!" Grim and Courage were shocked while Sombra was interested. "What?"
"How about it, freak?! Me for Charmcaster's freedom!" The dark magic man ponders it for a bit and smiles. "You're too pure of heart to be Shadow Ghoul material, but you and your interesting weapon as my servant is something I can't pass up on. Very well!" He zapped Hope as she braced herself, only when it was done, did she look at herself and see her left arm was normal, meaning she was human, once again. Ben then walks up to Sombra as the boy glares at him while the dark king smirks. "Come along, Benjamin. There's work to be done in the Shadow Realm."
Ben glanced at the others with a sad look and walked towards the battle. "Ben! Don't do it!" Hope cries out as Courage tries to hold her back while whimpering at Ben leaving. The boy gives one last look at them and the imprisoned Rainbooms and enters the realm portal. Sombra chuckles. "Looks like 'Mr. Hero Time' has joined the forces of evil! Oh, how I love it when irony works in my favor!" King Sombra girns as the imps chuckles to themselves as Hope breathes out. "Ben... No..."
But just then, Ben pops out of the portal, surprising Sombra. "Just a couple of things to point out!" "Huh?" "First off, I get my own parking space and paid vacation time, about 2 to 3 weeks worth, or the deal's off!" Sombra is just confused about how this mortal kid, casually exits the shadow portal with no problem and is more confused that he's talking like he's applying for a job when he's no older than 10!
But as Sparks glanced off to the side, his jaw dropped as he gasped, hopped up and down, and pointed in a direction as did his brother. "Boss! Boss!" "Look over there!" Sombra glanced and was shocked to see Ben, leading Charmcaster away to safety! "What?! How!?" He glanced at the smirking Ben in front of him, only for the boy to turn into Grim himself. "BAHAHAHAHA! How does it feel to be tricked by a bag of bones, huh!?" Grim smirks, but Sombra snarls as he knocks Grim away with a super-fast backhand!" "Deceiver!" CRASH Grim was implanted into a brick wall with a pained look as some bones fell off his being. "Pretty good backhand, mon..."
"Get them, ghouls!" Sombra roars as the shadow monsters chase after Ben and Hope. "Courage! See if you can free the Rainbooms!" Ben calls as Ben and Hope run as fast as they can! Courage groans as he glances at the readers. "How do I always get into these situations?" The cowardly dog then ran off to figure out a plan. After dodging and having a few close encounters with some ghouls, Ben was able to lead Hope to a safe hiding place. "Stay here!" "What are you going to do?" "I'm serving up some four-fisted knuckle sandwiches!" Ben frowns as he dials the Omnitrix to Four Arms and slaps down on the core. FLASH
The watch sank into Ben's arm as muscles grew out of it and traveled up to his eye, just as it flashed all green as he felt an extra pair developing underneath them. The boy then became bigger and stronger as 2 arms, burst out of his sides, underneath his main pair as muscles and skin twisted around them. He then spins around as he faces the 4th wall and gives a loud yell, flexing his arms as he finishes transforming.
"Who's first!?" Four Arms cries out as he charges and smacks away Shadow Ghouls, left and right. As Four Arms kept beating up shadow monsters, Courage made his way up some ruins to eye-level of the captured Rainbooms as he looked down at the distracted Sombra. "Oh... I got to stop him, somehow." He looks around and spots a pile of rubble as he gets an idea. "Those rocks can stop him!" He then spots a piece of wood and jams it underneath the pile, jumping on it a few times, but having no luck. Courage then snaps his finger as he grabs a rock, grunting as he luges it around. He then threw the rock onto the wood, and the weight pushed the board up, sending the pile of rubble tumbling down. Sombra noticed and looked up and was surprised, just to be buried alive! "Yeah!" Courage cheers.
But just then, the rock pile explodes as Sombra emerges, looking furious. "Very well! If you want something done right, do it yourself!" He then gathers his magic and fires 7 beams that hit the geodes of the Rainbooms, causing a magic reaction that fires beams back into the bat-shaped medallion with a red ruby on it, causing the gem to glow as it engulfs Sombra as he gives a sadistic smirk.
The lights continued as they 4 closed their eyes, trying to avoid the brightness. Just as the light died, they were stunned by the new Sombra! His hair now became smoky and wavy as it grew longer down his back. He is giving off a crimson aura as his fingers become claws. His clothes have become a sliver spiked armor with a black bodysuit underneath. His ears became pointed and were placed on top of his head while he grew fangs. He flashes open his eyes, which are now crimson red dots in blackness, and flashes his fangs in an evil grin while 2 large bat wings keep him suspended as he has a sliver, spiked crown on his head.
"And here I thought Chrysalis took the ugly cake." Four Arms mumbles out as Grim blinks. "This can't be very good." Courage just screams in horror. "Ahh... Now this is more like! You girls were just every bit as powerful enough I believed in." He grins as the Rainbooms slowly wakes up. "Wha? What happened?" Sunset asked as she groggily came to. Only for them to be shocked at Sombra as he hovers at their level. "Okay... I don't know who he is, but I know he's bad!" Rainbow spoke out. Sombra then glares at Courage and points a finger at him. "Bad dog!" He fires out a magic beam that nails near Courage, causing an explosion that sends the pink dog crashing into a wall, just as Grim uses his scythe to slice 2 Shadow Ghouls into dust, making the reaper look back at the dog, who groans as he slides down.
"Whoa! You got to admit, that looked pretty awesome." Four Arms mumbles with blinking eyes as Hope nods as well. "If you think this is awesome, check this out!" Sombra smirked as he flew up and he made crimson energy surges in his hands as he raised them upward. "Raise, my minions! Destroy your master's enemies!" Suddenly, several shadow arms burst out of the ground, zombie style as the girls screeched in surprise and terror.
The arms pulled out more Shadow Ghouls. "WHOA! Talk about a real Monster Mash!" Four Arms exclaims as he starts tossing, slamming, and fighting off the hordes of ghouls. Even grabbing a large pillar and swinging it like a club. "Can someone help us down, please?" Applejack calls out as the girls struggle to break free. "A little busy at the moment! But sure!" Grim said as he slashed a couple more ghouls and then aimed his scythe and fired a beam of energy that hit the crosses and broke them, freeing the Rainbooms! "Yippee!" Pinkie cheers as they land.
As Hope joins by grabbing a piece of metal and whacking Sparks and Shivers on the head, knocking them both out, Four Arms slams his fists and makes a mini-quake that sends the shadow monsters flying as Grim then shoots them all down with his underworld flame powers. "Bahahahaha!" Unfortunately, the Omnitrix times out as Ben glanced at himself. "Not good!" And before he knew it, Lark appeared behind and grabbed him by his collar, holding him up as the kid struggled. "Ben!" Hope cries out as she charges and swings at Lark, only to get slapped aside.
"Yes! Now, destroy him, Lark! End that brat, for good!" Sombra grinned as the girls got worried as they tried to help, but was blocked by more Shadow Ghouls. "Ben, no!" Twilight cries out. But as Lark lifts the struggling boy, she looks at Ben as she feels something she hasn't felt in over 5 years: Guilt and remorse. She gained a sad look as Sombra noticed. "What are you waiting for?! DO IT!" "No... Ben is my friend." Lark declares as she sets Ben down while he notices and smiles. "Yes!" Courage cheers as does Hope, who is helping the dog up.
Sombra looked furious as he felt his rage boiling. "THEN I'LL DO IT MYSELF!" Sombra dives down with a screech with his claws out as Lark grabs Ben and dove to the side, barely dodging as the 2 get up as Hope, Courage, and Grim regroup. "We need to stop this crazy man, for good!" Grim calls out. "But how?! It seems like nothing can harm or get close to him!" Hope hollers as Courage asks Ben. "Ben! Is that gizmo of yours working?" "I don't know! I think it needs more time to recharge!" Ben responds as he keeps messing with the Omnitrix and pushing down on the core. But just then, the Omnitrix glowed green as the kid gasped in silence and felt his being engulfed by the green light. FLASH
A bunch of striped tentacles sprouts out of the Omnitrix and engulfs the child. His head pops out, now a skeleton as it rotates upside down and becomes deformed as his arm bones sprout out, now sporting elbows spikes, and his hands grow long, sharp, knife-like claws. Grey and black skin covers all over him like a blanket as a single pink eye opens on the black line on the left side of the head, shrinking his pupil as he poses, finishing the transformation.
"Who or what is that thing?!" Hope asked in shock at Ben's new form. Ben is now a ghost-like alien with a gaseous appearance, claw-like hands, and grey skin with black lines running all over him. He has a pink eye on his head, peeking out from the lines and elbow spikes. He has a green aura on him. He lastly has the Omnitrix symbol peeking out of his right chest lines.
"Beats me! I never turned into him, before..." Ben said as he studied himself. Only to turn invisible, much to the others' surprise as Sombra looks around, only to feel something punch him in the face and send him back a bit as Ben appears and looks at his claws. "But I like what he can do!" He then floats around as he slashes his claws at some ghouls, taking them down one at a time. He then saw Sombra as he fired beams of magic. Ben kept dodging it and even flew through walls
Ben was able to hover above as he noticed the Rainbooms in trouble. "There's got to be something else I can do..." Just then, a bunch of white and purplish-black striped tentacles burst out of his chest, with the Omnitrix on one of them, and grabbed and tossed the shadow ghouls away. "Chest tendrils? Freaky, yet effective!" But suddenly, Ben was tackled by Sombra as he held his collar and glared at the alien kid. "Even with your new form boy! You still won't stop my return to Equestria!"
Ben was able to punch him off and recovered, glaring at the villain. "All right! It's Ghost versus Vampire! Alien style!" They charged and exchanged blows and claw slashes with each other. Ben floated back and noticed an amulet in his hand, noticing it was glowing with magic as he realized that it was a magical artifact. Sombra notices and tries to go after it while Ben flies away, getting an idea. "GIRLS!" "Yeah?" Sunset asked as Ben threw it at Courage, who grabbed it and ran as fast as he could to the girls. "Destroy that amulet! I think that's his source!"
But as the Rainbboms tried to pony up, they still felt exhausted as Fluttershy spoke out. "We can't! We're still tired from having our magic drained!" "Then, give it to me!" Grim cries out as Rarity grabs the amulet from Courage and nods, throwing it at the reaper. Grim then tosses it to the ground and raises his scythe. "NOOOOOOO!"
BOOM With a single downward stab from the scythe, the cursed object busted into pieces, making crimson energy surge from it. Sombra screams in pain as he feels himself being turned to dust as he crashes onto the ground. As Sombra struggles to stay alive, he notices the Rainbooms towering over him with smirks. "Looks like it's over, Sombra!" Sunset said as the man glared, only to look behind them and smirked as Rainbow noticed. "Why are you smiling? You lost, dude!" "Maybe... But I still have a consolation prize..."
They all look back and see the moon has set. Courage gasps as Grim speaks out. "Uh-oh!" "The moon! It's gone down!" Hope cries out as Ben's eye widen in shock. "Oh, no!" Sombra kept chucking as he then faded away at last. Lark then noticed the shadow portal had closed and she was horrified. They then hear screaming and screeching as they look around and see the rest of the Shadow Ghouls being burnt into ash as the sun is coming up. The Rainbooms were shocked as all eyes turned to Lark, who seemed to accept her fate as she felt the magic swirling around her left arm. "Lark! No!" Ben cries out. "Goodbye, Ben... It was nice seeing you for one last time..."
Everyone felt depressed and sad as they couldn't bear to watch what happened next. But as Hope took a peek, she gasped as she pointed out. "Look!" All eyes turned and were surprised to see Lark was still alive! The woman then took off her left glove and was stunned to find it didn't have the dark marking, but instead, it was a normal human arm! "She's alive!" Courage cries out as Pinkie says the same thing. "She's alive!" "She didn't go poof!" Rarity states as Ben floats near her and asks. "But... Why are you all right?" "I... Don't know." Lark mumbles out.
"I know, why!" Grim answers as he appears next to the woman with a smile. "She won't kill you, Ben! Smart move, by the way. I'm beginning to like that boy. Which means, she's no longer fit to be in the Shadow Ghoul Clan!" Lark blinks as she looks at her hand. "I've... Lost my seed of evil!" Hope then taps Ben on the back and smiles. "No seed of evil for me." "Me too!" Courage smiles as Pinkie pops up and looks around all her friends. "Nope! No seeds of evil in any of us as well!"
Later, after leaving the island and back near the bus, Ben managed to time out as she shook hands with Courage and Grim. "Hey, thanks for helping me save my friends, guys." "Sure! it was no problem." Courage replies as Grim nods. "Yep. I can't thank you enough, kid. You managed to help me get me scythe back and get payback on the guy who brainwashed me. So, here. I want you to have this." He reached into his cloak and handed something to Ben. It was a long whistle with a skull at the end.
"A whistle?" Said Ben curiously. "That whistle will summon me anywhere in the world, straight from me timeline," said Grim. "If you blow that, I will grant you one request. Just – one. And it better not be for anything stupid like ordering a pizza." "Sweet! Wonder what should I ask for?" Only for Sunset to snatch the mystical item with a frown. "I think I'll hold on to this. Since I'm the magic expert." Ben pouts in response. Grim slashed the air again, creating another portal. After saying their final goodbyes, the rift closed behind Courage and Grim.
And so, after getting all the teens back home in the next town, Ben is shown, hugging Lark, who now has travel supplies on her. "Farewell for now, Ben. With every good deed I do, I'll regain more of my humanity." "Why not come on back with me? To Canterlot and Bellwood? You can do good there and your family misses you!" "Thanks for the offer, Ben. But there are other places I can be of more help." Lark declines.
"Take care, Lark. You make something of yourself." Ben and Lark shook hands as Hope showed up next to Lark as well, wearing travel supplies as well. "And I'm going with her as well. I want to learn more about magic and find my place in the world as well. And I want to show everyone that Hope Spellman can do great things as well. And Ben? Thanks for everything." Hope kisses Ben on the cheek and the kid blinks in response. Ben and the other Rainbooms give their goodbyes as well and watch the 2 women head off, out on a journey.
But unbeknownst to all, Ben's Omnitrix briefly flashed purple as it showed Ben's new alien, whom he nicknamed Ghostfreak, before frizzing out and showing something similar to the alien. Was it a simple glitch, or is there more to Ben's newest alien than meets the eye?
As the bus left, a sparking purple magic trail flew toward the crater and implanted into the ground. Just then, a skeleton rises up and slowly forms into a revived Sombra, minus his necklace. The man flashes open his eyes and smiles, snapping his fingers as out of his dark magic, Sparks and Shivers come back to life. "Boss?" Shivers asked his master.
Sombra gestures for them to follow him into the darkness of the woods as the trio disappears into the dark forest. One thing is for certain, Ben and the Rainbooms have not seen the last of Sombra as out in the misty lake, a familiar ship can be seen as laughter comes from it as it sails off into the unknown.
