A/N: Sorry about the grammar issues I didn't have time to get this edited as thoroughly as I normally do If I wanted to make my Sunday deadline. (Even still I'm technically an hour late on that...) This is part of the new me. One chapter every Sunday and I am proud to get this one done pretty much on time.

Some stuff to comment on in the end.

Chapter 13
Bitter Feelings and Harsher Consquences

Ezra in his meditation could feel the bodies of the mandolrians in the encampment moving about for their daily routines. He had found a nice nook outside camp and had been resting here ever since deep in the recess of his mind, where it was both quiet and peaceful. He was working on recognizing force signatures and tried it out. Kanan was warm and a bond he shared deep with his master and he could feel him slowly finishing waking up in the building just below the cliff edge Ezra rested on. He could feel Sabine on a different side of the building and another signature he didn't quite recognize near her and assumed she was talking with someone. Probably one of her family members. Finally, he probed for Faith's signature thinking he could nail that one down despite their limited time knowing each other. As he was in the middle of searching he heard the shuffle of rocks. behind him and quickly whipped around only to be greeted with the sight of Faith herself a playful smirk on her lips.
"Sorry didn't mean to give you a scare." She said genuinely stopping a respectful distance.

"Oh there is no need to be sorry," Ezra said turning around to look back at the view.
Silence carried on between the two for a brief moment before finally she approached him and sat next to him on the ledge.
"How do you feel about being back here?" Ezra asked seriously looking at her in the morning light.
Faith chuckled turning her head to meet his eyes, "Heavy hitters right out the gate eh?" She joked.
"Sorry didn't mean to presume just… I don't know was concerned you weren't adjusting well or something…" Ezra carried off rubbing the back of his head at his awkwardness.
"That is sweet," Faith said scooting forward and dangling her feet over the edge.
"I try, I may not know much about the Mandalorian culture but I do know that coming back here can't be easy," Ezra said meekly feeling part of his face heat up.
A long sigh came from next to him and Faith looked down at the camp longlily before responding.

"It is difficult y'know? Hard to forget everything that happened. Fenn Rau is pretty much the only family I have left and that is sad in it itself. But you guys, the Ghost crew took me in when no one else would've and that is something I'm extremely grateful for, and don't know if I ever wanna give it up…" Faith glanced at Ezra who looked at her understandingly

"You know how I feel about the failed Lothal attack…" Ezra said trying to relate.
"Are we leaving Mandalore?" Faith said quietly.
Ezra winced he was afraid of this question, it was unsure whether Sabine would come back with them once they left or stay here, and now with Faith Ezra didn't know how he was going to with either of them around.
"I think after we help Sabine destroy this weapon Rebel command would like us to return…" Ezra said slowly. He wanted to help his homeworld as much as possible but at the end of the day he had to realize the bigger picture. The Empire was subjugating thousands of worlds and to simply drop everything to free one world meant nothing for the others who also needed his help. That was the way of a Jedi, and he was a Jedi.
"Alright, do you know the plan to get this weapon? Rebel command is gonna want us back sooner rather than later." Faith responded a smile touching her lips.
"You're coming with us?" Ezra said shock creeping into his voice.
"Of course I am silly," Faith said nudging Ezra's shoulder.
Ezra chuckled feeling a sense of relief wash over his shoulder. "That is a relief, I thought you might be leaving us…" Ezra admitted sheepishly.

"Afraid you're stuck with me." Faith teased fixing him with those playful blue eyes drawing him in.
It took a little too long before he realized he was staring at her eyes and quickly broke eye contact nervously looking for anything at all to focus his attention on. Finally, Faith broke the silence allowing him to look back at her.
"So if we are asking hard-hitting questions can I get one?" She said legitimately trying to keep the unsteadyness from her voice.
"Hit me with your best shot," Ezra smirked recovering his confidence from the previous moment. "You and Sabine? How do you feel about her?" She asked genuine curiosity and a mix of something else laced into her voice.
Ezra was nearly thrown off the cliff at the subject being brought up. It had been a point of contention in his mind for quite some time now. Obviously, he had had a childhood crush on her for what seemed like forever but he didn't still like her. Did he? She saw him as just a friend, more of a brother even.
That wasn't Faith's question.
It was how he felt about her. Which was a lot harder of question.
"Honestly?" Ezra questioned leaning into his knees and staring into the distance.
"Of course," Faith answered leaning closer to hear Ezra's quieting voice.
"I don't know… I don't know."

Sabine had decided that first she would speak to Faith and tell her that she wanted to talk to Ezra before the Mandalorian tried to make any sort of move on Ezra. She felt really bad about having the whole conversation about how she didn't care only to turn around and request she back out of it but she sort of felt like she was allowed to… It wasn't like she decided when her feelings would officially surface. That wasn't a thing you controlled. She approached her brother Tristian who stood watching the sparring arena with his helmet tucked cleanly at his side.
"Hey, whats up." Sabine said approaching him to see Ezra and Faith practicing in the middle of the ring.

"Nothing much. Watching Ezra mop the floor with the new protector." Tristan commented with a playful smile.
Sabine had heard that her brother and Ezra had gotten along well and that made her happy to see the two collaborate and connect well. Turning her head to watch the fight she barely caught Faith miss a punch as Ezra ducked under her and grabbed her midsection only to shove her into his waiting leg and knock her onto her back. The sand made a harsh noise but Faith to her credit didn't hesitate. Before Ezra could remove his lightsaber and land the killing blow Faith planted her feet just below his keecap (accurate and agile considering her position) sending him backward and giving her time to throw herself up on her feet her hands coming up again in a ready stance.
"She is something else," Tristan said with a genuine impression.
Yeah if you consider beating Ezra without force powers or a lightsaber difficult.
Sabine bit her bottom lip and looked away keeping her less than nice comment to herself.

"Yes, that kick move was quite something." She decided to keep her tone rather neutral.

"You don't normally watch the spars, what brings you down here today?" Tristan asks conversationally.
"Oh I just wanted to talk to Faith about something," Sabine admitted meekly.

Tristan raised an eyebrow at her but nodded, "You want me to go invite Ezra or lunch to something so you two can have a reason to split off." Tristan asked politely. "The briefing isn't for another few hours and then we head out shortly after that."
Sabine shook her head. "No, I'll talk to her myself thank you though for the offer it is kind of you."

Tristan shrugged nonchalantly and turned in time to watch Ezra deflect a punch and quickly sidestep Faith using the opportunity to sweep Faith's legs out from under her knocking her onto the ground. By the time she flipped around for an offense, Ezra's lightsaber was sitting in his hand finger on the ignition signaling a killing blow.
Claps from some of the watching Mandolrians ensued at the end of the fight as Ezra's weapon was quickly replaced by his hand helping her up. She saw some other Mandos approach perhaps to ask for their own sparring session. Everyone had suddenly become interested in Ezra the Jedi learner Sabine had brought with her. Calmly but firmly Sabine said as she slowly approached the two, Tristain in tow.
This needed to come off lightly or else she would just seem pretentious and that wasn't her goal even a little. She was sure that after she explained the situation Faith would understand.
She watched the two and stopped a respectful distance but close enough that once Ezra turned his head he would see her and she could wave him over. She was intent to remain calm during this situation So when she saw Faith standing just a little too close to Ezra she didn't let it bother her and any thoughts of approaching the two were swiftly put away. She would wait until Faith and Ezra were done and then she would interject and tell Faith her problem with the situation. Looking away from them Tristian approached her with a knowing smile ignoring him she turned back minorly annoyed with how long the two seemed to be privately conversing. Sabine continued to repeat her Calmly but firmly mantra in her mind, and despite the continued conversation, and decreasing space between Faith and Ezra she remained for lack of a better term calm.

Then she saw that bitch try to put her tongue in Ezra's mouth.

"Would you like to explain yourself?" Ursa Wren asked through gritted teeth, her eyes boring straight into the back of Sabine's head.

Sitting in a room with Kanan Jarrus and her mom bearing down on her was not her ideal situation. It was made less ideal by Faith next to her, holding the side of her head with an equally irritated expression plastered on her face. Sabine was not unscathed and her sore arm was proof enough that Faith was at the end of the day a Mandalorian. Off to the side Ezra, Tristian, and Rau waited with looks of bewilderment, confused amusement, and genuine curiosity respectively.

"Either of you like to explain?" The countess continued leaning back on her heels.

"Sabine shoved me, and in response, I pushed her back only for her to swing on me, and the rest kind of spiraled out of control…" Faith continued, trailing off as the story changed to the moment they got into an all-out brawl between the girls.

Her mom glared at Sabine indicating it was her time to add anything to the story but since it had been relayed exactly as it occurred Sabine remained silent.

"Ezra, Tristan you had no mind to stop them until after they damaged the other?" Ursa said, with a tone of harshness in her voice.

The two boys who had been previously only half attentive quickly snapped to it, each briefly glancing at each other before Tristian chose to speak for the both of them.

"Sabine was next to me, but she moved so quickly I blinked and she and Faith were in the middle of it." Tristan concluded by nudging Ezra to finish the story, "The idea to separate them using the force only dawned on me after they had begun their fight, but we did try to stop them before that, to no avail… ma'am." Ezra briefly made eye contact with Sabine but his eyes flicked back to her mother before she could react. Silence dominated the room for a long time before finally Kanan took his hand off his beard and spoke. His calm demeanor was a reminder of the approach Sabine had meant to take.
"I think we can write this off as a misunderstanding."
The Jedi's words shocked everyone in the room, including Faith and Sabine who had expected a lot more scolding and punishment. Ursa looked at Kanan suspiciously, before she relented letting the Jedi finish his point.
"Would you three mind if I ask one question between the four of us?" Quietly nodding Tristian led the three out of the room although Ezra looked back at her once the two briefly made eye contact. His eyes were unreadable but Sabine thought he might've been disappointed in him, the thought that scared her significantly.
When the door shut Ursa raised her eyebrow at him tentatively. "So… Sabine. You shoved Faith why?" The subject was kind of danced around by the boys and you two certainly haven't answered.
Sabine frowned and looked away from the blind Jedi. Shortly after approaching the two and aggressively separating Faith and Ezra, she declared that she would like to speak to Faith alone. To which the confused Mandolrian looked between her and Ezra with confusion before stepping back. (Sabine would later find out that Faith had not been at all even considering kissing Ezra but at the time her mind had tunnel-visioned). After a quick but heated 'I take it back' and a few more exchanges of rather harsh words Faith said something about not taking Ezra seriously, Sabine responded and the whole thing was a blur next thing she knew she and Faith were kind of in the middle of it.
Sabine truly couldn't piece the whole thing together.

"Ummmm." Sabine started the awkwardness in the truth constricting her words.

"It was my fault." Faith quickly said, causing everyone to snap towards her. "I said something I should'nt have that provoked her and when she shoved me I should've let her walk away but I grabbed her arm and escalated the whole situation."
Sabine withstood the urge to gawk at Faith. That wasn't at all what happened but she barely had it in her to correct her.
"I see" Kanan responded placing his hands on his beard.
Ursa looked between the two again before waving her hand. "Can I trust you two to be both on your A-game for this raid?"
Two "Yes ma'am's" simultaneously came back and Ursa dismissed them both.
The moment they were out of the presence of the two Faith threw her hand up, "Don't mention it. I don't want to talk about it." Before Sabine could respond she stormed off leaving a confused Sabine, watching Faith walk away she quietly turned towards the command center. I intend to go catch the briefing. Clearing her mind she let the more important objective settle in her mind, she needed to destroy the weapon. She would sort out her feelings and fellow Mandolrian later.

A/N:
I feel like Sabine was a bit OOC there attacking Faith and all but also her being this emotional is technically OOC since we don't get any Ezrabine (Why do you do this to be Filoni) but I kind of rushed this to get it out in time but I am still happy with this final product.
Don't worry about Faith and Ezra, they aren't done having chats yet and the three are far from finishing their arcs. In fact they are just getting started.

See you all Next Sunday, Stay safe, and don't forget to R&R
