I Can See You: Danny's Nightmare

"Hey I'm grump!"

"I'm not so grump!"

"And we're the game grumps!"

Arin's voice rang clearly. "Hey everybody. So this time on game grumps we'll be playing a game that- Actually, Dan will be playing this."

Dan's voice, on the other hand, was surprised. Hinting he had no idea this was the case. "I will? What kind of game?" He gave a hesitant laugh. "Not sure I like that smile." He leaned forward to say into the microphone, "Arin's giving me a somewhat excited yet creepy look."

Arin leaned over and held out the controller. "Giving the controller to Dan."

Dan took it with absolute no trust in what was about to happen. That look usually means only one thing. "Okay. So what kind of game is this? Please don't tell me it's-."

"It's a horror game!"

Dan's whine can be easily heard. "Oh come on Arin! Why do you do this to me?" He had a sudden urge to throw the controller away. He resisted though as that would be too much effort. Well, at least the getting up to retrieve it part.

Arin made his own tortured face. "Because the people love seeing you be scared! That's the only reason we do scary games!" Which is 100% true. They really do have no idea how all these other YouTubers can play scary games every day. Poor souls.

"Besides Resident Evil," Dan added in. "You really like that one."

Arin smiled. "I do love it. Especially Resident Evil 3."

Dan hummed and nodded. "Wonder if Carlos ever did find that comb." They both laughed. "Probably not." Dan shivered. "Not Resident Evil 7 though. That was horrible." That was a definite for sure. "Still have nightmares about it."

Arin's mood quickly shifted and he grinned. "Anyway! Back to spooky scary game."

Danny's mood stayed the same. Annoyed. "Fuckin sucks. I mean yay!" Definitely said in a sarcastic tone. "Okay whatever. Let's do this."

Arin continued smiling and he added a spooky tone to his voice. "It's called, 'I Can See You'."

Dan glared at the TV which showed a black screen with the title on it. "I don't like the sound of that."

Arin obviously already knew that but didn't really care. Cause he's evil like that. "So just press A and we'll get started."

"Okay. Pressing A. I do this for all you people!" He pressed A and suddenly a jolt of electricity shot through him and a loud sound of sparks was heard. "MOTHER FUCKER! OW!" The sound of the power shutting down followed. "Okay. It's pitch black. And my thumb is going numb. I hope it's not changing color…that microphone hurt more than this to be honest." He then looked around in the darkness. He said in a slightly scared voice, "Arin? Did you plan this?" There was pure silence. "Arin? This isn't funny. Stop it and answer me. And turn on a light!"

When the light turned on, Danny decided he preferred the dark. "…What…the fuck?" He looked around room slowly. It was a mostly empty room, with one bug on the floor and a table. He looked to the door. "…Am I…dead?"

A deep voice came from behind him. "No Dan. I have trapped you in here. With me."

Dan spun around and saw the table which now had a bloody bag on it. "What?!"

The bag then moved and fell over. And what was now seen made Dan almost pee himself. Almost. The baby from PT was staring at him and moving creepily. "You're in here with me."

"Oh the fuck I am!" He ran out the door and down the hall. "Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope." He turned a corner and ran past the cracked bathroom where cockroaches were coming out. Under the swinging bleeding fridge before grabbing the handle of the door and pulling. "Locked?!"

Static came from the radio before a broken voice, "There's no turning back Dan. I told you this before."

Dan pointed his finger at the radio. "Fuck you! You still don't fucking know me!" He pulled again and the door swung open. He ran in and slammed it shut behind him. "Okay. So this is a dream. That means I must be able to wake up?" Without thinking he punched himself in the dick. "What the fuck?! Why did I do that?!" He fell to his knees and groaned. "Excalibur! I'm sorry!" After a few minutes of agony he was able to stand. "Shit…well…guess I'm not dreaming."

He sighed and took the few steps down. "Please don't be like PT. Let that be a one-time bit." He opened the door and sighed in relief when he stepped out into a forest-like area. He turned to see what exactly the door was part of and as he expected, the door was gone. He heard insects around him and slowly began walking. "This is like Alice In Wonderland…what the fuck did I consume to dream this?" Must be the mountain dew. Those vial drinks caused this.

"Why does this look familiar? I don't like that it's scary and familiar." He slowly began walking, not liking this one bit. He froze when he heard ice. With absolute terror he watched as his surroundings became covered in ice. Actual chase music started as well as certain screaming noises. He could almost swear they kind of sounded like they were screeching 'Dan'. And then the snow began to fall.

"Silent Hill?! Really?!" Dan bolted as fast as he could. "I don't know where to go! I don't know where to go! Where's a walkthrough?!" A shack up ahead made him groan. "I don't wanna!" But it was either go in the spooky shack or be captured by the creatures he's been seeing following him. He burst inside and slammed the door shut behind him, locking it.

When he turned, he let out another distressed sound. "No…" It had to be because they mentioned it earlier. Maybe the electric shock messed up his brain and he's in a coma. He walked forward through a familiar old house before screaming as a phone began ringing. "DON'T CUT OFF MY HAND!" He couldn't stop himself from yelling that out. The phone continued to ring but Dan had no interest in answering it. He walked into the familiar kitchen and coughed. "This smells like Arin's farts." Maybe Arin was sitting next to his comatose body and farting. That's a nice thought. He froze as boots could be heard.

"Where are you, boy? You need to have your supper." Dark laughter came. "Come on Danny-boy. Be part of the family."

The steps got closer and Dan ran into the room right through the kitchen. He saw a very familiar hatch on the ground. "No. This SUCKS!"

"There you are!" The boot steps got faster and towards him.

So Danny had no option but to open the hatch, which was thankfully unlocked, and crawl down there. "Stupid Arin. Stupid YouTube show. Stupid horror games."

"Have fun down there boy!"

Dan somehow managed to crawl faster. He only stopped long enough to shove a loose grate out of the way and then crawled out. He stood up and brushed himself off as he tried to get his breathing under control. He slowly looked around him to see a cement courtyard. He looked behind him and saw the hole where he crawled out of was part of a wall. With a gate.

Danny heard the victrola before he saw a blue flag next to him. He yelped when his phone chimed. He pulled it out of his jeans and looked at it. "Huh…didn't realize I had this with me." He clicked it on and checked the message despite his instincts telling him not to.

"Danny. If you can read this. Please respond."

Danny threw his phone into the wall as is the appropriate response in that instance. Looking at the sky he called out, "Do I at least get a gun in this one?" When no gun appeared he rolled his eyes in an attempt to hide how scared he was. "Guess not." He walked on muttering to himself and looking around. "Alice didn't have to go through half the shit I have." He walked through the courtyard and into the building. Suddenly he couldn't move and he looked down the hall to see a shadowy figure approaching slowly. "Go away! Just go away!"

"I've watched you for a long time, Danny. Please love me." The voice was terrifying. "Stay in this game with me."

"NOPE!" With the strength of a thousand Ninja Brians, he broke through the power around him and bolted. He got to a wooden door and jerked it open. He barely thought to close it behind him before he just kept running. He wanted NONE of this bullshit right now. He was positive it was yet another horror game environment, he just didn't care enough to pay attention. He ran through a swinging door at the end and almost fell on his face.

In a parking lot…by a dumpster…

"Really? All that…and then this?" He walked around the corner and saw a toilet on the ground. "…Knew this was Arin's fault." He walked over and stood there, waiting. Finally without any movement he said with extra sass, "So…you gonna throw poop at me?"

The toilet then turned into a man but with a toilet for a head. The Poop Killer! "You didn't flush!"

Dan sighed. "It was actually probably Arin. Go throw poop at him. He'll appreciate it more." He was just done with this by now. And who better to take your frustrations out on than a talking toilet-man?

Poop Killer pointed at him. "You will die!"

Dan could only watch as the hand raised up, his eyes widening. "Nooo!" He watched as the Poop Killer threw the one thing worse than shit. David Cheeseman. It flew through the air in slow motion but he once again found he couldn't move.

First the smell came, making him gag, and then he heard that deep voice. "I can't wait to get this boy's face all over my cheesy body." With a giant thud to his head, David knocked him out.

Danny shot up with a yell. Confused, he looked around the room. It was the gaming room…did he fall asleep? He groaned in relief and looked around. "Arin?" Before he was able to get up the door opened and Arin walked in, a bag of chips in his hand.

"Hey. Did you yell just now?" Arin's eyes were concerned but his hand was still pushing chips into his mouth.

Danny nodded. "Yeah. Just had a really bad dream." It seemed so real. Especially the dick punching. Yeah, he couldn't really explain that part. But he was awake now and not in that hellscape.

Arin sat down. "Oh. You want to talk about it?"

Dan just smiled with a shrug. "Nah. I'm over it. Let's get to recording. Well…finish your chips first."

Arin looked at the chip about to go into his mouth. And then he proceeded to shove all the chips left in the bag into his face without breaking eye contact.

Danny's voice was full of disappointment. "Arin…" The next few minutes were filled with the crunching and munching of way too many chips in one mouth. "You done?"

Arin swallowed. "Yup. Let's do this."

Danny watched Arin press record. "Welcome! I just had a nightmare and Arin shoved half a bag of chips into his mouth."

Arin glanced over. "Don't tell them my secrets Dan!" They both laughed. "Anyway! Welcome to Ghoul Grumps everybody!"

Danny yelled in absolute terror as eyes appeared on the screen.

"I can see you, Danny. Love me, Danny! Love Me!"

Danny whipped his head around to look at Arin, only to see no one there. Just a dark stain. The world stopped and a question ran through his mind. "Is that blood or shit?"

He leaned forward hesitantly and took a sniff. "Yup. Definitely shit. He's probably alright." He leaned back and arranged his hair to where he couldn't see the horror appearing around him. To drown out the evil sounds, he put in headphones to listen to NSP and Starbomb. "Now to just wait for Arin to come back from what is probably the bathroom and not some kind of monster-bringing black hole." He laughed. "Heh heh…black hole…butt…"

The End
