Kelpie woke up in the infirmary "are you awake now" a voice said as Kelpie turned his head to see Ari, Ashlin's mother "I think I can guess who you are...your Kelpie right" Ari said with a smile
"Um...yes...are you Ashlin's mother" Kelpie said as Ari smiled "yes I am Ashlin's mother I've been wanting to meet my daughters soulmate for awhile now" Ari said
"Soulmate?" Kelpie said surprised "oh...I suppose she didn't tell you some goddess, devil hybrid my daughter is right" Ari giggled "what...goddess?!" Kelpie said surprised
Ashlin woke up in the infirmary bed next to Kelpie and saw her mother talking to Kelpie "Ashlin has a soulmark on her forearm looking like a sea creature" Ashlin panicked and spoke "mom what are you doing"
"Hm what's wrong with meeting my future son-in-law" Ari said making Ashlin sputter and blush "mom you can't just say stuff like that it's embarrassing" Ashlin said blushing immensely
"Ok ok I'll leave you both to talk in private I'm sure you must have a lot to talk about" Ari said as she got up from her seat and walked out of the infirmary as Kelpie looked at Ashlin
"I'm surprised your mother came all this way to meet me of all things" Kelpie said as Ashlin sweatdropped "no...Kelpie...my mom is the headmage she watches what goes on in the school" Ashlin said
"She's the dean of this college!" Kelpie was a little surprised to say the least "yeah I know it's a little shocking isn't it" Ashlin said with a sigh "very shocking" Kelpie said
"Anyway...how long has this supposed crush on me been for" Kelpie asked making Ashlin blush and look away embarrassed "um...since I learned I had a soulmate" Ashlin said flustered
"Oh...how come I'm just learning that you're a goddess, devil hybrid" Kelpie said making Ashlin gulp "I was too afraid you were going to use me for my title and power" Ashlin said
"Did you really think I would care about such things...the only thing I want to focus on right now is you" Kelpie said as he cupped her cheek and had her look at him
"I'm sorry I overreacted like that...I didn't mean to say it...it just came out like that because I was too blinded by anger and jealousy" Ashlin said hugging him tightly
Kelpie hugged Ashlin back "I love you Ashlin Ashengrotto...I have for awhile now I just wanted a chance to be alone with you so we could know each other face to face" Kelpie said
Kelpie buried his face in her neck "but I had to go and mess it up by giving you the wrong idea about me and Lydia...I never wanted to make you upset from the misunderstanding" Kelpie said
"Kelpie you've already apologized and I forgave you...let bygones be bygones" Ashlin said cupping his cheeks Kelpie closed his eyes enjoying the touch on his cheeks and leaned his face to kiss the palm of her left hand making Ashlin blush immensely
"I love you Ash" Kelpie said murmuring into her skin Ashlin breathes in and decided to suck it up "I love you too Kelpie...I love you very much" Ashlin said
Kelpie smiled into her palm and moved Ashlin's hands off his cheeks "Ashlin" Kelpie said leaning in and pressing his lips on hers Ashlin was wide eyed at first but then wrapped her arms around his neck deepening the kiss
