Hermione lay in bed staring at the ceiling as her brain replayed the interaction she had with Professor Snape. She couldn't get over how soft his lips felt or how his tongue grazed her bottom lip. The snogging felt different with Professor Snape compared to Viktor Krum. She felt like Viktor was aggressive with his snogging compared to Professor Snape. Then again the age difference and how much experience each of them had. Hermione lifted her sketchbook and opened to the next page. It was risky sketching in the dorm but she didn't want to be caught outside with it either. She didn't want the sketchbook to leave her sight or her dorm.

It took several hours for Hermione to move from her bed. Ginny didn't seem worried as she was out snogging Dean but what would Hermione say to her? I'm in here because I can't face Professor Snape. After all, we snogged yesterday. She wondered if he felt the same way. Did he regret what he did? Hermione shook her head. Of course, he did. She is his student and nothing more.

She scuffed and got out of bed. Hermione slipped on her white-washed trousers and a jumper. She slipped on her socks and her trainers. Walking outside of her dorm and down to the common room she bumped into Harry. "Hiya, Harry," Hermione smiled.

"Morning, or afternoon," he realized what time it was, "you came downstairs later than usual, no?"

Hermione nodded, "felt like sleeping in since it is Saturday."

Harry nodded.

"Fancy going to lunch with me?" Hermione smiled, "to Hogsmeade?"

"Let's go," he smiled, and they both wrapped their arms around each other. They made their way out of the common room and to the big doors. Hermione sighed slightly as they pushed the door open.

"Did you have a date for the Halloween dance?" Harry asked, "I know you don't like Halloween but I figured we could go together, and um," he paused, "you know like a date but as friends."

"Um," Hermione paused, did Harry like her? "Sure, why not?"

"Sweet," he smiled as he grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers. Hermione noticed his hands were sweaty and not like they had been before. They had held hands before and his hands were never sweaty. It was usually her hands that were sweaty when she held hands with Ron for a couple of moments.

"What are you thinking of wearing?" Harry asked.

"Clothes," Hermione giggled.

Harry chuckled, "You are so funny."

Hermione choked an eyebrow at Harry. This was the strangest interaction she has ever had with Harry. She didn't understand why he was acting this way and she assumed it was a prank. Maybe the twins or Ron asked him to make her uncomfortable.

They arrived at Hogsmeade and walked to the Three Broomsticks. Harry held the door open and Hermione walked in. She looked around to see who else was in there. She hoped that she could see the twins or Ron in the background watching the whole thing. But she didn't see them anywhere in sight.

"Right over there, 'Mione, I will grab us some drinks and some food," Harry pointed to the table in the corner. The secluded table away from anyone else was open. She gulped and walked over to the table. Sitting down she watched Harry interact with the waitress. Looking around more her eyes fell upon a dark figure walking in. It was Professor Snape, she looked down at her lap and took a deep breath. She noticed Professor Snape grab his drink before Harry had gotten theirs. She looked around more and noticed there was not much space for him to sit. She looked down at her lap and hoped he would go somewhere else.

"Miss. Granger," his soft velvety voice echoed through her ears. She looked up to see Professor Snape looking at her.

"Professor Snape," she smiled as slowly brought her hair behind her ear. She was surprised he even wanted to look at her.

"Mind if I sit?" He paused, "There is nowhere else to sit."

Hermione nodded and glanced at Harry. Professor Snape sat on the other side of Hermione. She gulped and looked down at her fingers.

Professor Snape gulped his drink and sat it down on the coaster.

"So I got you a cheeseburger and some fr-" Harry froze as he saw Professor Snape sitting in front of Hermione. "Professor," Harry looked confused as he looked back and forth between Hermione and Professor Snape. "If there was another table available to sit at I would not be here, believe me," he took another sip of his drink and grabbed the book out of his pocket. Hermione looked down at her cheeseburger and slightly sighed. She didn't know why she was upset about his comment but it rubbed her the wrong way.

Harry nodded and sat down next to Hermione. "Here you go," Harry couldn't keep his eyes off Professor Snape. He glared at him as he ate his cheeseburger and Hermione only hoped that the table would stay silent. Hermione looked at Professor Snape as he sipped his drink and read his book. He didn't seem at all fazed from what happened yesterday.

"Severus, would you some more tea?" Professor Snape looked up to see the waitress holding a kettle full of tea. He nodded and she poured more into his cup. "Thanks," he gave a curt nod. Hermione smiled as he took another sip. She had assumed it was alcohol since it was the weekend and that is what most of the professors did.

"That was such a strange interaction with Snape," Harry said as they made their way back to the castle, "like why of all people did he have to sit with us?"

"There wasn't much room, Harry," Hermione said softly.

"Well he ruined a good moment between us," Harry said as he grabbed Hermione's hand and intertwined their fingers. His hands were sweaty and Hermione tried to pull her hand away, but his grip was forceful. They got to the castle and started to walk to the common room. It was almost time for curfew which meant neither of them wanted to be caught out, especially by Umbridge.

Harry said the password to the fat lady and walked in on Ginny crying. Ron was sitting next to her, trying to comfort her. "What's going on?" Hermione let go of Harry's hand and ran over to Ginny. Ginny sniffled and held out her hand. Umbridge had gotten to her. "I told her what I thought of her and how everyone will probably die because of her because we aren't learning anything. She told me to stop disobeying and to write on the paper, 'Nobody will die, I'm just being a brat.'

"I'm sick of this," Hermione said, "if we aren't going to get taught how to defend ourselves then we should figure it out ourselves before anyone gets killed."

"How would we do that?" Harry questioned.

"You teach us," Hermione smiled, "you have more experience with defending and casting spells than all of us. We create our army. I will gather people and get them a meeting time."

"Blimey that is mad," Ron said.

"I don't see you coming up with any ideas, Ronald," Hermione snapped. Ron closed his mouth and looked at his lap.

"Who would even join?" Ginny questioned.

"There's a ton of people that do not like what Umbridge is doing," Hermione said, "we are all sick of not learning in Defense Against the Darks Art. I love reading but I am sure sick of reading that stupid book she gave us."

"Mione, wake up," Hermione slowly opened her eyes to see that Ginny was shaking her awake. "What?" Hermione replied.

"It's time for breakfast the most important meal of the day," Ginny smiled.

"Are you okay?" Hermione questioned her.

"Yes, why wouldn't I be?" Ginny smiled.

The Halloween Dance.

More importantly she had detention and was Professor Snape's assistant today. She dreaded today but was also excited. "Now get that tight bubble ass up," Ginny grabbed Hermione's hand and pulled her to her feet.

"Ugh fine," Hermione said as she pulled on her clothes for the day.

After they got dressed they made their way down the stairs and to the great hall. "Did anyone ask you to the Halloween Dance?" Ginny asked.

"Surprisingly, yes," Hermione said.

"Really who?" Ginny said as they made their way around the corridor.

"Harry," Hermione said.

"Oh?" Ginny seemed almost disappointed.

"Yeah, he has been acting strange around me," Hermione scratched her head as they turned another corner.

"Do you like him?" Ginny stopped and looked at Hermione.

"Oh god no, he's like a brother to me, but he held my hand when we went to Hogsmeade. He was also upset when he saw that Professor Snape was sitting at the table with us," Hermione started to pick up the pace to the great hall.

"Well, he doesn't like Snape so I can see why he was upset," Ginny said.

"No, Ginny he was upset because he ruined a good moment for us."

"A moment?"

"Yes."

Severus got up the next morning and made his way into his lavatory that was connected to his private chambers. He enjoyed having this in his private chambers because he did not enjoy sharing the lavatory with anyone. He hated how the male students made the lavatory so disgusting. Severus brushed his hair back and washed his face. The cold water felt good on his face as it helped him wake up. Not like the dungeons weren't already cold but he liked the way it felt.

After he got done getting ready for the day he made his way down the corridor but stopped instantly.

"Did anyone ask you to the Halloween Dance?" He heard the Weasley girl say. He didn't know why he stopped but he could feel the insufferable know-it-alls presence.

"Surprisingly, yes," Granger said. He didn't understand why she made that comment. He felt like all of the dunderhead boys would be after her. She would've been the talk of the castle if she were in school with him and his classmates.

"Really who?" The Weasley girl asked as they started walking again.

"Harry," Granger said and the Weasley girl instantly stopped in her tracks. Severus huffed and turned around. He didn't feel the need to hear their conversation any longer. He didn't know why it made his blood boil. It wasn't like the kiss he had shared with the Granger girl meant anything. His body took over and he couldn't control it. The night he had pleasured himself at the thought of her again and he hated himself greatly. His thoughts brought him to the point of another Potter taking another girl away from him. Severus shook his head, she isn't yours, Severus. Stop being possessive over someone that isn't yours or was never yours.

He walked into the great hall and noticed Umbridge was not in today. He smiled but that faded quickly as he didn't want anyone to notice. "Morning," he said to Minnie as he sat down next to her.

"Morning," she smiled.

"Where's Umbitch?" Severus slightly smiled.

"I thought we said we wouldn't call her that unless it is just you and me?" Minnie furrowed her brows.

"Are we not alone?" Severus asked.

Minnie looked around and noticed nobody was sitting by her either. "I stand corrected," she paused, "and I have no idea where she is."

"It will be a peaceful breakfast then," Severus said as he buttered his toast. Instantly he looked up and noticed the bushy-haired girl. He smiled internally as he knew his comment about her hair stuck.
