After waiting for what felt like hours Ginny finally told Hermione to meet her in the Great Hall. Hermione folded her arms as she waited for Harry. She wondered if he would take as long as Ginny did.

"You look beautiful," Hermione turned around to see Harry smiling.

"Thank you," she felt a blush creeping up on her face.

Harry got closer and gave her a small hug. She coughed slightly as the cologne Harry was wearing was quite strong. He had never worn cologne before, Hermione thought.

They stopped their embrace and Harry grabbed her hand entwining their fingers. They made their way into the Great Hall and she noticed more stares than usual. "Would you like some punch?" Harry asked as hesqueezed her hand.

"Yes, please," Hermione smiled as she looked around the Great Hall. She wouldn't admit it to anyone but she was looking for Professor Snape. Disappointed that he wasn't in the room she turned her attention back to Harry.

"Here you go," Harry held out the glass of punch and waited for her to grab it.

"Thanks," Hermione said as she grabbed the glass and took a small sip. This was the strangest interaction she'd ever had with Harry, she thought.

"Care to dance?" Harry asked as he put theirglasses down and held out his hand. Hermione grabbed his hand and they made their way into the middle of the dance floor. She thought she would've had fun, but all she could think about was how Harry and Ron had ruined the Yule Ball for her. She'd been having a great time with Viktor and wanted to share her happiness with her best friends. She still hadn't gotten over the fact that they ruined it.

"Are you okay?" Harry asked as he smiled at her.

Hermione nodded.

"I can tell when you aren't okay, 'Mione, you can tell me what's going on."

"The last time we were at a dance it was the Yule Ball, you and Ron ruined it for me," she said bluntly.

Harry sighed and stopped dancing. "Are you going to hold that over my head? You do realize that Viktor was only after one thing right? That's why Ron and I weren't happy about it."

Hermione rolled her eyes and let go of Harry, "Please stay out of my business."

"Fine," he said as he walked past her and back into the Great Hall. Hermione shook her head and looked at the time.

It was almost eight o'clock so she shrugged her shoulders and made her way to the Astronomy Tower. Luckily everyone had been busy with the dance that they didn't notice as she snuck away. She slowly made her way up the stairs and noticed Professor Snape looking outside.

"Hi," Hermione said softly as she walked into the tower a little more. Professor Snape didn't turn around he just stood there staring out past the water.

"You got my owl," he said.

"I did, and he does like bread," Hermione giggled.

He turned around and looked at the young Gryffindor in front of him. His lips curved into a slight, yet satisfied smile despite his narrowed, suspicious eyes. He approached her and leaned in, taking his time as he reached for Hermione's lips, not yet touching them. He gently caressed the sides of her face, his fingertips tracing her jawline down to her neck, where his thumb gently presseda trail of warm kisses down to her collarbone, his hand eventually sliding down her arm, to her wrist where he could still see the marks from Umbridge's black quill. He rubbed small circles on the top of her hand as he lookedinto her eyes. Severus didn't understand how someone could like him or even tolerate him. He was cruel and had done some awful things that he would never admit to anyone. He shifted his eyes and looked down. His long dark hair fell forward, hiding his face from her view. Hermione took a deep breath and brushed his hair back, her heart pounding with excitement.

Severus moved closer and pressed his body against hers. Her scent was light and airy but still carried the sweet subtle notes of grass and rain. The scent filled his nostrils as she found his hair and pulled him closer. He enjoyed having his hair pulled and played with which made him let out a low growl. "Do you like when I play with your hair, sir?" Hermione asked.

"Yes," he groaned as he brought his hands to her hips and pushed her against the wall. Hermione let out a small moan as he pressed her against the wall. It wasn't hard but it was enough to make Hermione feel his arousal pushed against her. They hadn't been up there for very long which made her smile at the thought of making him aroused so quickly.

His hands tightened around her small frame and he stared into her big brown eyes. Severus began to kiss her with growing intensity. His mouth devoured her lips as his hands caressed her frame. His breath came harder and faster as his desire overtook him.

Hermione hungrily explored his mouth as she glided her tongue across his bottom lip. He instantly opened his mouth to let her explore. Her hands were still in his hair and he let out a small groan when she started to pull. His hands roamed over her body, exploring the curves that her clothes held captive.

Instantly, Severus pulled away from the kiss and let go of her waist. His lips were swollen and slightly pink from Hermione's lip gloss. "This is wrong on so many levels," he breathed. His body still pushed against the small-framed Gryffindor.

Hermione stared at her potions master as his eyes darted between her chest and her lips. "But it feels so right," he bit his lip slightly as his dark eyes gazed into hers. She couldn't believe that she was in his arms. She felt like it was a dream; like she was in her sketchbook going through the motions.

"This isn't a dream, Miss. Granger," he said as he brushed her hair behind her ear.

"How did you," he cut her off by putting his pointer finger up to his lips.

Hermione looked around and instantly heard giggling. She wondered how he had heard that with all the thoughts going through his head. Unless he didn't have the same thoughts going through his head that were going through hers.

"Meet me in the potions classroom," he pulled away and pushed her out of the other side of the Astronomy tower. She moved her feet quickly almost like she was on a muggle treadmill.

"What are you two doing up here?" She could hear Professor Snape bellow. "Fifty points from Gryffindor for each of you. Now get back down to the Halloween Party and if I catch you outside again I will give you both detention." That was all Hermione heard as she made her downstairs and to the dungeons.

She wondered what would happen since Professor Snape had given her instruction to go to the potions classroom. Would he take her right then and there on the desk? Or on the ground? Or more importantly, would he get her from behind or would they be face to face?

As she got to the potions classroom she tried to open the door but found there was no way to get past his wards. She sighed and turned around to see if he was coming down the hallway, but there was no sign of him. She waited for what felt like hours. "What are you doing down here, Hermione?" She looked over to see Luna smiling at her.

"Oh," Hermione got off the ground and walked over to Luna."I wanted some time to myself so I came down to the dungeons."

"Did you know that the dungeons are full of goblins, and they're constantly digging deep in the earth in search of gold? My father told me when I was a child, he also told me to always be careful when I go down into the them, you never know what might be lurking behind these dark walls," Luna smiled as she held her magazine closer to her.

Hermione smiled and scratched her head, "That's interesting."

"Thank you! I've always liked to share myknowledge, although not everyone believes me, but I don't mind. It's part of being a dreamy person," Luna looked down at her feet and wiggled her toes. "Would you like to go back to the dance? My partner decided to not show up."

"It's not a big deal though, I usually go to parties on my own, I don't have a lot of friends, just a few close and loyal ones. That's the way I like it, having friends is overrated," Luna paused, "I like having you as a friend."

"I'm happy to be your friend as well," Hermione smiled as they started to walk together back to the Great Hall.

She wondered what Professor Snape had been caught up in. She wasn't overly worried but she was quite disappointed that he didn't show. If Luna hadn't come down to the dungeons she would've stayed there for hours waiting for him. Hermione wondered if he blew her off because he didn't want to be with the know-it-all. That made her blood boil. How would she face him after he blew her off?

"Want to dance?" Luna said as they walked into the Great Hall.

"I would love to," Hermione smiled as she grabbed Luna's hand and they made their way to the dance floor. It was different dancing with a woman instead of a man. She didn't know if she should lead or if Luna would. Hermione hated leading and would much rather have had someone else lead her.

As they twirled around the room she saw Professor Snape staring at them. She almost wanted to scoff but she kept quiet not wanting Luna to question her.

"So, Professor Snape?" Luna said as she spun Hermione around her finger. Hermione's eyes went wide as she got back in front of Luna.

"What do you mean?"

"He looks so out of place," Luna paused, "is what I was going to say."

"Yes, he does," Hermione said, "he looks extremely uncomfortable."

"I bet he is forced to come to these dances," Luna frowned.

"I'm sure."

"One of us should ask him to dance," Luna piped in.

"I don't think that's appropriate, Luna," Hermione retorted, "and I don't think Umbridge would appreciate it."

"Umbridge is in her cat dungeon," Luna said, "if I ask Professor Sprout then you can ask Professor Snape," she smiled. Hermione knew Luna was being nice and didn't mean anything by it, but she felt like Professor Snape would flee.

"On three," Luna smiled and squeezed Hermione's arm slightly.

"Um," Hermione said.

"One. Two. Three," Luna instantly let go of Hermione and walked away. Hermione stood there watching Luna talk to Professor Sprout. The Professor ended up shaking her head which made Luna turn around. Her blue eyes fixed on Hermione, with almost a pleading look.

"Come on," she mouthed.

Hermione looked over at Professor Snape who was standing with his arms crossed over his chest looking rather annoyed.

"Fine," Hermione mouthed as she strode over to Professor Snape.

"Evening, Professor," Hermione crossed her arms over her chest.

"Miss Granger," his dark eyes quickly locked onto hers.

"Would you like to dance?" Hermione wanted to run away since he had blown her off but she was doing this for Luna.

His lips twitched for a moment but you almost couldn't see it unless you were close to him. He looked around to see who was dancing, "Miss Granger," his soft silky voice said.

"Just get it over with and then you can blow me off again," Hermione smiled.

His eyes went wide and his mouth slightly twitched, "fine," he said.

They made their way into the middle of the dance floor. Hermione looked around to see that Luna and Professor Sprout were dancing.

"Grab my hips," Hermione said.

"I know how to dance, Miss Granger," he snapped but instantly grabbed around her waist and reached for her other hand. He intertwined his fingers in hers and started to lead. "There, we are dancing, are you satisfied?"

Hermione glared at him, "Actually no," she paused, "I think I would have been more satisfied earlier before I was blown off."

He looked around to see if anyone was near them, "I can explain."

"I'm listening," Hermione said.

He cleared his throat, "I was summoned."

"Really?" Hermione raised a brow.

"If you don't believe me I can show you," he said as he slightly squeezed her waist.

"Prove it," Hermione bit her lip and squeezed his shoulder.

"Come to the potions classroom in an hour," he said.

"You already said that to me today," she was annoyed.

"You'll just have to trust me," he said, "I'm going to let go since I have been getting glared at by Potter," he instantly let go of Hermione and walked back over to Professor McGonagall.

Hermione turned to Harry whose hands were on his hips glaring at her. "Why were you dancing with him?" Harry asked.

"Do you have to know everything?" Hermione walked past Harry and went to the punch.

"He's the enemy," Harry said.

"He's not the enemy, Harry," Hermione retorted.
