Optimus started to remove as many rocks and boulders he could. Arcee was resting against the wall in recharge mode although he would go back to occasionally check on her to see if she was okay. He noticed dryed energon on his servos as he was moving boulders. It came from him trying to stop the bleeding.
He looked back at her to see her sitting against the wall hand placed over wound but he could tell it was still leaking and she looked a little more pale than she did the last time he laid his optics on her. Not that he could really tell because of the darkness. The only sources of light came from the glowing energon and his head lights. He didn't like the idea of her not being conscious due to her growing more and more tired each time her woke her.
They had no idea how deep they really were in this mine. It could take forever before he could dig them out and without a comm link signal he can't reach Ratchet or any of the other bots.
Arcee could run out of time before then and that was a risk he wasnt willing to take. Optimus started to dig some more. He wandered about Bulkhead and Bumblebee they needed back up which neither he nor Arcee could supply them given their current predicament.
He glanced back at Arcee again. He really tried to get to her in time but couldn't make it.
Starsceam had shot towards the both of them Optimus realized what was happening and saw the missiles speeding towards him and Arcee but he tried to protect her to no avail. He was only able to push her a little bit. Not enough to get her out of the way of the missile. He dodged his own which led to the cave in.
He only realized what had happened when his processor caught up to him the other missile had hit Arcee and backfired on him and he was blown backwards towards where the entrance was caving in his arm got crushed by a couple of bouldersbut it wasnt anything he couldnt handle. His optics widened when he saw Arcee and he tried to quickly remove the rocks that kept him pinned down and got up and ran towards her.
"Arcee?!" Optimus called after her. He knew she was knocked out as soon as the missile hit her but she hit the wall and then the ground. Energon started to pool under her. He didn't want to imagine what damage had been done. It pained him that he couldnt do anything fast enough to stop it.
Optimus rushed to her side and turned her over. It was just as bad as he expected. It had blown a hole in her mid section wires exposed and leaking energon fast. It he didn't push her it could have been way worse.
He tried to stop the bleeding by placing his hand over it but there was too much. It was no use and she wasn't responding to anything he didn't even know if her spark was still beating, as of right now he didn't know what to do.
Arcee fought falling back into recharge despite her systems all shutting themselves down she couldn't just lay here a die like this.
She tried to stand up on her own despite Optimus's protest to not expend her energy. She used to wall for support to get to her feet. Arcee started towards the wall of now rocks and boulders but fell forward half way there. Optimus ran to her side to aid her and she groaned trying to get up on her own her body was just too weak to do it on her own. It felt like every inch of her was on fire.
"Arcee" Optimus said as he tried to help her.
Arcee just smirked a slightly and said "just like the arctic" Optimus was a little taken aback he remembered that Arcee's systems started to shut down and how he had to keep trying to get her to focus on something so she wouldnt fall into recharge. She is much smaller in size than him so her systems were freezing quicker than his were. Eventually he too couldn't stay alert for much longer and he was getting too weak to hold his own self up.
He held her closer to him. Arcee felt her intakes getting heavier and she knew he did too but she couldn't do anything about it.
They are surrounded by energon but its still useless to them without it being processed.
Optimus laid her back against the wall and started to dig them out fast.
I know its been like 2-3 yrs since I last updated i completely forgot about this app and i was really busy i am so sorry but heres a new chapter.
