"So wait A minute this is the destination of pagans?" Kaliya asked as we travelled through the forest, holding dead trees, cobwebs, dead babies that were unbaptized, all along hearing whispers of our own undoing. "You dont believe?" "why dont you believe? Are your gods so powerful that like us you can belive in their lies?" I looked around as Kali, Virgil and Dante was travelling through the forest thats when I turned to them."are you guys hearing these voices?" and Kali stopped and looked around, and blinked. "I'm not hearing whispers but Im seeing visions," and sure enough she was, she saw visions of the mistakes that she had made in the apst years, Kyries, and melody, the family she abandoned, the ship she crossed there was so many she had caused we just kept walking, hoping they'd cease. Thats when we turned to Dante and Virgil. "Why cant you guys hear them, see them?" thats when Virgil stopped. "I cant hear it..we cant hear it because we have already passed over them, we are not in life here we're only guides, plus.."VIrgil stopped as they stopped at a tree before sighing. "This is where I reside..as a lifelong philosopher.." at that moment there was a cracking sound coming from in the trees and thats when We both looked up and our eyes widened as a group of gargoyle like creatures came swinging their arms down at us from on high, Scythes, swords, whips, and chains all those that you would use to make those beg for death came down on them. Kali looked up as did I before I pulled out of my Blutinferne Katana and Kali pulled out her long chain knife we both prepared for battle. Suddenly Swish one of them swung a scythe at me and and I ducked and stabbed into its chest before upper cut slashed the scythe and the gargoyle from chest to skull, blood spraying slightly from the wounds before it fell back and turned into Ash then another that Kali leaped and dodged a sword from another gargoyle Kali was strong she was able to handle herself I saw her pull out her knife as a gargolye two feet taller swung a sword down onto her and she jumped back as it landed on the ground which she then leaped forward and delivered a knee to its stomach before it backed up and dropped its sword thats when Kali leaped up and delivered a wrestling drop kick that landed into its chest and that little girl had the power to send it back before it fell on its back and Kali leaped forward and drove a knife into its throat causing it to vanish. Thats when I leaped back to her and grabbed her arm. "Lets go we cant take them all out we need to get out of this forest" so we started to run and ran hard travelling through the forest occasionally cleaving another gargoyle here and there. By the time we got to the edge Dante and Virgil looked at us from up ahead. "Here over the bridge hurry" Sure enough the bridge to the virtuous pagans was starting to close because the gargoyles have been awakened but by the time we got there the bridge had become too far to cross so I picked up Kali and leaped HARD and easily saved three meters getting onto the last of the bridge before climbing into the hallway of the pagans closing the gate and door to the onslaught of gargoyles. As we walked through the hallway, into the light there was only shadows of many different rulers and philosophers of the golden rennaisance age, many whom I admired as a scholar;

"Everyone, Class? SILENCIO!" Cynthia called as she hit her stick on her desk multiple times, which elicited silence from about 60% of the students, most of them I probably would not ever remember because of Russia.

"I am excited to announce we have a new student, Miss would you like to announce yourself?"

I looked around at them, and I could tell no one really cared, and if they did they were either A) undressing me with their eyes, B) jealous of "insert special trait here", or C) Showing me respect yeah If you believed that last one you really haven't been paying attention to students in school. the last 20% were just staring into space in my direction.

I blinked a couple of times, waited for everyone to hush up, and spoke.

"Greetings everyone I'm..." I stop for a second, I have a lot of respect for my name as a Night, we all do, but I'm in witness protection, so likely speaking of my real self is not the best especially if you're trying to stay hidden, so I think of the last name that comes to mind.

"Setsuna Marie, I'm a transfer student from the country of Germany. I'm twenty-two years, and I am glad to be here," ok so I milked it a bit, but GERMANY? Yes Germany I have the ability to imitate any accent perfectly and while I came from Italy, I always felt my vampiric charm was more germanic, so Germany.

OK so fireworks were over, and after a short curtsey, which looked weird in jeans, I landed in an empty seat in the center to the left. Thank god I wasn't able to read minds like those other vampires from pop culture, I think I would have been able to confirm how many were undressing me with their eyes, jealous of my "insert trait here", and who was still staring into space if I could.

At the start of the day and papers were passed out history papers. History of Italian culture, oh the fun I get to describe my culture without being a part of it. I open the packet and began reading about the world. When they were talking about the War of Germany and Italy, they were referring to the history that led up to the Witch trials and the Nazis Death Knights.

I sigh and open the packet and started to read, well more like proofread I knew what I needed to know but It was best to see what the world saw.

What I found was rather shocking what history put together:

"Renaissance art, painting, sculpture, architecture, music, and literature produced during the 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries in Europe under the combined influences of increased awareness of nature, a revival of classical learning, and a more individualistic view of man. Scholars no longer believe that the Renaissance marked an abrupt break with medieval values, as is suggested by the French word Renaissance, literally "rebirth." Rather, historical sources suggest that interest in nature, humanistic learning, and individualism were already present in the late medieval period and became dominant in 15th- and 16th-century Italy concurrently with social and economic changes such as the secularization of daily life, the rise of a rational money-credit economy, and greatly increased social mobility.

Renaissance art is marked by a gradual shift from the abstract forms of the medieval period to the representational forms of the 15th century. Subjects grew from mostly biblical scenes to include portraits, episodes from Classical religion, and events from contemporary life. Human figures are often rendered in dynamic poses, showing expression, using gestures, and interacting with one another. They are not flat but suggest mass, and they often occupy a realistic landscape, rather than stand against a gold background as some figures do in the art of the Middle Ages. Renaissance art from Northern Europe emphasized precise detail as a means of achieving a realistic work.

Characteristics of Renaissance art, notable naturalism, can be found in 13th-century European art but did not dominate until the 15th century. Scholars have traditionally described the turn of the 16th century as the culmination of the Renaissance, when, primarily in Italy, such artists as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Raphael made not only realistic but complex art. About 1520 the Renaissance gave way to Mannerism, wherein a sense of drama pervaded otherwise realistic art.

Two of the most famous artworks in history were painted during the Renaissance: the Mona Lisa (c. 1503–19) and the Last Supper (c. 1495–98), both executed by Leonardo da Vinci, which show an interest not only in representing the human figure realistically but also in imbuing it with the character through expression, gesture, and posture. Other famous artworks include Michelangelo's sculpture of David (1501–04) and his paintings for the Sistine Chapel (ceiling, 1508–12; Last Judgment, 1536–41), in which the artist pushed the accurate representation of human anatomy to challenging extremes with complicated elegant poses. Raphael's School of Athens (c. 1508–11) celebrates the intellectual by populating a deep hall, skillfully executed using the recently codified linear perspective, with notable Western thinkers. Donatello's David (early 15th century) recalls Classical sculpture through the use of contrapposto, wherein the figure stands naturally with the weight on one leg. Albrecht Dürer exemplifies the Northern European interest in meticulous detail in his Self-Portrait (1500), while Titian's Venus of Urbino (1538) illustrates the Venetian interest in representing soft light and vibrant color.

Interest in humanism, a philosophy that emphasized the individual and the human capacity for fulfillment through reason, transformed the Renaissance artist from an anonymous craftsman to an individual practicing an intellectual pursuit. Artists introduced new subjects to their work, which reflected the growing emphasis on the individual, including portraits, scenes of contemporary life, and historical narratives. Although Renaissance culture was becoming increasingly secular, religion was still important to daily life, especially in Italy, where the seat of Catholicism was located. A good portion of Renaissance art depicted scenes from the Bible or was commissioned by the church. Emphasis on naturalism, however, placed such figures as Christ and the Madonna not on a magnificent gold background, as in the Middle Ages, but in landscapes from the observable world.

I'm brought back from the vision that I had to the vision before me the images such as Socrates and plato, and aristotle was arguing ok debating over the fact of life; born 470–399 BC Socrates was a greek philosopher from Athens who is credited as the founder of Western philosophy and among the first moral philosophers of the ethical tradition of thought. An enigmatic figure, Socrates authored no texts and is known mainly through the posthumous accounts of classical writers, particularly his student Plato that he was talking with . Now Plato was an innovator of the written dialogue and dialectic forms in philosophy. He raised problems for what became all the major areas of both theoretical philosophy and practical philosophy. His most famous contribution is the theory of forms (or ideas), which has been interpreted as advancing a solution to what is now known as the problem of universals. He is the namesake of Platonic love and the Platonic solids. His own most decisive philosophical influences are usually thought to have been, along with Socrates, the pre-Socratics Pythagoras, Heraclitus, and Parmenides, Socrates gave us the question on what was real, that when we close one sense that another sense takes over, that when we close all senses what is the sense that makes things real, . I go back to the time that I studied in my college class in russia and I remember we had quite abit to talk about in the italian world. We kept walking through and we passed many different philosophers I knew too well because I studied them, how horrible that they never made it to heaven…Heaven did I say that I didnt believe in such a place.. Maybe I too am damned to be here, that I look at my own reflection in the puddles and forgot I dont have a reflection…vampires are damned once the blood touches our lips, once our heart stops we gain a cursed immortality. "Selena come now is not the place to contemplate we must make haste its only a matter of time before the Deathknights..the Sons and judgements know we are here" and Kali looked around and noddedthe same. "Cant they see us?" and Dante looked over at us. "How do you expect them to see what they cant contemplate? They dont believe in god, therefore dont believe in hell, they are doomed to be in the middle arguing over the existence of their lives for all eternity" and Kali sighed, clearly saddened. "So Sad, God youd think that has given so much would be returned" and Virgil walked over. "Kaliya your so bright for so one as small as you, but so educated so you can see as a hebrew as an israelite where others do not.." and Kali nodded and wiped a tear away. Thats when She got up and started back to me and in that moment I heard the argument that they spoke they questioned god, they questioned morality, they questioned reality it was sad they couldnt see what was before them, Socrates and Plato were arguing over themselves,while poets such as edgar allen poe, Robert blake, as well as writers such as Aristophanes, shakespeare, bram stoker, there were artists such as titian, leonardo de vinci raphael,donatello,michelangelo A sigh came out of Kali thats when I went to her she was looking at someone who was writing a script and contemplating and I pressed my hand to her shoulder. "Whose this Kali?" I asked and She sighed, "Homer…the writer of the odyssey my favorite playwright I met him once He was a singer and performer, thus known as a bard. Some people say he was blind, therefore known as the blind bard, and he He used the earliest alphabet. He composed a collection of poems depicting the Trojan War's events in a book of poetry titled the Epic Cycle, One of the earliest academics in history was him" She sighed and I smiled and pulled her as Dante and VIrgil was calling. "Come sisters, we must continue" we both headed out to the hallway lit down the way by small torches, the door closing behind us as we continued to travel through the city.
