"Come on, Dustin," Lucas said. "Give us a show!"

The dreaded day finally came when Eleven and the Byers were to move to Lenora Hills. The party and Nancy had come to help them pack their final things and say goodbye. Right now, Max and Lucas were standing in the living room, still trying to get Dustin to sing. "Turn around, look at what you see," Max and Lucas sang. "In her face, the mirror of her dreams."

Dustin raised his right middle finger at them. "You're no fun," Max complained.

Nancy and Jonathan entered the room. "Do you have to go?" Nancy asked. "You can live with me. We can turn the basement into a bedroom for you. It's your senior year. Moving is going to suck."

"I need to go," Jonathan said. "I need to be there for Will and El. You and I will be together again. Next year, we'll be off at college."

Will was in his room. He was collecting the last of his items. He had packed almost everything. He just had a few knick-knacks to grab. Will couldn't help but cry. He had lived in Hawkins his entire life. California felt like a completely new country. There would be no Lucas, Max, Dustin, or Mike.

Well, Hawkins no longer had that last item either.

Will packed some of his books. His eyes landed on something. It was a stuffed frog that Mike gave him for his sixth birthday. He slept with it until he was ten. Lonnie threatened to throw it away, so Will lied and said he would do it himself. In reality, Will just hid it behind his books.

He placed the frog plush, Chewie, into the box. He couldn't believe he almost forgot it. Will sealed the box with duct tape. That was all of his belongings. He lifted the box back into his arms.

Eleven entered their room. Ever since Eleven moved in, they were sharing a room. Eleven reached her arm towards her dresser. She stood there for a moment, with a furrowed look on her face. Will walked over to the dresser, grabbed the teddy, and handed it to her. "I'm sure they'll come back," Will promised.

"They've never left me before," Eleven said.

"It's probably just all the stress," Will said with a shrug. "You're starting school this year. Are you nervous?"

"Yes," Eleven responded.

"It is nerve-wracking," Will sighed. "But I'll be by your side every step of the way."

"Thank you," Eleven said.

Joyce entered the bedroom. "Are you ready to go?" she asked.

"I guess," Will said.

"Then let's get this show on the road," Joyce said. She had a hurt tone in her voice. The move wasn't as easy for her as Will first thought. The Byers clan, plus Eleven, walked outside. The party and Nancy were waiting for them.

Jonathan went to say goodbye to Nancy. The young couple pressed their foreheads together. Nancy held the back of his neck gently. Will had to turn away. What would I say if Mike were here? Would I even be able to say goodbye to him?

Will turned to face his friends. "Don't go all Cali on us," Max said.

"I'm going to call you on the phone so much," Lucas promised. "The phone bill is going to be so high."

"We're going to try and come for fall break," Dustin said. "Maybe you can come for spring break."

"Or you guys could come to Cali," Jonathan suggested. "The beaches are going to be beautiful."

"The party will be together again before you know it," Lucas said. It'll never be complete again. "You probably won't even have time to miss us. You'll be too busy with your new friends."

"Don't forget about me," Will said.

"You made that impossible," Lucas laughed.

Dustin was holding something. "Here," he said. "Something to remember me by."

"You're giving me your uncanny X-Men number one-hundred and thirty-four?" Will exclaimed.

"I owed you," Dustin answered.

"Thank you," Will said. "I already miss you guys so much."

"Don't get all sappy on us," Max said. "I don't want to cry until after you leave."

"We need to get going," Joyce said.

Will stepped away from the group. Something is missing. Oh, right. "Hawkins will never be the same without you," Lucas said.

"And California will never be Hawkins," Will responded.

"Hopefully, no second dimensions there," Dustin joked. Dustin chuckled in a bittersweet way.

"Bye, guys," Will said.

"Goodbye," the party said. Will and the others climbed into Joyce's car. Will didn't know how to explain it, but he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder. Though, the only people there were him, Eleven, Jonathan, and his Mom.

The car pulled off. Will began to silently weep. The presence left eventually. Make believe I'm everywhere, hidden in the lines.

On the way out, they passed the destroyed mall. The image of Mike's impaled body returned to Will's mind. Will swallowed the bile that formed in the back of his throat. After that, they passed the Hawkins sign.

"Hey, Will," Jonathan said. "I made you something."

Jonathan handed Will a mixtape and earphones. "Thanks," Will said. He put in the earphones and played the first song.

Darling, you've gotta let me know
