Ralph, the villain Wreck-It-Ralph never thought he'd become a father. Not that he didn't want to become a father...far from it...he just didn't think it was possible. Huge difference.

And was he nervous at all? Well, if anyone around the other arcade games were to ask him that question, he'd be lying through his teeth, claiming that he wasn't. Not that he didn't enjoy lying to hide that feeling sometimes. Okay, a lot of times. But it's not like everyone in the whole word of video games interrogated him on that.

Ralph was sitting in the kitchen of his apartment (that Felix helped build), well, now his and his wife's apartment. His bold and beautiful Shank. Yes, that Shank. The Shank from 'Slaughter Race', the one person he used to think of as an enemy when they first encountered each other, believing the chick was gonna take Vanellope away from him, and even though that's what she ended up doing in the end, by Vanellope's choice, she somehow also succeeded in befriending him too.

Overtime, Shank and Ralph's friendship grew to something more. After many months of hanging out together, it came to a head when they had shared their first kiss...which then led to their relationship, becoming boyfriend and girlfriend.

Ralph remembered the days when he'd visit the game to either flirt with Shank or to just simply make-out with her. Shank, much like Felix's wife Sgt. Jean Calhoun, was a tough gal, and whatever Shank want, Shank got, and Ralph was more than happy to give her anything. She was his Slaughter Queen and to her, he was The Wrecker of Her Heart. The one person who saw beyond her wild racer exterior.

Ralph and Shank may have been dating...but they didn't want to get married. They weren't the marrying kind. Ralph with his game and Shank with her own. Two different worlds. They knew it wouldn't work out and they were okay with that. They were content just seeing each other.

But...it seemed one night...fate had other plans. It started out like normal...at first.

Ralph was visiting his girlfriend but then when he found her at her usual spot...she was wearing her racing gear...the bottom part, that is.

Ralph's cheeks couldn't help but redden at the sight of Shank wearing those tight jeans and a bra. When Shank noticed him, she startled and grabbed at her jacket. But Ralph gave a little smirk then had approached her and touched her cheek.

"What you're wearing now isn't so bad," Ralph whispered against Shank's lips.

Shank returned Ralph's smirk then drew him in for a kiss as he snapped off her bra. Her bare breasts were now against his chest, Ralph began to feel a certain special part of him swell up...and it wasn't his heart. Ralph needed his girl. He 'wanted' his girl right then. And Shank definitely obliged as she pulled Ralph down, like a tigress claiming her newly caught prey.

After that, the two thought that was the end and nothing was gonna come of it.

As they laid naked against each other, that one question did cross Shank's mind. Shank turned to Ralph and tracing her finger against his large chest, had looked up at him.

"Do you think I can become pregnant, babe?" Shank asked, worriedly.

"I don't see how. Kinda unlikely for video game characters to become that," Ralph replied, shrugging.

"I..."

"Trust me, hon, it was only one time and you becoming pregnant is a rarity in these parts," Ralph assured, kissing the top of Shank's head, treading his fingers against her dark hair.

Ralph would soon discover how wrong he was though.

A couple weeks later, Ralph had returned to the game to see Shank but to his surprise, she wasn't there. When asking the other racers about it, they claimed that Shank was in some sort of mood and was thinking about quitting racing.

Vanellope was the only one willing to tell Ralph the whole story. She said that Shank was her usual cool self...a week ago. But then, she began to snap at everyone (including her) and had slowly stopped attending the races until she gave up completely and locked herself up in her shack.

Ralph was shocked. He knew Shank wouldn't quit...not without a serious reason behind it. Ralph told Vanellope he needed to see her and Vanellope readily agreed, for her two best buddies' sakes.

When Ralph made it to the shack on Vanellope's motorcycle, Ralph had gone over to the door and knocked. He leaned against it, hoping to hear a footstep but was getting nothing.

"Shank, babe, I know you're in there. Are you going to let me in or do I need to pummel the door down?" Ralph asked.

"Is it just you, Ralph?"

Ralph's features softened then. Eyes filled with concern. It was Shank's voice he was hearing but she sounded so...flat...dull. That wasn't like his Slaughter Queen at all and it made Ralph panic internally. Something was wrong. He could tell. Ralph looked back at Vanellope who nodded then he turned back to the door.

"It's just me, babe. Can we talk?"

Ralph then heard footsteps much to his relief and he found himself fully relaxing when he heard the door click open. But then...his concern quickly returned.

Staring back at him was a worn-out Shank. Her hair was a mess and Ralph could see dark circles underneath her beautiful-looking eyes. But what worried him the most was that it had also looked as if Shank had been recently crying.

"Sweetie, what's going on?" Ralph asked in a soft tone.

"Come on. I'll explain everything," Shank said quietly, grabbing onto Ralph's hand.

Ralph found himself being led into Shank's place. He looked around. Ralph used ot live in a dump but it wouldn't compare to this. But then again, this was also Shank's lifestyle.

Ralph didn't have time to view all the mess as Shank grabbed his hand again and led him into her small bedroom. Shank sat on the bed then motioned to the spot beside her and Ralph accepted the invitation and sat beside his girlfriend. Shank grabbed Ralph's hand for a third ttime then had turned to him.

"I...need to tell you something that I can't tell the other racers. I don't know what they'd do," Shank began, touching Ralph's face with her free hand.

"You can tell me anything, hon," Ralph assured, grazing his big thumb across Shank's small knuckle.

"Ralph...I'm pregnant," Shank finally said.

Her voice was so quiet that at first Ralph thought he didn't hear her right but then the look on her face...it had to be true. Ralph stared at Shank, not saying anything...the shock of it all still registering. His mind still reeling.

"Ralph..."

Ralph snapped out of his blank stare then he had gently cupped Shank's face then had kissed her softly. When they pulled away, Ralph looked down at Shank's flat stomach, now having the knowledge that it wouldn't stay that way for long. It would be swelling up with a baby. 'Their' baby. Ralph had placed his hand over Shank's stomach then looked up at her.

"How long?" Ralph asked.

"Three weeks," Shank replied, sighing heavily, her hand joining Ralph's.

"Are...are you okay?"

"Are you?"

Ralph looked down at his and Shank's hands joined together against her stomach. There were so many emotions he was feeling. Shock, concern, guilt, fear...but there was also love. He already loved the baby. It came from Shank, his Slaughter Queen. A little racer or maybe a wrecker like him. It didn't sound so bad. Ralph looked back up at Shank.

"I...couldn't feel happier about this," Ralph said, smiling lightly.

"So...what do we do now, then?" Shank asked.

And now here they were today, married and living in their new apartment. Once Ralph found out about this and Shank asked where they went from here, the answer was clear.

Shank and Ralph knew it was gonna be a shotgun wedding...but Ralph wanted to do the proper thing. They had a small brief ceremony with only Vanellope, Felix and Calhoun as their guests. All Ralph cared about then was seeing to it that Shank was taken care of properly from now on.

For awhile, they debated where to live. Ralph had a dreaded feeling that the Nicelanders from his game would be anything but that towards his pregnant wife and they were both concerned about the treatment Shank would receive in her game. They finally chose a spot...the Sugar Rush game.

There really weren't any houses for them. So, Felix insisted that he'd do that job for them. It had taken awhile for the apartment to be built, by then, Shank was already 5 months along and beginning to show.

Another month later, Shank and Ralph had discovered something else surprising and it topped their unplanned pregnancy...but in a good way. During an appointment, Shank had to have an ultrasound done to check on the baby, and as the doctor looked at the screen, she did not find one baby...but two. Twins. The moment the doctor uttered that one word, Ralph had hit the floor much to Shank's concern yet amusement.

Shank was now in her 8th month and it was now pretty obvious that she was indeed carrying twins, nobody would've guessed before those 2 months ago. As excited as he and Shank were that their babies would be arriving soon, Ralph had begun to become nervous once the reality did set in.

Ralph could easily handle one baby, he was fine with that. But since it was twins, Ralph was worried about messing things up, he was a villain, didn't they make things worse? What if he got angry with them or crushed them to death if the first time he held them? He wanted to be the best dad ever but how could he do that if he was so worried about hurting them?

Ralph looked over at the ultrasound photo of their twins on the fridge. He couldn't help but smile at the fuzzy image of the two small heads. But they...were so small. Ralph's smile faltered as he then lowered his gaze and began to drum his fingers quietly against the counter.

"Hi."

Ralph turned to see Shank standing in front of him. He didn't even know she was watching him. How long, it didn't matter to him. But there she was. Ralph stared fondly at the sight of her. Her long hair was down and she was wearing pajama pants and a t-shirt that rode up, revealing most of her swollen belly that contained their twins. She looked thrashed but Ralph could still see that distinctive glow to her features. She was stunning.

"Hi, beautiful," Ralph replied.

Shank moved closer then had touched Ralph's cheek, Ralph melted into her touch then had kissed her wrist then gently pulled her closer to his side. Shank wrapped her arms around Ralph's large body then kissed the side of his head.

"What are you doing up?" Shank asked.

"Thinking," Ralph replied, shrugging.

"About what?"

Ralph wanted to respond to that, but he wasn't ready to tell her...not now. Another time. Ralph instead had looked up at her then stroked her hair, his eyes bearing into hers.

"Nothing important," Ralph said, casually, shrugging again.

Shank nodded, allowing the answer, but Ralph noticed her frown slightly, like she knew that he was hiding something. Ralph cleared his throat then he had looked down at her belly then had placed his hand over it.

"How are our little wrecker and racer doing?" Ralph asked, his eyes focused on the bump.

"Kicking like they're running out of room space," Shank replied, chuckling.

Ralph chuckled back then he rested his head against Shank's belly, planting a few gentle kisses to it, then he had looked back up at Shank, frowning in concern.

"How are you feeling, sweetie?"

"Fat, moody, ready for these guys to come out already," Shank said, crossing her arms.

"I'm sorry, babe."

"Hey, I didn't say it wasn't enjoyable," Shank said, smiling, stroking Ralph's neck.

Ralph gave Shank another loving glance before returning to his task of bonding with their twins. As Ralph's ear was pressed against the swell, he could hear the babies' heartbeats. It did ease him a little knowing that they sounded strong. They were fighters like him and Shank. But the problem wasn't the twins, it was himself. Ralph tried to push those oncoming thoughts away by talking to the babies. That always helped.

"Hey, you goofy, little monkeys. It's Daddy. Daddy's right here, my little sweeties," Ralph cooed to Shank's belly.

If the other villains could see him now, they'd probably be teasing him, but he wouldn't care. He loved that the babies moved at the sound of his voice. They knew he was there with them and it was incredible. Sometimes it made Ralph tear up.

As Ralph continued resting against Shank's belly and kissing it, he then felt Shank's frame flinch against him. He looked up and noticed that Shank looked a little uncomfortable. Most likely from the babies kicking too hard. Ralph began to gently rub small circles over Shank's belly and he saw her beginning to relax.

"Thanks," Shank said, smiling, now gratefully.

"Kicking your ribs again?" Ralph guessed.

"Yeah, probably your son," Shank said, stroking Ralph's chin.

"That's my boy," Ralph said, eyeing Shank's belly, fondly.

"Hey, don't encourage him," Shank said, pretending to sound annoyed, swatting Ralph's arm playfully.

"At least our little princess won't be causing much mischief, will you, sweetheart?" Ralph cooed to the swell, still rubbing it.

"I think she's gonna have a big heart like her old man, a cliche Daddy's girl," Shank said, chuckling, directing Ralph's hand over to where their son was now moving.

"And this little guy is gonna be tough like his Mom," Ralph said, planting a soft kiss against Shank's bare belly.

"Hmm." Shank hummed, leaning her head against Ralph's shoulder.

After a few more minutes of Ralph and Shank being close together, him rubbing, kissing and talking to her belly. Shank looked over at the clock then she turned back to Ralph.

"You ready to finally get some sleep?" Shank asked her husband.

"Yeah," Ralph said, kissing Shank's cheek.

Shank and Ralph returned to their bedroom hand-in-hand. Two hours later, they were sleeping, nestled against each other, Ralph's head leaning against Shank's, his arm draped over her belly protectively while they both snored lightly.

Shank's face then etched into slight pain then she began to stir, moving around. She opened her eyes and saw Ralph still asleep. She was about to close her eyes again but then the pain returned. Shank sat up and then gently grabbed at her belly, looking down at in concern. She felt another twinge then had removed the covers. When she saw a large puddle of water at her feet, her eyes had widened then she quickly had grabbed Ralph's arm and began to shake him away.

"Ralph! Ralph, babe, wake up!" Shank called out, trying to sound calm.

Ralph groaned sleepily then he opened his eyes and turned and saw Shank staring back at him. She looked terrified but he could see a faint hint of a smile. Ralph sat up then caressed Shank's cheek.

"What is it, hon?" Ralph asked.

"My water broke," Shank said, looking down.

Ralph followed Shank's gaze to the small puddle. When he had seen that, Ralph had quickly got out of bed, then had carefully helped Shank stand up. She didn't have time to regain her balance as she suddenly doubled over, the pain now worsened. Ralph was immediately at her side and held onto her.

"Everything's gonna be okay, babe," Ralph said, kissing the back of Shank's head.

"I know it is," Shank replied painfully, nodding.

Shank had felt another contraction then Ralph offered his hand and she quickly grabbed onto it, clutching it, biting into it. Ralph knew then that she had to get to that hospital game and fast.

Ralph had lifted Shank up into his arms, carrying her out of their apartment, out of Sugar Rush, to the arcade border, to the train and through it all, Shank's pain intensified. When they had got to the hospital game 'Ambulance Chasers', by the time she was loaded into the ambulance, the pain was so severe that she was sweating, shaking and yelling.

As the medics began giving her pain meds and checking her vitals, Ralph didn't let go of Shank's hand, afraid that if he did, she'd slip away right in front of him. He couldn't hide being nervous anymore. Seeing how much pain Shank was currently in, he was scared of losing the three most important people in his life.

Luckily, they were at the hospital in minutes. Ralph and the medics had hurried Shank inside the emergency level of the game, as more doctors and nurses went over to help. Ralph made sure Shank was in his line of vision as he stroked her forehead.

"You're gonna be okay, sweetheart," Ralph whispered to Shank, soothingly.

But then Ralph was stopped at the doors by a nurse and told him to stay there, much to his concern. When asked why, the nurse told him that Shank's health bar level was getting lower and lower due to her pain, that she needed to have the twins out by C-section but Ralph couldn't be with her since they needed to concentrate if they were to fix things and having him there would probably stress Shank out.

"She and those twins are barely alive," The nurse said, shaking her head.

And then with that, the nurse was gone and all Ralph could hear was Shank screaming for him. He moved to open the doors but there was a barrier around them.

"What? No!" Ralph cried out.

Ralph tried and tried to wreck the barrier but it was too strong and Shank's screams grew louder and louder against his ears. He could feel his heart shattering piece by piece due to her yelling.

Ralph was starting to get tired, his hands tingling due to banging against the shield until he had slumped down, sighing in defeat. He leaned against the doors and was forced to hear Shank's cries of pain.

Was this his punishment for not telling Shank the truth? Was this The Big Guy's way of testing him? If so, he didn't like it. Not one bit. If only he had told Shank before, or maybe he didn't take care of her and the twins right or...

Ralph huddled his legs together then placed his face into his hands and began to sniffle then cry. If Shank and the twins would live, he wouldn't be nervous, he'd just be what they wanted him to be. He would.

Ralph didn't know how long he'd been crying for. Just as he was beginning to calm down, he heard a faint noise behind him. He quickly stood up then turned in time to see the barrier come down from the doors.

Before Ralph had a chance to burst through them, the same nurse had come out. Ralph quickly became nervous again when she wasn't saying anything but then she slowly smiled then placed a hand on his arm.

"Would you like to go see your wife and kids now?" The nurse asked.

"Are they...?"

"There was some bleeding from Shank and it did take awhile to make the twins vitiable, but..other than that...everyone pulled through. You've got a tough wife, WR."

"You're damn right I do," Ralph laughed.

"Go ahead."

The doors were finally opened and Ralph immediately took that advantage at record-speed. He was able to find Shank's hospital room in only seconds. When he opened the door, he was greeted with a sight he'd never forget even if his game got shut down.

There was Shank lying in her hospital bed, now donning a hospital gown, her hair was dampened with sweat and her skin looked a little pale and her eyes look drained, but she was smiling and to Ralph, still as gorgeous as ever, and in her arms, were two bundles, one baby wrapped up in pink and the other in blue.

"Hi," Ralph greeted, quietly.

"Hey knucklehead," Shank said, tiredly.

Ralph slowly went over to Shank then had kissed her forehead, she sighed, then had lean her head against Ralph's shoulder. Ralph moved closer and carefully hugged her close.

"How are you feeling now, hon?" Ralph asked, stroking Shank's cheek.

"Tired," Shank mumbled.

"Imagine you would be, bringing our little guy and girl into this world," Ralph said, now rubbing Shank's arm gently with the back of his hand.

"Speaking of which, you ready to see who is our little wrecker and little racer?" Shank asked, clearly already knowing the answer.

Ralph looked down at the babies against Shank then eagerly nodded. Shank chuckled then she uncovered the blankets, giving Ralph his actual first glimpse of the twins.

Ralph became in awe at the sight of them. Especially when he noticed that their son had Shank's beautiful looks, right down to his nose and the hints of Shank's hair color and their daughter, she was most certainly a little bit bigger than her brother and strands of that hair color was unmistakable. His hair color. 'Their little girl, big heart like her Daddy but their little guy, strong like his Mommy.' And knowing that they also shared their features. It was almost kismet.

"Shango and Raina," Ralph whispered.

"Perfect," Shank said, kissing Ralph's cheek.

Ralph could not take his eyes off his babies. His and Shank's perfect little twins. Ralph gently brushed his finger along Raina's cheek and she didn't even stir, infact, she was smiling. Shank turned to Ralph, she could see his chest swelling with pride, the love filling his eyes over their babies, but then her smile faltered...somewhat.

"You were feeling nervous, weren't you?" Shank asked.

"What?"

"About the twins. You were nervous about the twins being born, am I right?"

"No. No. I..."

"Hey, you know me better than that, I won't judge you," Shank said, nestling closer to Ralph's side.

"I...was feeling nervous. Having all these messed-up scenarios in my head. What if I can't take care of them? What if I hurt them when I hold onto them? What if I mess up?..."

Ralph's voice trailed off once he again focused his gaze on the babies. Ralph sighed then he continued gently touching their daughter's face then had done the same with their son, then he had looked up at Shank then had kissed her.

"But you know what? It's not important anymore," Ralph said, shrugging.

Shank chuckled then had fallen asleep against Ralph while he kept watch over their twins in case they woke up and started crying. Little Shango began fussing. As if by instinct, Ralph had quickly but carefully had taken him out of Shank's arms then held the baby close to his chest. Small dark eyes looked up at Ralph then he had allowed the baby to grip his finger.

"Hey, little buddy. I'm your Daddy. And you don't have to worry, I'm gonna take such great care of you two," Ralph vowed.
