Surrounding both Iruka and Mizuki in the once-empty clearing were now hundreds of clones of Naruto.

Now, even in a short amount of time, a lot can happen, especially in the ninja world where schemes are planned down to the microsecond. So let's slow down and see step by step what exactly happened here.

The first were surprised expressions on both Iruka and Muzuki's faces. The shadow clone technique, while a sealed one, was still well known among the Kohana nin for being difficult and chakra intensive to pull off. Especially with our two teachers having grown up in the age of Itachi, they have seen how effective a technique it can be. But also how many wanna-be copycats tried and failed to replicate the technique, only to end up in the hospital with chakra exhaustion.

The next thing to happen is Mizuki made the informed and reasonable decision to start hauling ass and book it out of there as fast as he can.

You would not think it, but the teachers at the academy are probably some of the fittest shinobi after the Anbu and only some jonin, having to constantly fix and rescue students from the mistakes they make. Mizuki, especially being the taijutsu instructor and having prepared for this day, still ran.

Naruto was a handful, even for him, at the best of times. Add a few hundred solid clones of him and an injured Iruka to back him up, he was confident he could win but the rest of Kohona would be on his ass before then.

Coming up next is Naruto, after harming one of his few precious people in the village, he saw red and knew that he couldn't let him get away with that.

Mizuki was running now with every Naruto beginning to run after him as well, the original also taking off after him. Instinctually he raised to hand, trying to reach and grab Mizuki so that he would not be able to get away with this transgression.

Finally, we have what the Nine-Tails did, for the first time in 3 generations, it saw an opportunity to maybe get out of its current cage.

Normally being one of the tailed beasts, they have full control of what their chakra does and where it goes, but after being stuck in three different jinchuriki their patience has worn thin, blindly pouring chakra into the brat.

Immediately the Ninetales knew it had made a mistake, its chakra being a natural part of them had instinct's and while corrosive, it healed its user so that their vessel wouldn't immediately die from their poisonous chakra with them inside. The problem was there were Several different chakras in Naruto, ones it would have never been found if they hadn't pushed chakra everywhere they could.

There was Naruto's own rich light blue and the Ninetale's vibrant crimson red. The other two were hidden from sight dormant but lingering. Two extra guardians no one was aware of. One similar to Naruto's was a very pale translucent blue with red flakes and the other a rich ocean blue with flecks of yellow.

The Ninetales chakra, while rushing out of its enclosure, recognized the similar chakra that had once been its past jailers. Being similar enough and feeling weaker the red chakra rushed in the lighter blue feeding it instead trying to 'heal' it. Now engorged a chakra mixture of pale blue and red rushed and coated Naruto's coils. Now normally this wouldn't do a thing but with the red chakra working only on instinct, it noticed that the Light blue chakra was missing something from the pale blue one and began to 'heal' the difference. This is how the Ninetail's desperate and thoughtless grab for freedom unlocked a dormant bloodline.

"RRRRRHHHHHAAAAAAAAA………" Deep in Naruto the Ninetales began a quite impressive rage stringing along a series of expletives creatively, in such a way it would not be appropriate for anyone of any age to hear. Naruto was unaware of the beast's rage and truly historical cussing session, the other bijuu though sensed or listened to what/how their sibling had messed up with a few of them getting a chuckle out of what made it through the connection they shared. Also not thinking about how this might bite them in the ass later.

Back in the outside world there between Mizuki and Naruto were several glowing chains with one end attached to Naruto's hand and the others wrapped around Mizuki's leg. Naruto, while at first confused, began to smile.

Mizuki tried to get the chains off.

They wouldn't budge.

Naruto had a face-splitting grin

"Mizuki sensei, do you ever wonder what it would be like to be a living pinata?"

Mizuki's only response was to try to get the chains off faster.

Naruto with a whip of the chains and a pull had Mizuki stumble and then fell off the branch hanging mid-air with several dozen of the clones armed with sticks and branches who had picked up what Naruto was implying with the pinata comment.

As Mizuki began to get beaten, clones began jeering and shouting.

"That's for tricking me."

"Let's see how many weapons we can beat out of him."

"You think we'll get candy outta him?"

"Your taijutsu class always sucked."

"Here is 65 of a thousand hits for Iruka sensei."

"FOR RAMEN!"

After ten minutes of a nonstop beat down, all the clones and the chains dispersed leaving Naruto, Iruka, and a bruise that could be identified as Mizuki.

As Naruto rubbed the back of his head he asked Iruka "Are you okay Iruka Sensei? Sorry I should have checked earlier but I got a bit carried away." ending it with a nervous chuckle.

Iruka having been patched up with the help of some clones during the truly legendary beatdown sat up and beckoned Naruto over "Yeah, just a bit but im ok," and with a slightly pained smile said "But come over for a minute, I want to give you something. And close your eyes while you're at it"

Naruto did so only fidgeting slightly while Irukua messed with something on his head, thankful that Iruka wasn't going to smack him over the head.

"Go ahead and open your eyes," Iruka said with a smile

Naruto took a moment to figure out what he did after noticing his goggles in Iruka's hand and his headband missing. His hands jumped to his head and felt the cool metal of a headband.

"Really sensei!" Naruto said with surprise and hope.

Iruka with a nod kept smiling "Yes Naruto, congratulations on becoming a genin, what you did just now proves you have what it takes to finally graduate and become a ninja of the hidden leaf."

Naruto began to Jump and cheer proclaiming his gaining of the headband

Iruka continued "And as congratulations on making it I'll treat you to ramen tonight."

The cheering then doubled as Naruto's excitement rose.

"Lord third, sectors A7 through A11 have been checked, with no sign of Uzumaki." Ferret relayed to the Hokage sitting at his desk gazing into a crystal ball.

"Mhm, I have new orders" Pausing to take a quick puff of his pipe he continued " Call off the search, after that is done, get Cat, Mole, and Snail to meet up with Iruka and Naruto in sector 9B. I want you to bring Naruto over. The others are to retrieve and lock up the scroll, bring Mizuki to TnI, and get Iruka to the hospital. After he's looked over, I want a full report on what happened."

"Sir" in a swish, Ferret was gone, leaving the old Hokage alone, contemplating the discussion he would have to have with Naruto in a few moments. 'At least he now has something of his family' Hiruzen thought, hoping that Naruto gained another tool to help protect himself from the thorny path before him.123456789

They had just started trying to figure out what to do with their new prisoner when 4 of the animal-masked ninjas that chased him after some of his bigger pranks appeared. Four chains immediately appeared from his back hovering protectively over Iruka and himself seemingly responding to his spike of anxiety.

The one with a ferret mask walked forward, palms facing up. " It's ok young Uzumaki, we've just come to get you all, you're not in trouble."

Naruto relaxed with the chains retracting.

"Cat get the scroll and lock it up". Cat ran up to the clone handling the scroll and holding out their hand, the clone handed it over and then popped giving the Anbu some pause before heading out.

"Mole, get Mizuki to Ibbiki in TNI" Mole quickly Picked up the bruise like a sack of potatoes, and ran on out.

"Snail, get Iruka to the hospital and get a report after his checkup" Faster than others Snail picked up Iruka bridal style and ran off with shouts of indignation from Iruka about walking himself.

"Now Uzumaki" Ferret held out his hand "the Hokage has a few things to discuss with you"

Naruto with a little trepidation nodded and took Ferret's hand, his whole world is covered in leaves before they fell off to reveal he was now in the Hokage's office. Looking around, the Hokage was at his desk but instead of doing the usual paperwork was smoking his pipe. Making eye contact with him, he was beckoned to take a seat, doing so after Ferret had disappeared in another swirl of leaves.

Sitting down Hiruzen took another puff of his pipe blowing out Smoak-shaped kunai before settling down with his eyes on Naruto. " I think you had quite an eventful night, Don't you think"

Naruto after having had a bit to let it sink took a more muted stance and replied "Yeah it has. Hey old man, am I…. am I a monster?"

With a sigh, Hiruzen put down his pipe and straightened up " No, Naruto, you are not a monster, and I am sorry you learned that from him."

Naruto's slump did not lessen.

Hiruzen had hoped he would have a few more years but knew it was time to have this talk. He just hoped that he could help his successor's son.

" Naruto, you are something more and much better than that. You could be called a few things like a jailer, warden, protector, or guardian, but what you are is a jinchuriki."

Naruto was still slumped but you could see the shine of confusion and curiosity in his eyes.

" A jin shuro what?"

" A jinchuriki" Hiruzen clarified " You are the container for the Bijuu, the tailed beast, and you specifically the Nine-tailed Fox, while an unfair task, you are its jailer, protecting everyone here from it and its rage…"

Naruto began to be less slumped but hurts crept into his eyes

"But… why me?!"

"That would be because of the fourth Hokage and your parents. You were just born and when my successor needed someone with malleable chakra coils to seal the beast within and with your parents being good friends with him and not wanting to force someone else to sacrifice their child but also being the only ones close to him when the attack happened offered you, protecting you until they died making sure the 4th could seal the beast within you."

More hurt with the seed of anger planted

" Naruto that night anyone close to the fox died and you and your parents were near the epicenter of that calamity, but when I got to you I saw their wounds and I could tell that they didn't give up even after their last breath to protect you. And even if they didn't know if they would make it they knew you would have the best possible protection."

The hurt was still there but the seed of anger blossomed into confusion.

" Your parents very likely knew they would not make it and be able to see you grow up, not to mention the many enemies they had. Being a jinchuriki means that you have more chakra than what your family would have already given you. You would have regeneration, a beast that will protect you to protect itself, and a village that would also protect you because of how important you are."

" Even the 4th wanted you to be seen as a hero, and I tried, but this village's fear and hate of the fox is more deeply rooted and I wish I could have done more for you."

The hurt in his eyes was still there but a resolute fire was now alive as well.

"Well, then I'll just have to become Hokage in spite of all that hate!"

With a twinkle that another certain old man has, Hiruzen smiled, while the news hurt Naruto he would make it through this ordeal.

" You must know though that is an S-class secret, one that is punishable up to death, and what awaits Mizuki after we find out why he set this up. Technically, due to you being the secret, there's not much we could do to stop you from telling others you are a jinchuriki. But I would strongly suggest against it, because that could have a lot more targets put on your back than you already have."

Hearing the serious voice turned back on, Naruto vigorously started nodding his head. And after a moment With a questioning voice, naruto stated " Are there more jinchuriki?"

" Yes, you are aware that there are 9 beasts, right?"

A nod.

"That means there are about eight others like you out there, that house the other beast."

A nod of understanding and contemplation.

"The next thing up on the list I want to talk about are those chains of yours."

Almost immediately Naruto perked about the cool ability he now had. " You know what these are old man! Can you tell me how they work and why I have them?!"

"yes, a little bit, and yes. You are part of an old clan that got dispersed during the third great shinobi war, the Uzumaki, and it is where you get your immense chakra, Bijuu withstanding, and youthfulness I would hazard to guess."

At the mere mention of youthfulness on the other side of the village, two miniature suns appeared with the sound of waves, Hiruzen giving a small smirk at all the pain he caused shinobi within the area of Might Guy's and Rock Lee's residence that was strategically assigned near the Shimura residence.

"They have a bloodline ability passed down in the family like the Uchiha or Hyuga eyes called the adamantine chains. And, while I don't know many specifics, it lets you create and manipulate chains made of your chakra. We had checked if you could use it but the results showed it was dormant, so it is a bit surprising to see them again"

"Have you seen others use this?" inquired Naruto.

"I have, your mother and another Uzumaki where one of the two I have seen use it"

"My mom!?"

"Yes, she used it though as a secondary ability to heighten her Fūinjutsu fighting style"

Hiruzen, if he didn't before, now had Naruto's full attention after mentioning his mother. While they discussed before that he can't go into detail about his parents for safety, Naruto still loved it whenever he got anything about his parents out of the Hokage.

"If you can, may I see your chains?"

Naruto's excitement calmed down with him now having a quizzical face "I'm not quite sure how, they kind of come out on their own whenever I've seen them"

Hiruzen gives a slight nod " From how it's been described to me in the past, imagine your chakra taking the form of links of the chain with a spear point at the tip, then push it out."

Naruto had pointed his hand to the side and imagined what the old man told him. Next thing he knew five chains were sticking into various parts of the old man's office.

Naruto sheepishly rubbed the back of his head trying to dispel the chains as best as possible.

Hiruzen took an extra deep inhale of his pipe trying to think where Kushina put those scrolls about the adamantine chains.

One Anbu was sweating and thanking Kami that he didn't get castrated.

Two more were having panic attacks, long suppressed memories unlocked from hearing the last name Uzumaki and seeing those chains. They were freaking out because the red-hot habanero either reproduced or had a relative in Konoha.

'Please Kami let it be the Latter!'
