Miraculous Ghost Panic
Chapter 5 Arrival

The plane carrying Vivi, Arthur, and Mystery arrived at the Paris airport and the trio got off the plane. They went through the terminal, collected their bags, and found Alya carrying a welcome sign with their names on it. Vivi smiled and waved as she and the others went over to Alya.
"It's so nice to finally meet you and your friends Vivi." Said Alya.
"And it's nice to finally meet you, Alya." Said Vivi as the two of them shook hands.
"Good to be here." Said Arthur.
"I'm glad you're all here. If you don't mind me asking Arthur, what happened to your arm?" Said Alya indicating Arthur's mechanical left arm.
"Well we were investigating this old mine, we split up...and I felt a dark weird presence. Next thing I knew my arm was no longer attached to my body, it was missing, and I was bleeding out." Said Arthur with a bit of a shiver.
"Oh my! What happened afterwards?" Said Alya with interest.
"I managed to stagger to my feet and Mystery and Vivi found me. Vivi took off my vest and use it to stop the bleeding and then she helped me get back to our van. We raced to the hospital and the doctors managed to save me. After I was stabilized we left. I had one arm, but luckily my parents and uncle were into gizmos and gadgets and they built me this mechanical arm." Said Arthur.
"That's amazing! So was it a ghost, monster, or wild animal that took your arm?" Said Alya.
"Honestly... I have no idea. The whole thing was kind of a blur and we have stayed clear of that cave ever since." Said Arthur.
They headed outside to board a bus, when people stared to run and scream. Alya and the others turned to see a strange woman with grey skin, red eyes, black hair, dressed in a what appeared to be a maid's outfit and holding what appeared a staff looked like a parking meter.
"I am the Meter Maid!" Bellied the woman as she waved her staff and fired coins the size of manholes at some parked cars smashing them to bits.
"Is that a super villain?!" Yelled Arthur as he and the others ducked behind the bus.
"It is." Said Alya as she pulled out her phone and began filming.
"We've been in Paris less then an hour and we already encountered a super villain." Said Vivi in amazement.
The Meter Maid continued to wreck some more cars and cause chaos, when Ladybug and Cat Noir jumped down and arrived on the scene.
"Stop right there!" Ordered Ladybug.
"Never! Your time has expired!" Declared Meter Maid before she began to fire coins at the two heroes forcing them to dodge around to avoid getting hit.
Vivi watched the fight and felt an odd urge to join the battle. She noticed that the cargo compartment of the bus was open and that there was a metal baseball bat among the luggage. Vivi grabbed the bat and raced towards Meter Maid.
"Vivi!" Cried Arthur.
"What is she doing?!" Yelled Alya.
Vivi reached Meter Maid and swung the bat with incredible speed and force. Meter Maid quickly raised her staff and blocked the attack. Vivi struck the staff again and again and as she struck her bat glowed a faint blue and ice and frost began to form on Meter Maid's staff. One blow sent Meter Maid skidding back and she looked down in shock to see that her weapon was covered in ice!
Vivi charged in and swung again and this time the staff shattered to bits and Meter Maid fell to her rear. Vivi looked down at the defeated super villain and then she began to fall to her side, but Cat Noir quickly came in and caught her.
"You ok?" Asked Cat Noir.
"I think...so. I don't know what came over me." Mumbled Vivi.
Ladybug who had already summoned her Lucky Charm, a baseball, went over to Meter Maid, took off her hat and ripped it in half freeing the Akuma. She captured and purified the butterfly, turning Meter Maid back into a normal human, and summoned a swarm of butterflies to undo the damage caused by Meter Maid. Ladybug turned her attention to Cat Noir and Vivi and wasn't sure what to make of this odd development as Arthur, Alya, and Mystery ran over.
"That was incredible! How did you do that?" Said Alya.
"I don't know." Admitted Vivi.
"Well whatever that was. Thank you for helping us." Said Ladybug.
"You were amazing." Said Cat Noir.
"Thanks." Said Vivi looking a bit shy.
"Well we have to get going." Said Ladybug.
"Wait! I need to talk to you. I think one of my ancestors was a previous Ladybug and I want to ask you a few questions. I also want to help figure out Hawkmoth's identity." Said Vivi.
"I understand. Look, I'll find you later and will talk." Said Ladybug.
"Ok." Said Vivi.
Ladybug and Cat Noir left the scene and as things returned to normal, Vivi, Arthur, Alya, and Mystery boarded a bus and it drove off.
