Miraculous Ghost Panic
Chapter 8 Revenge Pursuit

Ladybug carried Arthur on her back as she used her yoyo to swing from rooftop to rooftop with Lewis in hot pursuit. Lewis hurled fireballs at the fleeing duo just barely missing them. Ladybug realized she couldn't keep avoiding Lewis forever and tried calling out to reason with the vengeful ghost.
"Lewis stop! I get you're angry about what happened to you, but this isn't helping and it won't undo what has been done to you! Please let's just calm down and talk about it!" Yelled Ladybug as she stopped to face Lewis.
"You have no idea what I have suffered because of the man you're protecting!" Yelled Lewis with rage.
"But it wasn't his fault. Arthur said he was takeover by a evil spirit that made him push you off that cliff." Said Ladybug.
"You honestly expect me to believe that? Arthur is lying and he will say anything to save his own skin and be with Vivi. He will pay for what he did and I will make sure that or anyone else can be hurt by Arthur. Now step aside." Said Lewis as flames danced on his fingertips.
Ladybug eyed the ghost nervously and Arthur spoke.
"Just let him have me, Ladybug. Letting Lewis have his revenge is the only way to stop him." Said Arthur.
"Arthur you can't! Lewis will kill you!" Said Ladybug looking at Arthur with concern.
"If you don't let him have me, he'll burn Paris to the ground and everyone in it! I don't want to see Vivi, you, or anyone else get hurt because of me. Lewis isn't going to stop coming after me and he isn't going to listen to any reasoning. This is my fault. I was jealous and that evil spirit in the mine sensed it and took me over. I may have not wanted to kill Lewis and it may have been a evil spirit that did it, but it still happened by my hands. This is the only way I can think of to make things right." Said Arthur looking serious.
"Arthur you can't." Said Ladybug.
"But I have to. At least no one else has to get hurt, because of me." Said Arthur looking up at Lewis.
"So you have some courage after all. I'm impressed Arthur. I promise to make your death quick. Now step away from the superhero." Said Lewis.
Ladybug didn't know what to do, she wanted to save Arthur, but she also needed to protect Paris as well. Lewis was determined to get his revenge and it didn't matter who got in his way and Ladybug was unsure if she could actually beat a ghost. At that moment reinforcements arrived in the form of of Cat Noir, who came leaping in with his extended staff and struck Lewis across the chest sending him flying to the ground below near a fountain. Ladybug took this opportunity to swing down with her yoyo and kicked Lewis in the chest as he got up and knocked him into the fountain.
Lewis yelled in pain and rage as his body struck the water and steam rose up. Cat Noir landed next to Ladybug and Arthur as they watched Lewis thrash around in the water.
"This won't stop me!" Yelled Lewis as he began to start to pull himself out of the fountain.
"You need to cool down!" Yelled Vivi as she suddenly appeared on the scene, her bat glowing blue as she swung it through the air unleashing a wave of blue energy.
The energy struck the water and it began to freeze immediately encasing Lewis's body in ice. The only thing of Lewis that remained unfrozen was his head. Lewis's flames and died down to tiny flames.
"That was amazing." Said Alva as she and Mystery looked at the captured Lewis.
"Nice move." Said Ladybug.
"Looks like this threat has been put on ice." Joked Cat Noir.
"We still need to convince Lewis to stop seeking revenge on Arthur." Said Ladybug as she set Arthur down.
"Easier said then done." Muttered Arthur.
It was then things took a turn for the worse as a Akuma flew onto the scene and landed right on the gold heart locket on his chest. The vengeful ghost was about to get a power upgrade.
