Forced truths

Elizabeth asked for a oneshot of Emma accidentally taking a truth potion during a magic lesson with Regina, hilarity and feels ensue.

Snow, David and Henry tried to hold back their giggles as Emma sat on the couch opposite them.

"It's not funny." She grumbled. Regina had told Emma- and her family- that for the next twenty four hours she would be unable to lie.

"It's a little funny." Henry said bravely, earning him a glare from Emma. "And helpful. Watch: mom, was it really Neal who left all the cookie crumbs in the kitchen yesterday?" He asked. Try as Emma might to keep her mouth shut, it was impossible.

"No." She blurted out. "It was me." Henry grinned whilst Snow looked shocked.

"Emma Swan! Blaming a two year old!" She said. Henry chuckled as Emma rolled her eyes. "Let me try. Emma, do you really eat your green beans when I put them on your plate?" Emma sighed.

"No." She said through gritted teeth. "I give them to Henry in exchange for some of my dessert." Snow looked to Henry and raised an eyebrow. He just shrugged his shoulders.

"It's a good deal for me."

"Ok, my turn." David interjected. "Emma, when we're doing paperwork at the station do you read it all, or just sign it anyway?" He asked.

"Sign it anyway." Emma said, giving up trying to stop herself.

"I knew you couldn't be so quick!" He exclaimed. At that Snow, Henry and David shared a chuckle.

"Yeah, just you all have a great laugh at my expense!" Emma shouted, getting up. "I don't suppose it occurred to any of you how frustrating this is!" She added, storming off upstairs. Henry looked down at his feet, feeling pretty ashamed of himself for starting it. He felt his grandpa squeeze his shoulder.

"Don't worry buddy, it's not your fault." He told him.

"We'll go talk to her, Henry. You wait down here." Snow said. She and David made their way up to Emma's room. Snow knocked.

"Emma, can we come in?" She asked.

"Well the door's open so I can't say no." Emma grumbled. Snow sighed, entering the room with David behind her. "You mad at us?"

"Yes." Emma answered simply.

"Alright," Snow said, sitting on the bed beside Emma. "Why are you mad?"

"Lots of reasons. I'm mad just now because you think this is funny when I could say something really hurtful at any given moment. Like I kind of just did." Emma sighed, rubbing her temple.

"We won't ask." David assured her. As much as Snow and David wanted Emma to open up to them and tell them what was bothering her it wasn't fair making her do it under a potion. Emma smiled gratefully.

"Want some hot chocolate?" Snow asked her. Emma smiled.

"Easiest yes of today."
