Chapter 2: Imagination in the Media
The next day, we all met up at the Carnegie Library in Squirrel Hill for a discussion on imagination in the media, as well as a Cactus and Sand party for the Kiersey family of North Point Breeze. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. We listened to NSYNC and 98 Degrees during the Cactus and Sand party as Carly and her guy friends conducted a homemade Cactus Craft and Alex and her guy friends conducted a Crepe Paper Cacti game, as well as Sarah and her guy friends giving out Jump Rope favors. "I think that imagination in the media is very useful," Carly stated. "I know that Angel has a very vivid imagination ever since I met her, and I have always loved that trait about her." "I always used my imagination whenever I was a kid trying to move into a new place," Spencer stated. "I was happy that Carly met a new friend with a vivid imagination," Mr. Benson stated. "Even though it is cold, I can imagine that I live in a winter wonderland," Max stated. "My 31st birthday is coming up in 2 days!" "This could be similar to my marching band fundraiser for Disney World," Justin added. "I didn't have to imagine that I had another friend who loved music," Alex stated. "It was fun having Angel as a friend for the very first time." After we talked about imagination in the media for an hour, we headed down the street to Napoli Pizzeria for dinner after listening to Kate Bush and Lizzo. "Being a friend is one of the most special things ever," Sarah stated, "and it doesn't even require any imagination!" "It was exciting meeting you guys for the first time at your parents' wedding," I pointed out. "I was finally excited to welcome 2 nice young ladies to the family for a change," James pointed out. "Plus, I love spaghetti and salad thanks to Sarah and James's honors banquet," Henri stated. "We need some better venues for banquets and other special events because the Sixth Presbyterian Church is kind of bland," I pointed out. "I know that we have the Edgewood Country Club and Veltre's, but what else could there be?" "There is the Pittsburgh Shrine Center ballroom a couple miles down from the Harmar House," James pointed out. "That could be a possibility for the Taylor Allderdice Honors banquet and autism banquets this spring!" I happily exclaimed. "It is still too bad what happened to the Harmar House last summer, though!" After dinner, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
